Measure for your curtains

Enter your width and height together, then apply your measurements.

Size-dropdown widths are flat fabric widths per curtain.

A gathered curtain covers less space than its flat fabric width. Choose fullness below; Grommet/Eyelet and Pinch pleats always need 2× your coverage width.

This selection also updates Heading style on the product page.

Choose your fullness

Multiply the rod / track coverage by your fullness, then divide by the number of curtains.

Photorealistic fullness examples; actual folds vary with fabric and heading.

Measure the usable span of your installed rod or track, from one end of the curtain coverage to the other. Exclude decorative finials.

A pair contains two curtains. The flat fabric width you order is per curtain, not the combined pair. Choosing a curtain count here updates Panel quantity on the product page.

Enter the full measured drop. For Hooks top only, we subtract 1 in (2.54 cm) because the curtain hangs slightly below the rod. Do not deduct it yourself.

Apply your measurements

We select the exact available flat-width × finished-height size, or the closest larger size fitting both dimensions. For a larger size, your exact request is added to Custom sizes / requirements, preserving your own notes. Your curtain-count choice also updates Panel quantity on the product page.

Review your heading and fullness before applying. This updates your selected size but does not add anything to your cart.

Measure the space your curtains will cover

Measure the usable span of your installed rod or track, from one end of the curtain coverage to the other. Exclude decorative finials.

Measure the usable rod or track span—not the window glass or decorative finials.

Example: a 100 in (254 cm) rod, two curtains and 2× fullness need 100 in (254 cm) flat width per curtain.

Flat fabric width before gathering or pleating—not the hanging coverage.

Measure from the top of the rod to your chosen bottom

Measure straight down from the top of your installed curtain rod to where you want the curtains to end. For a track, use the top of the installed track.

Start at the top of the rod or track. Stop at your chosen bottom.

Rust Brown Charcoal Ivory Tribal Stripe Linen Curtains, Heavy Boho Geometric Drapes, Custom Blackout or Light Filtering Panels

Product description
Shipping & returns

Bring rich earthy colour, graphic structure and beautifully textured natural fabric into your home with these custom-made pure linen curtains. Created from thick and substantial linen, these statement window panels feature a distinctive tribal-inspired vertical stripe design in warm rust brown, deep charcoal black, warm ivory and softly mottled grey.

The pattern combines broad rust-brown vertical bands with narrower charcoal columns filled with closely spaced ivory and grey horizontal dashes. From a distance, the arrangement creates a bold striped rhythm; viewed more closely, the small broken lines and textured printed details give the design a handwoven, mudcloth-inspired character. The warm clay-brown sections soften the strong charcoal pattern, making the curtains graphic and eye-catching without feeling excessively stark.

These curtains are especially suited to bohemian, tribal, Southwestern, modern rustic, earthy minimalist, eclectic, organic modern and contemporary interiors. They can be used as living room curtains, bedroom drapes, dining room curtains, office window panels, studio curtains, loft curtains, tall window drapes or custom cafe curtains.

Each curtain is made to order and can be purchased as either one individual curtain panel or a pair of two matching curtain panels.

FABRIC COLOURS AND PATTERN

The principal colours visible in the fabric are:

Warm rust brown and clay brown

Deep charcoal black

Warm ivory and off-white

Soft woven grey accents

The design consists of alternating vertical bands. Wide rust-brown columns are separated by charcoal and ivory striped sections containing fine horizontal broken lines. The resulting pattern has a strong geometric quality with a relaxed tribal-boho appearance.

The brown is an earthy rust or clay brown rather than a bright orange. The darker sections appear charcoal black rather than flat jet black, while the lighter markings are warm ivory and grey rather than brilliant white. These naturally subdued tones make the curtains easy to combine with warm white, oatmeal, beige, tan, cognac leather, walnut wood, black metal, aged brass, stone, concrete and other earthy interior finishes.

Please remember that colours can appear slightly different depending on your screen settings, room lighting and the direction of daylight.

THICK AND HEAVY PURE LINEN

The main curtain fabric is pure linen with a thick, heavy and substantial feel. Its weight is approximately 294 GSM, calculated from a fabric weight of 403 grams per linear metre at a fabric width of 54 inches or approximately 137 cm.

This substantial weight gives the curtains an elegant fall and helps the panels form attractive folds when installed. The natural linen texture also adds depth to the printed pattern, preventing the surface from appearing flat or overly uniform.

Small slubs, yarn variations and subtle irregularities are characteristic of natural linen and should not be considered defects. They contribute to the relaxed, organic appearance of the finished curtains.

CURTAIN QUANTITY OPTIONS

The curtains are available as:

Single curtain panel

Pair or set of two curtain panels

All dimensions selected from the size menu refer to the size of each individual curtain panel.

For example, when you order a pair in the size 50 inches wide by 96 inches high, you will receive two separate curtains, each measuring 50 inches wide by 96 inches high.

WIDTH OPTIONS

50 inches wide per curtain panel – approximately 127 cm

100 inches wide per curtain panel – approximately 254 cm

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR 100-INCH-WIDE CURTAINS

A finished curtain panel measuring 100 inches wide will be made by carefully joining two approximately 50-inch fabric widths.

This construction creates a vertical joining seam within the finished curtain panel. The pattern will be aligned as carefully as the fabric repeat allows, and the seam generally becomes barely noticeable after the curtain is installed, gathered and arranged into natural folds.

The seam is a normal and necessary construction detail for an extra-wide pure linen curtain and is not considered a defect.

AVAILABLE HEIGHTS

The following standard curtain heights are available:

36 inches – approximately 91 cm

48 inches – approximately 122 cm

60 inches – approximately 152 cm

72 inches – approximately 183 cm

84 inches – approximately 213 cm

96 inches – approximately 244 cm

108 inches – approximately 274 cm

120 inches – approximately 305 cm

132 inches – approximately 335 cm

144 inches – approximately 366 cm

156 inches – approximately 396 cm

168 inches – approximately 427 cm

180 inches – approximately 457 cm

These options make the curtains suitable for standard windows, floor-length installations, tall ceilings, double-height rooms and extra-long windows.

CUSTOM CURTAIN SIZES

Custom widths and lengths can also be made.

To order a custom size:

Select the next available standard size that is equal to or larger than your required finished measurement.

Enter the exact required width and height of each curtain panel in the order details email.

Include the measurements in inches or centimetres.

Clearly confirm whether the measurement is for each individual panel or the combined width of the complete pair.

For example, when you require a curtain measuring 46 inches wide by 89 inches high, select the 50-inch width and 96-inch height option, then write the exact finished measurement of 46 inches wide by 89 inches high in the order details email.

Please do not select a size smaller than your required custom measurements.

THREE LINING OPTIONS

1. UNLINED

The unlined curtains retain the most natural linen appearance and allow softly filtered daylight to pass through the fabric.

Because these are linen curtains, the unlined version is semi-sheer rather than completely opaque. It provides gentle daytime privacy while preserving a bright and airy atmosphere. Shapes or silhouettes may be more visible at night when lights are switched on inside the room.

Choose unlined curtains when you prefer:

Natural filtered daylight

A softer and more relaxed linen drape

Semi-sheer privacy

A lighter window treatment

Decorative curtains for a room that does not require complete darkness

2. ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER

The organic cotton liner adds body, privacy and opacity while continuing to allow a softly diffused glow into the room.

With this liner, the curtains become completely opaque and provide considerably greater privacy than the unlined version. The cotton backing also gives the panels a fuller and more structured fall.

Choose the organic cotton liner when you prefer:

Complete visual privacy

An opaque curtain

Softly filtered natural light

Additional weight and body

A natural-fibre lining option

Living room, dining room or bedroom curtains that do not need complete blackout

3. 100% BLACKOUT LINER

The blackout option uses an OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, non-toxic polycotton lining made from 50% cotton and 50% polyester.

This liner blocks light completely through the covered fabric area and is the best option for bedrooms, nurseries, media rooms, night-shift sleeping areas or other spaces where maximum darkness is required.

Choose the blackout liner when you prefer:

Complete blackout through the curtain surface

Maximum privacy

A dark sleeping environment

Bedroom or nursery curtains

Reduced glare in television or media rooms

A fuller and more substantial curtain

Please note that small amounts of light may still enter around the top, sides or bottom of the curtains depending on the rod position, heading style, wall clearance and installation method. For the darkest result, allow sufficient curtain width and extend the curtain beyond the window opening wherever possible.

FOUR HEADING STYLES

Please select one of the following heading styles and write your choice in the order details email.

HOOKS TOP

The top of the curtain is finished with curtain heading tape designed for hooks.

This versatile heading is compatible with:

Curtain tracks

Curtain rods used with rings and hooks

The hooks-top style is an excellent choice for traditional, contemporary and professionally installed window treatments. It allows the curtain to hang in structured folds and works especially well on wide or tall windows.

BACK TABS

Fabric tabs are sewn discreetly onto the reverse of the curtain header. The rod passes through the hidden tabs, creating a clean front appearance with soft, evenly spaced folds.

Back tabs are ideal for:

A tailored but relaxed look

Bedrooms and living rooms

Modern, minimalist or organic interiors

Curtain rods where the rod remains partially visible

ROD POCKET

A stitched channel is created across the top of the curtain, allowing the curtain rod to slide directly through the fabric.

Rod-pocket curtains create a softly gathered appearance and are particularly suitable for:

Decorative curtain rods

Casual bohemian interiors

Farmhouse or rustic rooms

Cafe curtains and smaller windows

GROMMETS

Metal grommets are fitted across the top of the curtain, allowing the rod to pass directly through the eyelets.

Grommet curtains form broad, even folds and open and close easily. This heading works particularly well in modern living rooms, bedrooms, studios and contemporary interiors.

PERSONALISATION INFORMATION REQUIRED

Please include all of the following information in the order details email:

Exact finished width of each curtain panel

Exact finished height of each curtain panel

Required heading style: hooks top, back tabs, rod pocket or grommets

Required liner: unlined, organic cotton light filtering or 100% blackout

Any custom-size instructions

Whether the measurements refer to each panel or the total combined width

Orders may be delayed when the heading style, lining option or exact custom measurements are missing.

HOW TO MEASURE THE CURTAIN WIDTH

Measure the usable width of your curtain rod or track rather than measuring only the glass portion of the window.

Decide how much gathering or fullness you would like.

For a gently gathered appearance, the combined flat width of the curtains can be approximately 1.5 times the rod or track width.

For a fuller and more luxurious appearance, the combined flat width can be approximately twice the rod or track width.

When ordering a pair, divide the required combined curtain width between the two panels.

Example:

For a 72-inch-wide curtain rod, a combined curtain width of approximately 108 to 144 inches can create a gathered appearance. A pair could therefore consist of two panels measuring approximately 54 to 72 inches wide each.

The listed curtain width is the flat finished width before the curtain is gathered onto the rod or track.

HOW TO MEASURE THE CURTAIN HEIGHT

For hooks-top curtains, measure from the top of the installed curtain rod or track to where you want the curtains to end. For Hooks top only, subtract 1 in (2.54 cm) once from this measurement because the curtains hang slightly below the rod.

For back-tab curtains, measure from the top of the curtain rod to the desired finishing point.

For rod-pocket curtains, measure from the top of the installed curtain rod or track to where you want the curtains to end.

For grommet curtains, measure from the top of the installed curtain rod or track to where you want the curtains to end. Do not add an allowance above the eyelets.

Curtains may be made to finish:

At the windowsill

Below the windowsill

Just above the floor

Lightly touching the floor

With additional fabric resting on the floor for a puddled appearance

Measure each window carefully, even when the windows appear to be identical.

CAFE CURTAINS

This fabric can also be made into custom cafe curtains for kitchens, breakfast rooms, bathrooms, utility rooms, small windows, door windows or lower-half window coverage.

Cafe curtains are an excellent way to add privacy while allowing daylight to enter through the uncovered upper portion of the window.

For custom cafe curtains, select the next suitable standard size and provide the exact finished measurements, heading style and lining preference in the order details email.

Cafe curtains can be made as a single panel or as a pair, depending on the required window arrangement.

PATTERN PLACEMENT

The exact placement of the stripes may vary slightly according to the selected curtain width, height and position of the fabric repeat.

For pairs, the panels will be coordinated as closely as reasonably possible. However, handmade custom curtains and natural linen fabric may have small differences in pattern position.

For 100-inch-wide curtains, the vertical design will be aligned carefully at the joining seam wherever the fabric repeat permits.

SUITABLE INTERIOR STYLES

These rust brown, charcoal and ivory linen curtains work especially well with:

Bohemian interiors

Tribal-inspired decor

Southwestern homes

Modern rustic rooms

Organic modern interiors

Earthy minimalist spaces

Eclectic living rooms

Industrial lofts

Modern farmhouse homes

Desert-inspired colour palettes

The graphic pattern can act as a focal point in a simple neutral room or coordinate with other patterned textiles in a layered bohemian interior.

CARE RECOMMENDATIONS

Professional dry cleaning is recommended to help preserve the linen texture, printed design, lining and made-to-measure construction.

Avoid bleach and harsh chemical cleaners.

If light creasing occurs, gentle steaming from the reverse side may be used. Avoid placing a very hot iron directly onto the printed surface.

Linen naturally develops a relaxed appearance, and minor creasing is part of its character.

IMPORTANT ORDERING NOTES

Each curtain is made according to the selected and personalised specifications.

Please check all measurements before ordering.

The selected width and height refer to each individual curtain panel.

A pair includes two panels in the selected size.

Each 100-inch-wide panel contains a carefully finished centre joining seam.

Unlined curtains are semi-sheer.

The organic cotton lining makes the curtains opaque while continuing to filter light.

The OEKO-TEX certified blackout lining blocks light completely through the covered fabric area.

The heading style and liner choice must be written in the order details email.

Custom-size buyers should select the next larger standard size and enter the exact finished measurements.

Natural linen slubs and small yarn variations are normal characteristics of pure linen.

Slight colour differences may occur between screens, lighting conditions and separate production batches.
