White Navy Linen Roman Shade, Blue Wavy Geometric Embroidered Custom Blind, Blackout or Light Filtering Window Shade
Custom White Navy embroidered pure linen Roman shade, individually made to your exact window measurements from thick, heavy luxury linen.
This sophisticated corded Roman blind features a bold flowing geometric design embroidered in deep navy blue, denim blue and dusty sky blue across a softly textured white linen background.
The brand officially calls this fabric colorway WHITE NAVY.
The raised embroidery forms parallel vertical ribbons that bend inward and outward, creating a continuous repeat of elongated diamonds, faceted ogee shapes, softly pointed ovals, narrow hourglass forms and abstract lantern-like medallions.
Two complementary shades of blue are used within each embroidered ribbon. Deeper navy, indigo and denim-blue sections alternate with lighter dusty blue, slate blue and muted sky-blue sections. The placement of the light and dark threads creates the appearance of overlapping, twisting or folded ribbons and gives the geometric pattern a dimensional designer-quality finish.
Choose between an organic cotton light-filtering liner for softly diffused natural daylight or a 100% blackout OEKO-TEX certified non-toxic polycotton liner for maximum darkness, privacy and light control.
The substantial pure linen face fabric is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified and has the visible woven texture, natural yarn variation and luxurious weight associated with genuine linen.
This made-to-measure Roman shade works beautifully in modern, coastal, organic modern, transitional, Scandinavian, minimalist, contemporary farmhouse, modern traditional, nautical, beach-house and sophisticated blue-and-white interiors.
Each Roman blind is individually produced according to the exact finished width and height entered in the Etsy order details email.

DETAILED COLOR DESCRIPTION
The brand identifies this fabric colorway as White Navy.
The pure linen background is a clean but softly natural white rather than a harsh, fluorescent or strongly blue-toned optical white.
Its woven surface contains subtle warm-white, natural-white and very pale ivory undertones. The genuine linen weave introduces fine tonal variation throughout the background and prevents the fabric from appearing completely flat or synthetic.
The embroidered pattern combines several coordinated shades of blue.
The darker sections include:
Navy blue
Deep denim blue
Indigo blue
Ink blue
Dark coastal blue
Muted royal blue
The lighter sections include:
Dusty sky blue
Pale denim blue
Muted slate blue
Soft steel blue
Weathered blue
Blue-gray
The embroidery is not a flat single-color navy outline. Light and dark blue threads are placed beside one another to create shaded ribbon forms with visible depth.
One face of each flowing ribbon appears lighter and more powdery, while the adjoining face appears deeper and more saturated. This creates the visual impression of folded, twisting or overlapping bands.
The navy embroidery is rich enough to provide clear contrast against the white linen, while the faded blue highlights soften the overall effect and prevent the pattern from appearing excessively dark.
Under bright natural daylight, the white background may appear cleaner and brighter, while the lighter embroidery may look more sky blue or blue-gray.
Under warm indoor lighting, the white linen may appear slightly softer or creamier and the deep embroidered sections may read as dark denim or muted navy.
The White Navy palette coordinates beautifully with:
White and warm-white walls
Soft gray walls
Pale blue walls
Navy accent walls
Natural oak furniture

DETAILED PATTERN DESCRIPTION
The face fabric features a large-scale vertical geometric embroidery pattern.
Parallel embroidered ribbons travel vertically across the white linen, repeatedly bending and angling inward and outward.
As the embroidered bands approach one another and then move apart, they form a continuous sequence of tall open geometric motifs.
The pattern can accurately be described as:
Wavy geometric lattice
Undulating ribbon embroidery
Elongated diamond pattern
Faceted ogee embroidery
Pointed oval lattice
Abstract lantern shapes
Hourglass geometric pattern
Modern vertical trellis
Flowing ribbon stripe
Blue geometric embroidery
The widest sections form tall open diamonds, pointed ovals or abstract lantern-shaped medallions filled with the visible white linen background.
The narrow sections resemble pinched connections, angular waists or gently twisting points, creating a continuous vertical hourglass rhythm.
The changing direction of the light and dark embroidery gives each ribbon a dimensional folded appearance. Deep navy thread produces shadow and definition, while dusty blue thread creates highlights.
The embroidery is thick, smooth and visibly raised above the flatter woven linen surface. This tactile construction produces subtle shadows that change according to daylight, artificial lighting and viewing angle.
The vertical direction can visually emphasize the height of a window and gives the completed Roman blind a tall, streamlined appearance when fully lowered.
Generous open areas remain between the embroidered ribbons, allowing the softly textured white linen to stay clearly visible. The design therefore feels bold and graphic without becoming dense or visually overcrowded.
From a distance, the fabric appears as a refined blue-and-white geometric stripe.
At closer range, the shaded ribbons, individual stitches, raised embroidery and authentic linen weave become more prominent.
Because every Roman shade is produced to custom measurements, the exact number and placement of the embroidered repeats will depend on the finished width, finished height and fabric-cutting position.
Some custom sizes may begin or finish with partial motifs along the sides, top or bottom. Wider blinds will naturally display more complete geometric repeats.
WHY CHOOSE THIS CUSTOM ROMAN SHADE
This made-to-measure Roman blind combines practical window coverage with the organic texture of heavy pure linen and the visual depth of raised embroidery.
The substantial linen gives the shade body, structure and a tailored designer-quality appearance.
The two-tone navy and dusty blue embroidery adds color, movement and architectural pattern without using an overly ornate floral design.
Unlike a plain white Roman shade, this fabric provides strong geometric detail while retaining generous areas of neutral white linen.
The vertical design can help create the impression of a taller window, while its open construction keeps the pattern balanced and airy.
When fully lowered, the Roman blind displays the flowing embroidered pattern across the window.
When raised, the fabric gathers into structured horizontal Roman folds near the lower portion of the shade. The contrast between the vertical embroidery and horizontal folds creates an attractive layered appearance.

LINER OPTIONS
The liner choice must be entered in the Etsy order details email together with the exact measurements and installation method.
OPTION 1: ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER
The organic cotton light-filtering liner gently softens incoming daylight while allowing a comfortable natural glow to remain in the room.
It adds body and structure to the heavy embroidered linen, improves privacy and gives the reverse side of the Roman blind a clean and finished appearance.
The organic cotton light-filtering liner is recommended for:
Living rooms
Dining rooms
Kitchens
Breakfast nooks
Home offices
Guest bedrooms
Reading corners
Dressing rooms
Hallways
Bathrooms where complete darkness is not required
Light filtering does not mean blackout. Natural light will continue to pass softly through the lined Roman shade.
The precise light-filtering result will vary according to:
The direction of the window
The strength of the sunlight
The time of day
The season
The surrounding room lighting
The white linen background may appear brighter when direct daylight passes through it. The contrast and visibility of the navy and dusty blue embroidery may also change according to the direction and intensity of the light.
The light-filtering liner is a suitable choice when you want softened glare, improved privacy and a naturally illuminated room rather than complete darkness.
OPTION 2: 100% BLACKOUT OEKO-TEX CERTIFIED LINER
The blackout option uses a non-toxic OEKO-TEX certified polycotton liner made from 50% cotton and 50% polyester.
This liner is designed to block light from passing through the face fabric and is recommended for rooms requiring maximum darkness, increased privacy and stronger light control.
The 100% blackout liner is particularly suitable for:
Primary bedrooms
Guest bedrooms
Nurseries
Children’s bedrooms
Media rooms
Home theaters
Street-facing windows
Rooms receiving strong morning sunlight
Rooms requiring increased nighttime privacy
The blackout liner blocks light through the fabric itself.
A small amount of light may remain visible around the outside edges of an inside-mounted Roman shade because fitting clearance is required for smooth movement within the window recess.
For the darkest possible result, choose an outside-recess installation with sufficient overlap around the top, bottom and both sides of the window opening.

HOW TO MEASURE FOR AN INSIDE-RECESS ROMAN SHADE
An inside-recess or inside-mount Roman shade is fitted within the window opening for a clean, streamlined and built-in appearance.
1. Use a rigid metal measuring tape rather than a flexible fabric measuring tape.
2. Measure the internal recess width in three places: across the top, middle and bottom.
3. Record the smallest of the three width measurements.
4. Measure the internal recess height in three places: on the left, in the center and on the right.
5. Record the longest of the three height measurements.
6. Enter the exact recess width and height in the order details email.
7. Do not make your own width deduction. The necessary production allowance will be considered while making the Roman shade so it can operate smoothly within the recess.
8. Check that the recess has sufficient clear and flat space for the blind mechanism and mounting clamps.
9. Check for projecting window handles, locks, alarm sensors, tiles, molding, trim or other obstructions that could interfere with the shade.
10. Measure at the exact depth where the mounting clamps and Roman-blind mechanism will be installed.
11. Measure every window separately, even when several windows appear identical.
12. Do not provide only the dimensions of an existing blind because those measurements may already include manufacturing deductions.
INSIDE-RECESS MEASURING EXAMPLE
Top width: 35.50 inches
Middle width: 35.25 inches
Bottom width: 35.375 inches
Width to enter: 35.25 inches
Left height: 64.25 inches
Center height: 64.50 inches
Right height: 64.375 inches
Height to enter: 64.50 inches
HOW TO MEASURE FOR AN OUTSIDE-RECESS ROMAN SHADE
An outside-recess or outside-mount Roman shade is installed on the wall or window frame above and around the window opening.
This installation can provide increased privacy, improved coverage around the edges and a more prominent decorative appearance.
1. Measure the width of the uncovered window opening.
2. Decide how much the finished Roman shade should overlap on each side.
3. Where sufficient space is available, add approximately 2–3 inches or 5–7.5 cm to both the left and right sides.
4. The complete measurement, including the selected overlap, will be the finished Roman-shade width entered in the order details email.
5. Decide where the upper mounting clamps will be positioned.
6. Measure vertically from the planned upper mounting position to the exact point where the bottom of the Roman shade should finish.
7. Include the desired overlap above and below the window opening.
8. Enter the complete finished shade width and height rather than only the dimensions of the uncovered glass.
9. Check for projecting handles, vents, switches, molding, trim and other obstructions.
10. Confirm that sufficient flat surface is available for securely fitting the mounting clamps.
11. No width deduction is normally applied to an outside-recess finished measurement.
For a blackout Roman shade, generous overlap around all four sides can help reduce the amount of light entering around the outside edges.
OUTSIDE-RECESS MEASURING EXAMPLE
Window-opening width: 34 inches
Left-side overlap: 2.5 inches
Right-side overlap: 2.5 inches
Finished Roman-shade width to enter: 39 inches
Measure the finished height from the planned upper mounting position to the exact point where the bottom of the shade should finish.
INSTALLATION HARDWARE
Mounting clamps and screws are included with the Roman shade.
Inside-recess and outside-recess installations require different mounting clamps.
Please clearly state the intended installation method in the order details email so the correct clamps can be supplied.
Inside-recess clamps are intended for fitting the Roman blind within the window opening.
Outside-recess clamps are intended for fitting the Roman blind to the wall or window frame outside the opening.
The suitability of the supplied screws will depend on the material and condition of the installation surface.
Suitable wall plugs, anchors or specialist fixings may be required for plasterboard, tile, concrete, masonry, hollow walls or other surfaces.
Professional installation is recommended whenever the mounting surface or fitting method is uncertain.
IMPORTANT NATURAL LINEN INFORMATION
Pure linen naturally contains slubs, small yarn variations and subtle differences in weave density. These are normal characteristics of genuine linen and are not considered defects.
Minor variations may occur in the white linen background or navy-and-blue embroidery between separate fabric batches.
The exact placement of the embroidered pattern will vary according to the custom measurements and the section of fabric used.
The motifs may be partially cropped along the sides, top or bottom of the finished Roman shade.
The raised embroidery may create gentle natural variation in the surface and horizontal folds of the blind.
Actual colors may vary slightly because of photography, screen calibration, natural daylight, artificial lighting and surrounding room décor.
Please review every measurement carefully before ordering because each Roman shade is individually made according to the information supplied.
