Sage Green Linen Curtains, Ivory Jacobean Floral Embroidered Drapes, Custom Blackout Living Room Curtain Panels
Bring the calm beauty of a heritage garden into your home with these sage green linen curtains, handmade from thick and heavy pure linen embroidered fabric. The muted sage green background is decorated with intricate ivory floral embroidery, creating an elegant botanical window treatment with the richness of traditional Jacobean textiles and the relaxed natural texture of linen.
The base fabric is a soft, dusty sage green with subtle gray-green undertones. It is neither a bright green nor a dark forest shade. Its muted, earthy character makes it easy to coordinate with warm whites, ivory, cream, oatmeal, taupe, natural wood, antique brass, black metal, terracotta, muted blue and other nature-inspired interior colors.
The embroidery is worked in soft ivory and warm off-white thread. It stands out gently against the sage background without creating a harsh contrast. The slightly raised threadwork gives the curtains dimension, visible craftsmanship and a luxurious tactile finish.
The botanical pattern features winding embroidered vines, ornamental flowers, small rosette-shaped blooms, fern-like leaves, outlined foliage, delicate stems and stylized Jacobean-inspired blossoms. The design flows organically across the linen rather than appearing in rigid rows, creating an elegant hand-drawn effect that feels both vintage and timeless.
These embroidered linen drapes are particularly well suited to farmhouse, cottage, French country, vintage, grandmillennial, botanical, English country, transitional and softly traditional interiors. Their muted green and ivory palette also works beautifully in relaxed modern homes where natural texture and subtle pattern are preferred over bold color.
They can be used as living room curtains, bedroom curtains, dining room drapes, kitchen curtains, guest room curtains, nursery curtains, study curtains or decorative window panels for a home office, library, sitting room or sunroom.
FABRIC DETAILS
Material: Thick and heavy pure linen embroidered fabric
Base color: Muted sage green, dusty gray-green and soft eucalyptus green
Embroidery color: Ivory, warm white and soft off-white
Pattern: Jacobean-inspired floral vine with ornamental blossoms, rosettes, fern-like foliage, leaves and trailing botanical stems
Fabric weight: Approximately 294 GSM
The approximate 294 GSM weight has been converted from 403 grams per linear meter for fabric measuring 54 inches wide.
This substantial embroidered linen has a rich woven surface and a beautiful natural fall. It feels considerably more luxurious and structured than lightweight linen while retaining the organic texture and relaxed appearance associated with genuine linen.
The raised embroidery creates additional body and visual depth. In daylight, the ivory botanical motifs become more prominent, while in softer evening light the pattern appears more subtle and textural.

HEADING STYLE OPTIONS
Hooks Top
The hooks-top heading is compatible with both curtain rods and curtain tracks. Curtain hooks can be attached to rings on a rod or to compatible runners and gliders on a track. This option creates an elegant, versatile and tailored hanging style.
Back Tabs
Fabric tabs are sewn discreetly behind the curtain heading. The curtain rod passes through the hidden tabs, leaving the front of the curtain clean and uninterrupted. Back tabs create soft, structured folds and work beautifully in modern farmhouse, transitional and relaxed traditional rooms.
Rod Pocket
A fabric channel is created across the top of the curtain, allowing the curtain rod to pass directly through it. Rod-pocket curtains have a soft gathered appearance and are especially suitable for cottage, farmhouse, vintage and casual interiors.
Grommets
Metal eyelets are fitted across the curtain heading so the rod passes directly through the grommets. This creates even folds and allows the curtain to slide easily along the rod. Grommets provide a cleaner and slightly more contemporary appearance.
Please write your required heading style in the order details email, even when ordering a standard size.
LINING OPTIONS
Unlined
The unlined option highlights the natural beauty, woven texture and embroidered pattern of the pure linen.
When unlined, these curtains are semi-sheer privacy curtains. They soften direct daylight and provide a degree of daytime privacy while keeping the room bright and airy. The ivory embroidery becomes especially beautiful when illuminated by natural light.
Because the unlined fabric is semi-sheer, shapes or silhouettes may remain visible at night when the room is brightly lit from inside. The unlined option is therefore best for rooms where soft light and decorative texture are more important than complete nighttime privacy.
Organic Cotton Light-Filtering Liner
The organic cotton light-filtering liner adds privacy, body and structure to the curtain while continuing to allow soft natural daylight into the room.
This liner makes the curtain completely opaque, so the window and objects behind the fabric cannot be clearly seen through it. It also gives the curtain a fuller, more luxurious fall and helps the embroidered linen hang in deeper folds.
The organic cotton liner is a suitable choice for living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens, guest rooms, home offices and bedrooms where privacy is needed without making the room completely dark.
100% Blackout Liner
The blackout option uses an OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, non-toxic polycotton liner made from 50% cotton and 50% polyester.
This liner is designed to block light passing through the curtain fabric completely. It provides maximum privacy and is suitable for bedrooms, nurseries, children’s rooms, guest rooms, home theaters, media rooms, shift workers and light-sensitive sleepers.
For the darkest possible room, the curtains should extend sufficiently beyond the top and sides of the window. This reduces light entering through gaps around the edges of the curtain.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR 100-INCH-WIDE CURTAINS
A 100-inch-wide curtain will be constructed by carefully joining two 50-inch-wide sections of embroidered linen.
Each 100-inch-wide curtain will therefore have one vertical joining seam in the middle. The seam is professionally finished and carefully aligned wherever possible.
Once the curtain is installed, gathered and arranged into natural folds, the center seam is barely visible. The embroidery and textured linen surface also help the joining line blend naturally into the curtain.
This construction is necessary because the decorative embroidered fabric is produced in a limited loom width and cannot be cut as one continuous 100-inch-wide piece.
CAFE CURTAINS
We can also make cafe curtains from this sage green and ivory embroidered linen fabric.
Cafe curtains are ideal for kitchen windows, breakfast nooks, pantry windows, laundry rooms, bathrooms, cottage windows and smaller windows where privacy is needed across the lower section while the upper portion remains open to daylight.
They are particularly attractive in farmhouse kitchens, English country interiors and breakfast areas because the ivory botanical embroidery remains clearly visible even on a shorter curtain.
For custom cafe curtains, select the next available size above your required measurements. Enter the exact finished width and length in the order details email together with the required heading style and liner preference.
HOW TO CHOOSE THE CORRECT CURTAIN WIDTH
Measure the usable width of your curtain rod or track. Do not include decorative finials in the measurement.
For a lightly gathered appearance, the combined curtain width should generally be around 1.5 times the width of the rod or track.
For fuller, richer folds, the combined curtain width should generally be approximately twice the width of the rod or track.
Example:
For a 50-inch-wide rod, approximately 75 inches of combined curtain width produces lighter gathering.
Approximately 100 inches of combined curtain width produces fuller and more luxurious folds.
When purchasing a pair, calculate the combined width of both panels rather than the width of only one curtain.
The best fullness can vary according to the heading style, window dimensions and preferred final appearance.
HOW TO MEASURE THE CURTAIN LENGTH
Hooks Top
Measure from the point at which the curtain hook will hang to the desired finished position.
Back Tabs
Measure from the top of the curtain rod to the desired finished position.
Rod Pocket
Measure from the top of the curtain rod to the desired finished position.
Grommets
Measure from the top of the curtain rod to the desired finished position, remembering that a small amount of fabric will remain visible above the grommets.
Possible finished positions include:
At the windowsill
Slightly below the sill
Just above the floor
Lightly touching the floor
Gently pooling on the floor
Measure each window carefully because floors, ceilings, rods and window frames may not be perfectly level.

NATURAL LINEN AND HANDMADE CHARACTER
Each curtain is individually made to order. The exact placement of flowers, leaves and vines may vary according to the curtain dimensions and the section of fabric from which it is cut.
Natural linen can contain subtle slubs, fine irregular yarns, occasional thicker threads and minor variations in the weave. These are normal characteristics of genuine linen and contribute to its organic beauty rather than being considered defects.
Slight variations in finished measurements may occur because linen is a natural woven textile and every curtain is individually cut and sewn.
Colors can also appear slightly different depending on daylight, artificial lighting, camera settings and individual screen displays. The fabric is best described as a muted sage or dusty gray-green rather than a bright green. The embroidery is soft ivory rather than stark optical white.
