STAR EMBROIDERY AND COLOURS

The linen base is a warm ivory or soft off-white with a subtle cream undertone. Scattered five-point stars appear in different sizes and embroidery finishes, creating depth while leaving open space between the motifs.

The design includes:

• Small, densely embroidered stars in champagne beige, sandy taupe and soft gold-toned thread.
• Larger open stars with double embroidered outlines and the ivory base visible inside.
• Larger stars with raised, fluffy white centres.
• Smooth embroidered borders in champagne beige and muted blue-grey around the textured white stars.

Each shade is made to the measurements supplied with your order. The number and position of stars will vary according to the finished dimensions and fabric cut. Larger motifs may fall across folds or near the edges of the shade.

CHOOSE YOUR LINING

Organic cotton light-filtering lining

Choose organic cotton lining for softened daylight and added privacy. This backing allows some light to filter through while adding a layer behind the embroidered linen.

The face fabric, embroidery and lining all influence how much light enters the room. This option filters daylight rather than providing blackout performance.

100% blackout polycotton lining

Choose blackout lining for maximum light blocking through the lined fabric. The liner contains 50% cotton and 50% polyester and is OEKO-TEX certified, tested for harmful substances.

The 100% blackout specification refers to light passing through the lining itself. Some light may still enter around the edges of an installed shade, depending on the fit and mounting position. An outside mount with sufficient overlap can help reduce these light gaps.

CORDED OPERATION

This functional Roman blind uses a white beaded plastic operating cord to raise and lower the shade. Adjust the height to change window coverage and incoming light.

CUSTOM SIZING

The dropdown ranges determine your order’s size bracket. Your personalisation details specify the measurements required for your window.

If a fractional measurement falls between two listed brackets, choose the next bracket up and provide the exact measurement. Do not round your required dimensions down.

Measurements may be supplied in inches or centimetres. Please state the unit clearly and always write width first, followed by height.

HOW TO MEASURE FOR AN INSIDE MOUNT

An inside mount fits the Roman shade within the window recess.

1. Using a metal tape measure, measure the internal recess width at the top, where the blind will be fitted.

2. Check the width at the middle and bottom as well. If the recess narrows, include these additional measurements in your notes so the fit can be checked.

3. Measure the height from the inside top of the recess to your desired bottom position.

4. Check the recess depth and note any handles, tiles or inward-opening windows that could obstruct the shade.

5. Enter your exact recess width and height and write “Inside mount – recess measurements” in the order details email.

Do not subtract a fitting allowance yourself when supplying recess measurements. If you require a specific finished blind size instead, clearly label your dimensions “Finished blind size”.

HOW TO MEASURE FOR AN OUTSIDE MOUNT

An outside mount positions the Roman shade above the window and extends beyond the recess.

1. Measure the width of the window recess.

2. Add approximately 2 inches / 5.08 cm on each side, giving 4 inches / 10.16 cm of additional width in total.

3. Choose the mounting point above the window. Around 4 inches / 10.16 cm above the recess is a useful starting point, subject to available space.

4. Measure from your chosen mounting point down to where you want the shade to finish. This is the required finished height.

5. Enter the finished width and height, including your chosen overlap, and write “Outside mount – finished blind measurements”.

Allow room for the raised fabric folds and check that they will not interfere with the window opening.

INSTALLATION HARDWARE INCLUDED

Your order includes hardware for both mounting options:

• Clamps for fitting inside the window recess.
• Separate clamps for fitting outside the window recess.
• Screws.

Use the appropriate clamps for your chosen installation. Additional wall plugs or specialist fixings may be required depending on the mounting surface.

COLOUR AND EMBROIDERY NOTES

The overall palette is warm ivory, white and champagne beige, with sandy taupe shading and muted blue-grey accents. Embroidery threads may appear lighter or darker as the light catches their surface.

Screen settings and room lighting can affect colour appearance. Star placement will vary with the fabric cut and finished shade dimensions.
