FABRIC WEIGHT AND DRAPE

Fabric weight is approximately 294 GSM, converted from 403 grams per linear metre for fabric measuring 54 inches wide.

This is a thick, heavy and substantial curtain fabric with a luxurious fall. Although the material has significant body, the unlined version remains semi-sheer when strongly backlit because of the natural woven structure.

QUANTITY OPTIONS

These curtains may be purchased as:

• One individual curtain panel
• One pair or set of two curtain panels

The width selected from the menu is the finished width of each individual curtain piece, not the combined width of a pair.

For example:

• One 50-inch-wide panel = 50 inches of total flat fabric width
• A pair of 50-inch-wide panels = 100 inches of total flat fabric width
• A pair of 100-inch-wide panels = 200 inches of total flat fabric width

LINING OPTIONS

Unlined

The unlined silk-linen jacquard gently filters daylight and provides semi-sheer daytime privacy. The woven forest design remains light and softly illuminated when sunlight passes through it. At night, silhouettes may be visible from outside when the room is lit, so this option is best where complete privacy is not required.

Organic cotton light-filtering liner

The organic cotton lining provides additional body and privacy while softly filtering daylight. It makes the curtain completely opaque, protects the reverse of the decorative fabric and gives the panel a fuller, more structured drape. This is an excellent nursery option when privacy is important but some natural light is still desired. It is not a blackout lining.

100% blackout liner

The OEKO-TEX Standard 100-certified polycotton blackout lining blocks light passing through the covered curtain fabric, creating darkness suitable for naps, early bedtimes and light-sensitive sleepers. It also adds considerable body and structure to the curtain.

Please remember that small amounts of light can still enter around the sides, top or bottom of any curtain depending on the rod or track position, curtain fullness and window installation. For the darkest result, allow generous side overlap and position the curtain above and beyond the window frame.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR 100-INCH-WIDE CURTAINS

A 100-inch-wide curtain panel is made by joining two 50-inch-wide sections of fabric. Each 100-inch panel will therefore have one vertical seam through the centre.

This seam is a normal and necessary part of constructing an extra-wide panel. It becomes discreet and barely visible once the curtain is installed and arranged into folds. If you order a pair of 100-inch-wide curtains, each panel will contain its own centre seam.

For a custom size, select the next available standard size larger than the measurements you require. Then enter your exact finished width and length in the order details email, including whether the measurements are in inches or centimetres.

Example:

If you require one curtain measuring 76 inches wide by 90 inches long, select the 100-inch width and 96-inch length, then enter:

Finished size: 76 in wide × 90 in long

The requested custom measurements must fit within the standard size purchased.

HEADING STYLES

Hooks top

A professional heading suitable for both curtain rods and curtain tracks. For a rod installation, the curtain hangs from curtain rings fitted with hooks. For a track installation, the hooks connect to compatible track gliders or runners.

Back tabs

Concealed fabric tabs are sewn onto the reverse of the curtain. The rod passes through these hidden tabs, creating neat folds while keeping the hardware largely out of sight. Back tabs are intended for curtain rods.

Rod pocket

A sewn channel at the top allows the curtain rod to pass directly through the fabric. This creates a simple gathered appearance and is suitable for curtain rods.

Grommets

Metal eyelets are fitted across the top of the curtain, allowing it to slide directly onto a curtain rod. Grommets produce clean, even folds and are suitable for rods rather than tracks.

MEASURING AND FULLNESS

Curtain width refers to the flat fabric width before the curtain is gathered into folds.

For standard decorative fullness, the combined flat width of your curtains should generally be approximately 1.5 to 2 times the width of the rod or track. For the deeper and more luxurious folds shown in styled room images, allow approximately 2.5 to 3 times the rod or track width.

When ordering a pair, divide the total required flat width between the two curtain panels.

CAFE CURTAINS

We can also make custom cafe curtains for kitchens, bathrooms, breakfast areas, reading corners, playrooms and smaller nursery windows.

Choose the next standard width and length above your required dimensions, then enter the exact finished cafe-curtain measurements in the order details email.

For example, for a cafe curtain measuring 47 inches wide by 30 inches long, select 50 inches wide by 36 inches long and request the exact 47 × 30-inch finished size.

• Pattern placement will vary according to the woodland jacquard repeat and the dimensions selected.
• Each panel will display a unique section of the woodland scene.
• Minor natural slubs and yarn variations are part of the character of silk-linen fabric and are not defects.
• The fabric’s restrained sheen can make the sage green and ivory tones appear slightly different under warm light, cool daylight or artificial lighting.

• The 100-inch width includes a necessary central joining seam.
