Indigo Blue Palm Leaf Linen Curtains, White Embroidered Botanical Drapes, Custom Blackout or Light Filtering Panels
Bring an elegant botanical statement to your windows with these thick and heavy pure linen embroidered curtains, featuring elongated palm-frond and fern-like leaves stitched in layered indigo, denim blue and deep navy-blue tones over a clean soft-white linen background.
The embroidery has a beautiful hand-sketched quality, with fine irregular lines creating the appearance of individually drawn leaf veins and delicate botanical branches. Large and small palm leaves are arranged in a spacious repeating pattern, allowing the natural white linen background to remain visible between the motifs. The cool blue-and-white palette feels fresh, sophisticated and easy to coordinate while the detailed embroidery gives the curtains texture and visual depth.
These are embroidered curtains rather than printed curtains. The blue botanical design is created with thread, giving the leaves a softly raised, tactile finish that is visible when the fabric is viewed closely. The heavy linen construction allows the curtains to fall into substantial, structured folds while retaining the natural slubs and slightly irregular character associated with pure linen.
The combination of a white background and indigo-blue palm leaves works beautifully with coastal, modern farmhouse, botanical, contemporary, Scandinavian, transitional, bohemian, lake-house and relaxed traditional interiors. These curtains can complement white, cream, navy, light grey, natural wood, rattan, cane, weathered oak and neutral upholstered furniture.

FABRIC AND DESIGN
Material: Thick and heavy pure linen embroidered fabric
Base colour: Soft white to ivory-white
Embroidery colour: Indigo blue with denim-blue and deeper navy-blue thread detailing
Pattern: Repeating embroidered palm fronds, fern leaves and elongated botanical branches
Design style: Botanical, coastal, organic modern, contemporary farmhouse and blue-and-white home decor
Fabric weight: Approximately 294 GSM. This has been converted from 403 grams per linear metre for fabric measuring 54 inches wide.
Because linen is a naturally textured fibre, small slubs, subtle variations and minor irregularities may appear in the weave. These are characteristic features of linen and should not be considered defects. The embroidery also has a deliberately organic, hand-drawn appearance rather than a rigid or digitally perfect outline.
SINGLE CURTAIN OR PAIR
The curtains can be ordered as:
One single curtain panel
Or
A pair/set of two curtain panels
Please check the selected quantity option carefully before completing your purchase. When ordering a pair, you will receive two separate curtains in the selected finished size.
The measurements displayed in the size menu refer to the finished size of each individual curtain, not the combined measurement of the pair.
For example:
A pair of 50-inch-wide curtains contains two curtains measuring 50 inches wide each, giving a combined flat fabric width of approximately 100 inches.
A pair of 100-inch-wide curtains contains two curtains measuring 100 inches wide each, giving a combined flat fabric width of approximately 200 inches.
AVAILABLE WIDTHS
50 inches wide — approximately 127 cm
100 inches wide — approximately 254 cm
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR 100-INCH-WIDE CURTAINS
Our embroidery fabric is produced in a standard width. Therefore, every 100-inch-wide curtain will be constructed by carefully joining two approximately 50-inch fabric widths.
A vertical joining seam will be present near the centre of each 100-inch-wide curtain. We align the fabric and embroidery as carefully as the pattern permits and finish the seam neatly. Once the curtain is installed, gathered and arranged into folds, the centre seam is normally barely noticeable.
Please select the 50-inch width when you prefer a curtain made from a single fabric width without a centre joining seam.
AVAILABLE LENGTHS
36 inches — approximately 91 cm
48 inches — approximately 122 cm
60 inches — approximately 152 cm
72 inches — approximately 183 cm
84 inches — approximately 213 cm
96 inches — approximately 244 cm
108 inches — approximately 274 cm
120 inches — approximately 305 cm
132 inches — approximately 335 cm
144 inches — approximately 366 cm
156 inches — approximately 396 cm
168 inches — approximately 427 cm
180 inches — approximately 457 cm
These standard lengths are available in increments of 12 inches. Custom finished lengths and widths can also be produced.
CUSTOM SIZES
We are happy to make these embroidered linen curtains according to your exact window measurements.
For a custom size:
1. Determine the exact finished width and finished length required for each curtain.
2. Select the next available listing size that is equal to or larger than your required measurements.
3. Enter the exact required finished width and length in the order details email.
4. Also mention whether you need one curtain or a pair of curtains.
5. Include your preferred heading style.
6. Include your preferred liner option: unlined, organic cotton light filtering or 100% blackout.
For example, when you require a curtain measuring 46 inches wide by 79 inches long, select the 50-inch-wide by 84-inch-long option and enter “Finished size required: 46 W x 79 H inches” in the order details email.
Please do not select a listing size smaller than your required custom finished measurements.
LINING OPTIONS
These curtains are available with three finishing choices:
1. Unlined
The unlined version preserves the natural appearance, movement and texture of the embroidered linen.
Unlined curtains gently filter daylight and have a light, semi-sheer quality when illuminated from behind. They provide a degree of daytime privacy while still allowing natural light to enter the room.
At night, when interior lights are switched on, shapes or silhouettes may remain visible from outside. Unlined curtains are therefore best for rooms where complete privacy or complete darkness is not required.
The reverse side of the embroidery and threadwork may be visible on unlined curtains.
2. Organic cotton light-filtering liner
The organic cotton liner adds body, opacity and privacy while retaining a softly illuminated appearance during daylight hours.
This option is recommended when you want:
Greater privacy
A more opaque finished curtain
A fuller and heavier drape
Reduced visibility of the reverse embroidery
Softly filtered natural light
A natural-fibre lining option
The cotton lining helps make the curtains substantially more private and opaque but is not intended to create a completely dark room.
3. OEKO-TEX certified 100% blackout polycotton liner
Our blackout option uses an OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified polycotton lining made from approximately 50% cotton and 50% polyester.
The blackout material itself blocks incoming light and is the best choice for:
Bedrooms
Nurseries
Children’s rooms
Media rooms
Shift workers
Street-facing windows
Rooms requiring maximum privacy
Reducing early-morning daylight
Creating a darker sleeping environment
Please remember that although the lining material is 100% blackout, a small amount of light can enter around the top, sides or bottom of a curtain depending on the installation, curtain fullness and distance from the wall.
LINER VISIBILITY
The liner is attached to the reverse of the embroidered linen. It is not intended to show from the front when the curtain is installed normally.
The front of the curtain will display the white linen base and indigo-blue botanical embroidery. The lining will be visible primarily from the window-facing side.
AVAILABLE HEADING STYLES
Please enter one of the following four heading styles in the order details email:
1. Hooks top
The hooks-top finish is suitable for both curtain rods and ceiling- or wall-mounted curtain tracks.
For a rod installation, the hooks can be attached to curtain rings.
For a track installation, the hooks connect to compatible track gliders or carriers.
This heading creates a versatile, neatly gathered appearance and is particularly useful when the home already has an installed track system.
Rings, rods and track gliders are not included unless specifically stated in the order.
2. Back tabs
Fabric tabs are sewn discreetly onto the reverse side of the curtain heading. The curtain rod passes through these hidden tabs, producing soft, even folds while keeping most of the rod concealed.
Back-tab curtains create a clean and tailored appearance without visible loops on the front.
3. Rod pocket
A fabric channel is sewn across the top of the curtain so that the rod can slide directly through it.
Rod-pocket curtains provide a softly gathered, relaxed appearance and work particularly well with decorative curtain rods.
Please ensure that your rod diameter is suitable for the pocket before ordering.
4. Grommets
Metal eyelets are installed across the curtain heading and the rod passes directly through the openings.
Grommet curtains create broad, regular waves and are easy to open and close. They are suitable for conventional curtain rods but are not compatible with most ceiling tracks.
PERSONALIZATION INFORMATION REQUIRED
Please include the following information in the order details email with every order:
Heading style: Hooks top, back tabs, rod pocket or grommets
Liner choice: Unlined, organic cotton light filtering or 100% blackout
Exact custom finished measurements, when applicable
Any other important installation information
Example:
“Back tabs, organic cotton light-filtering liner, standard selected size.”
Or:
“Custom finished size 47 inches wide x 92 inches long per curtain, pair of two, hooks top, blackout liner.”
If no heading or liner choice is entered, we may contact you before beginning production, which can delay completion of the order.
HOW TO CHOOSE CURTAIN WIDTH
Curtain width determines how full or gathered the curtains will appear after installation.
For a lightly gathered appearance, the combined flat width of the curtains should generally be approximately 1.5 times the width of the rod or track.
For a fuller, more luxurious appearance, the combined flat width can be approximately twice the width of the rod or track.
Example:
For a 70-inch-wide rod, a pair of 50-inch-wide curtains provides a combined flat width of 100 inches and a moderate gathered appearance.
For a 100-inch-wide rod, a pair of 100-inch-wide curtains provides a combined flat width of 200 inches and a fuller appearance.
The ideal fullness also depends on the selected heading style, personal preference and how much of the window you want covered when the curtains are open.
HOW TO MEASURE THE LENGTH
Hooks top:
Measure from the point where the curtain hook will attach to the desired finished bottom position.
Back tabs:
Measure from the top of the curtain rod to the desired finished bottom position.
Rod pocket:
Measure from the top of the curtain rod to the desired finished bottom position. Allow for any fabric that may sit above the rod, depending on the pocket construction.
Grommets:
Measure from the top edge of the curtain rod to the desired finished bottom position. The top of a grommet curtain usually extends slightly above the rod.
Possible finished lengths include:
Just below the windowsill
Below the window trim
Floor length
Slightly above the floor
Breaking gently on the floor
Long puddled curtains
For floor-length curtains, measure in several places because floors and rods are not always perfectly level. Use the shortest measurement when you want the curtains to remain clear of the floor.
CAFE CURTAINS AND SHORT WINDOW CURTAINS
We can also make custom cafe curtains, kitchen tier curtains and short window panels from this embroidered blue-and-white linen.
Cafe curtains usually cover the lower portion of a window while allowing light to enter through the upper section. They are particularly suitable for:
Kitchen windows
Breakfast nooks
Bathroom windows
Utility rooms
Small dining spaces
Cabinet openings
Half windows
Cottage and farmhouse interiors
For custom cafe curtains, select the next available size up and enter the exact finished dimensions in the order details email.
PATTERN PLACEMENT
The embroidered palm-frond pattern repeats across the fabric. The exact placement of individual leaves will vary according to the selected curtain width, length and cutting position.
On a pair of curtains, we will make reasonable efforts to create a balanced overall appearance. However, the panels may not be perfectly identical or mirror images of one another unless this is specifically agreed before ordering.
Pattern matching across the centre seam of a 100-inch-wide curtain will be completed as closely as the repeat and usable fabric width permit. A completely uninterrupted match cannot always be guaranteed with embroidered motifs.
COLOUR INFORMATION
The fabric has a soft white or lightly ivory-toned linen ground rather than a stark synthetic optical white. The embroidery combines medium indigo and denim-blue tones with deeper blue outlines and thread shadows.
The colour may appear slightly lighter, darker, cooler or warmer depending on:
Natural daylight
Artificial room lighting
Screen brightness
Phone or computer display settings
Camera exposure
Surrounding wall colours
Ordering a fabric sample before purchasing a large custom order is recommended when an exact colour match is important.
CARE
Professional dry cleaning is the safest recommended cleaning method for embroidered and lined linen curtains.
Avoid harsh detergents, bleach, aggressive rubbing and high-temperature tumble drying, as these may affect the linen, embroidery thread, lining or finished dimensions.
Use a low-temperature iron or gentle steam from the reverse side when necessary. Do not press a very hot iron directly onto the raised embroidery.
Light creasing may occur during folding and international transit. These creases normally relax after hanging and may be reduced with gentle steaming.
WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE
Your order will contain either:
One embroidered linen curtain panel
Or
One pair/set of two embroidered linen curtain panels
The quantity supplied will correspond to the single-panel or pair option selected during checkout.
Curtain rods, rings, tracks, gliders and decorative accessories are not included unless they are specifically listed as part of your order.
These blue palm-leaf embroidered linen curtains offer a distinctive alternative to ordinary printed window panels. The crisp white ground, detailed indigo botanical stitching and substantial linen texture create a versatile window treatment that can feel coastal and relaxed, modern and graphic, or quietly traditional depending on the surrounding decor.
