An inside-recess Roman shade is installed within the window opening for a neat, integrated appearance.

STEP 1 — WIDTH

Measure the exact internal recess width at the TOP where the Roman blind will be fitted.

Also check the middle and bottom of the recess to make sure that the opening does not become narrower.

STEP 2 — HEIGHT

Measure the exact internal height from the top of the recess to the required bottom position.

An outside-recess Roman shade is installed over the window opening rather than inside it.

This provides additional window coverage and can help reduce edge light with blackout lining.

STEP 1 — MEASURE WINDOW WIDTH

Measure the width of your window or window frame.

STEP 2 — ADD SIDE OVERLAP

Where sufficient wall space is available, add approximately:

2 inches / 5 cm on the LEFT

and

2 inches / 5 cm on the RIGHT.

This gives approximately:

of additional total width.
