COLOURS AND PATTERN

The design features a whimsical collage of postage-stamp shapes on a pale off-white ground with a delicate blue-green cast. Powder blue and dusty blue sit alongside muted sage green, pale mint, soft lilac and touches of dusty mauve. Small cream-white flowers and subtle grey-taupe details complete the gentle pastel palette.

Scalloped stamp borders frame ribbon bows, butterflies, tulips, little flowering sprigs, smiling daisies and musical-note characters. Small printed numbers add to the nostalgic postage-stamp appearance.

The patchwork-style design is printed onto the velvet; the individual illustrated squares are not separate pieces of fabric sewn together.

FABRIC AND FEEL

Made from thick, substantial velvet with a soft matte appearance, these curtains bring texture and a gently structured drape to the window.

The face fabric weighs approximately 294 gsm, excluding any added lining. This is calculated from 403 grams per linear metre at a fabric width of 54 inches.

The velvet surface may appear slightly lighter or darker as the pile catches the light and the fabric falls into folds.

CHOOSE YOUR LINING

Unlined:
Enjoy the velvet face fabric without an additional liner. This option offers a semi-sheer, light-filtering privacy effect, allowing some daylight through. It is not blackout, and privacy will vary with indoor and outdoor lighting.

Organic cotton light-filtering lining:
An organic cotton liner adds privacy and makes the curtain opaque while allowing softly diffused daylight into the room. Choose this option when you want a lined curtain without full blackout.

100% blackout lining:
An OEKO-TEX certified polycotton blackout liner blocks light passing through the lined fabric. This option is suited to bedrooms and nurseries where stronger light control is preferred.

For the darkest result, choose sufficient curtain width and coverage around the window. Light can still enter around the top, sides or bottom depending on the installation.

SINGLE PANEL OR PAIR

Choose the quantity that suits your window:

• Single panel: one curtain panel.
• Pair / set of 2: two curtain panels.

The selected width and height apply to each individual panel.

For example:
• A pair of 50-inch-wide panels provides 100 inches of combined flat fabric width.
• A pair of 100-inch-wide panels provides 200 inches of combined flat fabric width.

These are flat fabric widths before gathering. The width covered after hanging will depend on the fullness and heading style.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT 100-INCH-WIDE PANELS

Each 100-inch-wide curtain is made by joining two 50-inch panels. This creates a vertical seam in the middle, which is barely visible once the curtains are installed and arranged into folds.

FOUR HEADING STYLES

Hooks top:
Compatible with curtain rods using suitable rings and with curtain tracks using suitable gliders. A versatile option for gathered drapes.

Back tabs:
Tabs on the back slide over the curtain rod, giving the front a clean appearance with softly formed folds.

Rod pockets:
The curtain rod passes through a sewn pocket at the top for a softly gathered look.

Grommets:
Metal eyelets slide over the curtain rod and create defined folds.

CUSTOM SIZES

We can make these velvet curtains to your required dimensions.

For a custom size:

1. Measure the finished width and height you need for each panel.
2. Select the next available size up so that the purchased width and height cover your requested dimensions.
3. Enter the exact finished width × height for EACH panel in the order details email.
4. Include your heading style and lining choice.
5. State whether your measurements are in inches or centimetres.

For example, if you need each panel to measure 47 inches wide × 90 inches high, select 50 × 96 inches and request a finished size of 47 × 90 inches per panel.

If ordering a pair, please make clear that your measurements are per panel, rather than the combined width of both curtains.

HOW TO MEASURE

Measure the curtain rod or track width and consider how full you want the curtains to look when closed. Allow additional fabric width for gathering rather than ordering only the exact window width.

Measure the finished drop from the appropriate hanging point for your chosen heading to the position where you want the curtain to end.

For hooks top curtains, account for the position of your hooks, rings or track gliders. For rod pockets, back tabs and grommets, account for the position of the rod and the curtain top.

CAFE CURTAINS AND SHORT PANELS

We can also make cafe curtains in this same pastel velvet fabric.

Custom cafe curtains are a lovely option for smaller windows, breakfast nooks or a playful kitchen scheme. A half-window style can cover the lower portion of the window while leaving the upper section open to daylight.

Blackout performance applies to the blackout-lined option only. Unlined and cotton-lined curtains allow different amounts of light through.
