Natural Gray Pure Linen Curtains, Olive Sage Aqua Mid Century Atomic Print Drapes, Custom Blackout or Light Filtering Panels
Bring calm natural colour, playful mid-century character and substantial pure linen texture to your windows with these thick and heavy printed linen curtains.
Each curtain is individually made to order from substantial pure linen featuring a small-scale mid-century modern atomic print over a softly textured natural grey, pale greige, silver-grey and cool flax background.
The fabric is decorated with an eclectic arrangement of muted olive green, sage, moss, dusty aqua, seafoam, taupe and charcoal-grey symbols. The pattern combines repeated crosses with scattered starbursts, dotted rosettes, stylised flowers, atomic-jack shapes, arrowhead-like forms and small abstract botanical motifs.
From a normal room distance, the curtain appears softly grey and gently patterned. At closer range, the authentic linen weave, subdued natural colours, slightly irregular outlines and individual retro-inspired symbols become considerably more visible.
The design has a distinctive mid-century modern, retro atomic, Scandinavian, organic-modern, bohemian, eclectic and vintage textile character. Its compact repeat introduces personality and colour without the visual weight of a large floral print or a heavily saturated background.
These printed pure linen curtains may be purchased as:
• One single curtain panel
• One pair or set of two curtain panels
Please carefully select whether you require one individual curtain or a set of two curtains when placing your order.
COLOUR PALETTE
The linen ground is a softly mottled natural grey rather than a stark optical white or dark charcoal.
Its colour sits between:
• Natural grey
• Pale greige
• Silver-grey
• Cool light flax
• Soft stone
• Light oatmeal-grey
• Misty grey-beige
• Subtle natural linen
Depending on the direction of the light and the surrounding décor, the base may appear:
• Lighter and more silver-grey in bright daylight
• Slightly warmer and more greige under indoor lighting
• Pale flax beside brilliant white walls
• Cooler beside beige or cream upholstery
• Softer and more natural beside pale wood
• Light mushroom-grey beside charcoal furnishings
The printed motifs use a coordinated range of muted, nature-inspired shades.
The principal pattern colours include:
• Olive green
• Sage green
• Moss green
• Lichen green
• Muted chartreuse
• Dusty aqua
• Pale seafoam
• Soft eucalyptus
• Blue-green grey
• Mushroom taupe
• Warm grey
• Charcoal-grey
• Stone grey
The green motifs do not appear as bright emerald or vivid grass green. They have softened olive, sage, moss and lichen undertones.
The blue-green motifs may appear dusty aqua, seafoam, eucalyptus or pale mineral green according to the lighting.
The neutral motifs vary between mushroom, taupe, stone grey and soft charcoal.
The repeated crosses appear predominantly medium grey to charcoal-grey, giving the scattered design a subtle underlying structure.
The colours have a softly weathered and vintage-inspired appearance rather than a sharp, digitally saturated finish.
This versatile colour palette coordinates beautifully with natural wood, ivory upholstery, olive furnishings, sage bedding, seafoam accessories, warm grey walls, rattan, cane, stone, ceramic décor and natural woven rugs.
MID-CENTURY MODERN ATOMIC PRINT
The fabric features a small-scale all-over pattern inspired by mid-century modern textiles, atomic-era graphics, Scandinavian motifs and playful abstract symbols.
The design may be described as:
• Mid-century modern print
• Retro atomic pattern
• Olive and aqua geometric print
• Abstract symbol pattern
• Scandinavian-inspired textile
• Vintage doodle design
• Atomic starburst print
• Small-scale boho pattern
• Abstract botanical print
• Retro 1950s-style design
• Geometric floral pattern
• Muted multicolour linen print
GREY CROSS MOTIFS
One of the most frequently repeated elements is a small grey plus sign or cross.
These crosses are arranged in loose horizontal rows and create an underlying visual grid across the fabric.
Their softly irregular edges prevent them from looking overly mechanical and complement the woven appearance of the natural linen.
OLIVE AND SAGE STARBURSTS
Several olive, sage and lichen-coloured motifs feature short points radiating from a small centre.
They may resemble:
• Atomic starbursts
• Small suns
• Retro fireworks
• Stylised flowers
• Vintage celestial symbols
• Abstract seed heads
DUSTY AQUA ROSETTES
The aqua and seafoam motifs are formed from rounded dots or petal-like marks arranged around a central opening.
They may resemble:
• Dotted flowers
• Folk-art rosettes
• Abstract blossoms
• Small botanical clusters
• Decorative medallions
• Atomic molecule symbols
OLIVE ATOMIC-JACK SHAPES
Several olive-green motifs form compact crosses with rounded ends.
They may resemble:
• Atomic jacks
• Molecule diagrams
• Small abstract flowers
• Retro game pieces
• Four-ended botanical forms
• Simplified geometric symbols
TAUPE AND GREY FLOWER MOTIFS
The mushroom and grey motifs combine diagonal stems with rounded marks.
They may resemble:
• Abstract snowflakes
• Small folk flowers
• Crossed branches
• Atomic-era symbols
• Geometric blossoms
• Stylised seed pods
OLIVE ARROW AND BRANCH FORMS
Additional olive and lichen motifs resemble:
• Arrowheads
• Small leaves
• Abstract branches
• Miniature bows
• Directional symbols
• Stylised birds or botanical marks
The print contains visual variety but remains balanced because all the motifs share a compact scale, softened outlines and restrained colour palette.
The slightly irregular shapes give the design a relaxed, hand-rendered or hand-stamped appearance. The fabric is described as printed and is not represented as individually hand block printed.
The small pattern repeat is especially suitable for curtain panels because it remains recognisable when the fabric is gathered.
When the curtains are drawn more fully across the window, the complete arrangement of crosses, starbursts, rosettes and atomic symbols becomes easier to see.
When the panels are open or gathered into deeper folds, fragments of the pattern appear between the folds, producing a softer and more abstract appearance.
THICK AND HEAVY PURE LINEN
These curtains are made from thick, heavy and substantial pure linen fabric.
The supplied face-fabric weight is 403 grams per linear metre.
Based on a fabric width of 54 inches, this converts to approximately 294 GSM.
This substantial weight gives the curtains excellent body and allows them to fall into attractive vertical folds while retaining the organic movement and natural woven character associated with genuine linen.
The material is not a thin, smooth or synthetic-looking curtain fabric.
It has:
• A substantial pure linen body
• Visible natural woven texture
• A softly matte surface
• A detailed small-scale printed design
• Elegant movement when installed
• Naturally occurring yarn variation
• An authentic and tactile appearance
Pure linen may naturally contain:
• Small slubs
• Slightly thicker yarns
• Fine woven lines
• Minor variations in fibre thickness
• Subtle irregularities within the weave
• Gentle changes in surface texture
• Natural differences in how individual fibres reflect light
These are normal characteristics of genuine linen and contribute to its organic beauty. They should not be considered manufacturing defects.
AVAILABLE LINING OPTIONS
These curtains can be ordered with one of three finishes:
1. Unlined
2. Organic cotton light-filtering lined
3. 100% blackout OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified polycotton lined
Please enter your required lining choice in the order details email when placing the order.
UNLINED SEMI-SHEER CURTAINS
Choose the unlined option when you would like to preserve the natural movement, softly filtered daylight and visible woven character of the pure linen.
Although this is a thick and substantial fabric, natural linen has a breathable woven construction.
The curtains therefore have a semi-sheer quality when ordered without lining, particularly when strong daylight is shining directly through them.
Unlined curtains gently soften incoming sunlight while allowing the room to remain naturally bright and airy.
They provide a degree of daytime privacy but should not be considered completely opaque.
When the curtain is strongly backlit, the natural grey ground may appear lighter and the printed motifs may take on a softer, more translucent appearance.
The unlined option is particularly suitable for:
• Living rooms
• Dining rooms
• Sunrooms
• Home offices
• Creative studios
• Playrooms
• Decorative side panels
• Rooms with existing blinds
• Windows fitted with shutters
• Layered window treatments
• Rooms where natural daylight is preferred
• Low-privacy areas
• Curtains used primarily as decorative panels
Privacy will vary according to the direction and intensity of the light.
During daylight hours, the linen provides soft visual screening. At night, when the interior lights are switched on, silhouettes may be visible from outside through an unlined curtain.
For bedrooms, bathrooms, street-facing rooms or windows requiring stronger privacy, we recommend selecting either the organic cotton light-filtering liner or the 100% blackout liner.
ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER
Choose the organic cotton light-filtering liner when you would like greater privacy, a visually opaque appearance and additional curtain body while still allowing softly diffused daylight into the room.
The organic cotton liner is sewn separately behind the printed pure linen.
It reduces visibility through the natural linen weave and provides considerably greater privacy than the unlined version.
Under normal use, the cotton-lined curtain has a completely opaque visual appearance.
The cotton liner filters and softens incoming sunlight rather than blocking it completely. The room remains naturally illuminated with a calm, diffused glow.
The liner also gives the curtain additional structure, helping the substantial linen form fuller and more defined folds.
It helps the natural grey ground and muted olive, aqua and taupe print appear more consistent throughout the day because strong backlighting through the linen is reduced.
The organic cotton light-filtering option is particularly suitable for:
• Living-room curtains
• Dining-room curtains
• Guest-bedroom curtains
• Children’s bedrooms
• Home-office curtains
• Family rooms
• Playrooms
• Street-facing windows
• Nurseries where complete darkness is not required
• Kitchen curtains
• Breakfast-room curtains
• Rooms requiring privacy with natural light
The organic cotton liner is designed to provide:
• Soft light filtering
• Increased privacy
• A visually opaque appearance
• Additional curtain body
• Gently diffused daylight
• A fuller finished drape
The organic cotton liner is not a blackout material and will not create complete darkness.
100% BLACKOUT OEKO-TEX CERTIFIED LINER
Choose the 100% blackout option when maximum light control, complete fabric opacity and enhanced privacy are required.
The blackout liner is made from OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified polycotton consisting of approximately:
• 50% cotton
• 50% polyester
The liner is designed to block incoming light completely through the curtain fabric when the panels are fully closed and correctly installed.
It prevents light from passing through the printed linen itself and prevents silhouettes from being visible through the curtain.
The blackout liner also gives the finished curtain additional body, producing a fuller, heavier and more structured drape.
The blackout option is recommended for:
• Primary bedrooms
• Guest bedrooms
• Nurseries
• Children’s bedrooms
• Playrooms requiring nap-time darkness
• Media rooms
• Home theatres
• Rooms affected by streetlights
• Daytime sleepers
• Night-shift workers
• Bright south-facing rooms
• Windows receiving strong morning sunlight
• Anyone who prefers a dark sleeping environment
Although the liner blocks light completely through the curtain fabric, a small amount of light may still enter around the outer edges of the installation.
Possible sources of light leakage include:
• Above the curtain rod or track
• Around the outer sides of the panels
• Under the bottom hem
• Between two curtain panels
• Around curtain hooks, rings, grommets or other hardware
For the darkest possible result, we recommend:
• Installing the curtain rod above the window frame
• Extending the rod beyond both sides of the window
• Selecting sufficient curtain width for generous fullness
• Allowing two panels to meet or overlap at the centre
• Extending the curtains below the window opening
• Choosing an installation that allows the panels to sit close to the wall
SINGLE CURTAIN OR SET OF TWO CURTAINS
These curtains are available as either:
• One single curtain panel
• One pair or set of two curtain panels
Selecting “Single Curtain” provides one individual curtain panel.
Selecting “Set of 2 Curtains” provides two separate curtain panels.
The selected width and length apply to each individual curtain unless the listing option specifically states otherwise.
For example:
A set of two curtains selected in the 50-inch-wide by 84-inch-long size includes two individual curtain panels.
Each curtain measures approximately:
50 inches wide x 84 inches long
The complete pair therefore provides a combined flat width of approximately 100 inches before gathering.
Please carefully check the single-curtain or set-of-two selection and your chosen quantity before completing the purchase.
STANDARD WIDTH OPTIONS
The available standard finished widths are:
• 50 inches wide — approximately 127 cm
• 100 inches wide — approximately 254 cm
The stated width is the flat finished width of each individual curtain panel before it is gathered or arranged into folds.
A 50-inch-wide curtain will cover less than 50 inches of curtain rod or track once gathered.
The actual horizontal window coverage will depend on:
• The selected heading style
• Your preferred amount of fullness
• The usable width of the curtain rod or track
• The depth of the curtain folds
• Whether the panel is installed alone or as part of a pair
For an attractive and full appearance, the combined flat width of the curtains should normally be greater than the usable width of the rod or track.
For example:
Two 50-inch-wide curtains provide approximately 100 inches of combined flat width.
When installed across a 60-inch-wide curtain rod or track, the panels can form attractive folds rather than hanging completely flat.
Rod-pocket curtains generally require greater gathering to achieve their characteristic softly gathered appearance.
Back-tab and grommet curtains form broader folds and may require slightly less fullness.
Hooks-top curtains can be arranged with different fullness levels depending on the hooks, rings, heading tape and curtain-track system used.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT 100-INCH-WIDE CURTAINS
The printed pure linen fabric is approximately 54 inches wide.
It is therefore not possible to make a finished 100-inch-wide curtain from one uninterrupted width of fabric.
Every 100-inch-wide curtain panel will be constructed by professionally joining two approximately 50-inch-wide fabric sections.
This creates one vertical joining seam near the middle of the finished curtain panel.
The two sections will be carefully positioned and stitched to preserve the direction and visual balance of the printed design as effectively as possible.
The centre seam is generally barely visible after the curtain has been installed, gathered and arranged into natural folds.
The seam becomes less noticeable because:
• It sits within the curtain’s vertical folds
• The linen creates natural highlights and shadows
• The scattered pattern draws attention away from the joining line
• The curtain is normally viewed from a room distance
• The textured fabric visually softens the seam
The central joining seam is a necessary construction feature of every 100-inch-wide curtain and should not be considered a defect.
Because the fabric has an all-over scattered repeat, exact uninterrupted motif matching across the centre seam may not always be possible.
The two sections will nevertheless be positioned carefully to create a balanced and attractive finished appearance.

Standard curtain lengths are available from 36 inches through 180 inches in increments of 12 inches:
• 36 inches — approximately 91 cm
• 48 inches — approximately 122 cm

• 84 inches — approximately 213 cm
• 96 inches — approximately 244 cm
• 108 inches — approximately 274 cm
• 120 inches — approximately 305 cm
• 132 inches — approximately 335 cm
• 144 inches — approximately 366 cm
• 156 inches — approximately 396 cm

• Loft apartments
• Two-storey windows

AVAILABLE HEADING STYLES
Four curtain heading styles are available:
• Hooks top
• Back tabs
• Rod pocket
• Grommets
Please enter your required heading style in the order details email.
HOOKS-TOP CURTAINS
Hooks-top curtains are finished with curtain heading tape sewn securely onto the back of each panel.
Curtain hooks can be inserted into the heading tape, making this heading compatible with both curtain rods and curtain tracks.
Hooks top can be installed on:
• Curtain rods fitted with rings
• Decorative poles fitted with rings
• Ceiling-mounted curtain tracks
• Wall-mounted curtain tracks
• Compatible curtain-track carrier systems
This is the most versatile heading choice for buyers who already have a curtain track or rod-and-ring installation.
The hanging position can be adjusted slightly by placing the curtain hooks into different pockets within the heading tape.
Curtain hooks, rings, rods, tracks, brackets and installation hardware are not included unless specifically stated otherwise.
BACK-TAB CURTAINS
Back tabs are fabric loops sewn discreetly onto the rear of the curtain heading.
The curtain rod passes through these concealed loops, allowing the curtain to form soft, structured folds while keeping the tabs hidden from the front.
Back-tab curtains create a clean and tailored appearance without visible grommets or curtain rings.
They are particularly suitable for:
• Contemporary bedrooms
• Transitional living rooms
• Organic-modern interiors
• Mid-century modern rooms
• Scandinavian-inspired spaces
• Eclectic interiors
• Decorative curtain installations
• Rooms where the curtains are opened less frequently
Back-tab curtains require a curtain rod and are not intended for direct installation onto a standard curtain track.
ROD-POCKET CURTAINS
A fabric channel is sewn across the top of the curtain panel, and the curtain rod slides directly through this pocket.
Rod-pocket curtains create a softly gathered and relaxed appearance that complements the natural texture of pure linen.
They are particularly suitable for:
• Bedrooms
• Guest rooms
• Kitchens
• Breakfast nooks
• Nurseries
• Children’s rooms
• Cottage-style interiors
• Modern farmhouse rooms
• Decorative side panels
• Small windows
• Short window treatments
• Café-curtain installations
Please ensure that the diameter of your curtain rod is compatible with the rod pocket before ordering.
Rod-pocket curtains may not slide as freely as hooks-top or grommet curtains. They are often preferred for decorative installations or windows where the panels are adjusted less frequently.
GROMMET CURTAINS
Metal grommets or eyelets are installed across the top of each curtain panel.
The curtain rod passes directly through the grommets, creating broad and evenly spaced waves.
Grommet curtains move smoothly across a suitable rod and give the printed linen a clean, contemporary appearance.
They work particularly well in:
• Living rooms
• Bedrooms
• Dining rooms
• Home offices
• Playrooms
• Wide windows
• Patio-door installations
• Contemporary interiors
• Frequently operated curtains
Grommet curtains require a curtain rod and cannot be installed directly onto a standard curtain track.
Please mention any preferred grommet colour or finish in the order details email. Availability may depend on current hardware stock.

HOW TO MEASURE THE CURTAIN WIDTH
Measure the full usable width of the installed curtain rod or track rather than measuring only the glass or inside of the window frame.
Decide how full you would like the curtains to appear when closed.
For attractive gathering, the combined flat curtain width should be wider than the curtain rod or track.
Examples:
• Two 50-inch panels provide approximately 100 inches of combined flat width.
• One 100-inch panel provides approximately 100 inches of flat width.
• Two 100-inch panels provide approximately 200 inches of combined flat width.
The best option depends on:
• The width of the curtain rod or track
• The selected heading style
• The required window coverage
• Your preferred amount of gathering
• Whether you prefer moderate or luxurious fullness
Please remember that each curtain covers less horizontal space after it has been arranged into folds.
HOW TO MEASURE THE CURTAIN LENGTH
Measure from the exact position where the top of the finished curtain will sit.
For hooks-top curtains, measure from the intended curtain hook, ring or track-carrier position.
For back-tab and rod-pocket curtains, measure from the curtain rod while accounting for how the fabric will sit around or above the rod.
For grommet curtains, measure from the top of the rod while remembering that a small portion of fabric sits above the eyelets.
Measure down to your preferred finishing position:
• At the windowsill
• Slightly below the sill
• At the window apron
• Just above the floor
• Lightly touching the floor
• With a small break on the floor
• With a decorative puddle
Whenever possible, install the curtain rod or track before taking the final measurements.
Measure each window separately, even when two windows appear to be identical in size.
CAFÉ CURTAINS AND SHORT WINDOW CURTAINS
We can also make café curtains from this natural grey printed pure linen fabric.
Available customised short-curtain applications include:
• Café curtains
• Linen café curtains
• Kitchen curtains
• Short curtain panels
• Tier curtains
• Half-window curtains
• Bathroom curtains
• Pantry curtains
• Laundry-room curtains
• Breakfast-nook curtains
• Small-window curtains
• Short boho curtains
• Short retro curtains
• Decorative window tiers
The natural grey ground and compact olive, sage, aqua and charcoal atomic print are especially suitable for kitchens, breakfast rooms, playrooms, craft rooms, bathrooms, laundry rooms, family spaces and smaller windows where privacy is required without covering the entire window.
The small-scale design remains recognisable on shorter curtains and creates an attractive decorative feature even when the fabric is softly gathered.
To order customised café curtains:
1. Select the next larger available width and length.
2. Enter the exact required finished measurements in the order details email.
3. Mention the required heading style.
4. Mention the required lining option.
5. State whether you require one café-curtain panel or a set of two.
Rod pocket is a popular heading choice for café curtains, although hooks top, back tabs or grommets may also be requested where suitable.

COLOUR ACCURACY
The precise appearance of the fabric may vary according to:
• Natural daylight
• Warm or cool artificial lighting
• Surrounding wall colours
• Nearby furniture and textiles
• Device and monitor settings
• Photography conditions
• Whether the curtain is lined or unlined
The linen ground may appear:
• Natural grey
• Pale greige
• Silver-grey
• Cool flax
• Light stone
• Soft oatmeal-grey
• Misty grey-beige
The printed motifs may appear:
• Olive green
• Sage green
• Moss green
• Lichen
• Muted chartreuse
• Dusty aqua
• Seafoam
• Eucalyptus
• Mushroom taupe
• Warm grey
• Charcoal-grey
Adding a liner may slightly affect the appearance of the front fabric because less light passes through the natural linen.
Unlined curtains may appear lighter and more translucent when viewed against a bright window.
Cotton-lined and blackout-lined curtains generally show the print with greater consistency because the backing reduces strong daylight passing through the linen.
A fabric sample is recommended when an exact colour match is essential.
PATTERN PLACEMENT
The precise position of the printed motifs may vary slightly between finished curtain panels because each curtain is individually cut from a continuous roll of patterned fabric.
When a pair is ordered, the panels will be prepared to create a visually balanced and coordinated overall appearance.
Completely identical motif placement cannot always be guaranteed.
Reasonable care will be taken to balance the distribution of the olive, sage, aqua and neutral motifs.
On a 100-inch-wide curtain, exact uninterrupted pattern matching across the centre seam may not always be possible because of the scale and repeat of the printed design.
HANDMADE AND NATURAL CHARACTERISTICS
Every curtain is individually measured, cut, lined where selected, sewn and finished according to the order details.
Minor variations in stitching, linen weave, yarn thickness, print placement and surface texture are normal characteristics of a made-to-order product created from genuine linen.
Natural slubs and woven variations contribute to the fabric’s authentic appearance and should not be considered flaws.
WHAT YOUR ORDER INCLUDES
Your order includes the number of finished curtain panels selected from the listing.
• “Single Curtain” includes one curtain panel.
• “Set of 2 Curtains” includes two curtain panels.
Curtain rods, tracks, hooks, rings, brackets and installation hardware are not included unless specifically stated otherwise.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Professional dry cleaning is recommended, particularly for lined curtains, blackout curtains, printed panels and extra-long sizes.
Do not use bleach or harsh chemical cleaners.
Avoid prolonged contact with strong cleaning products, as they may affect the printed colours.
Natural linen may develop creases during folding, packing and transportation.
After installation, allow the curtains to hang so that many of the folds can relax naturally.
A garment steamer may be used carefully on an appropriate fabric setting.
Avoid holding concentrated high heat directly against the printed surface or blackout lining.
Do not press a very hot iron aggressively against the printed face of the fabric.
