Oatmeal Beige & Ivory Pure Linen Curtains, Printed Herringbone Plaid Farmhouse Drapes, Custom Blackout or Light Filtering Panels
OATMEAL BEIGE & IVORY PURE LINEN CURTAINS – PRINTED HERRINGBONE PLAID FARMHOUSE DRAPES
Bring soft natural color, substantial linen texture and understated farmhouse character to your windows with these custom-made thick and heavy pure linen curtains.
The fabric features a beautifully subtle tone-on-tone plaid-stripe design in warm ivory, oatmeal beige, natural flax, pale sand and light taupe.
Broad and narrow vertical bands intersect with softly irregular horizontal sections, creating an oversized broken windowpane pattern. Fine herringbone-style chevrons appear within many of the bands, adding quiet decorative detail without making the curtains look busy or strongly patterned.
From across the room, the curtains appear as a calm natural oatmeal and ivory textile. When viewed more closely, the large plaid structure, layered stripes, small chevron markings and organic linen surface become more visible.
The low-contrast neutral palette makes these curtains particularly versatile for modern farmhouse, organic-modern, quiet-luxury, French country, cottage, Scandinavian, Japandi-inspired, rustic, minimalist, transitional and relaxed contemporary interiors.
DETAILED COLOR DESCRIPTION
The lightest areas of the fabric read as:
• Warm ivory
• Natural cream
• Soft ecru
• Undyed flax
• Pale oatmeal
• Natural linen
The softly contrasting printed sections include:
• Oatmeal beige
• Light sand
• Pale camel
• Flax beige
• Light taupe
• Warm greige
• Mushroom cream
• Biscuit beige
The overall color is warm and natural rather than stark white. The ivory has a subtle creamy or flax-toned quality, while the beige sections remain light and muted.
The strongest overall color impression is:
WARM IVORY + OATMEAL BEIGE + NATURAL FLAX
with delicate supporting tones of:
PALE SAND + LIGHT TAUPE + ECRU + SOFT CAMEL
Because the colors are deliberately tonal, the pattern can appear more or less prominent depending on the angle and strength of the light.
DETAILED PATTERN DESCRIPTION
The pattern is best described as a combination of:
• Oversized plaid
• Broken windowpane check
• Herringbone stripe
• Irregular farmhouse stripe
• Tone-on-tone geometric check
• Neutral abstract plaid
Wide oatmeal and pale taupe vertical bands form the main structure of the design. Several are accompanied by narrower parallel stripes separated by slim ivory lines.
These vertical sections intersect with horizontal bands containing repeated V-shaped or zigzag chevrons. The chevron markings create a fine herringbone effect inside the larger plaid framework.
Some sections are almost plain ivory, while others contain pale beige or oatmeal shading. This produces a soft layered effect rather than a hard two-color check.
The pattern edges are intentionally gentle and slightly irregular instead of perfectly sharp and mechanical. This softly weathered quality complements the natural texture of the pure linen.
This is not a conventional two-color buffalo check, small gingham, tartan or standard ticking stripe. It is a larger and more artistic herringbone plaid-stripe pattern with a subtle tonal appearance.
Please note that the decorative pattern is PRINTED onto the pure linen. It is not embroidered, tufted, appliquéd or raised. The visible herringbone effect forms part of the printed artwork.
PURE LINEN FACE FABRIC
• Face fabric: Pure linen
• Fabric character: Thick, heavy and substantial
• Surface: Naturally textured with visible fibers and linen slubs
• Pattern technique: Printed
• Supplied weight: 403 grams per linear meter
• Supplied fabric width: 54 inches
• Converted fabric weight: Approximately 294 GSM
The GSM conversion is calculated as follows:
54 inches = 1.3716 meters
403 grams ÷ 1.3716 square meters = approximately 293.8 GSM
The pure linen face fabric is therefore listed as approximately 294 GSM.
This is substantial linen rather than lightweight linen voile. It has enough body to form rich vertical folds while retaining the relaxed movement and organic surface associated with genuine linen.
Natural linen may contain small slubs, knots, fibers, subtle yarn-thickness variations and minor irregularities in its woven surface. These are normal characteristics of genuine linen and should not be considered defects.
SINGLE CURTAIN OR PAIR
These curtains are available to purchase as:
• One single curtain panel
• One pair or set of two matching curtain panels
Every size shown refers to the finished dimensions of ONE INDIVIDUAL CURTAIN PANEL unless the selected option specifically states that it includes a pair or set of two.
For example:
• Single 50 × 96 inches means one curtain measuring 50 inches wide × 96 inches long
• Pair 50 × 96 inches means two curtains, each measuring 50 inches wide × 96 inches long
Please check the selected quantity carefully before completing your order.
AVAILABLE WIDTHS
Each individual curtain panel is available in:
• 50 inches wide — approximately 127 cm
• 100 inches wide — approximately 254 cm
The selected width is the flat finished width of one individual panel before gathering or arranging it into folds.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR 100-INCH-WIDE PANELS
The face fabric is produced in approximately 50-inch usable widths. Every 100-inch-wide curtain panel will therefore be constructed by professionally joining two 50-inch fabric widths.
This creates one vertical joining seam near the middle of the finished curtain.
The pattern will be aligned across the seam as carefully as the fabric repeat permits. Once the curtain is installed and arranged into natural folds, the central seam is generally barely visible.
Please order the 100-inch-wide option only if you accept this necessary construction detail.
AVAILABLE HEIGHTS
Standard finished curtain lengths are available from 36 inches to 180 inches in 12-inch increments:
• 36 inches — approximately 91 cm
• 48 inches — approximately 122 cm
• 60 inches — approximately 152 cm
• 72 inches — approximately 183 cm
• 84 inches — approximately 213 cm
• 96 inches — approximately 244 cm
• 108 inches — approximately 274 cm
• 120 inches — approximately 305 cm
• 132 inches — approximately 335 cm
• 144 inches — approximately 366 cm
• 156 inches — approximately 396 cm
• 168 inches — approximately 427 cm
• 180 inches — approximately 457 cm
This extensive range includes short window curtains, standard floor-length panels and extra-long curtains for tall windows, patio doors, French doors, high ceilings and double-height rooms.
CUSTOM CURTAIN SIZES
Custom widths and lengths are welcome.
If your exact required measurements are not listed, please select the next available standard size UP from the dimensions you require. Enter your exact finished width and finished length in the order details email.
Example:
If you require a curtain measuring 50 inches wide × 90 inches long, select the 50 × 96-inch option and write:
“Exact finished size required: 50 inches wide × 90 inches long.”
Please do not select a standard option smaller than your required dimensions.
If a custom width exceeds the usable face-fabric width, one or more discreet joins may be required. Please contact us before ordering if you need help selecting the correct size.
FOUR HEADING STYLES
Choose from four curtain-top styles:
1. HOOKS TOP
The hooks-compatible top works with both curtain rods and curtain tracks.
For rod installation, attach the hooks to suitable curtain rings. For track installation, attach the hooks to compatible track carriers.
Hooks Top creates a neat, versatile appearance and is particularly suitable for bay-window tracks, large windows and curtains that will be opened and closed regularly.
2. BACK TABS
Hidden fabric tabs are sewn onto the back of the curtain header. The rod passes through these concealed tabs, producing soft folds without visible rings or grommets on the front.
Back tabs create a clean, relaxed finish well suited to farmhouse, organic-modern and minimalist interiors.
3. ROD POCKET
A fabric channel is sewn across the top of the curtain, allowing the rod to pass directly through the pocket.
Rod-pocket curtains create a softly gathered, casual appearance ideal for farmhouse bedrooms, cottage living rooms, kitchens and decorative windows.
4. GROMMETS
Metal eyelets are fitted across the curtain header, allowing the rod to pass directly through them.
Grommets produce structured, evenly spaced folds and allow the curtain to move easily along the rod. Please contact us before ordering if a particular grommet color or finish is essential.
LINING OPTIONS
Choose from three finishing options:
1. UNLINED – SEMI-SHEER PRIVACY CURTAIN
Unlined pure linen gently filters natural daylight and shows the linen texture and tonal printed pattern most clearly.
The fabric offers a degree of daytime privacy but remains naturally semi-sheer. Strong light, shapes or silhouettes may be visible, particularly after dark when interior lights are switched on.
Choose unlined curtains if you prefer:
• Maximum natural linen character
• Softly filtered daylight
• Relaxed and lighter folds
• A semi-sheer appearance
• Moderate daytime privacy
Unlined curtains should not be relied upon for complete nighttime privacy.
2. ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER
The organic cotton liner adds body, privacy and opacity while allowing softly diffused natural light into the room.
This lining makes the finished curtains completely opaque under normal household conditions. It is ideal when additional privacy is required without creating complete darkness.
Choose the organic cotton liner for:
• Living rooms
• Dining rooms
• Family rooms
• Home offices
• Guest bedrooms
• Nurseries requiring gentle daylight
• Street-facing windows
• Everyday daytime and nighttime privacy
The organic cotton option is light filtering rather than blackout. Daylight will still create a soft glow through the finished curtain.
3. 100% BLACKOUT OEKO-TEX CERTIFIED POLYCOTTON LINER
Choose the blackout liner when complete light blockage through the curtain fabric is required.
The blackout-grade liner is made from OEKO-TEX certified polycotton composed of 50% cotton and 50% polyester. It blocks light completely through the body of the lined curtain.
This option is particularly suitable for:
• Primary bedrooms
• Children’s bedrooms
• Nurseries
• Media rooms
• Home cinemas
• Night-shift sleeping spaces
• Rooms facing streetlights
• Windows receiving strong morning sunlight
As with any blackout window treatment, a small amount of light can enter around the top, bottom or sides if gaps remain between the curtain and the wall.
For the darkest possible result, allow the curtains to extend sufficiently above and beyond the window frame and order generous combined curtain width.

MEASURING AND FULLNESS GUIDANCE
The selected width is the flat finished width of each individual curtain panel before gathering.
For an attractive gathered appearance, the combined flat width of the curtains should generally be greater than the width of the rod or track.
Approximately 1.5 to 2 times the rod or track width is commonly used, depending on the selected heading and desired fullness.
Example:
For an 80-inch-wide rod, a pair of 50-inch-wide curtains provides 100 inches of combined flat width. This gives approximately 1.25 times fullness and a relatively relaxed appearance.
For deeper and more luxurious folds, greater combined width may be preferable.
Measure the length from the correct hanging point for your selected heading to the desired finishing position.
Possible finishing positions include:
• At the window sill
• Below the sill
• Just above the floor
• Touching the floor
• With a slight floor break
• Puddled onto the floor
If you need assistance, send us your rod or track width, required drop, preferred heading and desired fullness before ordering.
PATTERN PLACEMENT
The exact placement of the subtle herringbone plaid will vary according to the selected panel dimensions and the section of fabric used.
When a pair is ordered together, the two panels will be coordinated as closely as reasonably possible. Exact mirror-image pattern placement cannot be guaranteed.
On 100-inch-wide panels, the printed design will be aligned across the central joining seam as carefully as the repeat permits.
COLOR DISCLAIMER
The photographed fabric appears as a soft combination of warm ivory, natural oatmeal, flax beige, pale sand, light taupe and soft camel.
Its appearance may change according to:
• Natural daylight
• Warm or cool artificial lighting
• Surrounding wall colors
• Screen brightness
• Device calibration
• Camera exposure
• Individual color perception
Because the pattern is deliberately low contrast, it may appear more subtle in bright daylight and slightly more defined in directional or lower light.
We strongly recommend purchasing a physical fabric swatch before ordering if an exact color match is essential.
