How to measure (important)
Inside recess mount (inside the window frame)

1. Measure the inside width of the recess in 3 places: top, middle, bottom.

2. Use the smallest width and write that as your exact width.

3. Measure the inside drop/height in 3 places (left, middle, right).

4. Use the largest height (or the exact point you want the shade to stop) and write that as your exact length.
Tip: Check you have enough depth in your recess for the shade stack and hardware.

Outside recess mount (on the wall/trim above the window)

1. Decide how much coverage you want beyond the window frame. A common choice is 2–4 inches (5–10 cm) extra on each side for better light control.

2. Measure the full width you want covered (window width + added overlap) and write that as your exact width.

3. Measure from where you will install the top of the shade down to where you want it to end, and write that as your exact length.
Tip: Mounting a little higher than the frame can make the window look taller and helps reduce light gaps.
