Sage Mustard Brown Pure Linen Curtains, Moroccan Geometric Print, Custom Blackout or Light Filtering
Bring earthy colour, substantial natural linen texture and intricate Moroccan-inspired geometry to your windows with these custom-made thick and heavyweight pure linen printed curtains.
The fabric features a soft muted sage-grey / celadon green ground decorated with a highly detailed repeating geometric design in dark chocolate brown, warm camel tan, ochre beige and mustard gold.
The overall colour combination is:
SOFT SAGE GREEN / CELADON GREY-GREEN
+
DARK CHOCOLATE BROWN
+
WARM CAMEL / TAN
+
MUSTARD GOLD / OCHRE
The pattern is inspired by traditional Moroccan and Moorish tile geometry.
Repeating eight-point stars, star-shaped medallions, interlocking quatrefoil-cross forms and angular geometric outlines create a richly layered star-and-cross pattern across the entire textile.
The smaller mustard-gold stars alternate with larger camel-brown medallions, while dark brown outlines define the geometry and the muted sage-green ground creates the lighter connecting forms between them.
The result is decorative and distinctive without being overly bright.
The warm mustard, brown and camel shades give the fabric an earthy vintage character, while the soft green background keeps the overall palette calm and sophisticated.

DETAILED COLOUR DESCRIPTION
SOFT SAGE GREEN / CELADON GROUND
The lightest and most extensive colour in the textile is a muted grey-green.
Depending on lighting, it may appear as:
• Sage green
• Soft sage
• Celadon green
• Pale eucalyptus
• Grey green
• Muted seafoam
• Dusty mint-grey
• Pale olive-sage
The shade is subdued rather than bright.
It has enough grey in it to avoid looking like a vivid mint or grass green.
Under cooler daylight, the ground may appear slightly greyer and more celadon.
Under warmer interior lighting, it can appear softer, warmer and slightly more olive.
DARK CHOCOLATE-BROWN OUTLINES
The darkest colour forms the strong geometric framework around the star and cross motifs.
Depending on lighting, it may appear as:
• Dark chocolate brown
• Espresso brown
• Deep walnut
• Cocoa brown
• Dark umber
• Coffee brown
The colour is distinctly brown rather than black.
Its warmth is important because it ties the mustard, camel and sage shades together and gives the pattern a softer, more natural appearance than a black geometric outline would.
CAMEL / TAN GEOMETRIC MEDALLIONS
Many of the larger star-shaped motifs contain warm tan and brownish-gold fills.
These may appear as:
• Camel
• Warm tan
• Caramel
• Ochre brown
• Honey brown
• Tobacco tan
• Golden beige
• Burnished sand
These shades sit between the darker chocolate outline and brighter mustard accents.
They contribute strongly to the earthy, globally inspired appearance of the fabric.
MUSTARD-GOLD STAR ACCENTS
The brighter small star motifs are best described as:
• Mustard yellow
• Mustard gold
• Ochre yellow
• Antique gold
• Golden mustard
• Warm saffron
• Muted marigold
The shade is warm and slightly earthy rather than lemon yellow or bright sunshine yellow.
These mustard accents create focal points throughout the pattern without overwhelming the softer sage and brown background.
OVERALL COLOUR IMPRESSION
From across the room, the fabric reads primarily as:
SAGE GREEN + BROWN + MUSTARD.
At closer range, additional shades become visible:
CAMEL + TAN + OCHRE + CELADON + CHOCOLATE + NATURAL EARTH TONES.
This palette coordinates beautifully with:
• Warm white
• Cream
• Ivory
• Oatmeal
• Beige
• Greige
• Mushroom
• Camel
• Cognac
• Mustard
• Ochre
• Terracotta
• Rust
• Sage green
• Olive green
• Forest green
• Natural oak
• White oak
• Walnut
• Reclaimed timber
• Cognac leather
• Rattan
• Cane
• Jute
• Travertine
• Limestone
• Antique brass
• Aged bronze
• Matte black
MOROCCAN STAR-AND-CROSS GEOMETRIC PATTERN
The defining feature of the textile is its repeating ornamental geometry.
The design includes:
• Eight-point star motifs
• Layered star medallions
• Interlocking geometric crosses
• Quatrefoil-style connecting shapes
• Dark brown angular outlines
• Mustard-gold star centres
• Camel and tan medallions
• Repeating horizontal motif bands
• Continuous tile-inspired symmetry
The structure strongly resembles Moroccan zellige and Moorish architectural tilework.
The repeated stars and cross-like shapes fit together continuously, leaving very little unused background.
This creates a rich all-over pattern that remains visually balanced because the colour palette is muted and natural.
EIGHT-POINT STAR MOTIFS
The mustard motifs resemble small eight-point stars or geometric rosettes.
Eight-point star geometry appears widely in Moroccan, Moorish and Islamic decorative arts.
Here, these smaller golden stars repeat between larger camel-toned medallions.
The variation between mustard and camel stars creates movement across the textile rather than a perfectly repetitive single-colour pattern.
QUATREFOIL / CROSS CONNECTING FORMS
The sage-green ground forms larger cross-like or four-lobed connecting shapes between the darker star medallions.
These motifs can visually resemble:
• Quatrefoils
• Four-lobed crosses
• Stylised floral crosses
• Moroccan tile connectors
Although some of the shapes may appear slightly floral from a distance, the complete composition is fundamentally GEOMETRIC rather than botanical.
PRINTED PURE LINEN
The decorative pattern is PRINTED onto genuine pure linen.
This is not embroidery.
It is not appliqué.
It is not a raised jacquard pattern.
The colour is printed across the linen surface while allowing the natural weave to remain visible.
This creates:
• Visible linen texture
• Matte printed colour
• Natural yarn character
• Slight colour variation caused by the weave
• A tactile textile appearance
• Less synthetic-looking colour than a perfectly flat print
The individual colours therefore retain subtle variations when viewed closely.
This is particularly noticeable within the brown, camel and mustard shapes.
TEXTURED HAND-CRAFTED APPEARANCE
Because the natural linen weave remains visible through the print, the pattern has a softly weathered, textile-rich appearance.
It can evoke:
• Hand-block printed fabric
• Moroccan woven textiles
• Antique tile patterns
• Vintage geometric cloth
• Global artisan textiles
• Bohemian upholstery fabrics
The design is printed, but the natural linen prevents it from looking glossy or digitally flat.
PURE HEAVYWEIGHT LINEN — APPROXIMATELY 294 GSM
The decorative face fabric is PURE LINEN.
The supplied fabric weight is:
403 GRAMS PER LINEAR METRE
on fabric measuring:
54 INCHES WIDE.
54 inches equals approximately 1.3716 metres.
At this width:
403 grams per linear metre converts to approximately:
294 GSM.
The decorative face fabric therefore weighs approximately:
294 GRAMS PER SQUARE METRE.
This is substantial curtain-weight pure linen rather than lightweight linen voile or gauze.
The approximately 294 GSM fabric provides:
• Excellent curtain body
• A substantial natural fall
• Deep and defined folds
• Rich natural texture
• Strong decorative presence
• A premium heavyweight feel
• Excellent suitability for floor-length curtains
• Suitability for large windows
• Suitability for extra-tall windows
NATURAL PURE LINEN CHARACTER
Pure linen is made from natural flax fibre.
Natural linen should not be expected to have the completely uniform appearance of synthetic fabric.
Normal characteristics may include:
• Linen slubs
• Variations in yarn thickness
• Occasional thicker fibres
• Occasional finer fibres
• Tiny weave irregularities
• Natural tonal changes
• Small flax-coloured fibres
• Visible woven texture
• Gentle natural creasing
These characteristics are normal features of genuine linen rather than defects.
They contribute to the relaxed, tactile character of the finished curtains.
UNLINED — SEMI-SHEER PRIVACY CURTAINS
Choose UNLINED when you want the pure linen in its most natural form.
Although this is thick and substantial approximately 294 GSM curtain-weight linen, genuine woven linen can still allow some daylight to pass through when strongly illuminated from behind.
The unlined curtain therefore has a naturally:
SEMI-SHEER / LIGHT-FILTERING / PRIVACY CURTAIN QUALITY.
These curtains are considerably thicker and heavier than lightweight voile or gauze sheer curtains.
However, unlined natural linen is not completely opaque.
The unlined option provides:
• Softly filtered natural daylight
• Moderate daytime privacy
• Maximum visibility of natural linen texture
• A relaxed natural drape
• Beautiful backlighting of the Moroccan pattern
• A lighter finished window treatment than lined curtains
HOW THE PATTERN APPEARS WHEN BACKLIT
When daylight passes through the linen:
• Sage-green areas become softer and more luminous
• Chocolate-brown outlines retain stronger definition
• Mustard stars appear warm and glowing
• Camel medallions remain clearly visible
• Natural linen texture becomes more apparent
This causes the textile to change subtly throughout the day according to the direction and intensity of natural light.
UNLINED PRIVACY NOTE
Strong backlighting may allow silhouettes to remain visible through unlined natural linen.
At night, privacy can decrease when room lights are switched on while it is dark outside.
If complete visual opacity is required, choose the organic cotton light-filtering liner.
ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER
Choose the ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER when you want increased privacy while retaining softly filtered ambient daylight.
The organic cotton liner sits behind the decorative printed linen face.
This makes the completed curtain completely opaque rather than semi-sheer.
Benefits include:
• Complete visual opacity through the curtain body
• Increased privacy
• Reduced visibility of silhouettes
• Softly filtered natural daylight
• Additional curtain body
• Fuller-looking folds
• A more substantial finished drape
• Greater definition of the printed face pattern inside the room
This option works particularly well for:
• Living rooms
• Bedrooms
• Guest bedrooms
• Dining rooms
• Home offices
• Children's rooms
• Street-facing windows
Choose organic cotton lining when complete privacy and opacity are important but total darkness is not required.
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 CERTIFIED 100% BLACKOUT POLYCOTTON LINER
Choose the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 CERTIFIED 100% BLACKOUT POLYCOTTON LINER when maximum light blocking is required.
The blackout liner is designed to prevent transmitted light from passing through the curtain body.
This option is particularly suitable for:
• Bedrooms
• Nurseries
• Children's bedrooms
• Guest bedrooms
• Home cinemas
• Media rooms
• Strong morning-sun windows
• Rooms affected by street lighting
• Shift workers
• Customers who prefer a very dark sleeping environment
The decorative sage, mustard and brown pure linen remains visible inside the room.
The blackout layer performs the light-blocking function behind it.
The CURTAIN BODY itself provides complete blackout.
Please remember that total ROOM darkness also depends on installation.
Light may still enter around:
• Outer edges
• Centre opening
• Top
• Bottom
if gaps remain around the curtains.
For the strongest room-darkening result, generous window coverage is recommended.
SOLD AS A SINGLE CURTAIN OR PAIR / SET OF TWO
These curtains can be purchased individually or as a matching pair.
SINGLE PIECE
Selecting SINGLE PIECE means you receive:
ONE FINISHED CURTAIN PANEL.
PAIR / SET OF TWO
Selecting PAIR / SET OF TWO means you receive:
TWO MATCHING FINISHED CURTAIN PANELS.
A pair is normally installed with one curtain positioned on either side of the window.
Please carefully check your selected quantity before completing your order.
STANDARD WIDTH OPTIONS
Available standard finished widths are:
• 50 INCHES
• 100 INCHES
IMPORTANT:
THE SELECTED WIDTH REFERS TO EACH INDIVIDUAL CURTAIN PANEL.
For example:
A PAIR in the 50-inch width means:
TWO FINISHED CURTAIN PANELS measuring approximately 50 inches wide each.
The pair therefore provides approximately:
100 INCHES OF COMBINED FLAT FABRIC WIDTH
before gathering.
CURTAIN FULLNESS
The flat finished width is different from the amount of window space the curtain occupies once gathered.
Curtains generally look fuller and more luxurious when their combined flat width is greater than the width of the curtain rod or track.
The preferred fullness depends on:
• Curtain rod width
• Curtain track width
• Number of panels
• Heading style
• Preferred amount of gathering
IMPORTANT — 100-INCH-WIDE CURTAIN CONSTRUCTION
The decorative face fabric is approximately 50 inches wide for curtain construction.
Therefore:
EVERY 100-INCH-WIDE CURTAIN WILL BE MADE BY JOINING TWO APPROXIMATELY 50-INCH FABRIC PANELS.
The two fabric widths are professionally sewn together to create one finished approximately 100-inch-wide curtain.
This creates one vertical joining seam.
Once the curtain is installed and naturally gathered into folds, the seam is generally BARELY VISIBLE.
Joining multiple fabric widths is a standard professional curtain-making technique used to create extra-wide curtains.
If you purchase a PAIR of 100-inch-wide curtains, each individual 100-inch curtain will contain its own joining seam.
PATTERN MATCHING AT THE JOIN
Because this fabric has a continuously repeating Moroccan geometric pattern, pattern placement will be considered when joining the two fabric widths.
The motifs will be aligned as neatly and harmoniously as the available repeat permits.
Exact matching can depend on:
• Pattern repeat
• Selected finished width
• Cutting position
• Available fabric section
Once the finished curtain is naturally gathered into folds, the vertical joining seam generally becomes much less noticeable.
STANDARD HEIGHT OPTIONS
Finished curtain lengths are available from:
36 INCHES TO 180 INCHES
in 12-inch increments.
Available standard heights are:
• 36 inches
• 48 inches
• 60 inches
• 72 inches

• 96 inches
• 108 inches
• 120 inches
• 132 inches
• 144 inches
• 156 inches
• 168 inches
