Dusty Indigo Blue Pure Linen Curtains, Ivory Botanical Leaf Print Drapes, Custom Extra Long Blackout Panels
DUSTY INDIGO BLUE PURE LINEN CURTAINS WITH IVORY BOTANICAL LEAF PRINT
Bring natural linen texture, sophisticated blue colour and timeless botanical pattern to your windows with these custom-made thick and heavy pure linen printed curtains.
The fabric features a muted dusty indigo to denim-periwinkle blue background printed with a repeating warm ivory botanical motif.
Each individual motif resembles a stylised leaf or small tree with a central stem and symmetrical leaves, enclosed within a softly scalloped, shield-like botanical medallion. The motifs are arranged in a neat all-over repeat, creating a balanced pattern that feels decorative without being overly busy.
The design has an Indian block-print-inspired and folk botanical character while the restrained blue-and-ivory colour palette makes it equally suitable for modern farmhouse, bohemian, Scandinavian, coastal, transitional and contemporary interiors.
From a normal viewing distance, the curtains read primarily as:
DUSTY INDIGO BLUE + WARM IVORY
At closer range, the natural linen weave and subtle variations within the blue ground become more noticeable.
The overall colour is softer and more muted than a dark navy blue. It sits between:
• Dusty indigo
• Denim blue
• Muted periwinkle blue
• Slate blue
• Soft blue-violet
The printed motif is a warm ivory to natural off-white rather than a bright optical white.
These curtains are individually made to order and can be purchased as:
• One single curtain panel
• A pair / set of 2 matching curtain panels
They are available:
• Unlined
• With an organic cotton light-filtering liner
• With a 100% blackout OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified polycotton liner
COLOUR DESCRIPTION
MAIN BACKGROUND COLOUR
The main curtain colour is a muted dusty indigo blue.
It has a softened, slightly greyed quality rather than the intense saturated appearance of royal blue or bright cobalt.
Depending on the lighting, the blue may appear:
• Dusty indigo
• Denim blue
• Muted periwinkle
• Slate blue
• Blue grey
• Soft cornflower-indigo
In warmer room lighting, it may appear slightly softer and more violet-toned.
In cool natural daylight, the fabric may appear more slate blue or denim blue.
BOTANICAL PRINT COLOUR
The repeating botanical motif is a soft warm ivory.
Depending on your room lighting, it may appear:
• Ivory
• Natural cream
• Warm off-white
• Flax white
• Pale oatmeal
The contrast is deliberately softer than a pure white-on-navy combination.
This gives the fabric a more natural, relaxed and sophisticated appearance.
BOTANICAL LEAF PATTERN
The repeating design features stylised botanical motifs arranged evenly across the fabric.
Each motif contains:
• A central vertical stem
• Small symmetrical leaves
• A larger outer leaf or shield-shaped outline
• A softly scalloped border
• A simple folk-art botanical form
The overall pattern has influences from:
• Indian textile motifs
• Block-print-inspired designs
• Folk botanical patterns
• Bohemian decor
• Scandinavian botanical styling
• Modern farmhouse interiors
• Traditional hand-drawn textile designs
The pattern is clean and repetitive rather than highly detailed or floral.
Because the motif is relatively simple and evenly spaced, the curtains remain easy to coordinate with other patterned furnishings.
The design works especially well when paired with:
• Plain linen upholstery
• Neutral bedding
• Striped cushions
• Natural wood furniture
• Woven rugs
• Warm ivory walls
• Soft grey walls
• Navy accents
• Brass or black curtain hardware
PRINTED PURE LINEN FABRIC
These curtains are made from thick and heavy pure linen printed fabric.
The botanical design is printed onto the natural linen face fabric.
The underlying linen weave remains visible, giving the print a more tactile and organic appearance than it would have on a completely smooth synthetic fabric.
Natural linen provides:
• Visible woven texture
• Organic character
• Natural fibre variation
• Substantial drape
• A relaxed designer appearance
• Beautiful interaction with daylight
Because linen is a natural fibre, the fabric can contain:
• Small slubs
• Slight yarn irregularities
• Fine thick-and-thin areas
• Natural woven variations
• Occasional tiny fibre imperfections
These are normal characteristics of genuine linen and are not considered manufacturing defects.
The way the printed design interacts with individual linen yarns can also create tiny natural variations in colour density.
This contributes to the authentic textile appearance.
FABRIC WEIGHT
The pure linen face fabric weighs 403 grams per linear metre at a fabric width of 54 inches.
54 inches is approximately 1.3716 metres.
403 grams divided by 1.3716 square metres equals approximately 294 grams per square metre.
The face fabric therefore weighs approximately:
294 GSM
This is a substantial and heavy linen curtain fabric.
The approximately 294 GSM weight gives the curtains excellent body while preserving the natural movement and texture associated with pure linen.
Adding either the organic cotton lining or blackout lining will make the completed curtain heavier, fuller and more structured.
SINGLE PANEL OR PAIR / SET OF 2
These curtains can be purchased as:
SINGLE PANEL
You will receive one individual curtain in the selected width and height.
PAIR / SET OF 2
You will receive two matching curtain panels.
Each individual curtain in the pair will be made in the selected width and height.
IMPORTANT:
The width shown in the listing refers to the FLAT FINISHED WIDTH OF EACH INDIVIDUAL CURTAIN before gathering.
Examples:
One 50-inch-wide curtain:
50 inches total flat width.
Pair of 50-inch-wide curtains:
50 inches wide each.
100 inches combined flat width.
One 100-inch-wide curtain:
100 inches total flat width.
Pair of 100-inch-wide curtains:
100 inches wide each.
200 inches combined flat width.
Please remember that curtains occupy less horizontal space once they are gathered into folds on a curtain rod or track.
AVAILABLE WIDTHS
Standard finished width options:
• 50 inches / approximately 127 cm per curtain
• 100 inches / approximately 254 cm per curtain
The selected width is the flat finished width of EACH individual curtain panel.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT 100-INCH-WIDE CURTAINS
Every 100-inch-wide curtain panel will be made by joining two approximately 50-inch-wide sections of fabric.
There will therefore be one carefully sewn vertical joining seam near the middle of each 100-inch-wide curtain.
The seam is generally barely visible once the curtain has been:
• Installed on the rod or track
• Gathered into folds
• Properly arranged
• Viewed from a normal distance
This joining method is necessary because the original pure linen fabric is produced in a limited loom width.
If you purchase:
ONE 100-INCH-WIDE PANEL
That curtain will contain one joining seam.
A PAIR OF 100-INCH-WIDE PANELS
Each individual curtain will contain its own joining seam.
We will align the repeating botanical leaf pattern across the joined fabric sections as carefully as reasonably possible.
However, exact continuation of every individual motif cannot always be guaranteed because this depends on:
• Pattern repeat
• Finished curtain dimensions
• Cutting position
• Heading construction
• Exact placement of individual motifs
Once the curtains are installed and gathered into folds, the joining seam is normally barely noticeable.
AVAILABLE HEIGHTS
Standard finished heights are available from 36 inches to 180 inches in 12-inch increments:
• 36 inches / approximately 91 cm
• 48 inches / approximately 122 cm
• 60 inches / approximately 152 cm
• 72 inches / approximately 183 cm
• 84 inches / approximately 213 cm
• 96 inches / approximately 244 cm
• 108 inches / approximately 274 cm
• 120 inches / approximately 305 cm
• 132 inches / approximately 335 cm
• 144 inches / approximately 366 cm
• 156 inches / approximately 396 cm
• 168 inches / approximately 427 cm
• 180 inches / approximately 457 cm
The extensive height range makes these curtains suitable for:
• Standard bedroom windows
• Living-room windows
• Dining-room windows
• Nursery windows
• French doors
• Large picture windows
• Sliding doors
• Floor-to-ceiling windows
• Loft apartments
• High ceilings
• Double-height spaces

LINING OPTIONS
These pure linen printed curtains are available with three lining choices:
1. UNLINED
2. ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER
3. 100% BLACKOUT OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 CERTIFIED POLYCOTTON LINER
Your required lining option must be entered in the order details email.
1. UNLINED CURTAINS
Choose the unlined option if you prefer the most natural appearance, texture and drape of the pure linen face fabric.
When unlined, these curtains provide semi-sheer privacy.
The face fabric itself is thick and substantial, but some natural daylight can still pass through the linen when it is strongly backlit.
The exact degree of transparency depends on:
• Strength of sunlight
• Direction of sunlight
• Time of day
• Curtain fullness
• Interior lighting
• Distance between curtain and window
• Whether the fabric is viewed from inside or outside
During normal daytime use, the curtains soften the view through the window and provide a useful degree of privacy while retaining natural daylight.
At night, particularly when indoor lights are switched on, shadows or silhouettes may be visible from outside.
Choose UNLINED when you want:
• Maximum natural linen character
• Soft filtered daylight
• Semi-sheer privacy
• A lighter completed curtain
• Natural relaxed folds
• Decorative living-room curtains
• Layering with an existing blind or Roman shade
• Maximum visibility of the printed pattern and linen weave
For complete opacity and stronger privacy, choose one of the lined options.
2. ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER
The organic cotton light-filtering liner is ideal where you want complete visual opacity and increased privacy while still allowing softly diffused natural light into the room.
Adding the cotton liner makes the completed curtain opaque under normal viewing conditions.
The pure linen face fabric will no longer appear semi-sheer.
The organic cotton liner:
• Makes the finished curtain opaque
• Provides increased daytime privacy
• Provides increased nighttime privacy
• Softens incoming daylight
• Diffuses harsh sunlight
• Adds body
• Supports the substantial linen face fabric
• Creates fuller curtain folds
• Gives the curtains a richer and more structured drape
This option is especially suitable for:
• Living rooms
• Dining rooms
• Bedrooms
• Guest rooms
• Nurseries
• Home offices
• Street-facing windows
• Rooms where privacy is important
Please note:
The organic cotton liner is LIGHT FILTERING.
It is not blackout.
Daylight will still enter through the finished curtain, but it will be softened and diffused.
Choose the organic cotton lining when you want:
COMPLETE OPACITY + PRIVACY + SOFT NATURAL LIGHT
3. 100% BLACKOUT OEKO-TEX CERTIFIED LINER
Choose the 100% blackout lining where maximum light control is required.
The blackout liner is an OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, non-toxic polycotton fabric composed of:
• 50% Cotton
• 50% Polyester
The liner prevents light from passing directly through the body of the curtain fabric.
This makes the completed curtain fully opaque.
The blackout option is particularly suitable for:
• Bedrooms
• Nurseries
• Children’s rooms
• Guest bedrooms
• Media rooms
• Home cinemas
• Shift workers
• Street-facing bedrooms
• Rooms receiving strong direct sunlight
• Rooms where darkness is important for sleeping
• Spaces requiring maximum privacy
Please remember that blackout curtain FABRIC and a completely blacked-out ROOM are not exactly the same thing.
The blackout liner blocks light passing THROUGH the body of the curtain.
Some light can still enter:
• Above the curtains
• Around the outer edges
• Beneath the curtains
• Through the centre gap between two panels
This depends on how the curtains are installed.
For the darkest possible result:
• Order generous curtain fullness
• Extend the curtain rod or track beyond both sides of the window
• Install the curtains above the window opening
• Allow two panels to overlap slightly at the centre
• Select sufficient curtain length
• Position the curtains reasonably close to the wall
• Ensure the entire window opening is covered
AVAILABLE HEADING STYLES
Four heading styles are available:
• Hooks Top
• Back Tabs
• Rod Pocket
• Grommets
Your required heading style must be entered in the order details email.
HOOKS TOP
Hooks Top is compatible with both:
• Curtain rods fitted with rings
• Curtain tracks
For installation on a curtain rod:
The hooks attach to suitable curtain rings fitted around the rod.
For installation on a curtain track:
The hooks attach to the runners or gliders fitted to the track.
Hooks Top is especially suitable for:
• Wall-mounted curtain tracks
• Ceiling-mounted tracks
• Decorative curtain rods with rings
• Frequently opened curtains
• Wide windows
• Tall windows
• Floor-to-ceiling curtains
• Extra-long curtain panels
This is the most versatile heading option.
BACK TABS
Back tabs are fabric loops sewn onto the reverse side of the curtain heading.
The rod passes through these concealed tabs.
When viewed from the front, most of the curtain rod remains hidden.
Back-tab curtains create:
• Soft structured folds
• Minimal visible hardware
• A clean tailored appearance
• A simple contemporary finish
Back tabs require a curtain rod.
They cannot be installed directly onto a standard curtain track.
ROD POCKET
A fabric channel is sewn across the top of the curtain.
The curtain rod passes directly through this channel.
Rod-pocket curtains create:
• Soft gathered folds
• A relaxed appearance
• Minimal visible hardware
• A classic and versatile curtain style
Rod pockets are particularly suitable for:
• Living-room curtains
• Bedroom curtains
• Decorative panels
• Smaller windows
• Short curtains
• Custom cafe curtains
Please ensure that your curtain rod diameter is suitable for the rod-pocket opening.
GROMMETS
Grommets, also known as eyelets, are rings fitted across the top of the curtain.
The curtain rod slides directly through the rings.
Grommet curtains create:
• Broad wave-like folds
• A contemporary appearance
• Easy opening and closing
• Even gathering
• Visible decorative hardware
Grommet curtains require a curtain rod and cannot be fitted directly to a normal curtain track.
CURTAIN FULLNESS
The selected curtain width refers to the FLAT FINISHED WIDTH before gathering.
For curtains to form attractive folds, the total combined width should normally be wider than the usable width of the curtain rod or track.
General guide:
1.5 × FULLNESS
Creates a more relaxed, contemporary appearance.
2 × FULLNESS
Creates deeper, fuller and more luxurious folds.
EXAMPLE:
Curtain rod width:
50 inches
Pair of 50-inch-wide panels:
100 inches combined flat width
This gives approximately 2 × fullness.
Another example:
Curtain rod width:
100 inches
Pair of 100-inch-wide curtains:
200 inches combined flat width
This also provides approximately 2 × fullness.
The amount of fullness will change how the botanical leaf pattern appears.
WITH GREATER FULLNESS:
• Curtains look richer
• Folds are deeper
• Some leaf motifs naturally disappear into the folds
• The overall pattern feels softer and more layered
WITH LOWER FULLNESS:
• Curtains hang flatter
• More complete leaf motifs remain visible
• The repeating pattern appears more graphic
HOW TO MEASURE CURTAIN WIDTH
1. Measure the usable width of the curtain rod or track.
2. Do not include decorative finials.
3. Decide whether you want approximately 1.5 × or 2 × fullness.
4. Multiply the usable width by your chosen fullness.
5. Divide the resulting total by the number of curtain panels required.
EXAMPLE:
Usable curtain rod width:
80 inches
Desired fullness:
2 ×
80 × 2 = 160 inches recommended combined flat curtain width.
A pair of 100-inch-wide panels provides 200 inches combined flat width and therefore gives generous fullness.
HOW TO MEASURE CURTAIN HEIGHT
Measure from the top of the installed curtain rod or track to where you want the curtains to end. For Hooks top only, subtract 1 in (2.54 cm) once from this measurement because the curtains hang slightly below the rod. Do not deduct or add an allowance for other heading styles.
HOOKS TOP:

Possible finished lengths include:
• Window-sill length
• Below-sill length
• Apron length
• Floor length
• Just touching the floor
• Slightly puddling on the floor
For floor-length curtains, we recommend measuring at several locations because curtain rods and floors are not always perfectly level.
CUSTOM CAFE CURTAINS
We can also make this pure linen botanical fabric into custom cafe curtains.
Cafe curtains are shorter curtains designed mainly to cover the lower section of a window while leaving the upper area open for natural daylight.
The dusty indigo blue and ivory botanical pattern is particularly attractive for cafe curtains because the smaller leaf motif remains clearly visible even on shorter panels.
Cafe curtains are suitable for:
• Kitchen windows
• Breakfast nooks
• Breakfast rooms
• Dining areas
• Bathrooms
• Powder rooms
• Pantry windows
• Utility rooms
• French doors
• Street-facing windows
• Small windows
• Lower-half window privacy
The blue-and-ivory palette works especially well in:
• Farmhouse kitchens
• Coastal kitchens
• Bohemian interiors
• Blue-and-white kitchens
• Cottage interiors
• Traditional breakfast rooms
• Scandinavian-inspired kitchens
• Relaxed modern homes
Cafe curtains can be made:
• Unlined
• Organic cotton light-filtering lined
• Blackout lined
Available heading styles include:
• Rod Pocket
• Back Tabs
• Hooks Top
• Grommets where suitable for the requested dimensions
To order cafe curtains:
Select the next available listed size larger than your exact required finished size.

PATTERN PLACEMENT
The exact placement of the repeating botanical leaf motifs may vary depending on:
• Curtain width
• Curtain height
• Pattern repeat
• Heading style
• Custom measurements
• Position from which the fabric is cut
• Whether a joining seam is required
When producing a pair of curtains, we will position the printed pattern as consistently as reasonably possible.
However, exact mirror-image positioning of every individual leaf motif cannot always be guaranteed.
When the curtains are gathered, some motifs will remain clearly visible across the front of the folds while others naturally move into the valleys between the folds.
This gives the repeating botanical pattern more depth once installed.

creates a particularly substantial finished curtain.
The muted indigo palette works beautifully in:
• Primary bedrooms
• Guest bedrooms
• Blue-and-white bedrooms

Choose the blackout lining where darkness is required for daytime sleep.
Because the pattern is timeless, the curtains can remain suitable as the room changes over time.
