The fabric has a warm stone-gray to greige ground with subtle taupe undertones, overlaid with large ivory and creamy off-white damask medallions. The pattern is woven into the fabric as a jacquard rather than simply printed on the surface, giving the design visible depth, texture and a softly antiqued character.

COLOR & PATTERN

The dominant background colour is a sophisticated warm gray to soft greige.

Depending on the surrounding light and furnishings, the ground may read as:

It is not a cold blue-gray or dark charcoal. The underlying warmth gives the fabric a softer, more versatile neutral appearance.

Against this gray-greige ground are oversized ornamental damask medallions woven primarily in:

• Pale warm off-white
• Very light neutral beige

The contrast is noticeable but intentionally muted rather than stark.

The large medallions are arranged in a repeating staggered layout across the fabric. Each motif contains elaborate symmetrical scrollwork, stylised floral details, curved ornamental forms and smaller decorative elements positioned between the principal medallions.

The medallions have a softly weathered or distressed appearance rather than sharp solid edges. Fine areas of the gray ground show through portions of the ivory design, creating the look of an antique woven textile.

The combined flat fabric width should not be confused with the width the curtains will cover once they are gathered into folds.

For a fuller appearance, allow sufficient additional curtain width relative to your window or curtain rod.

THREE LINING OPTIONS

Choose the amount of privacy and light control that works best for your room.

1. UNLINED — SEMI-SHEER PRIVACY CURTAINS

The curtains can be made without any additional liner.

Although the linen jacquard is thick and substantial, the unlined fabric still allows some light to travel through it when strongly backlit.

The unlined option therefore gives you:

• Soft filtered daylight
• Semi-sheer privacy
• Natural linen character
• A lighter visual appearance
• The face fabric in its most natural form

During normal daylight the substantial woven fabric offers useful privacy, but an unlined curtain should not be considered completely opaque.

When a room is brightly illuminated at night, silhouettes may be perceptible from outside depending on the lighting conditions.

Choose the unlined option when you prefer softly filtered natural light rather than complete opacity.

2. ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER

Add an organic cotton liner when you want greater privacy and a completely opaque curtain while still allowing softened daylight into the room.

The organic cotton liner:

• Makes the curtain completely opaque
• Prevents a direct view through the curtain
• Provides additional privacy
• Softly filters incoming daylight
• Adds body and structure to the finished curtain
• Keeps the room brighter than a blackout liner

This is an excellent option for living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and street-facing windows where privacy is important but complete darkness is unnecessary.

The cotton liner is positioned behind the decorative jacquard fabric and does not change the gray-and-ivory appearance from the front.

3. OEKO-TEX CERTIFIED 100% BLACKOUT POLYCOTTON LINER

Choose the blackout option when maximum light control is required.

The OEKO-TEX certified polycotton blackout liner blocks light completely through the lined curtain fabric and makes the curtain fully opaque.

This option is particularly useful for:

• Daytime sleeping
• Nursery windows
• Brightly exposed windows
• Media rooms
• Street-facing rooms
• Rooms where maximum privacy is preferred

The blackout liner remains concealed behind the decorative linen jacquard face.

IMPORTANT BLACKOUT NOTE

The blackout liner prevents light from travelling through the curtain fabric itself.

Complete room darkness also depends on the way the curtains are installed. Light can still enter around the sides, above the curtain rod or underneath the hem if installation leaves gaps around the window.

100-INCH-WIDE CURTAIN CONSTRUCTION

A finished 100-inch-wide curtain is made by joining two approximately 50-inch-wide fabric sections.

This creates one vertical joining seam in the finished curtain.

The seam is professionally sewn and becomes barely noticeable after the curtain has been installed, gathered and arranged into its natural folds.

If you purchase a PAIR of 100-inch-wide curtains, both finished curtain panels will contain their own joining seam.

FOUR CURTAIN HEADING STYLES

Four different heading options are available so you can choose a hanging style that suits your existing hardware and interior.

1. HOOKS TOP

The Hooks Top heading is suitable for both:

• Curtain rods
• Curtain tracks

The curtain is made with a suitable heading arrangement for curtain hooks.

For a curtain rod, the hooks can attach to appropriate curtain rings.

For a curtain track, they can attach to compatible track gliders or carriers.

This is a particularly versatile option when you want the curtains to work with either conventional curtain rods or track systems.

2. BACK TABS

Fabric tabs are sewn onto the reverse of the curtain heading.

The curtain rod passes through these concealed tabs, leaving very little hanging hardware visible from the front.

Back tabs create:

• Clean vertical folds
• A tailored appearance
• A simple uncluttered heading
• Regular gathered waves across the curtain

3. ROD POCKET

A sewn channel is created across the top of the curtain and the curtain rod passes directly through this pocket.

Rod-pocket curtains create a softly gathered traditional appearance and work particularly well when the curtains do not need to be opened and closed very frequently.

4. GROMMETS

Metal grommets / eyelets are fitted across the upper edge of the curtain.

The curtain rod passes directly through the grommets, naturally forming regular vertical folds.

Grommet curtains are particularly easy to install and provide a clean, structured heading.
