Ivory Pure Linen Dragonfly Curtains, Teal Green Embroidery & Blue Botanical Print, Custom Blackout or Light Filtering Panels
IVORY PURE LINEN DRAGONFLY CURTAINS WITH TEAL-GREEN EMBROIDERY AND A DUSTY-BLUE BOTANICAL PRINT
Bring the quiet beauty of a garden, the natural texture of heavyweight linen and the remarkable detail of genuine dragonfly embroidery to your windows with these custom-made curtain panels.
This distinctive pure linen fabric combines TWO different decorative textile techniques:
• A softly faded botanical design printed onto the linen
• Genuinely raised dragonflies embroidered over the printed background
The botanical foliage is printed rather than embroidered. Only the dragonflies are raised and stitched.
This distinction is important because it creates the fabric’s unique sense of depth. The understated blue-grey botanical print recedes gently into the warm ivory linen, while the richly colored embroidered dragonflies appear to hover above it.
The curtain face is made from thick, heavy pure linen with a naturally visible woven structure, subtle yarn variations and an elegant substantial drape.
COLOR DESCRIPTION
The pure linen ground is best described as:
• Warm ivory
• Soft off-white
• Pale natural linen
• Light oatmeal ivory
• Subtle flax-cream
• Faint oyster beige
It is not a stark optical white. The softly warm ground gives the curtains a relaxed natural appearance and prevents the blue, teal and green details from looking overly bright.
The printed botanical design includes:
• Dusty blue
• French blue
• Denim blue
• Soft blue-grey
• Steel blue
• Muted slate
• Pale duck-egg blue
• Faded teal
• Greyed sage
• Soft eucalyptus
• Mushroom taupe
• Natural beige
• Pale sand
• Weathered brown
• Muted ochre-brown accents
The printed colors have a softly faded, watercolor-like quality. Their deliberately muted character gives the background the appearance of an aged botanical study, washed garden mural or vintage nature illustration.
The genuinely embroidered dragonflies use more saturated thread colors, including:
• Moss green
• Olive green
• Fern green
• Deep forest olive
• Mint green
• Pale seafoam
• Aqua
• Turquoise
• Blue-green
• Teal
• Petrol blue
• Deep navy blue
The strongest overall color impression is:
WARM IVORY + DUSTY BLUE BOTANICALS + OLIVE GREEN + TEAL + TURQUOISE
with secondary accents of:
SAGE + TAUPE + SAND + DENIM BLUE + DEEP NAVY
MIXED PRINTED AND EMBROIDERED DESIGN
This fabric should not be described as entirely printed or entirely embroidered because it incorporates both techniques.
PRINTED BACKGROUND
Across the ivory linen is a loose, softly layered botanical print featuring:
• Slender branches
• Rounded leaves
• Elongated leaves
• Faded flowers
• Small blossoms
• Seed-like forms
• Loose botanical silhouettes
• Pale garden shadows
• Open areas of visible linen
The printed foliage is arranged organically rather than in formal rows. Some botanical forms are clearly defined, while others appear softly blurred or faded into the background.
The combination of blue-grey, sage, taupe and beige gives the design an atmospheric quality reminiscent of watercolor painting.
GENUINE DRAGONFLY EMBROIDERY
Flying across the printed garden are beautifully detailed embroidered dragonflies.
The dragonflies are not printed.
They are genuinely embroidered onto the linen using multiple thread colors, stitch directions and thread densities.
Some dragonflies feature olive and moss-green wings with dark forest-green outlines and intricately stitched wing veins. Their bodies combine teal, turquoise, mint and deep blue threads.
Other dragonflies are embroidered in seafoam, turquoise, teal, pale mint, blue-green and navy, with small olive accents.
The embroidery includes:
• Layered satin-style stitches
• Fine dark outlines
• Individually defined wing sections
• Detailed wing veining
• Segmented bodies
• Contrasting heads and thoraxes
• Slender embroidered legs
• Long tapered tails
• Subtle changes in thread direction
• Natural thread sheen
The close-up photographs show that the embroidery is visibly raised above the printed linen surface.
As daylight moves across the curtains, the stitching may reflect light differently from one direction to another. The turquoise and teal areas can appear especially luminous, while the olive sections create earthy contrast.
The dragonflies are carefully detailed without looking childish or cartoon-like. Their realistic wing construction and sophisticated colors make the design appropriate for adult living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms as well as nurseries or children’s rooms.
FABRIC AND WEIGHT
• Face fabric: Pure linen
• Fabric character: Thick, heavy and substantial
• Approximate face-fabric weight: 294 GSM
• Original supplied specification: 403 grams per linear meter at 54 inches wide
• Background technique: Professionally printed botanical design
• Surface embellishment: Genuine raised dragonfly embroidery
• Base color: Warm ivory or pale natural linen
• Printed colors: Dusty blue, blue-grey, sage, taupe and beige
• Embroidery colors: Olive, moss, mint, turquoise, teal and deep blue
The supplied weight of 403 grams per linear meter for 54-inch-wide fabric converts to approximately 294 grams per square meter.
This heavyweight construction gives the curtains considerably more body and presence than lightweight linen voile. The fabric falls into attractive vertical folds while retaining the visible texture and relaxed character of genuine linen.
SINGLE PANEL OR PAIR OF TWO
These curtains can be ordered as:
• One individual curtain panel
• One pair or set of two curtain panels
Please select the correct quantity from the variation menu.
The measurements shown in the size menu refer to EACH INDIVIDUAL CURTAIN PANEL, not the combined measurement of a pair.
Examples:
• One 50-inch panel provides 50 inches of flat fabric width
• A pair of 50-inch panels provides 100 inches of combined flat width
• One 100-inch panel provides 100 inches of flat fabric width
• A pair of 100-inch panels provides 200 inches of combined flat width
AVAILABLE WIDTHS
• 50 inches wide — approximately 127 cm
• 100 inches wide — approximately 254 cm
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR 100-INCH-WIDE CURTAINS
The linen fabric is produced in approximately 50-inch usable widths.
Every finished 100-inch-wide curtain panel will therefore be constructed by joining two approximately 50-inch fabric sections.
There will be one vertical joining seam near the middle of each 100-inch-wide curtain.
The seam is professionally finished and generally becomes barely visible after the curtain is installed, gathered and arranged into folds. It may remain visible when the curtain is laid completely flat or examined from close range.
This joining method is required for producing extra-wide panels from the available fabric width and is a normal feature of custom drapery construction.
AVAILABLE LENGTHS
Standard finished lengths are available from 36 inches to 180 inches in 12-inch increments:
• 36 inches — approximately 91 cm
• 48 inches — approximately 122 cm
• 60 inches — approximately 152 cm
• 72 inches — approximately 183 cm
• 84 inches — approximately 213 cm
• 96 inches — approximately 244 cm
• 108 inches — approximately 274 cm
• 120 inches — approximately 305 cm
• 132 inches — approximately 335 cm
• 144 inches — approximately 366 cm
• 156 inches — approximately 396 cm
• 168 inches — approximately 427 cm
• 180 inches — approximately 457 cm
These options include short-window curtains, standard bedroom and living-room lengths, floor-length panels, patio-door curtains, tall-window drapes and extra-long curtains for double-height rooms or high ceilings.
CUSTOM CURTAIN SIZES
Custom finished measurements are welcome.
If your exact required size is not displayed, select the next available standard size larger than your required finished dimensions. Enter your exact finished width and length in the order details email.
Example:
If you require a finished curtain measuring 50 inches wide × 89 inches long, select the 50 × 96-inch option and write:
“Exact finished size required: 50 W × 89 L inches.”
Please do not select a standard size smaller than your requested finished measurement. The selected size must provide enough fabric for the customization.
LINING OPTIONS
Choose from three light-control and privacy options.
1. UNLINED — SEMI-SHEER PRIVACY
The unlined pure linen curtain softly filters natural daylight while displaying the fabric’s most relaxed drape and clearest interaction with sunlight.
The substantial linen and decorated surface provide useful daytime privacy. However, the unlined curtain should still be considered semi-sheer rather than completely opaque.
Silhouettes may be visible from outside at night when the room is brightly illuminated.
The unlined option works well in:
• Living rooms
• Dining rooms
• Kitchens
• Studies
• Sunrooms
• Creative spaces
• Rooms where filtered daylight is preferred
2. ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER
The organic cotton liner adds body, increases privacy and makes the curtain completely opaque while continuing to admit softly diffused daylight.
Choose organic cotton lining when you want:
• Complete visual privacy
• An opaque curtain
• Soft light filtration
• A fuller curtain body
• A more structured drape
• A natural-fiber lining option
The cotton liner removes the semi-sheer quality of the unlined linen without creating complete darkness.
3. 100% BLACKOUT OEKO-TEX CERTIFIED POLYCOTTON LINER
Choose the blackout liner when maximum darkness is required.
The OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified blackout polycotton liner is composed of 50% cotton and 50% polyester. It is designed to block light completely through the lined curtain fabric.
The blackout option is ideal for:
• Bedrooms
• Nurseries
• Children’s rooms
• Media rooms
• Home theaters
• Shift workers
• Light-sensitive sleepers
• Rooms used for daytime sleeping
A small amount of light may still enter around the top, bottom or sides of the installed curtain if gaps remain between the panel and the window.
For the darkest result, install the curtains above and beyond the window opening and choose enough curtain width to provide full coverage and center overlap.
FOUR AVAILABLE HEADING STYLES
Please specify one of the following top styles.
HOOKS TOP
The hooks-top heading is compatible with both curtain rods and curtain tracks.
It can be installed using curtain rings on a rod or suitable gliders on a track. This is a versatile option for bay windows, ceiling tracks and traditional drapery installations.
BACK TABS
Fabric tabs are sewn discreetly across the reverse of the heading. The rod passes through the hidden tabs, leaving the front of the curtain clean and uncluttered.
Back tabs create soft, evenly spaced folds and complement modern farmhouse, cottagecore and relaxed contemporary interiors.
ROD POCKET
A fabric channel is sewn across the top of the curtain, allowing the panel to slide directly onto a suitable curtain rod.
Rod-pocket curtains create a softly gathered and relaxed appearance.
GROMMETS
Metal grommets or eyelets are installed across the curtain heading. The rod passes directly through the openings.
Grommets create broad, regular folds and allow the curtain to move easily along a suitable rod.
PERSONALIZATION INFORMATION REQUIRED
Please enter all of the following information in the order details email:
1. Heading style: Hooks Top, Back Tabs, Rod Pocket or Grommets
2. Lining choice: Unlined, Organic Cotton or Blackout
3. Exact finished width and length if ordering a custom size
4. Any other essential order instructions
Personalization example:
“Heading: Hooks Top
Liner: Organic Cotton
Exact finished size: 50 W × 90 L inches
Quantity: Pair of two panels”
Missing heading or lining information may delay production while we contact you for clarification.
HOW TO CHOOSE CURTAIN WIDTH
Measure the complete width of your curtain rod or track rather than measuring only the window glass.
For a lightly gathered appearance, the combined flat width of the curtains should generally be approximately 1.5 times the width being covered.
For a fuller, more luxurious appearance, the combined flat width should generally be approximately twice the rod or track width.
Example for a 100-inch-wide rod:
• Two 50-inch panels provide 100 inches of combined flat width and a relatively tailored appearance
• Two 100-inch panels provide 200 inches of combined flat width and a considerably fuller gathered appearance
Allow additional width for center overlap, side coverage and your preferred amount of fullness.

NATURAL LINEN CHARACTERISTICS
Pure linen contains visible fibers, subtle slubs, occasional changes in yarn thickness and minor woven irregularities.
These are normal characteristics of genuine linen and contribute to its natural appearance. They should not be regarded as defects.
EMBROIDERY CHARACTERISTICS
The dragonflies contain multiple stitch directions and thread colors. The embroidery may look lighter, darker or more reflective depending on the viewing angle.
Small variations in embroidery placement and stitching are normal characteristics of decorated fabric.
PATTERN PLACEMENT
This is a large, organically arranged botanical pattern.
The exact placement of the printed foliage and embroidered dragonflies will vary according to the selected panel dimensions and where each curtain is cut from the fabric repeat.
Every curtain will contain a balanced section of the overall design, but the dragonflies may not appear in precisely the same positions shown in the small swatch photographs.
For pairs, the panels will be coordinated to create a balanced overall presentation. Exact mirror-image placement may not always be possible because of the fabric repeat and custom measurements.
COLOR DISCLAIMER
The linen ground may appear warm ivory, soft cream, pale oatmeal or natural off-white depending on the lighting.
The printed foliage may read as dusty blue, blue-grey, duck egg, sage, taupe or faded teal. The embroidery may shift visually between olive, moss, mint, turquoise, teal and deep blue as light moves across the threads.
Screen calibration, phone brightness and surrounding wall colors can influence how these nuanced shades appear. Ordering a swatch before purchasing multiple or extra-large custom panels is recommended whenever exact color matching is essential.
