LINING OPTIONS

Unlined

The unlined linen gently filters daylight and functions as a semi-sheer privacy curtain.

Natural light passing through the cloth highlights the woven linen texture and colorful raised embroidery. The fabric provides soft daytime privacy, but silhouettes may be visible from outside at night when the room lights are on.

Organic cotton light-filtering liner

The organic cotton liner makes the curtain completely opaque and provides considerably greater privacy while still allowing softly filtered natural light into the room.

It also adds structure, protects the back of the embroidery and gives the curtain a fuller, more substantial drape.

The organic cotton liner is light-filtering and opaque, but it is not a blackout liner.

100% blackout liner

The 100% blackout liner is an OEKO-TEX Standard 100-certified polycotton fabric made from 50% cotton and 50% polyester.

It blocks light passing through the covered curtain fabric, making it the most suitable option for daytime naps, early bedtimes, street-facing windows and light-sensitive sleepers.

For the darkest possible result, the curtain should extend above and beyond the window frame with generous overlap at the sides. Small amounts of light may still enter around the top, sides or bottom depending on the curtain rod, track and installation.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR 100-INCH-WIDE CURTAINS

A 100-inch-wide curtain is made by joining two 50-inch-wide fabric sections.

Each 100-inch-wide curtain will therefore have one vertical seam through the centre. This seam is a necessary part of constructing an extra-wide curtain from this fabric.

The centre seam becomes discreet and barely visible after the curtain is installed and arranged into folds. If you order a pair of 100-inch-wide curtains, each individual curtain will have its own centre seam.

HEADING STYLES

Hooks top

A professional woven heading tape is sewn across the reverse of the curtain.

Hooks top is compatible with curtain rods and curtain tracks. For a rod installation, the hooks attach to curtain rings. For a track installation, the hooks connect to compatible track gliders or runners.

Back tabs

Concealed fabric tabs are sewn onto the back of the curtain. The rod passes through these hidden tabs to create clean, softly structured folds while keeping the hanging system mostly out of sight.

Back tabs are suitable for curtain rods rather than tracks.

Rod pocket

A sewn channel across the top allows the curtain rod to pass directly through the fabric. This heading produces a simple gathered appearance and is suitable for curtain rods.

Grommets

Metal eyelets are installed across the top of the curtain, allowing the rod to pass directly through them. Grommets create clean and evenly spaced folds and are suitable for curtain rods rather than tracks.

MEASURING AND FULLNESS

The selected width is the finished flat fabric width before gathering. Additional fullness is not automatically added to your measurements.

For standard curtain fullness, the combined flat width of the curtains should generally be approximately 1.5 to 2 times the width of the rod or track.

For the exceptionally full appearance and deep, closely spaced folds shown in the styled listing images, choose a combined flat width approximately 2.5 to 3 times the rod or track width.

When ordering a pair, divide the required combined width between the two curtain panels.
