HOW TO MEASURE — OUTSIDE RECESS / OUTSIDE MOUNT

An outside-recess Roman shade is installed over the window opening.

This provides greater coverage around the window and can help reduce edge light when blackout lining is selected.

STEP 1 — WIDTH

Measure the width of the window or window frame.

STEP 2 — ADD SIDE OVERLAP

Where sufficient wall space is available, add approximately:

2 inches / 5 cm on the LEFT

and

2 inches / 5 cm on the RIGHT.

OUTSIDE-MOUNT EXAMPLE
