Sage Green Plaid Pure Linen Curtains, Charcoal Gray Mustard Tartan Drapes, Custom Blackout Farmhouse Panels
Bring timeless country-house character and sophisticated natural color to your windows with these thick and heavy pure linen printed curtains. Featuring a large-scale sage green, charcoal gray and mustard tartan plaid, these custom window panels combine the relaxed texture of genuine linen with the tailored appearance of a traditional heritage check.
The fabric has a beautifully muted and versatile color palette. Large blocks of soft sage green and eucalyptus green alternate with deep charcoal gray, dark olive-gray and smoky green. Narrow intersecting lines in mustard gold, subdued ochre, soft ivory and pale gray run horizontally and vertically across the surface, creating a layered tartan-inspired plaid.
The pattern is bold enough to become an attractive feature within the room, while the softened earthy colors keep it elegant and easy to coordinate. It is not a bright green or sharply contrasting black-and-white check. Instead, the overall appearance is calm, natural, slightly rustic and sophisticated.
These curtains work beautifully in modern farmhouse, English country, rustic cottage, traditional, transitional, lodge, cabin, heritage and nature-inspired interiors. They are especially attractive when paired with warm wood furniture, natural oak, walnut, antique brass, black metal curtain rods, leather upholstery, oatmeal linen, cream walls, woven rugs and neutral stone finishes.
PURE LINEN FABRIC
These curtains are made from thick and heavy pure linen printed fabric.
The fabric weighs approximately 294 GSM, giving it a substantial feel, excellent body and a luxurious structured drape. The heavier weight helps the curtains form attractive folds rather than hanging like thin or lightweight fabric.
The plaid design is printed onto the pure linen surface. It is not embroidered or yarn-dyed.
Pure linen naturally contains small slubs, yarn variations, subtle weave irregularities and occasional changes in texture. These characteristics are part of the organic beauty of genuine linen and should not be considered manufacturing defects.
COLOR DESCRIPTION
The principal colors within the fabric are:
Soft sage green
Muted eucalyptus green
Deep charcoal gray
Dark olive-gray
Smoky forest green
Mustard gold
Subdued ochre
Soft ivory
Pale gray
The dominant overall appearance is sage green and charcoal gray, with fine mustard and ivory accents.
Different screens, mobile devices and room lighting can display colors differently. The fabric may appear slightly more green, gray or olive depending on the natural and artificial lighting in your room. Ordering a fabric swatch before purchasing is recommended when an exact color match is important.
PATTERN DESCRIPTION
The fabric has a large-scale tartan plaid or windowpane-check design.
Broad rectangular blocks of sage green, smoky green and charcoal gray are arranged in a classic checked layout. Fine groups of mustard-gold, ivory and gray stripes cross the larger blocks vertically and horizontally, creating additional depth at the intersections.
This is not a small gingham print or a simple two-color buffalo check. It has a more detailed heritage-plaid appearance with several layers of intersecting lines.
Because the curtains are handmade from patterned fabric, the exact location of each green, charcoal or mustard section can vary slightly according to the selected curtain dimensions and the point at which the fabric is cut.
SINGLE CURTAIN OR SET OF TWO
These curtains are available as either:
Single curtain panel
You will receive one finished curtain in the selected width and height.
Set of two curtains
You will receive two matching finished curtain panels, each made in the selected width and height.
The selected dimensions apply to each individual curtain, not to the combined measurement of the pair.
For example:
A set of two curtains ordered in 50 inches wide by 84 inches high includes two separate curtains. Each curtain will measure approximately 50 inches wide by 84 inches high.
The two curtains together will provide approximately 100 inches of flat fabric width before gathering.
A single curtain ordered in 100 inches wide by 96 inches high includes one curtain measuring approximately 100 inches wide by 96 inches high.
Please check carefully whether you have selected a single curtain or a set of two before completing your purchase.
WIDTH OPTIONS
The standard finished width options are:
50 inches wide per curtain — approximately 127 cm
100 inches wide per curtain — approximately 254 cm
The selected width is the flat finished fabric width of each curtain before it is gathered onto the rod or track.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT 100-INCH-WIDE CURTAINS
The base linen fabric is approximately 50 inches wide. Therefore, every 100-inch-wide curtain will be made by joining two approximately 50-inch-wide sections of fabric.
A carefully sewn vertical joining seam will be present near the middle of each 100-inch-wide curtain.
The pattern will be aligned as closely as the fabric repeat and cutting layout reasonably allow. Once the finished curtain is installed and arranged into natural folds, the central seam is generally barely visible.
If you order a set of two curtains in the 100-inch width, each finished curtain will contain its own joining seam.
This construction is normal and necessary for creating extra-wide curtains from the available fabric width.
HEIGHT OPTIONS
The available standard finished heights are:
36 inches — approximately 91 cm
48 inches — approximately 122 cm
60 inches — approximately 152 cm
72 inches — approximately 183 cm
84 inches — approximately 213 cm
96 inches — approximately 244 cm
108 inches — approximately 274 cm
120 inches — approximately 305 cm
132 inches — approximately 335 cm
144 inches — approximately 366 cm
156 inches — approximately 396 cm
168 inches — approximately 427 cm
180 inches — approximately 457 cm
The curtain height is measured from the top edge of the finished curtain to the bottom edge of the finished hem.
CUSTOM CURTAIN SIZES
Custom widths and heights can also be made.
For a custom size, please select the next available standard size that is equal to or larger than the exact finished size you require. Enter your precise measurements in the order details email when placing the order.
Example:
Exact size required: 47 inches wide by 91 inches high
Select from the menu: 50 inches wide by 96 inches high
Write in the order details email:
Finished size required per curtain: 47 inches wide by 91 inches high.
Please do not select a listing size that is smaller than the custom finished measurement required.
For example, a required height of 91 inches should be ordered under the 96-inch option rather than the 84-inch option.
The measurements entered in the order details email will be treated as the required finished measurements. Please measure carefully before submitting the order.
For exceptionally wide curtains, unusually long curtains or dimensions outside the available menu options, please contact us before purchasing so the construction and required fabric quantity can be confirmed.
CHOOSING THE CORRECT CURTAIN WIDTH
For curtains that need to close fully across the window, the combined flat width of all curtain panels should be wider than the curtain rod or track.
The correct fullness depends on:
The selected heading style
The width of the rod or track
Whether the curtains are decorative or functional
How deeply gathered you want them to appear
Whether they will remain mostly open or regularly be closed
For a fuller and more luxurious appearance, additional fabric width is recommended.
Example:
If the curtain rod measures approximately 80 inches across, a set of two curtains measuring 50 inches wide each will provide approximately 100 inches of combined flat width.
This will create moderate gathering rather than very dense fullness.
If more generous folds are preferred, wider panels may be required.
Please remember that a 50-inch curtain refers to the flat fabric width. The visible coverage will be narrower after the curtain is gathered or arranged into folds.
LINING OPTIONS
Three lining choices are available:
Unlined
Organic cotton light-filtering liner
OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified 100% blackout polycotton liner
The required lining choice must be entered in the order details email.
UNLINED CURTAINS
The unlined option showcases the natural texture and movement of the pure linen fabric.
Although the linen is thick and heavy, unlined curtains allow some natural light to pass through when strongly backlit. They provide soft light filtering and semi-sheer daytime privacy.
The printed plaid will appear slightly brighter when sunlight passes through the fabric.
Unlined curtains are suitable when you prefer:
The most natural linen drape
Softly filtered daylight
A lighter and more relaxed appearance
Decorative side panels
Curtains layered over blinds or shutters
Rooms where complete privacy is not required
Unlined curtains should not be considered completely opaque.
At night, when lights are switched on inside the room, shadows or silhouettes may be visible from outside. The amount of visibility will depend on the strength and position of the lighting.
ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER
The organic cotton liner provides additional privacy, opacity, structure and fullness while still allowing softly diffused natural light into the room.
With the cotton liner added, the curtains become completely opaque under normal conditions. The cotton backing prevents the window or objects behind the curtains from being visible through the face fabric.
This option is suitable when you prefer:
Greater privacy
An opaque curtain
Softly filtered daylight
A natural-fiber lining
Additional body and structure
A fuller and more tailored drape
Reduced visibility of the curtain reverse
Bedroom or living-room curtains without complete blackout
The organic cotton liner is light filtering rather than blackout. It will reduce and soften incoming light, but it will not create complete darkness.
100% BLACKOUT LINER
The blackout option uses an OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, non-toxic polycotton blackout liner made from approximately 50% cotton and 50% polyester.
This liner blocks light from passing through the curtain fabric, making it the most suitable option for rooms where maximum darkness and privacy are required.
The blackout lining also adds weight, body and structure to the finished curtain.
Choose the blackout option for:
Bedrooms
Nurseries
Children’s rooms
Media rooms
Guest bedrooms
Shift-worker bedrooms
Rooms receiving strong morning or afternoon sunlight
Spaces requiring maximum privacy
Rooms where streetlights enter at night
The blackout liner prevents light from passing directly through the curtain panel. However, as with any blackout curtain, a small amount of light may still enter around the top, bottom or sides depending on the installation.
For the darkest possible result:
Install the curtain rod above the window frame
Extend the rod beyond both sides of the window
Choose sufficient curtain width for generous coverage
Allow the curtains to overlap slightly in the center
Use a return rod or wraparound rod when possible
AVAILABLE HEADING STYLES
Four heading styles are available:
Hooks top
Back tabs
Rod pocket
Grommets
The required heading style must be entered in the order details email.
HOOKS-TOP CURTAINS
The hooks-top style is compatible with both curtain rods and curtain tracks.
For a rod installation, the curtain hooks attach to rings placed on the rod.
For a track installation, the hooks connect to the track gliders or carriers.
This is a versatile and tailored heading style suitable for traditional, transitional and contemporary interiors.
Hooks-top curtains are a good choice when:
You already have a curtain track
You use a rod fitted with curtain rings
You want a neat, adaptable heading
You may need to remove the curtains without removing the rod
You prefer a clean upper edge
BACK-TAB CURTAINS
Back tabs are sewn onto the reverse of the curtain heading.
The curtain rod passes through these hidden fabric loops, leaving the tabs concealed when viewed from the front. This creates a clean, tailored appearance with gentle vertical folds.
Back tabs are suitable for decorative curtain rods and work particularly well in farmhouse, cottage, transitional and relaxed traditional interiors.
Back-tab curtains are generally intended to remain stationary or to be opened and closed by hand. They may not slide as freely as curtains suspended from hooks and rings.
ROD-POCKET CURTAINS
A fabric channel is sewn across the upper edge of the curtain, allowing the curtain rod to pass directly through the pocket.
Rod-pocket curtains create a softly gathered, casual appearance and are particularly suitable for farmhouse, rustic, country cottage and relaxed interiors.
Please ensure that your curtain rod will fit comfortably through the pocket.
Rod-pocket curtains are especially suitable for:
Decorative curtain panels
Windows where curtains are not opened daily
Cafe curtains
Short kitchen curtains
Country cottage window treatments
Small bedroom or bathroom windows
GROMMET CURTAINS
Metal grommets are installed across the top of the curtain, allowing the rod to pass directly through the rings.
Grommets produce broad, regular folds and allow the curtains to slide relatively easily along a smooth rod.
This style works particularly well in modern farmhouse, contemporary, transitional and casual interiors.
The rod will remain visible between the folds.

1. Exact finished width required for each curtain
2. Exact finished height required for each curtain
3. Heading style: Hooks top, back tabs, rod pocket or grommets
4. Lining preference: Unlined, organic cotton light filtering or 100% blackout
5. Any additional customization instructions
Example personalization:

Heading style: Back tabs
Lining: Organic cotton light filtering
Additional request: Set of two matching curtains
Even when ordering a standard size, the required heading style and lining choice must still be written in the order details email.
HOW TO MEASURE THE WIDTH
Install or determine the intended position of the curtain rod or track before measuring.
Measure the entire usable width of the rod or track rather than measuring only the glass portion of the window.
Decide whether the curtains will:
Cover only the window opening
Extend beyond the window frame
Remain mostly decorative at the sides
Close fully for privacy
Meet in the center
Overlap slightly in the center
For full coverage, the combined curtain width should exceed the width of the rod or track.
Measure the rod between the decorative finials rather than including the finials themselves.
For curtain tracks, measure the usable track length.
HOW TO MEASURE THE HEIGHT
Measure from the point where the top of the finished curtain will sit to the desired position of the bottom hem.
The starting point depends on the selected heading.
For hooks-top curtains, consider the position of the rings, hooks or track carriers.
For rod-pocket curtains, measure from the intended top edge of the curtain.
For back-tab curtains, measure from the intended upper edge of the finished curtain.
For grommet curtains, remember that a small section of fabric will sit above the curtain rod.
Choose the preferred finished length:
Window-sill length
Below-sill length
Apron length
Floor length
Slight break at the floor
Puddled length
For floor-length curtains, measure in more than one location because floors and ceilings may not be perfectly level.
CAFE CURTAINS AND SHORT CURTAINS
This fabric can also be made into custom cafe curtains and short window curtains.
The sage green and charcoal plaid is especially well suited to farmhouse kitchens, breakfast nooks, cottage bathrooms, pantries, utility rooms, mudrooms, cabin windows and small door windows.
Available custom styles can include:
Cafe curtains
Kitchen curtains
Half-window curtains
Tier curtains
Short curtain panels
Bathroom curtains
Pantry curtains
Cabinet curtains
Under-counter curtains
Door-window curtains
Farmhouse window tiers
Small rustic window treatments
To order custom cafe curtains, select the next available listing size above the exact finished measurements required.
Enter the following in the order details email:
Exact finished width
Exact finished height
Required quantity
Heading style
Lining preference
Any special installation details
For example:
Cafe curtain size required: 42 inches wide by 24 inches high
Quantity: Set of two
Heading: Rod pocket
Lining: Unlined
Cafe curtains are not limited to kitchens. They can also provide partial privacy in bathrooms, home offices, dining rooms, breakfast areas or rooms where the upper portion of the window should remain uncovered.
PATTERN PLACEMENT AND MATCHING
The fabric will be cut carefully to present the plaid attractively on each curtain.
However, exact pattern placement will vary according to:
The selected width
The selected height
The fabric repeat
The point at which the fabric is cut
Whether the curtain requires a joining seam
The number of curtains ordered
For a pair, the panels will be coordinated as closely as the fabric layout allows.
For a 100-inch-wide curtain, the pattern will be aligned across the central seam as closely as reasonably possible. Minor differences at the seam may occur because of the scale and repeat of the printed design.
Pattern placement may not be identical to the listing photographs, particularly on shorter cafe curtains or custom-size panels.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Professional dry cleaning is recommended, especially for lined and blackout-lined curtains.
Do not use bleach.
Do not aggressively rub the printed surface.
For small marks, gently blot the area with a clean, soft cloth.
Regularly remove surface dust with a soft upholstery brush or vacuum cleaner using a low-suction setting.
Natural linen can develop creases during folding, packing and transportation. Most creases will gradually relax after the curtains have been hung.
If steaming is required:
Use moderate steam
Work carefully from the reverse where possible
Avoid prolonged heat in one area
Do not press directly onto blackout lining at a high temperature
Professional cleaning helps preserve the fabric dimensions, print, lining and heading construction.
HANDMADE CHARACTER
Each curtain is individually cut and sewn according to the selected size, heading and lining preference.
Small variations in measurement, stitching, pattern placement and natural linen texture can occur as part of the handmade process.
Pure linen may contain:
Slubs
Thicker yarn sections
Fine weave variations
Small natural irregularities
Subtle changes in texture
These are normal characteristics of pure linen and contribute to its relaxed, organic appearance.
ORDERING PANELS FOR THE SAME ROOM
When several curtains are required for the same room, ordering all panels together is recommended.
Fabric color and print tone can vary subtly between production batches. Ordering the complete set at one time provides the best opportunity for all curtains to be made from the same available fabric batch.
