Terracotta Rust & Beige Pure Linen Curtains, Printed Herringbone Plaid Farmhouse Drapes, Custom Blackout or Light Filtering Panels
TERRACOTTA RUST & NATURAL BEIGE PURE LINEN CURTAINS – PRINTED HERRINGBONE PLAID FARMHOUSE DRAPES
Bring warmth, natural texture and relaxed farmhouse character to your windows with these custom-made thick and heavy pure linen curtains.
The fabric combines an earthy terracotta and rust color palette with an unusual oversized plaid-stripe pattern. Broad and narrow vertical bands intersect with softly irregular horizontal sections, creating a broken windowpane check rather than a perfectly uniform traditional plaid.
Inside many of the printed bands are delicate herringbone-style chevrons and zigzag markings. These fine details give the design additional visual texture while allowing the natural linen surface to remain visible.
The overall effect is warm, softly weathered and sophisticated—equally suitable for modern farmhouse, rustic, cottage, bohemian, Southwestern, organic-modern, Mediterranean, transitional and relaxed contemporary interiors.
DETAILED COLOR DESCRIPTION
The dominant background is a warm natural linen shade that sits between:
• Natural ivory
• Undyed flax
• Light oatmeal
• Warm cream
• Pale beige
• Soft ecru
The principal pattern colors include:
• Dusty terracotta
• Muted rust
• Clay pink
• Faded brick
• Earthy rose
• Soft cinnamon
• Warm taupe
• Pale camel beige
The terracotta is muted rather than bright orange. It has dusty rose, clay and faded brick undertones, giving the curtains a warm and established appearance rather than a vivid or highly saturated look.
From across the room, the strongest color impression is:
NATURAL IVORY + TERRACOTTA RUST + WARM BEIGE
Viewed more closely, the fabric reveals supporting shades of dusty rose, clay pink, pale oatmeal, soft taupe and warm flax.
DETAILED PATTERN DESCRIPTION
The printed design is best described as an artistic combination of:
• Oversized plaid
• Broken windowpane check
• Irregular farmhouse stripe
• Herringbone stripe
• Textured geometric check
• Rustic linear pattern
Wide terracotta vertical bands are accompanied by narrower parallel stripes and softly uneven ivory lines. These meet horizontal terracotta and beige bands to form large, loosely defined rectangular sections.
Within several of the bands are small repeated herringbone or chevron-style marks. Other areas are softer and more solid, allowing the pattern to alternate between bold architectural stripes and finer decorative detail.
This is not a conventional two-color buffalo check, small gingham check or regular ticking stripe. It is a larger, more artistic plaid-stripe design with deliberately varied line widths and softly organic edges.
Please note that the design is PRINTED onto the pure linen. It is not embroidered, raised, tufted or woven as a traditional yarn-dyed plaid. The herringbone appearance is part of the printed artwork.
PURE LINEN FABRIC
• Face fabric: Pure linen
• Fabric character: Thick, heavy and substantial
• Surface: Naturally textured with visible linen fibers and subtle slubs
• Design method: Printed
• Supplied weight: 403 grams per linear meter on 54-inch-wide fabric
• Converted fabric weight: Approximately 294 GSM
The GSM conversion is based on a 54-inch fabric width:
54 inches = 1.3716 meters
403 grams ÷ 1.3716 square meters = approximately 293.8 GSM
The face fabric is therefore listed as approximately 294 GSM.
This substantial linen has more body and visual weight than lightweight linen voile. It forms elegant folds and gives the finished curtains a rich, grounded drape while retaining the relaxed, organic appearance associated with natural linen.
Natural linen may contain small slubs, knots, fibers, slight yarn variations and subtle irregularities in the woven surface. These are normal characteristics of genuine linen and are not considered faults.
SINGLE PANEL OR PAIR OF CURTAINS
These curtains may be ordered as:
• One single curtain panel
• One pair or set of two curtain panels
All sizes shown refer to the finished dimensions of ONE INDIVIDUAL PANEL unless the selected option specifically states that it includes a pair or set of two.
For example:
• One 50 × 96-inch panel means one individual curtain measuring 50 inches wide and 96 inches long
• A pair of 50 × 96-inch panels means two individual curtains, each measuring 50 inches wide and 96 inches long
Please check the selected quantity carefully before completing your order.
AVAILABLE WIDTHS
Each curtain panel is available in two standard widths:
• 50 inches wide — approximately 127 cm
• 100 inches wide — approximately 254 cm
The stated width is the flat finished width of one curtain panel before it is gathered onto the rod or track.
IMPORTANT 100-INCH WIDTH CONSTRUCTION
The face fabric is approximately 50 inches wide. Every 100-inch-wide curtain panel will therefore be made by professionally joining two 50-inch fabric widths.
This construction creates one vertical joining seam near the middle of the finished 100-inch panel.
We will align the printed pattern as carefully as the fabric design permits. Once the curtain is installed and arranged into natural folds, the middle seam is generally barely visible.
Please order the 100-inch-wide option only if you accept this necessary central joining seam.
AVAILABLE LENGTHS
Standard finished curtain heights are available from 36 inches to 180 inches in increments of 12 inches:
• 36 inches
• 48 inches
• 60 inches
• 72 inches
• 84 inches
• 96 inches
• 108 inches
• 120 inches
• 132 inches
• 144 inches
• 156 inches
• 168 inches
• 180 inches
The extensive length range makes these curtains suitable for:
• Small windows
• Standard windows
• Floor-length curtains
• Patio and French doors
• Tall windows
• Extra-long curtains
• High ceilings
• Double-height rooms
• Dramatic floor-to-ceiling installations
CUSTOM CURTAIN SIZES
Custom widths and lengths are welcome.
If your exact required size is not available in the menu, please select the next listed size UP from the dimensions you require. Write your exact finished measurements in the order details email.
Example:
If you need one curtain measuring 50 inches wide × 90 inches long, select the 50 × 96-inch option and write:
“Finished size required: 50 inches wide × 90 inches long.”
Please do not select a standard size smaller than the curtain you require.
For customized widths wider than 50 inches, additional fabric joins may be necessary depending on the final dimensions. We will position such joins as discreetly as reasonably possible.
FOUR CURTAIN HEADING OPTIONS
Choose from four heading styles:
1. HOOKS TOP
The curtain is supplied with a hooks-compatible top suitable for hanging from curtain rings on a rod or from carriers on a curtain track.
This versatile style is compatible with both curtain rods and curtain tracks when suitable rings or track carriers are used. It creates a neat, tailored appearance and works especially well for large windows, bay-window tracks and frequently operated curtains.
2. BACK TABS
Hidden fabric tabs are sewn onto the back of the curtain header. The rod passes through these concealed tabs, producing soft, evenly spaced folds without visible rings or grommets on the front.
Back tabs create a clean, relaxed appearance suitable for farmhouse, organic-modern and contemporary rooms.
3. ROD POCKET
A fabric channel is sewn across the top of the curtain, allowing the rod to pass directly through the pocket.
This style creates a softly gathered, casual finish that works beautifully in farmhouse bedrooms, cottage living rooms, kitchens and relaxed interiors.
4. GROMMETS
Metal eyelets are fitted into the curtain header, allowing the rod to pass directly through them.
Grommet curtains create structured, evenly spaced folds and are easy to open and close. Please contact us before ordering if a particular grommet color or finish is essential to your room.
LINING OPTIONS
Choose one of three finishing options:
1. UNLINED – SEMI-SHEER PRIVACY CURTAIN
The unlined pure linen softly filters natural daylight and displays the fabric’s texture most clearly.
Because linen is woven from natural yarns, the unlined curtain is semi-sheer. It provides a degree of daytime privacy while maintaining a light and airy appearance.
Strong daylight may pass through the fabric, and silhouettes may be visible when the room is illuminated at night. Unlined linen should therefore not be relied upon for complete nighttime privacy.
Choose unlined curtains if you prefer:
• Maximum natural linen character
• Softly filtered daylight
• A relaxed and airy appearance
• Semi-sheer daytime privacy
• Lighter, more fluid folds
2. ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER
The organic cotton liner adds body, privacy and opacity while retaining softly diffused natural light.
With this lining, the finished curtain becomes completely opaque under normal household conditions. It is suitable for rooms where greater privacy is needed without making the room completely dark.
Choose the organic cotton liner for:
• Living rooms
• Dining rooms
• Family rooms
• Home offices
• Guest bedrooms
• Nurseries where gentle daylight is preferred
• Street-facing windows requiring greater privacy
Please note that the organic cotton liner is light filtering, not blackout. Daylight will still create a soft glow through the curtain.
3. 100% BLACKOUT OEKO-TEX CERTIFIED POLYCOTTON LINER
The blackout-grade polycotton liner is OEKO-TEX certified and designed to block light completely through the lined curtain fabric.
Choose this option when you require maximum room darkening or complete darkness for:
• Primary bedrooms
• Children’s bedrooms
• Nurseries
• Media rooms
• Home cinemas
• Night-shift sleeping spaces
• Rooms affected by strong morning sun
• Windows facing streetlights
The blackout liner blocks light through the body of the curtain. As with all blackout window treatments, a small amount of light can enter around the top, sides or bottom if the installation leaves gaps.
For the darkest result, allow the curtains to extend sufficiently above and beyond the window frame and use generous combined curtain width.

MEASURING AND FULLNESS GUIDANCE
The selected curtain width is the flat finished width of each individual panel before gathering.
For an attractive gathered appearance, the combined flat width of your curtains should generally be greater than the width of the rod or track being covered.
Approximately 1.5 to 2 times the rod or track width is commonly used, depending on:
• The chosen heading style
• The desired amount of fullness
• Whether the curtains are decorative or functional
• The amount of space available beside the window
Example:
For a rod measuring 80 inches wide, a pair of 50-inch-wide panels provides a combined flat width of 100 inches. This gives approximately 1.25 times fullness and a relatively relaxed appearance.
For deeper, more luxurious folds, additional combined width may be preferable.
Measure curtain length from the correct hanging point for the selected heading style to the desired finishing position.
Possible finishing positions include:
• At the window sill
• Below the window sill
• Just above the floor
• Touching the floor
• With a slight floor break
• Puddled onto the floor
If you are unsure which size to order, please contact us with your rod or track width, required drop, desired heading style and preferred fullness before purchasing.
PATTERN PLACEMENT
Pattern placement will vary according to the selected curtain dimensions and the section of fabric used.
When a pair is ordered together, we will coordinate the two panels as carefully as reasonably possible. However, exact mirror-image pattern placement cannot be guaranteed.
On 100-inch-wide curtains, the pattern will be matched across the central joining seam as closely as the fabric repeat permits.
The intentionally irregular lines and softly varied stripe widths help the joining seam blend naturally into the finished folds.
COLOR AND SCREEN DISCLAIMER
The swatch appears as a warm combination of natural ivory, flax beige, oatmeal, dusty terracotta, muted rust, clay pink and faded brick.
The exact appearance may change according to:
• Natural daylight
• Warm or cool indoor lighting
• Surrounding wall colors
• Screen brightness
• Device display settings
• Camera exposure
• Individual color perception
If an exact color match is essential, we strongly recommend ordering a physical fabric swatch before purchasing the finished curtains.
