Taupe Linen Roman Shade, Beige Diamond Ogee Trellis Embroidered Custom Blind, Blackout or Light Filtering
Custom taupe and beige embroidered linen Roman shade, individually made to your exact window measurements from thick, heavy luxury pure linen.
This elegant corded Roman blind features a large geometric diamond and ogee trellis pattern embroidered across a softly textured pale ivory-beige linen background. The raised embroidery is worked in a muted mushroom beige with taupe, khaki and subtle olive-beige undertones, creating a refined neutral window treatment with visible texture and understated contrast.
Choose between an organic cotton light-filtering liner for softly diffused natural daylight or a 100% blackout OEKO-TEX certified non-toxic polycotton liner for maximum darkness, privacy and light control.
The pure linen face fabric is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified and has a substantial, luxurious weight with the natural woven texture and visual depth associated with genuine linen. The geometric embroidery gives the shade a tailored designer appearance while remaining versatile enough for modern, transitional, organic modern, contemporary farmhouse, Scandinavian and quietly luxurious interiors.
Each Roman shade is individually produced according to the exact finished width and height entered in the Etsy order details email.

DETAILED COLOR DESCRIPTION
The linen background is a very light natural neutral positioned between pale ivory, light beige and soft greige.
It is not a bright optical white, strongly yellow cream or medium brown natural linen. The base contains subtle ivory, pale oatmeal, light flax and faint stone-gray undertones.
The visible crosswoven linen texture produces gentle tonal variation throughout the surface. Individual lighter and slightly deeper threads can be seen within the weave, giving the background a natural and softly textured appearance rather than a flat manufactured finish.
Under bright natural daylight, the fabric may appear closer to pale ivory or soft linen white. Under warmer indoor lighting, its beige, oatmeal and flax undertones may become more noticeable.
The embroidery is a muted mushroom beige with warm taupe, light khaki, putty and very subtle olive-beige undertones. It is deeper than the linen background but remains soft and neutral rather than dark brown, green or gold.
The stitched lines have slightly varied highlights and shadows because of their raised construction. From a distance, the embroidery appears like a clean beige geometric outline. At close range, its tactile looped texture becomes more noticeable.
The overall combination is tonal, calm and sophisticated. It coordinates easily with:
Warm-white walls
Ivory and cream upholstery
Beige or greige walls
Natural oak furniture
White oak and ash wood
Walnut furniture
Black metal accents
Antique brass lighting
Brushed nickel hardware
Taupe bedding and cushions
Oatmeal upholstery
Natural stone
Travertine and marble
Rattan and woven baskets
Jute and wool rugs
Neutral ceramics
Muted olive accessories
DETAILED PATTERN DESCRIPTION
The fabric features a large-scale embroidered geometric trellis composed of interlocking diamond and ogee shapes.
The principal motifs resemble softly rounded diamonds with pointed upper and lower ends. They can also be interpreted as repeating ogee arches, Moroccan lantern shapes or elongated geometric medallions.
Each diamond connects to the motifs above, below and beside it, producing a continuous lattice across the fabric.
The embroidered outlines are made with small, closely spaced looped stitches. This creates a textured cord-like or braided appearance rather than a completely smooth satin-stitched line.
At the meeting point of each set of geometric shapes is a small vertically wrapped rectangular connector. These compact embroidered junctions divide and anchor the repeating lattice, giving the pattern a precise tailored finish.
The design may accurately be described using the following pattern terms:
Diamond trellis
Ogee lattice
Moroccan-inspired trellis
Geometric embroidery
Interlocking diamonds
Lantern lattice
Arabesque-inspired pattern
Rounded diamond repeat
Pointed oval trellis
Neutral geometric window treatment
The pattern is regular, balanced and symmetrical, making it suitable for both narrow and wide Roman shades.
Because each blind is made to custom dimensions, the number of complete motifs visible will depend on the exact finished width and height. Some shades may begin or end with partial geometric shapes along the edges.
Pattern placement will be arranged carefully, but an identical motif position cannot be guaranteed for every size because each shade is cut from a continuous fabric repeat.
WHY CHOOSE THIS CUSTOM ROMAN SHADE
This made-to-measure Roman blind combines practical window coverage with the richness of heavy pure linen and the clean visual appeal of embroidered geometric fabric.
The substantial linen gives the Roman shade body, structure and a tailored designer-quality appearance.
The beige diamond embroidery provides visible pattern and texture without introducing bright colors or an overly decorative floral motif. This makes the shade suitable for customers who prefer an understated neutral window treatment with more character than a plain linen blind.
When fully lowered, the Roman shade displays the repeating diamond and ogee trellis across the window.
When raised, the fabric forms structured horizontal Roman folds near the lower portion of the shade. The raised embroidery remains visible across the folds and creates gentle natural changes in light and shadow.

LINER OPTIONS
The required liner choice must be entered in the Etsy order details email together with the exact measurements and installation method.
OPTION 1: ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER
The organic cotton light-filtering liner gently softens incoming daylight while allowing a comfortable natural glow to remain in the room.
It adds body and structure to the heavy embroidered linen, improves privacy and gives the reverse side of the Roman shade a clean, finished appearance.
The organic cotton light-filtering liner is recommended for:
Living rooms
Dining rooms
Kitchens
Breakfast nooks
Home offices
Guest bedrooms
Reading corners
Dressing rooms
Hallways
Bathrooms where complete darkness is not required
Light filtering does not mean blackout. Natural light will continue to pass softly through the lined Roman blind.
The exact light-filtering effect will vary according to the direction of the window, strength of sunlight, time of day and surrounding room lighting.
The pale linen background may appear brighter when strong daylight passes through it. The visibility and contrast of the embroidered pattern can also change according to the direction and intensity of the light.
OPTION 2: 100% BLACKOUT OEKO-TEX CERTIFIED LINER
The blackout option uses a non-toxic OEKO-TEX certified polycotton liner made from 50% cotton and 50% polyester.
This liner is designed to prevent light from passing through the face fabric and is recommended for rooms requiring maximum darkness, increased privacy and stronger light control.
The 100% blackout liner is especially suitable for:
Primary bedrooms
Guest bedrooms
Nurseries
Children’s rooms
Media rooms
Home theaters
Street-facing windows
Rooms receiving strong morning sunlight
Rooms requiring increased nighttime privacy
The blackout liner blocks light through the fabric itself.
A small amount of light may remain visible around the outside edges of an inside-mounted Roman shade because fitting clearance is necessary for smooth movement within the recess.
For the darkest possible result, choose an outside-recess installation with sufficient overlap around the top, bottom and both sides of the window opening.

HOW TO MEASURE FOR AN INSIDE-RECESS ROMAN SHADE
An inside-recess or inside-mount Roman shade is fitted within the window opening for a clean, streamlined and built-in appearance.
1. Use a rigid metal measuring tape rather than a flexible fabric tape.
2. Measure the exact recess width at the top. Do not make any deductions
3. Measure the exact recess width at the top. Do not make any deductions
4. Measure the exact recess height. Do not make any deductions
5. Measure the exact recess height. Do not make any deductions
6. Enter the exact recess width and height in the order details email.
7. Do not make your own width deduction. The necessary production allowance will be considered while making the Roman shade so it can operate smoothly within the recess.
8. Check that the recess has sufficient clear and flat space for the blind mechanism and mounting clamps.
9. Check for projecting window handles, locks, alarm sensors, tiles, molding, trim or other obstructions that could interfere with the shade.
10. Measure at the exact depth where the clamps and Roman-blind mechanism will be installed.
11. Measure every window separately, even when several windows appear identical.
12. Do not provide only the dimensions of an existing blind because those measurements may already include manufacturing deductions.
INSIDE-RECESS MEASURING EXAMPLE
Exact recess width at the top: 35.25 inches
Record this exact top width without deductions.
No middle or bottom width measurement is required.
Width to provide: 35.25 inches
Exact recess height: 64.50 inches
Record this exact recess height without deductions.
Do not make any deductions from the recess height.
Height to provide: 64.50 inches
HOW TO MEASURE FOR AN OUTSIDE-RECESS ROMAN SHADE
An outside-recess or outside-mount Roman shade is installed on the wall or window frame above and around the window opening.
This installation can provide greater privacy, improved edge coverage and a more prominent decorative appearance.
1. Measure the width of the uncovered window opening.
2. Decide how much the finished Roman shade should overlap on each side.
3. Where sufficient space is available, add approximately 2–3 inches or 5–7.5 cm to both the left and right sides.
4. The complete measurement, including the selected overlap, will be the finished Roman-shade width entered in the order details email.
5. Decide where the upper mounting clamps will be positioned.
6. Measure vertically from the planned top mounting position to the point where the bottom of the shade should finish.
7. Include the desired overlap above and below the window opening.
8. Enter the complete finished shade width and height rather than only the dimensions of the uncovered glass.
9. Check for projecting handles, vents, switches, molding, trim or other obstructions.
10. Confirm that sufficient flat surface is available for securely installing the mounting clamps.
11. No width deduction is normally applied to an outside-recess finished measurement.
For a blackout Roman shade, generous overlap around all four sides can help reduce the amount of light entering around the outside edges.
OUTSIDE-RECESS MEASURING EXAMPLE
Window-opening width: 34 inches
Left-side overlap: 2.5 inches
Right-side overlap: 2.5 inches
Finished Roman-shade width to provide: 39 inches
Measure the finished height from the planned upper mounting position to the exact point where the bottom of the shade should finish.
INSTALLATION HARDWARE
Mounting clamps and screws are included with the Roman shade.
Inside-recess and outside-recess installations require different mounting clamps.
Please clearly state the intended installation method in the order details email so that the correct clamps can be supplied.
Inside-recess clamps are intended for fitting the Roman blind within the window opening.
Outside-recess clamps are intended for fitting the Roman blind to the wall or window frame outside the opening.
The suitability of the supplied screws will depend on the material and condition of the installation surface.
Suitable wall plugs, anchors or specialist fixings may be required for plasterboard, tile, concrete, masonry, hollow walls or other surfaces.
Professional installation is recommended whenever the mounting surface or fitting method is uncertain.
IMPORTANT NATURAL LINEN INFORMATION
Pure linen naturally contains slubs, small yarn variations and subtle differences in weave density. These are normal characteristics of genuine linen and are not considered defects.
Minor color variations may occur in the pale ivory-beige linen background and mushroom-beige embroidery between separate fabric batches.
The exact position of the geometric trellis will vary according to the custom measurements and the section of fabric used.
The pattern may be partially cropped along the sides, top or bottom of the completed Roman shade according to its finished dimensions.
The raised looped embroidery may create gentle natural variation in the surface and folds of the blind.
Actual colors may vary slightly because of photography, screen calibration, natural daylight, artificial lighting and surrounding room décor.
Please review every measurement carefully before ordering because each Roman shade is individually made according to the information supplied.
