Natural Beige & Ivory Embroidered Linen Curtains, Textured Dot Stripe Drapes, Custom Blackout or Light Filtering Panels
NATURAL BEIGE & IVORY EMBROIDERED PURE LINEN CURTAINS – TEXTURED DOTTED-STRIPE CUSTOM WINDOW PANELS
Bring luxurious natural texture, understated neutral colour and beautifully dimensional embroidery to your windows with these custom-made thick and heavy pure linen curtains.
The fabric combines a warm natural beige linen ground with numerous small raised embroidered dots in soft ivory, creamy white and pale greige.
The dots are arranged in dense, closely spaced horizontal rows across the complete surface of the curtain.
Fine horizontal woven, ribbed and openwork-style lines appear behind and between the raised dots, adding another layer of tactile striped texture.
From across the room, the design has a soft and sophisticated neutral appearance.
When viewed more closely, the dimensional embroidery, irregular raised dots, fine linen fibres and horizontal woven details become much more noticeable.
This is not a flat printed polka-dot fabric.
The decorative dots are genuinely raised above the linen surface, giving the curtains a richly textured, handcrafted and designer-textile appearance.
The irregular shapes and naturally varied spacing give the design a softer dotted-stripe character rather than the rigid appearance of a conventional geometric polka-dot print.
OVERALL COLOUR APPEARANCE
The dominant ground colour is a warm natural beige that may also be described as:
• Oatmeal beige
• Natural flax
• Warm sand
• Light taupe
• Pale mushroom
• Wheat beige
• Soft greige
• Undyed-linen beige
• Natural stone
• Muted khaki beige
The colour is warmer than a cool grey but softer and less yellow than camel, tan or golden beige.
It sits comfortably between oatmeal, flax, beige, taupe and warm greige.
The raised embroidered details are primarily:
• Ivory white
• Natural white
• Soft cream
• Pale pearl
• Light oatmeal
• Pale greige
• Soft mushroom
• Silvery beige
Most of the dots appear ivory or creamy white, while selected rows include softer pale greige and taupe-grey dots.
These tonal variations prevent the embroidery from looking stark and create a beautifully layered neutral palette.
Please remember that colours can appear slightly different depending on daylight, artificial lighting, surrounding furnishings and individual screen settings.
TEXTURED EMBROIDERED DOT-STRIPE DESIGN
The fabric contains several coordinated horizontal details:
• Closely spaced rows of small raised embroidered dots
• Predominantly ivory-white embroidery
• Supporting pale greige and taupe embroidery
• Fine horizontal ribbed lines
• Narrow openwork-style woven bands
• Subtle variations in the linen yarn
• Naturally irregular embroidered shapes
• Dense all-over surface texture
The raised motifs resemble tiny irregular dots, dashes, knots or softly tufted flecks.
They are not perfectly circular or mechanically uniform.
This natural variation is an intentional characteristic of the embroidered textile and contributes to its relaxed, organic appearance.
The horizontal organisation of the dots also gives the fabric a subtle striped rhythm.
The overall pattern can therefore be described as:
• Embroidered dot stripe
• Textured dotted stripe
• Irregular polka-dot embroidery
• Raised spot embroidery
• Tonal neutral stripe
• Ivory dotted linen
• Textured horizontal stripe
• Small-scale geometric embroidery
THICK AND HEAVY PURE LINEN
The face fabric is made from thick and heavy pure linen with substantial body and a beautifully tactile surface.
The supplied fabric weight is 403 grams per linear metre at a width of 54 inches.
This converts to approximately 294 GSM.
GSM means grams per square metre and provides a standardised indication of fabric weight.
At approximately 294 GSM, this is a substantial decorative linen rather than a very thin voile or lightweight gauze.
The fabric retains the recognisable organic character of natural linen, including subtle yarn variation, visible fibres, minor slubs and gentle irregularities in the weave.
These are normal features of genuine linen and should not be considered defects.
Although the fabric is thick and richly textured, the unlined curtain remains softly semi-sheer when strong daylight shines through it.
The degree of transparency will depend on the direction and intensity of the light.
SINGLE CURTAIN OR PAIR OF CURTAINS
These curtains can be purchased as:
• One individual curtain panel
• One pair or set of two curtain panels
Please select the required quantity or set option carefully.
Unless the menu specifically states otherwise, the width and height measurements refer to EACH INDIVIDUAL CURTAIN PANEL—not the combined measurement of two panels.
For example:
• One 50-inch-wide curtain means one panel measuring 50 inches wide
• A pair of 50-inch-wide curtains means two panels, each measuring 50 inches wide
• The pair will have a combined flat fabric width of 100 inches
CURTAIN WIDTH OPTIONS
Standard width options include:
• 50 inches wide – approximately 127 cm
• 100 inches wide – approximately 254 cm
The width shown is the flat fabric width of each individual curtain panel before it is gathered or arranged on the rod or track.
For an attractive full appearance, the total flat width of the curtains should normally be greater than the area that needs to be covered.
The amount of fullness required depends on the selected heading style and the appearance you prefer.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT 100-INCH-WIDE CURTAINS
The face fabric is approximately 54 inches wide.
A finished curtain measuring 100 inches wide cannot be cut from one continuous width of this fabric.
Each 100-inch-wide curtain will therefore be constructed by carefully joining two approximately 50-inch fabric widths.
This creates a vertical joining seam in the curtain.
We take care to align the horizontal embroidered rows and make the join as discreet and professionally finished as possible.
After the curtain has been installed and arranged into natural folds, the seam is generally barely visible.
Please purchase the 100-inch width only if you are comfortable with this necessary construction seam.
STANDARD CURTAIN HEIGHTS
The following standard finished heights are available:
• 36 inches – approximately 91 cm
• 48 inches – approximately 122 cm
• 60 inches – approximately 152 cm
• 72 inches – approximately 183 cm
• 84 inches – approximately 213 cm
• 96 inches – approximately 244 cm
• 108 inches – approximately 274 cm
• 120 inches – approximately 305 cm
• 132 inches – approximately 335 cm
• 144 inches – approximately 366 cm
• 156 inches – approximately 396 cm
• 168 inches – approximately 427 cm
• 180 inches – approximately 457 cm
The extensive height range makes these curtains suitable for standard windows, French doors, patio doors, floor-to-ceiling windows, tall architectural windows, high ceilings and extra-long custom drapery installations.
CUSTOM CURTAIN SIZES
Custom widths and heights can also be made.
If your exact measurement is not shown in the size menu:
1. Select the next larger available size.
2. Enter the exact required finished width and height in the order details email.
3. Include your preferred heading style.
4. Include your preferred lining option.
5. Add any other essential instructions.
Please always select a listed size that is equal to or larger than the finished dimensions you require.
Do not select a smaller size than your requested custom measurements.
If ordering a pair, the measurements entered in the order details email should clearly state whether they apply to each individual panel or to the complete pair.
FOUR AVAILABLE HEADING STYLES
These curtains can be made with any of the following four heading styles:
1. HOOKS TOP
Heading tape is sewn onto the back of the curtain and suitable curtain hooks are attached or supplied.
Hooks Top curtains are compatible with:
• Curtain tracks
• Curtain rods used with curtain rings
• Bay-window tracks
• Many ceiling-mounted track systems
This is a practical choice when you need the curtain to operate on a track or hang below rings on a rod.
2. BACK TABS
Hidden fabric tabs are sewn onto the back of the curtain.
The curtain rod passes through these concealed tabs, creating a clean and tailored appearance from the front.
Back Tabs create soft, evenly spaced folds while keeping the rod partially concealed.
Back Tabs are intended for curtain rods rather than tracks.
3. ROD POCKET
A sewn pocket is created across the top of the curtain, and the curtain rod passes directly through it.
Rod Pocket curtains have a softly gathered, relaxed appearance and work particularly well in farmhouse, cottage, casual and traditional interiors.
The standard rod pocket comfortably accommodates a rod up to approximately 1.25 inches in diameter.
If your rod is thicker, please provide its exact diameter in the order details email so an appropriately sized pocket can be considered.
A top ruffle is not included unless specifically requested.
4. GROMMETS
Metal grommets or eyelets are fitted across the top of the curtain.
The rod passes directly through the grommets, forming organised vertical folds.
Grommet curtains are suitable for curtain rods but not standard curtain tracks.
Please contact us before ordering if a particular grommet colour is important for your room.

• Exact finished height of each panel
• Required heading: Hooks Top, Back Tabs, Rod Pocket or Grommets
• Required lining: Unlined, Organic Cotton Lined or 100% Blackout Lined
• Quantity: Single Panel or Pair/Set of Two

If ordering a custom size, please write all measurements clearly in either inches or centimetres and specify which unit you have used.
LINING OPTIONS
Three lining choices are available:
1. UNLINED – SEMI-SHEER LIGHT-FILTERING CURTAINS
Without a liner, the natural linen gently filters daylight and retains a softer, airier appearance.
The fabric is not a transparent sheer voile, but it becomes semi-sheer when placed directly in front of a bright window.
The embroidered dots and textured horizontal lines remain visible while natural light passes through the spaces in the linen weave.
Unlined curtains are suitable when you want:
• Softly filtered daylight
• An airy natural-linen appearance
• Decorative daytime privacy
• Gentle diffusion of harsh sunlight
• Visible linen texture
• A relaxed organic interior
Privacy will vary according to lighting conditions.
At night, when interior lights are switched on, silhouettes or interior details may be visible from outside.
Choose a liner if stronger privacy is required.
2. ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER
An organic cotton liner can be added for increased privacy and greater opacity.
This liner significantly reduces the semi-sheer appearance of the unlined linen while still allowing the window treatment to filter natural daylight.
Choose the organic cotton liner if you want:
• Extra privacy
• A more opaque curtain
• Softly filtered natural light
• Additional body and structure
• Reduced visibility of silhouettes
• A neatly finished lined appearance
The cotton-lined option is suitable for living rooms, dining rooms, family rooms, home offices, kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms where complete darkness is not required.
3. 100% BLACKOUT OEKO-TEX CERTIFIED POLYCOTTON LINER
For maximum light control, select the 100% blackout liner.
The blackout lining is made from OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified polycotton consisting of:
• 50% cotton
• 50% polyester
The blackout material is designed to block light transmission through the curtain fabric completely.
It is the most suitable choice for:
• Bedrooms
• Nurseries
• Children’s rooms
• Media rooms
• Home cinemas
• Night-shift sleepers
• Rooms affected by strong street lighting
• Windows receiving intense early-morning sunlight
• Spaces where maximum privacy is required
Please note that although the liner blocks light through the curtain material, small amounts of light may still enter around the top, sides, centre or bottom depending on the curtain installation and window dimensions.
For the darkest possible room, use generous curtain width and ensure the panels extend beyond the complete window opening.
DAYTIME PRIVACY AND NIGHT-TIME PRIVACY
Unlined:
• Semi-sheer in strong daylight
• Soft daytime screening
• Limited night-time privacy when interior lights are on
Organic cotton lined:
• Completely opaque appearance
• Increased day and night privacy
• Light-filtering rather than blackout
Blackout lined:
• Maximum opacity and privacy
• Blackout lining blocks light through the fabric
• Best option for sleeping spaces and complete darkness
CAFÉ CURTAINS AND SHORT WINDOW CURTAINS
We can also make this embroidered linen as custom café curtains.
Café curtains cover the lower section of a window while allowing daylight to enter above.
They work beautifully in:
• Kitchens
• Breakfast nooks
• Bathrooms
• Utility rooms
• Pantry windows
• Kitchen-door windows
• Small cottage windows
• Above-sink windows
• Cabinets and open storage areas
For custom linen café curtains, select the next larger available size and enter the exact finished measurements, heading style and lining choice in the order details email.
Rod Pocket and Hooks Top are particularly useful choices for café-curtain installations, depending on your chosen rod or track.

IMPORTANT NATURAL-LINEN CHARACTERISTICS
Pure linen is valued for its natural texture and organic appearance.
Small variations may include:
• Linen slubs
• Slight yarn-thickness changes
• Tiny woven irregularities
• Natural fibre variations
• Subtle tonal differences
• Minor variation between production batches
These characteristics are part of the beauty of genuine linen and are not manufacturing defects.
The embroidered dots also have intentionally irregular edges, dimensions and shapes.
They should not be expected to resemble perfectly printed circles.
