OPTION 1 – ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER

Choose the organic cotton light-filtering liner if you would like natural daylight to enter the room while gaining additional privacy and a more substantial finished Roman shade.

The liner softly diffuses incoming daylight rather than creating complete darkness.

HOW TO MEASURE – INSIDE RECESS / INSIDE MOUNT

An inside-recess Roman shade is installed within the window recess for a neat, streamlined appearance.

1. Measure the exact internal width of the window recess at the top where the Roman blind will be installed.

2. Measure the exact internal height of the recess from the top installation point to the bottom.

3. Use a rigid metal tape measure wherever possible for greater accuracy.

4. Enter the exact recess width and exact recess height in the order details email.

5. Clearly write:

INSIDE RECESS

Please provide the actual recess measurements and do not make your own fitting deductions unless specifically discussed with us.

HOW TO MEASURE – OUTSIDE RECESS / OUTSIDE MOUNT

An outside-mounted Roman shade is installed over the window opening rather than inside it.

For good window coverage, we recommend approximately:

2 inches / 5 cm additional coverage on the LEFT side

2 inches / 5 cm additional coverage on the RIGHT side

This means adding approximately:

4 inches / 10 cm to the overall window width.

For the height, measure from approximately:

4 inches / 10 cm above the top of the window frame

down to the point where you would like the Roman shade to finish.

Outside mounting provides additional coverage around the window and can also help reduce light entering around the edges when the blackout liner is selected.
