Size-dropdown widths are flat fabric widths per curtain.

A gathered curtain covers less space than its flat fabric width. Choose fullness below; Grommet/Eyelet and Pinch pleats always need 2× your coverage width.

This selection also updates Heading style on the product page.

Choose your fullness

Multiply the rod / track coverage by your fullness, then divide by the number of curtains.

Measure the usable span of your installed rod or track, from one end of the curtain coverage to the other. Exclude decorative finials.

A pair contains two curtains. The flat fabric width you order is per curtain, not the combined pair. Choosing a curtain count here updates Panel quantity on the product page.

Enter the full measured drop. For Hooks top only, we subtract 1 in (2.54 cm) because the curtain hangs slightly below the rod. Do not deduct it yourself.

White Linen Curtains with Taupe Gray Palm Leaf Embroidery, Custom Botanical Drapes, Blackout or Light Filtering — image 1

White Linen Curtains with Taupe Gray Palm Leaf Embroidery, Custom Botanical Drapes, Blackout or Light Filtering

Product description
Shipping & returns

Create a calm, naturally elegant window treatment with these thick and heavy pure linen embroidered curtains, featuring delicately stitched palm fronds and feather-like botanical leaves in warm taupe-gray and soft greige tones over a fresh white linen background.

The embroidered pattern is composed of large and small elongated palm leaves arranged in a spacious, alternating repeat. Each leaf is formed from fine, slightly irregular lines of embroidery that resemble hand-drawn botanical sketches. The fine threadwork outlines the central stems and individual leaflets, giving the design a refined organic quality without making the curtains feel overly formal or ornate.

The embroidery colour is best described as a muted combination of warm taupe, mushroom gray and light greige. It is neither a dark charcoal gray nor a strong brown. Against the clean white linen ground, the neutral embroidery creates a soft, understated contrast that can be coordinated easily with both warm and cool interior palettes.

These are genuinely embroidered curtains rather than printed curtain panels. The palm-leaf design is created with raised threadwork, allowing the pattern and stitching to be seen and felt on the surface of the fabric. The embroidery gives the curtains texture, depth and handcrafted character while the open placement of the motifs allows the natural beauty of the white linen to remain visible.

The result is a sophisticated neutral botanical curtain suitable for modern, organic, coastal, Scandinavian, transitional, farmhouse, bohemian, minimalist and contemporary interiors.

FABRIC AND DESIGN DETAILS

Material: Thick and heavy pure linen embroidered fabric

Base colour: Soft white

Embroidery colour: Warm taupe gray, mushroom gray and light greige

Pattern: Alternating embroidered palm fronds, feather-like leaves and linear botanical branches

Pattern style: Spacious repeating botanical design with large and small leaf motifs

Fabric texture: Naturally textured linen with visible woven character and softly raised embroidery

Fabric weight: Approximately 294 GSM

The supplied fabric weight of 403 grams per linear metre has been converted according to a fabric width of 54 inches, or approximately 137.2 cm. This equals approximately 293.8 grams per square metre, rounded to 294 GSM.

The substantial linen weight allows the curtains to fall into elegant, structured folds rather than appearing thin or flat. Linen also has natural slubs, subtle yarn variations and slight irregularities in its weave. These characteristics are part of the natural appearance of pure linen and should not be considered defects.

The embroidered lines have an intentionally organic, hand-sketched quality. Minor variations within the stitching contribute to the botanical character of the pattern.

COLOUR AND PATTERN DESCRIPTION

The curtain background is a clean, soft white rather than beige or natural oatmeal. Depending on the surrounding light, the linen may appear slightly warmer than a bright optical white, but it does not have a strongly cream or yellow cast.

The palm-leaf embroidery combines:

Warm taupe gray

Soft mushroom gray

Muted greige

Subtle gray-brown thread detailing

The thread colour appears deeper along the central stems and wherever multiple embroidered lines overlap. The finer outer leaflets appear lighter and more delicate.

The pattern features several sizes of palm fronds arranged vertically across the fabric. Some leaves are tall and elongated, while others are shorter and more compact. The alternating placement creates movement while retaining a balanced and orderly overall appearance.

The neutral white-and-taupe palette can be coordinated with white, ivory, oatmeal, beige, tan, mushroom, greige, taupe, stone, warm gray, charcoal, natural wood, oak, walnut, cane, rattan and black decorative accents.

Or

A pair or set of two curtain panels

Please review the quantity selection carefully before placing your order.

When “Single Curtain” is selected, you will receive one individual curtain panel.

The width and height selected from the size menu refer to the finished measurements of each individual curtain.

For example:

A pair of 50-inch-wide curtains includes two curtains measuring approximately 50 inches wide each. The combined flat width of the pair will be approximately 100 inches.

A pair of 100-inch-wide curtains includes two curtains measuring approximately 100 inches wide each. The combined flat width of the pair will be approximately 200 inches.

AVAILABLE WIDTHS

50 inches wide — approximately 127 cm

100 inches wide — approximately 254 cm

The listed width is the flat finished fabric width of each curtain before it is gathered onto the rod or track.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT 100-INCH-WIDE CURTAINS

Every 100-inch-wide curtain will be made by carefully joining two approximately 50-inch-wide sections of embroidered linen.

A vertical joining seam will therefore be present near the middle of each 100-inch-wide curtain panel.

The two sections will be aligned and joined as neatly as the embroidery repeat permits. The seam is usually barely visible after the curtain has been installed, gathered and arranged into natural folds.

Because this is an embroidered repeating pattern, a completely uninterrupted match across the joining line cannot always be guaranteed. We will position the fabric carefully to create the most balanced result possible.

Please choose the 50-inch width when you prefer an individual curtain made from one continuous width of fabric without a centre joining seam.

CUSTOM-SIZE CURTAINS

Custom finished widths and heights can also be made.

To order a customized size:

1. Measure the exact finished width and finished height required for each individual curtain.

2. Select the next standard listing size that is equal to or larger than your required measurements.

3. Enter the exact required finished measurements in the order details email.

4. State whether the measurements apply to each individual curtain.

5. Enter your preferred heading style.

6. Enter your preferred lining option.

For example, when you require each curtain to measure 47 inches wide by 91 inches high, select the 50-inch-wide by 96-inch-high option and enter:

“Please make each curtain 47 inches wide × 91 inches high. Hooks top with organic cotton light-filtering liner.”

Please do not select a listing size smaller than the custom finished size required. The selected option must be large enough to accommodate the requested measurements.

LINING OPTIONS

These curtains are available in three different finishes:

1. UNLINED

The unlined option preserves the most natural appearance, texture and movement of the pure linen fabric.

When unlined, the curtains gently filter daylight and have a semi-sheer quality when exposed to strong sunlight. The embroidered design remains clearly visible while natural light softly passes through the white linen background.

Unlined curtains offer a degree of daytime privacy, but they are not intended to provide complete privacy at night. When interior lights are switched on after dark, silhouettes and shapes may remain visible from outside.

The reverse side of the embroidered stitching will also be visible from the back of an unlined curtain.

The unlined option is suitable for:

Living rooms where natural light is preferred

Dining areas

Home offices

Decorative side panels

Rooms that do not require complete privacy

Windows already fitted with blinds or shades

Layering with other window treatments

2. ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER

An organic cotton liner can be added for increased privacy, opacity, structure and body.

The cotton lining helps make the finished curtain completely opaque under normal interior conditions while continuing to allow a softly diffused glow of natural daylight into the room.

This lining is not a blackout lining and is not intended to create a fully dark room.

The organic cotton liner is suitable when you want:

Greater daytime and nighttime privacy

An opaque curtain appearance

Reduced visibility of the reverse embroidery

A fuller and more substantial drape

Softly filtered natural light

A natural-fibre lining option

The cotton liner also gives additional support to the linen and can help the curtains hang in fuller, more defined folds.

3. OEKO-TEX CERTIFIED 100% BLACKOUT LINER

The blackout option uses an OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, non-toxic polycotton blackout lining made from approximately 50% cotton and 50% polyester.

The blackout lining material blocks incoming light completely and provides the highest level of privacy.

It is particularly suitable for:

Bedrooms

Nurseries

Children’s rooms

Media rooms

Street-facing windows

Shift workers

Light-sensitive sleepers

Rooms exposed to strong morning sunlight

Spaces requiring maximum privacy

The blackout liner creates a significantly darker room than either the unlined or organic cotton-lined option.

Although the lining material itself blocks light completely, small amounts of light may still enter around the top, sides or bottom of the installed curtains. This depends on the installation method, curtain fullness, rod placement and distance between the curtain and the wall.

The blackout lining is attached behind the embroidered linen and is not visible from the front during normal use.

AVAILABLE HEADING STYLES

Please choose one of the following four heading styles and enter it in the order details email:

1. HOOKS TOP

Hooks top is compatible with both curtain rods and curtain tracks.

For a rod installation, the hooks can be attached to suitable curtain rings.

For a track installation, the hooks connect to compatible track gliders or carriers.

This is a versatile heading style that creates adjustable gathered folds. It is particularly suitable for homes with existing wall-mounted or ceiling-mounted curtain tracks.

2. BACK TABS

Back tabs are fabric loops sewn discreetly onto the reverse side of the curtain heading.

The curtain rod slides through the concealed tabs, allowing the curtain to hang in soft, regular folds while keeping the tabs hidden from the front.

Back tabs provide a clean, tailored appearance with minimal visible hardware.

This heading is intended for curtain rods and is not normally suitable for curtain tracks.

3. ROD POCKET

A fabric channel is sewn across the top of the curtain, allowing the rod to pass directly through the heading.

Rod-pocket curtains create a softly gathered and relaxed appearance. They work especially well in bedrooms, guest rooms, cottage interiors and decorative spaces where the curtains are not opened and closed continuously.

Please ensure that the diameter of your curtain rod is appropriate for the rod pocket.

4. GROMMETS

Metal grommets or eyelets are installed across the top of the curtain.

The curtain rod passes directly through the grommet openings, creating broad and evenly spaced waves.

Grommet curtains are easy to slide along a rod and provide a clean, contemporary appearance.

Grommets are suitable for curtain rods but are not compatible with standard curtain tracks.

PERSONALIZATION INFORMATION REQUIRED

Please enter the following information in the order details email:

Heading style: Hooks top, back tabs, rod pocket or grommets

Liner choice: Unlined, organic cotton light filtering or 100% blackout

Exact custom finished measurements, when applicable

Any other essential customization details

Personalization example for a standard-size order:

“Back tabs with organic cotton light-filtering liner.”

Personalization example for a custom-size order:

“Finished size required per curtain: 48 inches wide × 89 inches high. Pair of two curtains. Hooks top with blackout liner.”

Please double-check all measurements and selections before completing the order.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE CORRECT CURTAIN WIDTH

Curtain width affects how full and gathered the curtains will look once installed.

The curtain width shown in the listing is the flat fabric width of each individual panel. It is not the width after gathering.

For a lightly gathered appearance, the combined flat width of the curtains can be approximately 1.5 times the width of the rod or track.

For a fuller and more luxurious appearance, the combined flat curtain width can be approximately twice the width of the rod or track.

Example for an 80-inch-wide rod:

A pair of 50-inch-wide curtains provides a combined flat width of approximately 100 inches. This will create a lighter gathered appearance.

A pair of 100-inch-wide curtains provides a combined flat width of approximately 200 inches. This will create a much fuller, denser appearance.

The amount of fullness required also depends on the selected heading style and personal preference.

HOW TO MEASURE THE CURTAIN HEIGHT

Measure only after the rod or track has been installed whenever possible.

For hooks top:

Measure from the point where the curtain hook will hang to the desired finished bottom position.

For back tabs:

Measure from the top of the curtain rod to the desired finished bottom position.

For rod pocket:

Measure from the top of the curtain rod to the desired finished bottom position. Consider whether you want any decorative fabric to extend above the rod.

For grommets:

Measure from the top edge of the curtain rod to the desired finished bottom position. A small portion of fabric will normally extend above the grommets and rod.

The curtains can be made to finish:

At the windowsill

Just below the windowsill

Below the window trim

Slightly above the floor

At floor level

With a gentle floor break

With a longer decorative puddle

For a clean floor-length installation, measure in several positions because rods, ceilings and floors may not be perfectly level.

CUSTOM CAFE CURTAINS

We can also make custom cafe curtains, kitchen curtains, tier curtains and short window panels from this embroidered white and taupe linen.

Cafe curtains generally cover the lower portion of the window while leaving the upper section open to natural light.

They are suitable for:

Kitchen windows

Breakfast nooks

Bathroom windows

Utility rooms

Pantry windows

Small dining areas

Cottage interiors

Farmhouse interiors

Half windows

Cabinet openings

Glass doors

To order cafe curtains, select the next available listing size above your required measurements and enter the exact finished width and height in the order details email.

Cafe curtains can be made with hooks top, back tabs, rod pockets or grommets, depending on the finished dimensions and installation method.

PATTERN PLACEMENT

The palm-frond embroidery is arranged in a repeating pattern across the linen.

The exact position of individual large and small leaves will vary according to:

Curtain width

Curtain height

Cutting position

Pattern repeat

Heading construction

Whether a joining seam is required

Two curtains from the same order will be cut and arranged to create a coordinated and visually balanced pair. However, the panels may not be perfect mirror images unless this has been specifically agreed before production.

For 100-inch-wide curtains, the embroidery will be matched across the central joining seam as closely as the repeat permits.

COLOUR VARIATIONS

The fabric has a soft white base with warm taupe-gray embroidery.

The colour may look slightly different depending on:

Natural or artificial lighting

Warm or cool room bulbs

Phone and computer display settings

Screen brightness

Camera exposure

Surrounding wall colours

Time of day

The embroidery may appear more gray in cool daylight and slightly warmer or more mushroom-toned under warm indoor lighting.

A fabric sample is recommended before placing a large or highly customized order when an exact colour match is important.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Professional dry cleaning is the safest recommended cleaning method for these embroidered linen curtains.

Avoid bleach, harsh detergents and strong stain-removal chemicals.

Do not scrub or rub the embroidered areas aggressively.

Avoid high-temperature machine washing and tumble drying because heat and agitation may affect the linen, embroidery, liner or finished dimensions.

Light creasing may occur when the curtains are folded for packaging and international delivery. These creases normally relax gradually after hanging.

A handheld steamer may be used carefully at a low or moderate temperature. Steam from the reverse side whenever possible and avoid holding the steamer directly against the embroidered threadwork.

When ironing is necessary, use a low linen-safe temperature and place a protective pressing cloth between the iron and the embroidery.

WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE

Depending on the option selected, your order will include either:

One custom embroidered linen curtain panel

Or

One pair/set of two custom embroidered linen curtain panels

The curtains will be made in the selected or personalized finished size, heading style and lining option.

Curtain rods, rings, tracks, hooks, gliders and decorative accessories are not included unless they are specifically stated as included with the order.

WHY THIS DESIGN WORKS

The soft white linen background keeps the curtains fresh and light, while the warm taupe-gray palm-leaf embroidery adds visual interest without introducing a strong or difficult-to-coordinate colour.

The spacious botanical repeat prevents the pattern from appearing crowded. The fine linear embroidery feels more refined and textural than a conventional printed palm-leaf design.

These curtains can function as a neutral window treatment while still offering a distinctive decorative feature. They are especially suited to customers looking for embroidered curtains, neutral linen curtains, botanical drapes, custom curtain panels, modern farmhouse curtains or understated palm-leaf window treatments.
