HOW TO MEASURE — INSIDE RECESS / INSIDE MOUNT

An inside-recess Roman shade fits inside the window opening for a clean and integrated appearance.

STEP 1 — WIDTH

Measure the exact internal width of the recess at the TOP where the Roman shade will be fitted.

Also check the width through the middle and bottom to make sure that the window opening does not become narrower.

STEP 2 — HEIGHT

Measure the exact internal height from the top of the recess to the required bottom position.

HOW TO MEASURE — OUTSIDE RECESS / OUTSIDE MOUNT

An outside-recess Roman blind is installed over the window opening rather than inside it.

This provides additional coverage around the window and can reduce edge light when blackout lining is selected.

STEP 1 — MEASURE WINDOW WIDTH

Measure the width of your window or window frame.

STEP 2 — ADD SIDE OVERLAP

Where sufficient wall space is available, add approximately:

2 inches / 5 cm on the LEFT

and

2 inches / 5 cm on the RIGHT.

This adds approximately:

4 inches / 10 cm

to the overall width.

OUTSIDE-MOUNT EXAMPLE

Window width:

36 inches / 91.4 cm
