Taupe Gray & Natural Beige Pure Linen Curtains, Printed Herringbone Plaid Farmhouse Drapes, Custom Blackout or Light Filtering Panels
TAUPE GRAY & NATURAL BEIGE PURE LINEN CURTAINS – PRINTED HERRINGBONE PLAID FARMHOUSE DRAPES
Bring soft neutral color, substantial natural texture and understated farmhouse character to your windows with these custom-made thick and heavy pure linen curtains.
The fabric features an artistic oversized plaid-stripe design in warm taupe gray, greige, oatmeal beige, natural ivory and soft flax tones.
Broad and narrow vertical bands intersect with irregular horizontal sections to create a relaxed broken windowpane pattern. Many of the bands contain delicate herringbone-style chevrons, giving the fabric much more visual detail than a conventional striped or checked curtain.
From across the room, the design reads as a sophisticated taupe and beige farmhouse plaid. Viewed more closely, it reveals fine zigzag markings, softly irregular lines, natural linen fibers and subtle variations in the widths of the printed bands.
The neutral palette makes these curtains particularly versatile for modern farmhouse, organic-modern, French country, cottage, rustic, Scandinavian, Japandi-inspired, minimalist, transitional and relaxed contemporary interiors.
DETAILED COLOR DESCRIPTION
The darkest sections are a muted warm taupe gray.
Depending on the surrounding light, this color may appear as:
• Warm taupe
• Mushroom gray
• Greige
• Stone gray
• Weathered beige-gray
• Soft mocha taupe
• Pale driftwood brown
The color is warmer than a conventional cool gray but softer and less brown than chocolate or cocoa.
It should not be described as green. Any slight khaki appearance visible under warm artificial lighting comes from the combination of taupe, beige and natural linen rather than an actual green color.
The lighter areas include:
• Natural oatmeal
• Warm ivory
• Flax beige
• Soft ecru
• Pale sand
• Light camel beige
• Creamy natural linen
Some rectangular sections appear closer to warm ivory, while others have a pale taupe or oatmeal cast. These subtle neutral changes give the print depth and prevent it from looking like a flat two-color pattern.
The strongest overall color impression is:
WARM TAUPE GRAY + NATURAL BEIGE + OATMEAL IVORY
with softer supporting tones of:
GREIGE + MUSHROOM + FLAX + PALE CAMEL + ECRU
DETAILED PATTERN DESCRIPTION
The pattern is best described as a combination of:
• Oversized plaid
• Broken windowpane check
• Herringbone stripe
• Irregular farmhouse stripe
• Textured geometric check
• Neutral abstract plaid
Wide taupe vertical bands form the principal structure of the design. Several are accompanied by narrow parallel stripes separated by slim ivory lines.
These vertical bands intersect with horizontal herringbone sections, creating large rectangular shapes across the fabric. Inside many of the horizontal sections are fine repeated V-shaped chevrons resembling a traditional herringbone weave.
Some areas are relatively plain and softly tonal, allowing the warm natural linen ground to balance the more detailed sections.
The pattern edges are intentionally soft and slightly irregular rather than perfectly sharp and mechanical. This creates an artisan-inspired appearance that complements the organic texture of pure linen.
This is not a conventional two-color buffalo check, small gingham pattern or regular ticking stripe. It is a larger and more distinctive herringbone plaid-stripe design.
Please note that the decorative pattern is PRINTED onto the pure linen. It is not embroidered, tufted, appliquéd or raised. The herringbone appearance is part of the printed artwork.
PURE LINEN FACE FABRIC
• Face fabric: Pure linen
• Fabric character: Thick, heavy and substantial
• Surface: Naturally textured with visible fibers and linen slubs
• Pattern technique: Printed
• Supplied fabric weight: 403 grams per linear meter
• Supplied fabric width: 54 inches
• Converted fabric weight: Approximately 294 GSM
The conversion is calculated as follows:
54 inches = 1.3716 meters
403 grams ÷ 1.3716 square meters = approximately 293.8 GSM
The pure linen face fabric is therefore listed as approximately 294 GSM.
This is a substantial linen rather than lightweight linen voile. It has enough body to create rich, elegant folds while retaining the softly relaxed movement and organic surface associated with genuine linen.
Natural linen can contain small slubs, knots, fibers, subtle yarn-thickness variations and minor irregularities in the woven surface. These are normal characteristics of genuine linen and should not be considered defects.
SINGLE CURTAIN OR PAIR OF CURTAINS
These curtains are available as:
• One single curtain panel
• One pair or set of two matching curtain panels
All sizes displayed refer to the finished measurements of ONE INDIVIDUAL CURTAIN PANEL unless the chosen option specifically states that it is a pair or set of two.
For example:
• Single 50 × 96 inches means one curtain measuring 50 inches wide × 96 inches long
• Pair 50 × 96 inches means two curtains, each measuring 50 inches wide × 96 inches long
Please check the selected quantity carefully before completing your purchase.
AVAILABLE WIDTHS
Each individual curtain panel is available in:
• 50 inches wide — approximately 127 cm
• 100 inches wide — approximately 254 cm
The stated width is the flat finished width of one individual panel before gathering or arranging it into folds.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR 100-INCH-WIDE PANELS
The pure linen face fabric is produced in approximately 50-inch usable widths. Every 100-inch-wide curtain panel must therefore be constructed by professionally joining two 50-inch fabric widths.
This creates one vertical joining seam near the middle of the finished curtain.
The pattern will be aligned across the seam as carefully as the fabric repeat permits. Once the curtain is installed and arranged into natural vertical folds, this central seam is generally barely visible.
Please order the 100-inch-wide option only if you accept this necessary construction detail.
AVAILABLE LENGTHS
Standard finished lengths are available from 36 inches to 180 inches in 12-inch increments:
• 36 inches
• 48 inches
• 60 inches
• 72 inches
• 84 inches
• 96 inches
• 108 inches
• 120 inches
• 132 inches
• 144 inches
• 156 inches
• 168 inches
• 180 inches
This extensive range includes short window curtains, standard floor-length panels and extra-long curtains for tall windows, French doors, high ceilings and double-height rooms.
CUSTOM CURTAIN SIZES
Custom widths and lengths are welcome.
If your exact required measurements are not listed, select the next available standard size UP from the dimensions you need. Enter the exact required finished width and finished length in the order details email.
Example:
If you need one curtain measuring 50 inches wide × 90 inches long, select the 50 × 96-inch option and write:
“Exact finished size required: 50 inches wide × 90 inches long.”
Please do not select a standard size smaller than the curtain you require.
If a custom width exceeds the usable fabric width, one or more discreet joins may be required. Please contact us before ordering if you need assistance selecting the correct option.
FOUR HEADING STYLES
Choose from four curtain-top styles:
1. HOOKS TOP
The hooks-compatible heading works with both curtain rods and curtain tracks.
For a rod, the hooks attach to suitable curtain rings. For a track, the hooks attach to compatible track carriers.
Hooks Top provides a neat, versatile appearance and is especially suitable for bay-window tracks, large windows and curtains that will be opened and closed frequently.
2. BACK TABS
Hidden fabric tabs are sewn onto the back of the curtain header. The rod passes through these concealed tabs, creating soft folds without visible rings or grommets on the front.
Back tabs provide a clean, relaxed finish that works especially well in farmhouse, organic-modern and minimalist rooms.
3. ROD POCKET
A sewn channel across the top allows the curtain rod to pass directly through the fabric.
Rod-pocket curtains create a softly gathered, casual appearance suitable for farmhouse bedrooms, cottage living rooms, kitchens and decorative windows.
4. GROMMETS
Metal eyelets are fitted across the curtain header, allowing the rod to pass directly through them.
Grommets create structured, evenly spaced folds and allow the curtain to move easily along the rod. Please contact us before ordering if a specific grommet color is essential.
LINING OPTIONS
Choose from three finishing options:
1. UNLINED – SEMI-SHEER PRIVACY CURTAIN
Unlined pure linen gently filters natural daylight and shows the linen texture and printed pattern most clearly.
The fabric provides a degree of daytime privacy but remains naturally semi-sheer. Shapes or silhouettes may be visible, particularly after dark when interior lights are switched on.
Choose unlined curtains if you prefer:
• Maximum natural linen character
• Softly filtered daylight
• Relaxed and lighter folds
• A semi-sheer appearance
• Moderate daytime privacy
Unlined curtains should not be considered completely private at night.
2. ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER
The organic cotton liner adds body, privacy and opacity while allowing softly diffused natural light into the room.
This lining makes the finished curtains completely opaque under normal household conditions. It is ideal when additional privacy is required without creating complete darkness.
Choose the organic cotton liner for:
• Living rooms
• Dining rooms
• Home offices
• Family rooms
• Guest rooms
• Nurseries requiring gentle daylight
• Street-facing windows
• Everyday daytime and nighttime privacy
The organic cotton option is light filtering rather than blackout. Daylight will still create a soft glow through the finished curtain.
3. 100% BLACKOUT OEKO-TEX CERTIFIED POLYCOTTON LINER
Choose the blackout liner when complete light blockage through the curtain fabric is required.
The blackout-grade liner is made from OEKO-TEX certified polycotton composed of 50% cotton and 50% polyester. It blocks light completely through the body of the lined curtain.
This option is especially suitable for:
• Primary bedrooms
• Children’s bedrooms
• Nurseries
• Media rooms
• Home cinemas
• Night-shift sleeping spaces
• Rooms facing streetlights
• Windows receiving strong morning sunlight
As with all blackout curtains, a small amount of light may enter around the top, bottom or sides if gaps remain between the curtain and the wall.
For the darkest result, allow the curtains to extend sufficiently above and beyond the window frame and order generous combined curtain width.

MEASURING AND FULLNESS GUIDANCE
The selected width is the flat finished width of each individual panel before gathering.
For an attractive gathered appearance, the combined flat width of the curtains should generally be greater than the width of the rod or track.
Approximately 1.5 to 2 times the rod or track width is commonly used, depending on the selected heading and desired fullness.
Example:
For an 80-inch-wide curtain rod, a pair of 50-inch-wide panels provides 100 inches of combined flat fabric width. This gives approximately 1.25 times fullness and a relatively relaxed appearance.
For deeper and more luxurious folds, greater combined width may be preferable.
Measure length from the correct hanging point for your selected heading to the desired finishing position.
Possible finishing positions include:
• At the window sill
• Below the sill
• Just above the floor
• Touching the floor
• With a slight floor break
• Puddled onto the floor
If you need assistance, send us your rod or track width, required drop, selected heading and desired fullness before ordering.
PATTERN PLACEMENT
The exact placement of the herringbone plaid will vary according to the selected panel size and the section of fabric used.
When a pair is ordered together, the two panels will be coordinated as closely as reasonably possible. Exact mirror-image placement cannot be guaranteed.
For 100-inch-wide panels, the print will be aligned across the central joining seam as carefully as the repeat permits.
COLOR DISCLAIMER
The photographed fabric appears as a combination of taupe gray, warm greige, mushroom beige, natural oatmeal, flax, ivory and pale camel.
The color may look slightly different according to:
• Natural daylight

• Surrounding wall colors

• Device calibration

We strongly recommend ordering a physical fabric swatch before purchasing if an exact color match is essential.
