CHOOSE YOUR LINING

Organic cotton light-filtering lining

Choose this option for softened daylight and added privacy. The organic cotton liner adds a backing layer while allowing some light to filter through. The thick velvet face fabric also influences how much light enters, so this option should not be expected to look sheer or brightly translucent.

100% blackout polycotton lining

Choose this option for maximum light blocking through the lined fabric. The blackout liner contains 50% cotton and 50% polyester and is OEKO-TEX certified, tested for harmful substances.

The 100% blackout rating refers to light passing through the lining itself. Light may still enter around the sides, top or bottom of an installed shade, depending on the fit and mounting position. An outside mount with sufficient overlap can help reduce light around the edges.

Choose the width and height ranges that cover your required measurements. If a fractional measurement falls between two listed brackets, select the next bracket up rather than rounding your measurement down.

Measurements can be supplied in inches or centimetres. Clearly state which unit you are using.

HOW TO MEASURE FOR AN INSIDE MOUNT

An inside mount fits the Roman blind within the window recess.

1. Use a metal tape measure to measure the internal recess width at the top, where the shade will be fitted.

2. Check the width at the middle and bottom as well. If the recess becomes narrower, include those measurements in your order notes so the fit can be checked.

3. Measure the height from the inside top of the recess to the point where you want the shade to finish.

4. Check for window handles, inward-opening windows, tiles or other obstructions that may affect installation.

5. Enter your exact recess width and height and write “Inside mount” in the order details email. Label these as recess measurements and do not subtract a fitting allowance yourself.

If you are supplying a specific finished blind size instead, clearly label it “Finished blind size” to avoid confusion.

HOW TO MEASURE FOR AN OUTSIDE MOUNT

An outside mount positions the Roman blind above and beyond the window recess.

1. Measure the width of the window recess.

2. Add approximately 2 inches / 5.08 cm on each side, giving 4 inches / 10.16 cm of total additional width. This provides overlap beyond the recess.

3. Choose your fitting point above the window, typically around 4 inches / 10.16 cm above the recess, subject to available space and window clearance.

4. Measure from that fitting point down to your desired bottom edge. This is your required finished shade height.

5. Enter the finished width and height, including your chosen overlap, and write “Outside mount” in the order details email.

Check that there is enough space above the window for the raised folds, especially if the window opens inward.

INSTALLATION HARDWARE INCLUDED

Your order includes:

• Clamps for fitting inside the window recess.
• Separate clamps for fitting outside the window recess.
• Screws.

Both types of mounting clamps are supplied. Use the clamps appropriate to your installation. Any additional wall plugs or specialist fixings must be suitable for your wall or ceiling surface.

COLOUR AND FINISH

The main colours are muted powder blue and sage green, with dusty mauve and lilac accents on a pale blue-white background. Screen settings, room lighting and the direction of the velvet pile can influence how the colours appear.

Window-covering cords can pose a strangulation hazard. Cordless window coverings are recommended for homes where young children are present, including nurseries and children’s bedrooms. This product is corded; its fabric certification does not make the operating mechanism child-safe.
