A) INSIDE RECESS (inside mount)

1. Measure the exact recess width at the top. Do not make any deductions

4. Confirm recess depth is sufficient and check for obstructions like handles or trim.

B) OUTSIDE RECESS (outside mount)

1. Measure the width of the area you want to cover.
2. For better light control and privacy, add extra coverage beyond the window frame (commonly 2–4 in / 5–10 cm each side, if space allows).
3. Measure the drop from where the headrail will be mounted to your desired finish point.
