Measure for your curtains

Enter your width and height together, then apply your measurements.

Size-dropdown widths are flat fabric widths per curtain.

A gathered curtain covers less space than its flat fabric width. Choose fullness below; Grommet/Eyelet and Pinch pleats always need 2× your coverage width.

This selection also updates Heading style on the product page.

Choose your fullness

Multiply the rod / track coverage by your fullness, then divide by the number of curtains.

Photorealistic fullness examples; actual folds vary with fabric and heading.

Measure the usable span of your installed rod or track, from one end of the curtain coverage to the other. Exclude decorative finials.

A pair contains two curtains. The flat fabric width you order is per curtain, not the combined pair. Choosing a curtain count here updates Panel quantity on the product page.

Enter the full measured drop. For Hooks top only, we subtract 1 in (2.54 cm) because the curtain hangs slightly below the rod. Do not deduct it yourself.

Finished curtain height to orderEnter the height you measured above.

Apply your measurements

We select the exact available flat-width × finished-height size, or the closest larger size fitting both dimensions. For a larger size, your exact request is added to Custom sizes / requirements, preserving your own notes. Your curtain-count choice also updates Panel quantity on the product page.

Review your heading and fullness before applying. This updates your selected size but does not add anything to your cart.

How to measure · illustrations and examples

Measure the space your curtains will cover

Measure the usable span of your installed rod or track, from one end of the curtain coverage to the other. Exclude decorative finials.

Measure the usable rod or track span—not the window glass or decorative finials.

Example: a 100 in (254 cm) rod, two curtains and 2× fullness need 100 in (254 cm) flat width per curtain.

Flat fabric width before gathering or pleating—not the hanging coverage.

Measure from the top of the rod to your chosen bottom

Measure straight down from the top of your installed curtain rod to where you want the curtains to end. For a track, use the top of the installed track.

Start at the top of the rod or track. Stop at your chosen bottom.

White Pure Linen Curtains, Rust Red Dusty Blue Embroidered Botanical Vine, Custom Blackout or Light Filtering Drapes

Product description
Shipping & returns

WHITE PURE LINEN CURTAINS WITH RUST RED, DUSTY BLUE & OCHRE BOTANICAL VINE EMBROIDERY

Bring natural linen texture, beautifully raised embroidery and an elegant garden-inspired colour palette to your windows with these custom-made heavyweight pure linen curtains.

The face fabric has a soft white to natural ivory-white pure linen ground covered with graceful embroidered botanical branches. Warm ochre-gold and camel-gold stems curve organically across the cloth, carrying alternating sprays of rust-red and dusty-blue leaves.

The red embroidery ranges from muted brick red and rust through deeper terracotta-red and soft crimson tones.

The blue embroidery has a softer, slightly weathered quality and ranges from dusty blue and cornflower blue through muted denim, slate blue and soft French blue.

The branches themselves are embroidered in warm golden ochre, antique gold, wheat, camel and mustard-tan tones.

The overall colour combination is:

SOFT WHITE + RUST RED + DUSTY BLUE + OCHRE GOLD

The design is colourful without being excessively bright and patterned without being overly dense. Generous areas of the white linen remain visible between the embroidered branches, allowing the genuine linen texture to remain an important part of the finished curtain.

These curtains are made from thick, heavy PURE LINEN embroidered fabric and can be ordered as either:

• ONE SINGLE CURTAIN PANEL

or

• A PAIR / SET OF TWO MATCHING CURTAIN PANELS

Three lining choices are available:

• UNLINED
• ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER
• OEKO-TEX® CERTIFIED 100% BLACKOUT POLYCOTTON LINER

A wide selection of standard sizes is available, and custom finished widths and lengths can also be made.

COLOR DESCRIPTION

This textile has a layered, natural colour palette rather than flat primary colours.

BACKGROUND COLOR

The linen ground appears as:

• Soft white
• Natural white
• Ivory-white
• Warm off-white
• Very pale cream
• Natural linen white

It is not an intensely blue-toned optical white.

Because the base is genuine linen, tiny natural yarn variations create subtle tonal depth throughout the background.

In bright daylight the ground may appear cleaner and whiter.

Under warmer indoor lighting it may appear slightly creamier or more ivory.

This natural variation is especially attractive beside the multicoloured embroidery.

RUST RED EMBROIDERY

A large proportion of the leaves are embroidered in warm red tones.

Depending on light and screen settings, these can appear as:

• Rust red
• Brick red
• Terracotta red
• Muted crimson
• Warm berry red
• Burnt red
• Clay red
• Soft paprika red
• Antique red

The red is not a fluorescent or extremely bright scarlet.

It has an earthy quality that works particularly well with the natural linen ground and ochre branches.

DUSTY BLUE EMBROIDERY

The second main foliage colour is a muted medium blue.

These leaves may read as:

• Dusty blue
• Cornflower blue
• Slate blue
• Muted denim blue
• French blue
• Soft steel blue
• Faded indigo-blue
• Blue-grey

The blue is neither navy nor turquoise.

It has a softly weathered, slightly greyed quality that balances the warmer red embroidery beautifully.

OCHRE-GOLD BRANCHES

The main scrolling branches are embroidered in a warm earthy golden tone.

Depending on lighting, they may appear as:

• Golden ochre
• Antique gold
• Camel gold
• Wheat
• Mustard tan
• Warm ochre
• Honey beige
• Golden brown

This warm branch colour connects the red and blue foliage while adding another natural, earthy layer to the design.

OVERALL COLOR IMPRESSION

The strongest visual impression is:

WHITE / IVORY-WHITE LINEN
+
RUST / BRICK RED LEAVES
+
DUSTY / CORNFLOWER BLUE LEAVES
+
OCHRE-GOLD BRANCHES

This combination works particularly well because the red and blue provide contrast while the ochre stems soften the transition between them.

The generous white background keeps the curtain fresh and versatile even when used over a large window.

BOTANICAL VINE EMBROIDERY

The defining feature of the fabric is its flowing embroidered botanical foliage pattern.

Rather than large conventional flower heads, the design is based primarily on:

• Curving botanical vines
• Branching stems
• Leaf sprays
• Climbing foliage
• Rust-red leaves
• Dusty-blue leaves
• Ochre embroidered branches
• Graceful arching stems
• Fine secondary branches
• Open areas of white linen

The principal ochre branches move organically rather than forming a rigid geometric repeat.

Some rise vertically before bending outward.

Others create long sweeping curves.

Smaller stems emerge from the larger branches and carry repeated pointed leaves.

The leaves vary slightly in embroidered treatment.

Some are outlined.

Some contain inner stitched detailing.

Others use denser stitch work.

This variation gives the foliage additional depth when viewed close up.

The overall appearance can be described as:

• Botanical
• Floral foliage
• Embroidered vine
• Leaf embroidery
• Garden inspired
• Cottage botanical
• Romantic botanical
• English cottage inspired
• French country compatible
• Grandmillennial compatible
• Organic floral
• Traditional botanical with a fresh colour palette
• Nature-inspired window treatment

The pattern has enough open ground to remain elegant on long curtain panels instead of becoming visually overwhelming.

GENUINE EMBROIDERY — NOT PRINTED

The botanical design is genuinely EMBROIDERED onto the linen.

The red, blue and ochre motifs are formed with actual embroidery thread.

They are not digitally printed.

They are not a flat imitation of embroidery.

They are not painted.

They are not jacquard woven.

The stitched design has physical texture and sits slightly above the woven linen surface.

When viewed closely, individual stitches can be seen forming:

• Branch edges
• Fine stems
• Leaf outlines
• Inner leaf veins
• Solid and partially filled foliage details

Natural side lighting can create tiny highlights and shadows across the raised embroidery, adding dimension to the textile.

This combination of genuine pure linen and real embroidery gives the fabric considerably more visual and tactile character than a flat printed synthetic curtain.

HEAVYWEIGHT PURE LINEN — APPROXIMATELY 294 GSM

The decorative face fabric is PURE LINEN.

The supplied fabric weight is:

403 grams per linear metre

on fabric measuring:

54 inches wide.

54 inches is approximately 1.3716 metres.

403 g ÷ 1.3716 m = approximately 293.8 g/m².

The face fabric therefore weighs approximately:

294 GSM

This is a substantial curtain-weight linen rather than lightweight linen gauze or voile.

The heavier construction gives the curtains:

• Good body
• A substantial natural fall
• Defined folds
• Strong textile presence
• A premium curtain-weight feel
• Greater visual richness across large windows

Despite its weight, genuine linen still retains the relaxed character associated with flax fibre.

NATURAL LINEN TEXTURE

Pure linen is naturally irregular and should not look perfectly uniform like a synthetic textile.

Normal linen characteristics may include:

• Natural slubs
• Slightly thicker yarns
• Slightly finer yarns
• Small woven irregularities
• Subtle tonal variation
• Natural fibre texture
• Gentle creasing
• Tiny changes in weave density

These characteristics are inherent to genuine linen and contribute to its natural beauty.

They are not defects.

The embroidered design sits over this textured woven ground, allowing both the embroidery and authentic linen weave to remain visible.

UNLINED — SEMI-SHEER PRIVACY CURTAINS

Choose the UNLINED option when you want the pure linen and embroidery in their most natural form.

Although this is substantial approximately 294 GSM linen, genuine linen can still allow daylight through the weave when illuminated strongly from behind.

The unlined version therefore has a naturally:

SEMI-SHEER / LIGHT-FILTERING / PRIVACY CURTAIN EFFECT.

It is significantly thicker than lightweight voile or gauze, but it is not naturally blackout.

The unlined option provides:

• Soft natural daylight
• Gentle light filtering
• Moderate daytime privacy
• Maximum visibility of the linen texture
• A relaxed natural drape
• Beautiful illumination of the embroidery

When sunlight falls through from behind, the red, blue and ochre embroidery remains visually defined while the white linen ground becomes softly illuminated.

Because the fabric remains somewhat translucent in strong backlighting, silhouettes can sometimes be visible.

Night-time privacy can also vary depending on how brightly the room is illuminated compared with the exterior.

For complete opacity and increased privacy, choose the organic cotton liner.

ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER

Choose the ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER when you want greater privacy while still allowing the room to retain softly filtered ambient daylight.

The organic cotton lining is fitted behind the embroidered pure linen face fabric.

This option makes the finished curtain completely opaque rather than semi-sheer.

Benefits include:

• Complete visual opacity through the curtain body
• Additional privacy
• Reduced visibility of silhouettes
• Soft light filtering
• Additional curtain body
• Fuller-looking folds
• A more substantial finished window treatment

This option works particularly well for:

• Living rooms
• Dining rooms
• Bedrooms
• Guest bedrooms
• Home offices
• Children's rooms
• Nurseries
• Street-facing windows

Choose cotton lining when privacy is important but you do not require complete darkness.

OEKO-TEX® CERTIFIED 100% BLACKOUT LINER

Choose the OEKO-TEX® certified 100% BLACKOUT POLYCOTTON LINER when maximum light blocking is required.

This lining is designed to prevent transmitted light from passing through the main body of the curtain.

It is particularly suitable for:

• Bedrooms
• Children's rooms
• Nurseries
• Guest bedrooms
• Media rooms
• Home cinemas
• Strong morning-sun windows
• Rooms affected by street lighting
• Shift workers
• Customers who prefer a very dark sleeping environment

The embroidered decorative face remains visible from inside the room while the blackout layer performs the light-blocking function behind it.

The blackout lining blocks light through the fabric itself.

Please remember that complete ROOM darkness also depends on installation.

Small amounts of light can still enter around:

• The sides of the curtain
• The centre opening
• The top
• The bottom

if gaps remain around the window.

For the strongest room-darkening effect, adequate curtain fullness and generous coverage around the window are recommended.

SOLD AS ONE CURTAIN OR A PAIR / SET OF TWO

You can purchase these curtains either individually or as a matching pair.

SINGLE PIECE

Selecting SINGLE PIECE means you receive:

ONE finished curtain panel.

A single curtain can work well for:

• Narrow windows
• Doors
• One-direction curtain openings
• Decorative side panels
• Smaller spaces
• Adding one additional matching panel

PAIR / SET OF TWO

Selecting PAIR / SET OF TWO means you receive:

TWO matching finished curtain panels.

A pair is typically used with one curtain positioned on each side of a window.

Pairs are particularly suitable for:

• Bedroom windows
• Living-room windows
• Dining-room windows
• Nursery windows
• Guest-room windows
• French doors
• Sliding doors
• Large picture windows

Please check carefully whether you have selected ONE PANEL or a PAIR before completing your purchase.

STANDARD WIDTH OPTIONS

Two standard finished width options are available:

• 50 inches
• 100 inches

The selected width refers to the approximate FINISHED FLAT WIDTH OF EACH CURTAIN before gathering.

UNDERSTANDING CURTAIN FULLNESS

The finished flat width is not the same as the width the curtain will occupy after it has been gathered.

Curtains generally look more substantial when the combined curtain width is greater than the width of the rod or track.

The amount of fullness you require depends on:

• Window size
• Rod width
• Track width
• Heading style
• Whether you purchase one or two panels
• Your preferred amount of gathering

For example:

A PAIR of 50-inch-wide curtains provides approximately 100 inches of combined flat finished curtain width before gathering.

When measuring, it is generally more useful to consider the full rod or track width rather than measuring only the glass.

IMPORTANT — 100-INCH-WIDE CURTAINS

Every 100-inch-wide finished curtain requires joined fabric widths.

A 100-inch-wide curtain will therefore be constructed by joining:

TWO APPROXIMATELY 50-INCH-WIDE FACE-FABRIC PANELS.

The two sections are professionally sewn together with a vertical joining seam.

The seam runs vertically through the finished curtain.

After the curtain is installed and gathered into folds, this joining line is generally barely visible.

Joining multiple fabric widths is a normal professional curtain-making technique used for extra-wide custom curtain panels.

If you purchase a PAIR of 100-inch-wide curtains, each individual 100-inch curtain will contain a joining seam.

Because this is an embroidered patterned fabric, the design will be joined as neatly and harmoniously as practical while maintaining the overall flow of the botanical pattern.

STANDARD LENGTH OPTIONS

Finished curtain heights are available from:

36 INCHES TO 180 INCHES

in 12-inch increments.

Standard lengths include:

• 36 inches
• 48 inches
• 60 inches
• 72 inches
• 84 inches
• 96 inches
• 108 inches
• 120 inches
• 132 inches
• 144 inches
• 156 inches
• 168 inches
• 180 inches

This wide range makes the curtains suitable for:

• Shorter windows
• Standard bedroom windows
• Living-room windows
• Floor-length curtains
• French doors
• Sliding doors
• High ceilings
• Floor-to-ceiling windows
• Extra-tall architectural windows

FOUR HEADING STYLES AVAILABLE

Choose from four different heading styles:

1. HOOKS TOP
2. BACK TABS
3. ROD POCKET
4. GROMMETS

Please state your preferred heading in the order details email.

HOOKS TOP

The hooks-top heading is compatible with BOTH:

• Curtain tracks

and

• Curtain rods / poles

For rods, the hooks can be used with appropriate curtain rings.

For tracks, they can be attached to compatible gliders.

Hooks top is a versatile choice for customers who already have:

• A curtain track
• A pole with rings
• A rod-and-hook hanging system

It gives the curtain a tailored appearance while allowing the fabric to form controlled folds.

BACK TABS

Back tabs are fabric loops sewn behind the upper portion of the curtain.

The pole passes through these concealed tabs.

From the front, very little of the rod is visible.

Back tabs provide:

• Clean vertical folds
• Minimal visible hardware
• A simple tailored appearance
• A relaxed contemporary finish

This heading works especially well with embroidered fabric because the understated top treatment allows the botanical pattern to remain the focal point.

ROD POCKET

A rod pocket is a sewn channel across the top of the curtain.

The curtain pole slides directly through the pocket.

This heading creates:

• Soft gathering
• Simple installation
• A relaxed appearance
• No requirement for separate rings

Rod-pocket curtains work particularly well in:

• Bedrooms
• Guest rooms
• Cottage interiors
• Farmhouse-inspired rooms
• Smaller windows
• Cafe curtain applications

GROMMETS

With the grommet option, metal eyelets are fitted across the upper edge.

The curtain pole passes directly through them.

Grommets create:

• Regular rounded folds
• Smooth movement along the rod
• A clean contemporary appearance
• Visible decorative hardware

This heading offers a more modern contrast to the flowing embroidered botanical fabric.

CAFE CURTAINS ALSO AVAILABLE

We can also make CAFE CURTAINS from this same white, rust-red, dusty-blue and ochre embroidered pure linen.

Cafe curtains are shorter window curtains commonly used to cover the lower portion of a window while leaving the upper section open.

They are especially useful when you want privacy at eye level while retaining natural light through the uncovered part of the window.

The leafy embroidered design is particularly attractive on cafe curtains because the branching foliage provides decorative interest even on shorter panels.

These can work beautifully as:

• Kitchen cafe curtains
• Kitchen sink curtains
• Breakfast-nook curtains
• Bathroom cafe curtains
• Powder-room curtains
• Laundry-room curtains
• Utility-room curtains
• Pantry curtains
• Small cottage-window curtains
• Half-window privacy curtains

The combination of white linen, red and blue embroidery has a fresh cottage quality that works particularly well in kitchens and breakfast rooms.

For custom cafe curtains, select the next appropriate available size up and state your exact finished dimensions in Personalization.

Please also state the required heading and liner.

BEDROOM CURTAINS

This embroidered linen works particularly well in bedrooms because its pattern has colour and visual interest while still retaining a large amount of light neutral background.

Pair with:

• White bedding
• Ivory bedding
• Natural linen bedding
• Dusty blue textiles
• Brick-red accents
• Terracotta cushions
• Ochre throws
• Natural oak
• Walnut
• Antique brass
• Cane and rattan

Choose the organic cotton lining for complete privacy and a softly light-filtered room.

Choose blackout lining where maximum darkness is required.

LIVING ROOM CURTAINS

The fabric is sophisticated enough for living rooms and larger formal spaces.

The white ground keeps the design fresh while the rust-red, dusty-blue and ochre embroidery adds colour without requiring heavily patterned furniture.

It pairs beautifully with:

• Cream sofas
• White upholstery
• Natural linen upholstery
• Camel leather
• Cognac leather
• Walnut furniture
• Oak furniture
• Antique brass
• Woven rugs
• Natural stone
• Handmade ceramics

COTTAGECORE & ENGLISH COTTAGE INTERIORS

The scrolling botanical branches make the fabric especially suitable for cottage-inspired spaces.

Use alongside:

• Vintage timber
• Painted furniture
• Warm white walls
• Botanical artwork
• Brass lighting
• Woven baskets
• Traditional rugs
• Blue ceramics
• Red accents
• Natural fibre upholstery

The embroidered foliage provides a garden-inspired element without using oversized conventional flower blooms.

FRENCH COUNTRY INSPIRED INTERIORS

The white ground, faded blue foliage and warm red accents can also work beautifully with French-country interiors.

Combine with:

• Distressed wood
• Warm cream
• Dusty blue
• Antique brass
• Natural oak
• Weathered furniture
• Vintage ceramics
• Soft neutral upholstery

The ochre-gold stems add warmth and prevent the red-and-blue combination from feeling too nautical or patriotic.

GRANDMILLENNIAL & UPDATED TRADITIONAL INTERIORS

Botanical fabrics are especially effective in layered traditional interiors.

This design provides a fresher embroidered interpretation because the large open white ground keeps it lighter than a dense chintz.

It can coordinate with:

• Antique furniture
• Patterned cushions
• Blue-and-white ceramics
• Traditional lamps
• Brass details
• Warm timber
• Vintage artwork

The embroidery adds tactile interest that a conventional printed botanical curtain cannot provide.

ORGANIC MODERN INTERIORS

Although the design has traditional botanical influences, its natural linen construction also allows it to work in organic-modern spaces.

Pair it with:

• Light oak
• Travertine
• Limestone
• Cream upholstery
• Simple furniture
• Woven natural fibres
• Handmade pottery
• Matte-black or brass accents

The irregular linen texture provides the organic element while the embroidery adds controlled colour.

NURSERY & CHILDREN'S ROOM CURTAINS

The red-and-blue botanical design can also work well in children's rooms or nurseries because it is colourful without relying on cartoon imagery.

It can transition easily as the room changes with age.

Pair it with:

• Soft white
• Dusty blue
• Natural oak
• Warm red accents
• Neutral rugs
• Cane furniture
• Woven baskets

For naps and sleep, the blackout lining is the most suitable choice when maximum light blocking is wanted.

DINING ROOM CURTAINS

The textile coordinates especially well with natural timber dining furniture.

Try pairing it with:

• Walnut tables
• Oak tables
• Cane chairs
• Cream upholstery
• Blue ceramics
• Terracotta pottery
• Brass pendant lighting
• Woven rugs
• Natural stone

The embroidered botanical design can add pattern without requiring wallpaper or heavily patterned upholstery.

EXTRA-LONG CURTAINS

Lengths are available up to 180 inches.

This allows the fabric to be used on very tall windows including:

• Floor-to-ceiling windows
• High-ceiling bedrooms
• Double-height living rooms
• Tall dining rooms
• Loft spaces
• Large French doors
• Architectural glazing

The sweeping branches are especially effective over longer drops because the vine pattern appears to climb naturally across the curtain.

PATTERN PLACEMENT

Because these curtains are individually cut from a continuously embroidered fabric, the exact position of particular red or blue leaf sprays will vary depending on the selected size.

Exact motif placement relative to:

• Top edge
• Side edge
• Bottom hem
• Joining seam

cannot be identical on every curtain.

This is normal for made-to-order curtains produced from patterned decorator fabric.

Where a pair is ordered, the panels will coordinate, but the botanical motifs should not be expected to form exact mirror images.

100-INCH PANEL PATTERN JOIN

Please remember that the 100-inch width is created by joining two approximately 50-inch fabric panels.

With a flowing botanical pattern, the sections will be joined as neatly and attractively as practical.

The professional vertical seam generally becomes difficult to notice once the finished curtain is installed and naturally gathered into folds.

• Brighter white in strong daylight

depending on:
