Inside recess (inside mount)

Measure the exact inside recess width AT THE TOP.

Use your exact recess measurements without making any deductions.

Measure the exact inside recess height.

Enter that exact height.
Tip: Ensure your recess has enough depth to fit the headrail and shade stack.

Outside recess (outside mount)

Measure the width of the area you want to cover (usually window frame width plus extra for better light control).

Add 2–4 inches (5–10 cm) on each side if possible for improved privacy and light blockage.

Measure from where you will mount above the window down to where you want the shade to finish.
