1. Measure the exact width and height required.

IMPORTANT

Your Roman shade will be manufactured according to the exact measurements entered in the order details email rather than simply being made to the maximum measurement of the selected range.

HOW TO MEASURE – INSIDE RECESS

Inside-recess installation means the Roman blind is installed within the window recess.

1. Measure the exact internal width of the recess at the top where the Roman shade will be fitted.
2. Measure the exact height of the window recess.
3. Use a rigid metal measuring tape wherever possible.
4. Enter the exact recess width and exact recess height in the order details email.
5. Mention “Inside Recess” in the order details email.

Please provide the actual recess measurements rather than making your own deductions unless specifically discussed with us beforehand.

HOW TO MEASURE – OUTSIDE RECESS

Outside-recess installation means the Roman blind is installed over and around the window opening.

For good window coverage, we recommend adding approximately:

2 inches / 5 cm on the left side
2 inches / 5 cm on the right side

This means approximately 4 inches / 10 cm should be added to the total window width.

For the height, measure from approximately 4 inches / 10 cm above the window frame down to the point where you would like the Roman shade to finish.

Outside-recess installation can provide greater coverage around the window and is particularly useful when choosing the blackout liner.
