HOW TO MEASURE FOR AN INSIDE-RECESS ROMAN SHADE

An inside-recess Roman shade is fitted within the window opening. This installation provides a clean, streamlined appearance and leaves the surrounding window trim visible.

1. Use a rigid steel measuring tape rather than a flexible fabric tape.

2. Measure the internal width of the window recess in three places: across the top, middle and bottom.

3. Use the narrowest of the three width measurements.

4. Measure the internal height of the recess in three places: on the left, in the center and on the right.
