Widths shown are flat fabric widths per curtain, before gathering or pleating.

Measure for your curtains

Enter your width and height together, then apply your measurements.

Size-dropdown widths are flat fabric widths per curtain.

A gathered curtain covers less space than its flat fabric width. Choose fullness below; Grommet/Eyelet and Pinch pleats always need 2× your coverage width.

This selection also updates Heading style on the product page.

Choose your fullness

Multiply the rod / track coverage by your fullness, then divide by the number of curtains.

Photorealistic fullness examples; actual folds vary with fabric and heading.

Measure the usable span of your installed rod or track, from one end of the curtain coverage to the other. Exclude decorative finials.

A pair contains two curtains. The flat fabric width you order is per curtain, not the combined pair. Choosing a curtain count here updates Panel quantity on the product page.

Enter the full measured drop. For Hooks top only, we subtract 1 in (2.54 cm) because the curtain hangs slightly below the rod. Do not deduct it yourself.

Finished curtain height to orderEnter the height you measured above.

Apply your measurements

We select the exact available flat-width × finished-height size, or the closest larger size fitting both dimensions. For a larger size, your exact request is added to Custom sizes / requirements, preserving your own notes. Your curtain-count choice also updates Panel quantity on the product page.

Review your heading and fullness before applying. This updates your selected size but does not add anything to your cart.

How to measure · illustrations and examples

Measure the space your curtains will cover

Measure the usable span of your installed rod or track, from one end of the curtain coverage to the other. Exclude decorative finials.

Measure the usable rod or track span—not the window glass or decorative finials.

Example: a 100 in (254 cm) rod, two curtains and 2× fullness need 100 in (254 cm) flat width per curtain.

Flat fabric width before gathering or pleating—not the hanging coverage.

Measure from the top of the rod to your chosen bottom

Measure straight down from the top of your installed curtain rod to where you want the curtains to end. For a track, use the top of the installed track.

Start at the top of the rod or track. Stop at your chosen bottom.

NAVY BLUE, TAUPE & IVORY PRINTED PURE LINEN CURTAINS – GEOMETRIC CHECK FARMHOUSE WINDOW DRAPES

Bring rich colour, substantial pure-linen texture and bold farmhouse pattern to your windows with these custom-made navy blue, taupe and ivory printed linen curtains.

The fabric features a distinctive geometric check composed of deep indigo–navy bands, warm mushroom-taupe squares and smaller natural-ivory inset blocks.

Wide navy horizontal and vertical bands intersect across the fabric, forming a strong repeating windowpane grid.

Inside each navy-framed compartment is a warm taupe or mushroom-beige square.

A smaller ivory block overlaps the upper-left section of each taupe square, creating a layered, stepped and offset-square effect.

This unusual arrangement gives the fabric the recognisable character of farmhouse plaid, buffalo check and gingham curtains while remaining more distinctive than a conventional two-colour checkerboard.

The result is bold, structured and graphic, yet still warm and inviting because the colours are softened by the visible natural texture of the pure linen.

OVERALL COLOUR IMPRESSION

The complete colour palette can be summarised as:

INDIGO NAVY BLUE + DEEP DENIM BLUE + MUSHROOM TAUPE + WARM BEIGE + NATURAL IVORY

The dominant colour is a rich, saturated navy blue.

Depending on the lighting and surrounding furnishings, the darkest printed areas may also appear as:

• Indigo blue
• Deep denim blue
• Midnight blue
• Ink blue
• Dark royal blue
• Navy blue
• Weathered marine blue
• Deep cobalt-navy
• Vintage workwear blue
• Dark sapphire blue

The navy is not a flat synthetic-looking colour.

The natural linen weave remains visible through the print, producing fine lighter fibres and subtle denim-like tonal variation throughout the blue sections.

From a normal viewing distance, the colour reads as deep navy.

When viewed more closely, the woven texture introduces softer blue, charcoal-blue and pale fibre highlights.

The secondary square blocks are a warm neutral shade that may be described as:

• Mushroom taupe
• Warm greige
• Natural beige
• Putty beige
• Oatmeal taupe
• Pale stone
• Light mocha
• Dusty fawn
• Soft flax-beige

These areas sit between taupe, beige and warm grey.

They are not strongly brown, yellow or pink.

The smallest inset blocks are:

• Natural ivory
• Warm off-white
• Soft cream
• Pale oatmeal
• Unbleached white

The ivory is softer and warmer than a bright optical white.

Together, the navy, taupe and ivory create a classic but unusual colour combination that works with both warm and cool interiors.

DETAILED PATTERN DESCRIPTION

The complete printed design contains:

• Wide vertical navy bands
• Wide horizontal navy bands
• Large repeating square compartments
• Warm taupe blocks within each compartment
• Smaller offset ivory squares
• Layered and nested geometric forms
• A large-scale windowpane grid
• Soft colour variation from the underlying linen weave

The pattern can accurately be described as:

• Geometric check
• Windowpane check
• Nested-square pattern
• Offset-square design
• Layered block print
• Modern farmhouse plaid
• Buffalo-check-inspired print
• Gingham-inspired check
• Repeating geometric grid
• Navy and neutral plaid
• Retro block pattern
• Large-scale checkered design

Although buffalo check, plaid and gingham are useful buyer-facing search terms, this fabric is not a standard two-colour buffalo check.

Traditional buffalo check usually consists of alternating equal squares created by intersecting bands of colour.

This design is more complex because each navy-framed compartment contains a taupe square and a smaller ivory inset block.

“Geometric windowpane check” or “nested-square farmhouse check” therefore provides the most precise visual description.

The distinctive block arrangement makes the fabric suitable for customers who enjoy classic check curtains but want something less ordinary than standard gingham.

PRINTED PURE LINEN

The complete geometric pattern is professionally printed onto the pure linen face fabric.

It is not embroidered.

It is not appliquéd.

It is not a raised jacquard design.

It is not a traditional yarn-dyed woven check.

The navy, taupe and ivory colours are printed directly into the surface of the linen while allowing the natural woven structure to remain visible.

This relationship between the print and linen weave gives the fabric depth and an organic textile character.

Unlike a completely smooth synthetic printed cloth, the colour may appear slightly lighter over raised yarns and small linen slubs.

This is a natural consequence of printing onto genuine textured linen and contributes to the relaxed designer-fabric appearance.

THICK AND HEAVY PURE LINEN

The face fabric is made from thick and heavy pure linen.

The supplied fabric weight is 403 grams per linear metre at a width of 54 inches.

A fabric width of 54 inches equals approximately 1.3716 metres.

The corresponding weight per square metre is therefore:

403 ÷ 1.3716 = approximately 294 GSM

The pure linen face fabric is approximately 294 GSM.

GSM means grams per square metre and provides a standardised indication of fabric weight.

At approximately 294 GSM, this is a substantial decorative curtain linen rather than a thin linen voile or very lightweight gauze.

The heavier construction gives the curtains:

• Substantial body
• A luxurious tactile feel
• Attractive vertical folds
• A more structured drape
• Greater visual presence
• A premium designer-textile appearance

Despite its substantial weight, the unlined fabric can still appear semi-sheer when strong daylight passes through the natural spaces between the linen yarns.

AUTHENTIC LINEN CHARACTER

Pure linen naturally contains minor variations in its fibres and weave.

These may include:

• Small linen slubs
• Fine woven lines
• Tiny knots
• Slight yarn-thickness changes
• Natural fibre irregularities
• Subtle variations in surface texture
• Small variations in how the print appears over raised yarns
• Minor colour differences between production batches

These are normal characteristics of genuine linen and should not be considered manufacturing defects.

They help distinguish natural linen from completely uniform synthetic fabric.

SOLD AS A SINGLE CURTAIN OR A PAIR

These curtains can be purchased as:

• One single curtain panel
• One pair or set of two curtain panels

Please select the required option carefully.

All measurements shown in the size menu refer to EACH INDIVIDUAL CURTAIN PANEL, not the combined measurement of a pair.

For example:

• One 50-inch-wide curtain means one panel measuring 50 inches wide
• A pair of 50-inch-wide curtains means two panels, each measuring 50 inches wide
• The combined flat fabric width of that pair is 100 inches

The stated curtain width is the flat fabric width before the panel is gathered or arranged into folds on the rod or track.

For an attractive, full appearance, the combined flat curtain width should generally be greater than the width of the window, rod or track.

STANDARD WIDTH OPTIONS

The standard width choices for each individual curtain panel are:

• 50 inches wide – approximately 127 cm
• 100 inches wide – approximately 254 cm

IMPORTANT 100-INCH-WIDE CURTAIN CONSTRUCTION

The face fabric is approximately 54 inches wide.

A finished curtain measuring 100 inches wide cannot be cut from one continuous width of this fabric.

Each 100-inch-wide curtain will therefore be made by carefully joining two approximately 50-inch fabric panels.

This construction creates one vertical joining seam in the finished curtain.

We carefully align the navy grid, taupe blocks and ivory inset squares wherever the fabric repeat permits.

The joining seam is professionally sewn and made as discreet as possible.

Once the curtain is installed and arranged into natural vertical folds, the seam is generally barely visible.

Please purchase the 100-inch width only if you are comfortable with this necessary construction seam.

If you purchase a pair of 100-inch-wide curtains, each individual curtain will contain its own joining seam.

STANDARD HEIGHT OPTIONS

Standard finished curtain heights are available from 36 inches to 180 inches in 12-inch increments:

• 36 inches – approximately 91 cm
• 48 inches – approximately 122 cm
• 60 inches – approximately 152 cm
• 72 inches – approximately 183 cm
• 84 inches – approximately 213 cm
• 96 inches – approximately 244 cm
• 108 inches – approximately 274 cm
• 120 inches – approximately 305 cm
• 132 inches – approximately 335 cm
• 144 inches – approximately 366 cm
• 156 inches – approximately 396 cm
• 168 inches – approximately 427 cm
• 180 inches – approximately 457 cm

The extensive height range makes these curtains suitable for:

• Standard windows
• Short windows
• French doors
• Patio doors
• Bay windows
• Tall architectural windows
• Floor-to-ceiling windows
• Double-height rooms
• High-ceiling installations
• Extra-long curtain requirements

CUSTOM CURTAIN SIZES

Custom widths and heights are available.

If your exact required dimensions are not shown in the size menu:

1. Select the next larger available size.
2. Write the exact finished width and height in the order details email.
3. State whether the measurements apply to each panel or the complete pair.
4. Mention your required heading style.
5. Mention your required lining option.
6. Include any other essential custom instructions.

Always select a listed size that is equal to or larger than your required custom measurements.

Please do not select a smaller option than the finished size you need.

CUSTOM-SIZE EXAMPLE

If you require a pair of curtains measuring exactly 43 inches wide × 79 inches high per panel, select the next larger listed size and write:

“Please make two curtain panels, each exactly 43 inches wide × 79 inches high. Hooks Top. Organic cotton light-filtering liner.”

FOUR AVAILABLE HEADING STYLES

These curtains can be made with any of the following heading styles:

1. HOOKS TOP

Curtain heading tape is sewn across the back of the curtain and suitable curtain hooks are included.

Hooks Top curtains are compatible with:

• Curtain tracks
• Bay-window tracks
• Ceiling-mounted tracks
• Curtain rods used with curtain rings
• Many traverse and rail systems

When used with a rod, the curtain hooks attach to rings on the rod.

When used with a track, the hooks attach to the track runners or gliders.

Hooks Top is the most versatile option if you need compatibility with either a curtain rod or curtain track.

2. BACK TABS

Hidden fabric tabs are sewn across the back of the curtain.

The rod passes through these concealed tabs, creating an uncluttered appearance from the front.

Back Tabs produce soft, organised vertical folds and partially conceal the curtain rod.

They are intended for use with curtain rods rather than standard curtain tracks.

3. ROD POCKET

A continuous fabric pocket is sewn across the top of the curtain.

The curtain rod slides directly through this pocket.

Rod Pocket curtains form softly gathered folds and create a relaxed farmhouse, country or cottage appearance.

The standard rod pocket comfortably accommodates a rod up to approximately 1.25 inches in diameter.

If your rod is thicker, please provide its exact diameter in the order details email.

A top ruffle is not included unless it is specifically requested.

4. GROMMETS

Grommets or eyelets are fitted across the top of the curtain.

The curtain rod passes directly through the grommets, creating regular vertical folds and allowing the panel to move easily along the rod.

Grommet curtains are intended for curtain rods rather than conventional tracks.

Please contact us before ordering if a particular grommet colour is important for your interior.

PERSONALISATION REQUIREMENTS

Please include or confirm all the following information in the order details email:

• Exact finished width of each curtain
• Exact finished height of each curtain
• Required heading: Hooks Top, Back Tabs, Rod Pocket or Grommets
• Required lining: Unlined, Organic Cotton Light Filtering or 100% Blackout

Please specify whether your measurements are in inches or centimetres.

LINING OPTIONS

1. UNLINED – SEMI-SHEER PRIVACY CURTAINS

The unlined option preserves the most natural and relaxed linen appearance.

The approximately 294 GSM face fabric is thick and substantial, but daylight can still pass through small spaces within the natural linen weave.

When positioned directly in front of a bright window, the unlined curtain therefore has a semi-sheer, light-filtering quality.

Choose the unlined option if you want:

• Softly diffused daylight
• Natural linen texture
• An airy farmhouse appearance
• Gentle daytime privacy
• Visible surface character
• Natural movement and drape

The amount of privacy will depend on the direction and intensity of the light.

At night, when the interior lights are switched on, silhouettes or room details may be visible from outside.

Select a liner if stronger privacy or complete opacity is required.

2. ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER

The organic cotton liner makes the curtain completely opaque and provides additional privacy while continuing to filter natural daylight softly.

It also adds body, structure and a clean finished appearance to the reverse of the curtain.

Choose the organic cotton liner if you want:

• Completely opaque curtains
• Increased daytime privacy
• Increased night-time privacy
• Softly filtered natural light
• Reduced visibility of silhouettes
• Additional curtain body
• A more structured drape
• A neatly finished reverse side

The organic cotton liner is ideal for living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens, offices, family rooms, guest rooms and bedrooms where complete darkness is unnecessary.

3. 100% BLACKOUT OEKO-TEX CERTIFIED POLYCOTTON LINER

For maximum darkness and privacy, select the 100% blackout liner.

The blackout liner is made from OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified polycotton consisting of:

• 50% cotton
• 50% polyester

The blackout material blocks light transmission through the curtain completely.

This is the best option for:

• Bedrooms
• Nurseries
• Children’s rooms
• Media rooms
• Home cinemas
• Night-shift sleepers
• Rooms affected by streetlights
• Windows facing bright sunrise
• Rooms receiving intense afternoon sunlight
• Spaces requiring maximum privacy

Although the liner blocks light through the actual curtain material, small amounts of light may enter around the top, sides, centre or bottom of the installation.

For the darkest possible result, use enough width for generous overlap and extend the panels beyond the complete window opening.

CAFÉ CURTAINS AVAILABLE

We can also make custom café curtains, kitchen curtains, tier curtains, half-window curtains and short curtains from this same navy, taupe and ivory printed linen.

Café curtains cover the lower portion of a window while leaving the upper area open for daylight.

They are particularly suitable for:

• Farmhouse kitchens
• Country kitchens
• Breakfast nooks
• Kitchen windows above sinks
• Bathrooms
• Utility rooms
• Laundry rooms
• Pantry windows
• Cottage windows
• Cabinet openings
• Under-counter storage
• Glass-panel doors
• Small nursery windows

For custom café curtains, select the next larger available size and enter the exact finished width, finished height, heading style and lining choice in the order details email.

Rod Pocket and Hooks Top are particularly practical choices for café-curtain installations, depending on the rod or track being used.

FARMHOUSE AND COUNTRY STYLE

The rich navy-blue check and warm neutral inset blocks work beautifully in:

• Modern farmhouse interiors
• Traditional farmhouse homes
• Country cottages
• English-country interiors
• French-country-inspired spaces
• Rustic homes
• Cabins and lodges
• Coastal farmhouse rooms
• Nautical-inspired interiors
• Americana-inspired homes
• Transitional spaces
• Vintage-inspired rooms
• Organic-modern interiors
• Retro-modern homes
• Boys’ bedrooms
• Gender-neutral nurseries

The navy introduces depth and contrast, while the taupe and ivory prevent the pattern from appearing too dark or severe.

The result is versatile enough for both traditional farmhouse rooms and cleaner contemporary interiors.

These printed linen curtain panels are suitable for:

• Living rooms
• Bedrooms
• Dining rooms
• Kitchens
• Breakfast rooms
• Nurseries

• Home offices
• Libraries
• Bathrooms
• Laundry rooms
• Cabins
• Cottages

COORDINATING COLOURS AND MATERIALS

The curtains coordinate especially well with:

• Warm white walls
• Ivory upholstery
• Natural linen furnishings
• Beige and taupe textiles
• Tan or cognac leather
• Natural oak
• Dark walnut
• Rustic reclaimed wood
• Rattan and cane
• Jute rugs
• Antique brass
• Aged bronze
• Matte-black hardware
• Navy upholstery
• Denim-blue accessories
• Cream ceramics

The navy grid can create a strong connection with blue furnishings, while the taupe and ivory blocks help coordinate the curtains with natural neutral interiors.

PATTERN PLACEMENT

The curtains are individually cut and made from a continuously printed fabric roll.

The precise starting point of the pattern may therefore vary according to the ordered dimensions and the position from which the panel is cut.

Pattern placement may differ slightly from the listing photographs.

For pairs, we coordinate the pattern across the two panels wherever the fabric dimensions and repeat allow.

For 100-inch-wide curtains, we align the geometric design at the joining seam as carefully as the repeat permits.

COLOUR DISCLAIMER

Colour appearance can vary according to daylight, artificial lighting, camera exposure, surrounding furnishings and individual screen settings.

The dominant blue may appear as rich navy in warm daylight, deeper indigo in shadow, brighter denim blue under direct illumination or slightly blue-grey under cool artificial lighting.

The supporting neutral blocks may appear mushroom taupe, pale greige or warm beige depending on the surrounding light.

The lightest blocks are natural ivory rather than brilliant white.
