Ivory Taupe Paisley Pure Linen Curtains, Floral Botanical Drapes, Custom Extra Long Blackout Panels
IVORY AND TAUPE PURE LINEN PAISLEY CURTAINS WITH AN ORNATE FLORAL BOTANICAL PRINT
Bring natural texture, timeless pattern and warm neutral colour to your windows with these custom-made pure linen printed curtains.
The thick and substantial linen fabric has a warm ivory to natural oatmeal background printed with an intricate taupe, mushroom-beige and softly weathered brown paisley design. Large scrolling paisley motifs are filled and surrounded by stylised flowers, curling vines, leaves, seed-pod shapes and fine ornamental botanical details.
The pattern has a traditional Indian-inspired and vintage textile character, but its restrained ivory and taupe colour palette makes it versatile enough for contemporary, transitional, farmhouse, bohemian, French country and classic interiors.
From a distance, the curtains create a rich, flowing botanical pattern. When viewed more closely, the detailed linework, paisley forms, floral centres, delicate leaves and natural linen weave become more visible.
These curtains are individually made to order and can be purchased as:
• One single curtain panel
• A pair or set of two matching curtain panels
They can be ordered:
• Unlined
• With an organic cotton light-filtering liner
• With a 100% blackout OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified polycotton liner
COLOUR AND PATTERN
Background colour:
A warm ivory, soft cream and natural oatmeal shade with subtle flax and off-white undertones.
Printed pattern colour:
Taupe, mushroom beige, light mocha, warm greige and softly weathered brown.
Pattern style:
A large-scale ornamental paisley and botanical print featuring:
• Oversized scrolling paisley motifs
• Curving leaves and vines
• Stylised floral medallions
• Small botanical sprigs
• Decorative seed-pod shapes
• Fine hand-drawn-style linework
• Traditional Indian-inspired ornament
• Vintage and bohemian textile influences
The pattern is detailed and closely arranged, creating a richly decorated surface without introducing bright or highly contrasting colours.
The warm taupe print stands out clearly against the lighter linen background while remaining soft and understated. This makes the fabric suitable for buyers who want patterned curtains that are decorative but still easy to coordinate with neutral interiors.
Depending on your lighting, the background may appear:
• Warm ivory
• Natural linen
• Oatmeal
• Pale cream
• Soft beige
The printed motif may appear:
• Taupe
• Mushroom brown
• Warm greige
• Light mocha
• Soft camel
• Weathered beige-brown
Colours may appear slightly different according to natural daylight, artificial lighting, surrounding furniture and wall colours, screen settings and photography.
The fabric should be considered a warm ivory and taupe neutral rather than a bright white and dark brown combination.
PURE LINEN PRINTED FABRIC
These curtains are made from thick and heavy pure linen printed fabric.
The visible natural weave gives the curtains a tactile and organic appearance. The print sits across the textured linen surface, allowing small variations in the yarn and weave to remain visible beneath the design.
The substantial fabric creates:
• A rich and attractive drape
• Natural linen texture
• Defined curtain folds
• A softly structured appearance
• A decorative printed finish
• A relaxed but luxurious window treatment
Natural linen may contain occasional slubs, fine yarn variations, thicker threads and small irregularities. These are normal characteristics of genuine linen fibres and should not be considered defects.
Minor variations in the way the print appears over individual linen yarns are also natural and contribute to the textile’s organic character.
FABRIC WEIGHT
The pure linen face fabric weighs 403 grams per linear metre at a fabric width of 54 inches.
A fabric width of 54 inches is approximately 1.3716 metres.
The approximate GSM calculation is:
403 grams ÷ 1.3716 square metres = approximately 294 grams per square metre
The pure linen face fabric therefore weighs approximately 294 GSM.
This substantial fabric weight gives the curtains body and structure while preserving the natural movement and textured appearance associated with linen.
Adding an organic cotton or blackout liner will make the completed curtain heavier, fuller and more structured.
SINGLE CURTAIN PANEL OR PAIR
These curtains can be ordered as:
• One single curtain panel
• A pair or set of two matching curtain panels
Please check the selected quantity carefully before placing your order.
Selecting “Single Panel” provides one curtain in the selected width and height.
Selecting “Pair” or “Set of 2” provides two separate curtain panels, with each individual panel made in the selected width and height.
The selected width refers to the flat finished width of each individual curtain panel before gathering.
Examples:
• One 50-inch-wide panel provides 50 inches of flat curtain width
• A pair of 50-inch-wide panels provides 100 inches of combined flat width
• One 100-inch-wide panel provides 100 inches of flat curtain width
• A pair of 100-inch-wide panels provides 200 inches of combined flat width
Curtains occupy less horizontal space after they have been gathered or arranged into folds on the curtain rod or track.
AVAILABLE WIDTHS
The standard finished-width options are:
• 50 inches wide / approximately 127 cm per panel
• 100 inches wide / approximately 254 cm per panel
The width selected in the variation menu is the flat finished width of each individual curtain panel before gathering.
For example:
If you select a pair of 50-inch-wide curtains, you will receive two panels measuring 50 inches wide each. The total combined flat width will be 100 inches.
If you select a pair of 100-inch-wide curtains, you will receive two panels measuring 100 inches wide each. The total combined flat width will be 200 inches.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT 100-INCH-WIDE CURTAINS
Every 100-inch-wide curtain panel will be made by joining two approximately 50-inch-wide fabric sections.
There will therefore be one carefully sewn vertical joining seam near the middle of each 100-inch-wide curtain panel.
The seam is generally barely visible once the curtain has been:
• Installed on the curtain rod or track
• Gathered to the appropriate fullness
• Arranged into natural folds
• Viewed from a normal distance
Joining two fabric widths is necessary because the original pure linen fabric is produced in a limited loom width.
If you purchase one 100-inch-wide panel, that panel will contain one joining seam.
If you purchase a pair of 100-inch-wide panels, each individual panel will contain its own joining seam.
We will align the paisley and floral pattern across the joined fabric sections as carefully as reasonably possible. However, exact pattern matching may vary slightly according to the pattern repeat, finished dimensions and heading construction.
AVAILABLE HEIGHTS
Standard finished curtain heights are available from 36 inches to 180 inches in 12-inch increments:
• 36 inches / approximately 91 cm
• 48 inches / approximately 122 cm
• 60 inches / approximately 152 cm
• 72 inches / approximately 183 cm
• 84 inches / approximately 213 cm
• 96 inches / approximately 244 cm
• 108 inches / approximately 274 cm
• 120 inches / approximately 305 cm
• 132 inches / approximately 335 cm
• 144 inches / approximately 366 cm
• 156 inches / approximately 396 cm
• 168 inches / approximately 427 cm
• 180 inches / approximately 457 cm
The extra-long options are suitable for:
• Floor-to-ceiling windows
• Tall living-room windows
• High-ceiling bedrooms
• Double-height spaces
• Two-storey windows
• Loft apartments
• Large picture windows
• French doors
• Formal dining rooms
• Oversized custom window treatments
CUSTOM CURTAIN SIZES
Custom widths and custom heights can also be made.
To order a customised size:
1. Measure the exact finished width and height required for each curtain panel.
2. Select the next available standard width and height larger than your required measurements.
3. Enter the exact required finished measurements in the order details email.
4. Clearly state whether the measurements are in inches or centimetres.
5. Enter the required heading style.
6. Enter the required lining option.
7. Mention whether the order is for one panel or a pair.
8. Include any other important custom instructions.
Example:
If you require each curtain panel to measure 46 inches wide by 90 inches high, select the 50-inch width and 96-inch height.
Enter the following in the order details email:
Finished size required: 46 inches wide × 90 inches high per panel
Quantity: Pair
Heading: Back Tabs
Lining: Organic Cotton Light Filtering
Please select the next available size up rather than a smaller option. The size purchased must provide enough fabric to produce your exact finished measurements.
When your required measurement falls between two standard sizes, always select the larger size and write the precise finished size in the order details email.
LINING OPTIONS
These pure linen printed curtains are available with three lining options:
1. Unlined
2. Organic Cotton Light-Filtering Lined
3. 100% Blackout OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Certified Polycotton Lined
Your chosen lining option must be entered in the order details email when placing the order.
1. UNLINED CURTAINS
The unlined option preserves the natural movement, texture and softly filtered appearance of the pure linen fabric.
When unlined, the curtains are semi-sheer privacy curtains. They soften the view through the window while allowing natural daylight to pass through the fabric.
Although the linen is thick and substantial, some light can pass through it when it is strongly backlit.
The precise level of transparency will depend on:
• The strength and direction of the sunlight
• The amount of curtain fullness
• Whether the curtains are viewed during the day or at night
• The brightness of the room behind the curtains
• Whether interior lights are switched on
• The distance between the curtains and the window
During daylight hours, the unlined curtains provide a useful degree of privacy while keeping the room naturally bright.
At night, particularly when indoor lights are switched on, shadows or silhouettes may be visible from outside. A lined option is recommended where complete nighttime privacy is required.
Choose unlined curtains when you prefer:
• The natural appearance of pure linen
• Softly filtered daylight
• A lighter completed curtain
• Semi-sheer privacy
• Decorative window panels
• Curtains layered with an existing blind or Roman shade
• A relaxed and organic drape
• Maximum visibility of the linen texture
2. ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER
The organic cotton light-filtering liner provides greater privacy, complete visual opacity, extra body and a more structured drape while still allowing softly diffused daylight into the room.
Adding the organic cotton liner makes the completed curtain opaque under normal use. The main printed linen fabric will no longer appear semi-sheer.
The organic cotton liner:
• Makes the completed curtain opaque
• Provides greater daytime privacy
• Provides greater nighttime privacy
• Softens and diffuses incoming daylight
• Adds body and structure
• Supports the substantial linen face fabric
• Creates fuller and more defined folds
• Reduces the visibility of shadows from outside
• Maintains a softly illuminated room
This lining is suitable for:
• Living rooms
• Dining rooms
• Bedrooms
• Guest rooms
• Nurseries
• Home offices
• Street-facing windows
• Rooms where privacy is important
• Spaces where natural daylight is still desired
Please note that the organic cotton liner is light filtering rather than blackout.
Daylight will continue to enter through the completed curtain, but it will be softened and diffused.
Choose this option when you want a completely opaque privacy curtain without making the room fully dark.
3. 100% BLACKOUT OEKO-TEX CERTIFIED LINER
The blackout option uses a non-toxic OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified polycotton blackout liner composed of:
• 50% cotton
• 50% polyester
This specialised liner blocks light from passing through the body of the curtain and makes the finished curtain fully opaque.
The blackout lining is recommended for:
• Bedrooms
• Nurseries
• Children’s rooms
• Guest bedrooms
• Media rooms
• Home cinemas
• Shift workers
• Street-facing windows
• Rooms receiving strong direct sunlight
• Spaces requiring maximum privacy
• Rooms where darkness is important for sleep
The blackout liner completely blocks light from passing through the curtain fabric itself.
A small amount of light may still enter around the top, sides, bottom or centre opening depending on the installation, selected curtain width and amount of overlap.
This is light entering around the curtains rather than passing through the blackout-lined fabric.
For the darkest possible result:
• Order generous curtain fullness
• Extend the curtain rod or track beyond both sides of the window
• Install the rod or track above the top of the window frame
• Allow two curtain panels to overlap at the centre
• Select a length that fully covers the window
• Position the curtains close to the wall where practical
• Ensure the panels cover the complete window opening
AVAILABLE HEADING STYLES
Four curtain heading styles are available:
1. Hooks Top
2. Back Tabs
3. Rod Pocket
4. Grommets
Your required heading style must be written in the order details email when placing the order.
1. HOOKS TOP
The hooks-top heading is compatible with both curtain rods and curtain tracks.
For installation on a curtain rod, the hooks can be attached to suitable curtain rings fitted to the rod.
For installation on a curtain track, the hooks can be connected to the runners or gliders fitted to the track.
Hooks top is suitable for:
• Curtain tracks
• Decorative rods fitted with rings
• Ceiling-mounted tracks
• Wall-mounted tracks
• Curtains opened and closed regularly
• Traditional interiors
• Transitional interiors
• Contemporary interiors
• Large or tall windows
This is the most versatile heading option for customers who require compatibility with either a curtain track or a rod-and-ring arrangement.
2. BACK TABS
Back tabs are fabric loops sewn onto the reverse side of the curtain heading.
The curtain rod passes through the concealed tabs, allowing most of the rod to remain hidden when viewed from the front.
Back-tab curtains create:
• Soft and evenly spaced folds
• A clean tailored appearance
• Minimal visible hardware
• A simple modern finish
• A gently structured drape
Back tabs are intended for use with a curtain rod and cannot be attached directly to a standard curtain track.
3. ROD POCKET
A rod pocket is a sewn fabric channel running across the top of the curtain.
The curtain rod slides directly through the pocket, creating a softly gathered and relaxed appearance.
Rod-pocket curtains are suitable for:
• Decorative curtain rods
• Living-room curtains
• Bedroom curtains
• Smaller windows
• Short curtains
• Layered window treatments
• Curtains that do not need to be opened frequently
• Custom cafe curtains
Please ensure that the diameter of your curtain rod is suitable for the rod-pocket opening.
4. GROMMETS
Grommets, also known as eyelets, are rings fitted across the top of the curtain.
The curtain rod passes directly through the grommets, creating broad and evenly spaced folds.
Grommet curtains provide:
• A clean contemporary appearance
• Deep wave-like folds
• Easy opening and closing
• Visible decorative hardware
• A modern window-treatment style
Grommet curtains require a curtain rod and cannot be attached directly to a standard curtain track.
Please ensure that the curtain rod diameter is compatible with the grommet opening.
CURTAIN FULLNESS
The selected width is the flat finished width of each curtain panel before gathering.
For an attractive gathered appearance, the combined flat curtain width should normally be wider than the usable width of the curtain rod or track.
A general guide is:
• Approximately 1.5 times fullness for a relaxed contemporary appearance
• Approximately 2 times fullness for deeper folds and a fuller, more luxurious appearance
Example for a 50-inch-wide curtain rod:
• One 50-inch-wide panel provides nearly flat coverage with minimal gathering
• A pair of 50-inch-wide panels provides 100 inches of combined flat width and approximately twice fullness
Example for a 100-inch-wide curtain rod:
• A pair of 100-inch-wide panels provides 200 inches of combined flat width and approximately twice fullness
Greater fullness creates deeper folds and allows the ivory and taupe paisley design to flow attractively across the window.
Lower fullness creates a flatter appearance and displays more complete sections of the detailed floral pattern.
HOW TO MEASURE THE CURTAIN WIDTH
1. Measure the usable width of the curtain rod or track, excluding decorative finials.
2. Decide whether you prefer approximately 1.5 or 2 times fullness.
3. Multiply the usable rod or track width by your preferred fullness.
4. Divide the resulting total width by the number of curtain panels required.
Example:
Usable curtain rod width: 80 inches
Preferred fullness: 2 times
Recommended combined curtain width: approximately 160 inches
A pair of 100-inch-wide panels would provide 200 inches of combined flat width and create generous fullness.
HOW TO MEASURE THE CURTAIN HEIGHT
Measure from the top of the installed curtain rod or track to where you want the curtains to end. For Hooks top only, subtract 1 in (2.54 cm) once from this measurement because the curtains hang slightly below the rod. Do not deduct or add an allowance for other heading styles.
The correct starting point depends on the selected heading:
• Hooks Top: Measure from the top of the installed curtain rod or track to where you want the curtains to end. For Hooks top only, subtract 1 in (2.54 cm) once from this measurement because the curtains hang slightly below the rod.
• Back Tabs: Measure from the top of the curtain rod
• Rod Pocket: Measure from the top of the curtain rod
• Grommets: Measure from the top of the installed curtain rod or track to where you want the curtains to end. Do not add an allowance above the eyelets.
Possible finished curtain lengths include:
• Window-sill length
• Below-sill length
• Apron length
• Floor length
• Lightly touching the floor
• Slightly puddling on the floor
For floor-length curtains, take measurements at several points because curtain rods and floors may not be perfectly level.

They can be ordered:

To order cafe curtains, select the next available standard size larger than your required finished dimensions and enter the exact cafe-curtain measurements in the order details email.
Example:
Cafe curtain size required: 42 inches wide × 30 inches high per panel
Quantity: Pair
Heading: Rod Pocket
Lining: Unlined
Please clearly state that the panels are required as cafe curtains.
PATTERN PLACEMENT
The exact position of the large paisley and floral pattern may vary according to:
• Curtain width
• Curtain height
• Pattern repeat
• Heading construction
• Custom measurements
• The point from which the fabric is cut
• Whether the panel contains a joining seam
When making a pair, we will position the print as consistently as reasonably possible. However, exact mirror-image pattern placement cannot always be guaranteed.
The appearance of the design will also change after the curtains are gathered.
Some paisley and floral motifs will remain visible across the front of the folds, while other parts of the design will move into the valleys between the folds. This gives the pattern a naturally layered and dimensional appearance.
