Red Navy Blue Grey & White Pure Linen Curtains, Printed Ticking Stripe Farmhouse Drapes, Custom Blackout or Light Filtering Panels
RED, NAVY BLUE, GREY AND WHITE PURE LINEN CURTAINS – PRINTED TICKING STRIPE FARMHOUSE DRAPES
Bring cheerful colour, classic ticking-stripe character and the unmistakable natural texture of pure linen to your windows with these substantial custom-made curtain panels.
The fabric combines a warm white to soft ivory linen ground with vertical printed stripes in cherry red, deep navy blue and cool dove grey. Alternating bold and slender bands create a lively yet orderly pattern inspired by traditional mattress ticking, vintage French textiles and striped grain-sack fabric.
These curtains work beautifully in farmhouse, country, coastal, nautical, cottage, Americana, traditional and relaxed contemporary interiors. Their red, navy, grey and ivory palette is colourful enough to create a statement while remaining structured and timeless.
Each curtain is individually made to order and may be purchased as one single panel or as a coordinated pair/set of two. Choose an unlined semi-sheer finish, an organic cotton light-filtering liner for complete opacity and additional privacy, or an OEKO-TEX certified blackout liner for complete darkness through the covered fabric.
DETAILED COLOUR DESCRIPTION
The main fabric ground is a gently warm white rather than a cold optical white. Depending on the room lighting, it may appear as:
• Warm white
• Soft ivory
• Natural white
• Light cream
• Pale flax white
The vertical printed stripes include:
• Bright cherry red
• Lipstick red
• Classic country red
• Deep navy blue
• Indigo navy
• Cool dove grey
• Soft silver grey
• Blue grey
The strongest colors are cherry red and navy blue. The dove-grey bands soften the contrast and help the fabric coordinate with grey, blue, white and neutral furnishings.
The overall colour impression is:
WARM WHITE + CHERRY RED + DEEP NAVY BLUE + DOVE GREY
Actual colors may vary slightly according to photography, screen calibration, surrounding décor and the temperature of the room lighting. A warm bulb may make the ivory ground and red stripes look warmer, while cool daylight may make the navy and grey bands appear more prominent.
If you need to coordinate the curtains with a particular paint, wallpaper, rug or upholstery fabric, ordering a fabric swatch before purchasing the finished curtains is recommended.
PRINTED TICKING-STRIPE PATTERN
This is a printed vertical stripe rather than embroidery or a raised jacquard weave.
The repeating pattern contains several stripe widths:
• Wide cherry-red bands
• Slender red pinstripes
• Wide deep-navy bands
• Narrow navy accents
• Medium dove-grey bands
• Fine grey lines
• Generous warm-white spaces between the coloured stripes
The alternation of wide, medium and narrow lines keeps the pattern from appearing mechanically uniform. Narrow red pinstripes add delicate detail between the stronger coloured bands, while the wider navy stripes introduce visual depth.
The complete pattern runs vertically down the curtain, visually drawing the eye upward and helping windows and ceilings appear taller. This makes the fabric particularly effective for extra-long curtains and full-height window treatments.
From across the room, the design reads as a clean red, white and blue striped curtain. Viewed closely, the additional dove-grey lines and varied stripe widths become more apparent.
Although the red, white and navy palette can complement patriotic or Americana interiors, the design does not contain flags, stars or seasonal motifs. It can therefore remain installed throughout the year.
PURE LINEN FACE FABRIC
These curtains are made from thick, heavy and luxurious pure linen face fabric.
The linen has a naturally visible woven structure and enough substance to form generous, graceful folds. It is considerably more structured than lightweight linen gauze or voile and is intended to look like a premium decorative drapery fabric.
The supplied face-fabric weight is 403 grams per linear metre at a fabric width of 54 inches. Converted by area, this is approximately 294 GSM.
This weight refers only to the main pure linen face fabric. The finished curtain becomes heavier and more substantial when an organic cotton or blackout liner is added.
Genuine linen naturally contains small slubs, yarn variations, occasional knots and minor changes in weave density. These characteristics are part of linen’s organic appearance and are not manufacturing defects.
The combination of natural linen texture and precisely arranged printed stripes creates a curtain that feels traditional without looking overly formal.
LINING AND PRIVACY OPTIONS
Please choose one of the following three options and enter it in the order details email.
1. UNLINED
The unlined curtain retains the most natural linen movement and allows softly filtered daylight to enter the room.
Because the fabric is unlined, it should be considered semi-sheer. It provides a useful degree of daytime privacy while maintaining a light and airy appearance.
Privacy changes according to the strength and direction of the light. At night, when the room is illuminated from inside, silhouettes or shapes may be visible from outdoors. Choose a lined option if complete opacity or strong nighttime privacy is required.
2. ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER
The organic cotton liner allows soft, diffused daylight into the room while adding body, privacy and protection to the main linen fabric.
With this liner, the curtain becomes completely opaque for privacy. The liner also gives the finished panel a fuller and more structured drape.
This option is especially suitable for:
• Living rooms
• Dining rooms
• Kitchens
• Home offices
• Guest bedrooms
• Children’s rooms
• Nurseries
• Street-facing windows where privacy is important
The organic cotton lining is the best choice when you want natural light without the semi-sheer quality of an unlined curtain.
3. 100% BLACKOUT LINER
For maximum darkness, choose the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified blackout polycotton liner.
The liner is composed of 50% cotton and 50% polyester and is designed to block light completely through the curtain fabric.
It is suitable for:
• Bedrooms
• Nurseries
• Media or television rooms
• Shift workers
• Light-sensitive sleepers
• Rooms receiving strong morning or afternoon sunlight
• Spaces where complete darkness is preferred
Although the liner blocks light through the covered fabric, a small amount of light may enter around the top, sides or bottom depending on the curtain installation.
For the darkest possible result, mount the rod or track above and beyond the window frame, use adequate curtain fullness and allow the curtain to extend past both sides of the window.
SINGLE PANEL OR PAIR
These curtains are available as:
• One individual curtain panel
• One pair/set of two matching curtain panels
Please check the quantity option carefully before ordering.
Every width and length shown in the listing refers to the finished flat measurement of each individual panel, not the combined measurement of a pair.
For example:
• One 50-inch-wide curtain = one panel measuring 50 inches flat
• A pair of 50-inch-wide curtains = two panels, each measuring 50 inches flat
• Combined flat width of that pair = 100 inches
The fabric is gathered or pleated only after installation. The listed width is not the width of window that the curtain is automatically intended to cover.
STANDARD WIDTH OPTIONS
• 50 inches wide — approximately 127 cm
• 100 inches wide — approximately 254 cm
The width is measured across one finished curtain panel while it is laid completely flat.
IMPORTANT 100-INCH PANEL CONSTRUCTION
The usable fabric width is approximately 50 inches. Therefore, every 100-inch-wide curtain panel must be made by joining two approximately 50-inch widths of fabric.
A vertical joining seam will be present near the middle of each 100-inch-wide panel.
The stripe positioning will be aligned as carefully as the fabric repeat permits. Once the finished curtain is installed, gathered and hanging in natural folds, the joining seam is generally barely visible.
This construction applies to every individual 100-inch panel. If you order a pair of 100-inch-wide curtains, both panels will contain their own discreet joining seam.
STANDARD LENGTH OPTIONS
The following finished lengths are available:
• 36 inches — approximately 91 cm
• 48 inches — approximately 122 cm
• 60 inches — approximately 152 cm
• 72 inches — approximately 183 cm
• 84 inches — approximately 213 cm
• 96 inches — approximately 244 cm
• 108 inches — approximately 274 cm
• 120 inches — approximately 305 cm
• 132 inches — approximately 335 cm
• 144 inches — approximately 366 cm
• 156 inches — approximately 396 cm
• 168 inches — approximately 427 cm
• 180 inches — approximately 457 cm
This extensive selection accommodates short windows, standard windows, patio doors, tall ceilings, double-height rooms and dramatic floor-to-ceiling installations.
CUSTOM WIDTHS AND LENGTHS
Custom measurements are welcome.
If your required measurement is not shown:
1. Select the next available standard size larger than the exact finished size you require.
2. Enter your required finished width and length in the order details email.
3. State whether the measurement applies to each panel or to the combined pair.
4. Include the heading style and liner choice in the same personalization message.
Example:
“Pair of curtains. Make each panel exactly 47 inches wide × 91 inches long. Back Tabs. Organic Cotton Liner.”
If you need a measurement larger than the biggest listing option, please contact us before ordering so that the construction and pricing can be confirmed.
AVAILABLE HEADING STYLES
Choose one of the following four curtain headings:
HOOKS TOP
A curtain heading tape is sewn onto the back of the panel for use with curtain hooks. This option is compatible with both curtain rods and curtain tracks and creates a tailored, versatile appearance.
BACK TABS
Fabric loops are sewn discreetly onto the back of the heading. The curtain rod passes through the concealed tabs, keeping most of the rod hidden and forming clean, evenly spaced folds.
ROD POCKET
A sewn channel at the top of the curtain allows the rod to pass directly through the fabric. This creates a relaxed gathered appearance particularly well suited to farmhouse, cottage and country interiors.
GROMMETS
Metal eyelets are installed across the upper portion of the curtain. The rod passes through the grommets to form broad contemporary folds and allow the panel to move easily.
Curtain rods, tracks, rings and other installation hardware are not included unless the listing specifically states otherwise.
PERSONALIZATION REQUIREMENTS
Please enter the following information in the order details email:
• Heading: Hooks Top, Back Tabs, Rod Pocket or Grommets
• Liner: Unlined, Organic Cotton Liner or Blackout Liner
• Exact finished measurements if ordering a customized size
• Any other relevant installation information
Example for a standard-size order:
“Hooks Top / Blackout Liner / Standard selected size.”
Example for a custom order:
“Rod Pocket / Unlined / Make each panel exactly 43 inches wide × 77 inches long.”
Missing personalization information may delay production while we contact you for clarification.
CHOOSING THE CORRECT WIDTH AND FULLNESS
For curtains to appear softly gathered when closed, the combined flat curtain width should generally be approximately 1.5 times the width of the rod or track.
For a fuller, more luxurious appearance, use approximately twice the rod or track width.
Examples:
• 60-inch rod: approximately 90–120 inches of combined flat curtain width
• 80-inch rod: approximately 120–160 inches of combined flat curtain width
• 100-inch rod: approximately 150–200 inches of combined flat curtain width
A pair of 50-inch panels supplies 100 inches of combined flat fabric width. A pair of 100-inch panels supplies 200 inches of combined flat fabric width.
Measure the complete rod or track rather than only the glass. If you are uncertain about the quantity or panel width, please contact us with the rod measurement, desired length and preferred heading before ordering.
CUSTOM CAFÉ CURTAINS
This striped pure linen fabric can also be made into custom café curtains, kitchen curtains, window tiers or short privacy panels.
Café curtains cover the lower section of the window while leaving the upper section open for daylight. They are especially suitable for:
• Farmhouse kitchens
• Breakfast rooms
• Pantry windows
• Cottage bathrooms
• Laundry rooms
• Kitchen doors
• Informal dining spaces
• Nursery or playroom windows
The red, navy, grey and white ticking stripe gives café curtains a cheerful vintage farmhouse appearance.
For café curtains, choose the next listed size above your required dimensions and enter the exact finished measurements in the order details email. Include the words “café curtain,” together with your selected heading and lining option.
The 36-inch and 48-inch standard lengths work well for many café-curtain applications, but shorter custom lengths can also be made.
ROOMS AND DECORATING STYLES
These multicolour striped linen curtains complement:
• Modern farmhouse interiors
• French country rooms
• Rustic country homes
• Coastal cottages
• Nautical bedrooms
• Americana-inspired décor
• Lake houses
• Beach houses
• Traditional children’s bedrooms
• Colourful nurseries
• Farmhouse kitchens
• Casual living rooms
• Guest bedrooms
• Home offices
• Dining rooms
• Cottage bathrooms
The deep navy coordinates naturally with denim, indigo, blue-grey paint and coastal accessories. Cherry red works with brick, cranberry, burgundy and classic country-red accents. Dove grey connects the stronger colours with neutral upholstery, weathered wood and modern grey finishes.
The warm-white ground pairs well with white oak, natural pine, walnut, rattan, painted furniture, black iron, aged brass and warm ivory walls.
PATTERN PLACEMENT AND PAIRS
Because every curtain is cut from a larger repeating fabric design, the exact stripe position at the left and right edges may vary slightly from the photographed sample.
For pairs, we make reasonable efforts to coordinate the stripe placement so that the curtains appear balanced when installed together.
On 100-inch panels, the stripe pattern will be aligned across the center joining seam as closely as the fabric repeat and available material permit. Minor variations are normal in individually cut, custom-made textile products.
CARE
Professional dry cleaning is recommended, particularly for lined curtains and extra-large panels.
Avoid harsh bleach, aggressive spot treatments, vigorous rubbing and high heat. Linen can shrink when washed or dried at unsuitable temperatures.
If minor creases occur during shipping, allow the curtains to hang naturally before attempting treatment. Use a steamer cautiously from the reverse side at a suitable temperature, avoiding direct prolonged heat on the printed surface.
