Inside recess fitting means the Roman shade will be installed inside the window frame or recess.

Measure the inside width of your window recess at the top, middle, and bottom.
Use the smallest width measurement.
Measure the inside height/drop from the top of the recess to the sill or desired finishing point.
Measure in three places and use the smallest height measurement.
Enter the exact inside recess width and height in the order details email.
Write “inside recess fitting” so we include the correct clamps.

How to measure for outside recess fitting

Outside recess fitting means the Roman shade will be mounted outside the window frame and will cover the window opening.

Measure the full width you want the shade to cover.
For better privacy and light coverage, add extra width on both sides of the window if space allows.
Measure from the point where you want the shade to start above the window down to where you want it to finish.
Enter the final outside mount width and height in the order details email.
Write “outside recess fitting” so we include the correct clamps.
