Measure for your curtains

Enter your width and height together, then apply your measurements.

Size-dropdown widths are flat fabric widths per curtain.

A gathered curtain covers less space than its flat fabric width. Choose fullness below; Grommet/Eyelet and Pinch pleats always need 2× your coverage width.

This selection also updates Heading style on the product page.

Choose your fullness

Multiply the rod / track coverage by your fullness, then divide by the number of curtains.

Photorealistic fullness examples; actual folds vary with fabric and heading.

Measure the usable span of your installed rod or track, from one end of the curtain coverage to the other. Exclude decorative finials.

A pair contains two curtains. The flat fabric width you order is per curtain, not the combined pair. Choosing a curtain count here updates Panel quantity on the product page.

Enter the full measured drop. For Hooks top only, we subtract 1 in (2.54 cm) because the curtain hangs slightly below the rod. Do not deduct it yourself.

Finished curtain height to orderEnter the height you measured above.

Apply your measurements

We select the exact available flat-width × finished-height size, or the closest larger size fitting both dimensions. For a larger size, your exact request is added to Custom sizes / requirements, preserving your own notes. Your curtain-count choice also updates Panel quantity on the product page.

Review your heading and fullness before applying. This updates your selected size but does not add anything to your cart.

How to measure · illustrations and examples

Measure the space your curtains will cover

Measure the usable span of your installed rod or track, from one end of the curtain coverage to the other. Exclude decorative finials.

Measure the usable rod or track span—not the window glass or decorative finials.

Example: a 100 in (254 cm) rod, two curtains and 2× fullness need 100 in (254 cm) flat width per curtain.

Flat fabric width before gathering or pleating—not the hanging coverage.

Measure from the top of the rod to your chosen bottom

Measure straight down from the top of your installed curtain rod to where you want the curtains to end. For a track, use the top of the installed track.

Start at the top of the rod or track. Stop at your chosen bottom.

DUCK EGG BLUE PURE LINEN EMBROIDERED CURTAINS WITH TEAL, CHAMPAGNE & BLUE-GREY GEOMETRIC TRELLIS

Bring soft aquatic colour, substantial natural linen texture and beautifully dimensional embroidery to your windows with these custom-made thick and heavy pure linen curtains.

This distinctive fabric features a soft duck-egg blue to pale aqua-blue pure linen ground with an intentionally misty abstract background in icy blue, blue grey, pearl grey, warm ivory and light champagne-beige tones.

Across this softly painterly background is a large-scale embroidered geometric trellis composed of elongated hexagonal and diamond-like forms.

The raised embroidery is particularly beautiful because it is not one flat colour. Different sections of the geometric lattice change between dusty teal blue, muted turquoise, pale aqua, blue grey, champagne beige, warm taupe, soft silver grey and natural neutral tones.

These subtle colour changes give the embroidery considerable dimension and make the fabric look more richly woven and handcrafted than a simple single-colour geometric curtain.

From a normal viewing distance, the curtain reads primarily as:

DUCK EGG BLUE + PALE AQUA + TEAL BLUE + CHAMPAGNE BEIGE

with softer accents of:

BLUE GREY + SILVER GREY + TAUPE + IVORY

The overall colourway is calm and sophisticated rather than bright turquoise or dark teal.

These curtains work beautifully in contemporary, transitional, modern coastal, quiet luxury, modern organic, elegant neutral and softly Art Deco-inspired interiors.

Each curtain is individually made to order and can be purchased as:

• One single curtain panel
• A pair / set of 2 matching curtain panels

They can be ordered:

• Unlined
• With an organic cotton light-filtering liner
• With a 100% blackout OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified polycotton liner

COLOUR DESCRIPTION

MAIN LINEN GROUND

The underlying pure linen ground is a soft duck-egg blue to pale aqua-blue.

It has cool grey and misty undertones rather than a bright saturated turquoise appearance.

Depending on your lighting, the main ground can read as:

• Duck egg blue
• Pale aqua
• Mist blue
• Soft blue grey
• Icy blue
• Pale sea blue

The linen also contains lighter ivory and pearl-white areas within the abstract design.

ABSTRACT BACKGROUND COLOURS

Behind the embroidered geometric lattice is a softly diffused, painterly design containing shades of:

• Duck egg blue
• Pale aqua
• Mist blue
• Blue grey
• Silver grey
• Pearl grey
• Warm ivory
• Soft cream
• Light champagne beige
• Pale taupe

The abstract background has a deliberately softened, watercolour-like appearance.

It is not intended to look like a sharply defined print.

Some areas appear cooler and more blue, while others transition into warm ivory or champagne beige.

This tonal variation gives the finished curtains a layered designer-textile appearance.

EMBROIDERY COLOURS

The raised geometric embroidery contains a sophisticated combination of:

• Dusty teal blue
• Muted turquoise
• Soft aqua
• Blue grey
• Slate blue-grey
• Champagne beige
• Warm taupe
• Pale silver grey
• Natural flax tones

Individual sections of the embroidered line change colour along the length of the trellis.

Some sections appear cooler teal or aqua, while others become champagne, taupe or silver-grey.

This alternating colour effect gives the trellis an artisan appearance and prevents the geometric pattern from looking flat or overly uniform.

Because embroidery reflects light differently depending on the direction of the stitches, certain sections can appear lighter, deeper or more lustrous when viewed from different angles.

OVERALL COLOUR EFFECT

From across the room, the curtains have a soft blue and neutral appearance.

The dominant impression is:

Duck Egg Blue + Pale Aqua + Teal Blue + Ivory

The secondary colours are:

Champagne Beige + Blue Grey + Silver Grey + Taupe

This makes the curtain especially versatile for interiors using both cool and warm neutrals.

It can coordinate with blue-grey walls and cool whites, but also with cream, beige, taupe, natural wood and champagne-metal finishes.

Please remember that fabric colours may appear slightly different depending on:

• Natural daylight
• Warm or cool artificial lighting
• Surrounding wall colours
• Furniture and flooring
• Screen brightness
• Monitor or phone colour calibration
• Photography conditions
• Direction from which the embroidery is viewed

GEOMETRIC TRELLIS DESIGN

The most prominent structural feature of the fabric is its oversized embroidered geometric lattice.

The design consists of:

• Elongated hexagons
• Tall diamond-like forms
• Linked geometric frames
• Repeating architectural lines
• Angular connecting points
• Large symmetrical trellis shapes

The pattern has influences from:

• Contemporary geometric interiors
• Art Deco-inspired geometry
• Modern trellis patterns
• Transitional decor
• Modern coastal interiors
• Quiet luxury styling
• Organic modern homes

The structured embroidered lattice contrasts beautifully with the softly diffused abstract background.

This combination keeps the curtain from looking overly rigid while still giving it a strong, architectural presence.

REAL EMBROIDERED DETAIL

The geometric design is embroidered directly onto the pure linen face fabric.

It is not simply printed on top.

When viewed closely, the individual embroidery threads and varying stitch direction can be seen.

This creates:

• Raised tactile texture
• Visible depth
• Additional fabric body
• More luxurious surface detail
• Natural interaction with changing light
• Tonal variation within the pattern
• A richer appearance than a flat printed geometric curtain

The teal, aqua, blue-grey, champagne and taupe sections of the embroidery are deliberately varied.

This colour variation is part of the design and gives the curtain its distinctive textile character.

PURE LINEN FACE FABRIC

These curtains are made from thick and heavy pure linen face fabric.

The natural linen provides:

• Visible woven texture
• Organic character
• Rich drape
• Natural movement
• A substantial hand feel
• A relaxed yet refined appearance

Because pure linen is made from natural fibres, the fabric can contain:

• Small slubs
• Fine thick-and-thin yarn variations
• Slight weave irregularities
• Occasional natural fibre variations

These are normal characteristics of genuine linen and should not be considered manufacturing defects.

The embroidered sections may also show very small variations in stitch density and texture.

These subtle differences contribute to the character of an embroidered textile.

FABRIC WEIGHT

The embroidered pure linen face fabric weighs 403 grams per linear metre at a fabric width of 54 inches.

54 inches equals approximately 1.3716 metres.

The conversion to GSM is:

403 grams ÷ 1.3716 square metres = approximately 294 grams per square metre.

The face fabric therefore weighs approximately:

294 GSM

This is a substantial and heavy curtain fabric.

The approximately 294 GSM construction gives the curtains considerable body while still preserving the natural movement associated with pure linen.

Adding either the organic cotton liner or blackout liner will make the completed curtains even heavier, fuller and more structured.

SINGLE PANEL OR PAIR / SET OF 2

These curtains can be purchased as:

SINGLE PANEL

You will receive one individual curtain in the selected width and height.

PAIR / SET OF 2

You will receive two matching individual curtain panels.

Each curtain in the pair will be made in the width and height selected.

IMPORTANT:

The width shown in the listing is the FLAT FINISHED WIDTH OF EACH INDIVIDUAL CURTAIN before gathering.

Examples:

One 50-inch-wide curtain:
50 inches total flat width.

Pair of 50-inch-wide curtains:
50 inches wide each.
100 inches total combined flat width.

One 100-inch-wide curtain:
100 inches total flat width.

Pair of 100-inch-wide curtains:
100 inches wide each.
200 inches total combined flat width.

Please remember that curtains occupy less horizontal space after they have been gathered into folds on the rod or track.

AVAILABLE WIDTHS

Standard finished width options:

• 50 inches / approximately 127 cm per curtain
• 100 inches / approximately 254 cm per curtain

The width selected refers to the flat finished width of EACH curtain panel.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT 100-INCH-WIDE CURTAINS

Every 100-inch-wide curtain panel will be made by joining two approximately 50-inch-wide fabric sections.

There will therefore be one carefully finished vertical joining seam near the centre of every 100-inch-wide curtain.

The seam is generally barely visible after the curtain has been:

• Installed
• Gathered into folds
• Correctly arranged
• Viewed from a normal distance

This joining method is necessary because the original embroidered linen fabric is produced in a limited loom width.

If you purchase:

ONE 100-INCH-WIDE PANEL

That curtain will contain one joining seam.

A PAIR OF 100-INCH-WIDE PANELS

Each individual curtain will contain its own joining seam.

We will align the embroidered geometric pattern across the joined sections as carefully as reasonably possible.

However, exact continuation of every individual trellis line cannot always be guaranteed because this depends on:

• Embroidery repeat
• Finished curtain dimensions
• Position from which the fabric is cut
• Heading construction
• Exact placement of the embroidered motif

Once the curtains are installed and gathered, the seam generally disappears visually among the natural folds.

AVAILABLE HEIGHTS

Standard finished curtain heights are available from 36 inches to 180 inches at 12-inch intervals:

• 36 inches / approximately 91 cm
• 48 inches / approximately 122 cm
• 60 inches / approximately 152 cm
• 72 inches / approximately 183 cm
• 84 inches / approximately 213 cm
• 96 inches / approximately 244 cm
• 108 inches / approximately 274 cm
• 120 inches / approximately 305 cm
• 132 inches / approximately 335 cm
• 144 inches / approximately 366 cm
• 156 inches / approximately 396 cm
• 168 inches / approximately 427 cm
• 180 inches / approximately 457 cm

The extensive height range makes these curtains suitable for:

• Standard bedroom windows
• Living-room windows
• Dining-room windows
• French doors
• Sliding doors
• Large picture windows
• Floor-to-ceiling windows
• High ceilings
• Double-height spaces
• Loft apartments
• Two-storey windows
• Oversized custom installations

LINING OPTIONS

These curtains are available with three lining choices:

1. UNLINED
2. ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER
3. 100% BLACKOUT OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 CERTIFIED POLYCOTTON LINER

Please enter your chosen lining option in the order details email with every order.

1. UNLINED CURTAINS

The unlined option retains the most natural appearance, drape and texture of the pure linen face fabric.

When unlined, these curtains provide semi-sheer privacy.

Although the linen is thick and substantial, natural daylight can still pass through when the fabric is strongly backlit.

The exact amount of transparency depends on:

• Strength of sunlight
• Direction of sunlight
• Time of day
• Curtain fullness
• Interior lighting
• Distance between the curtain and window
• Whether the fabric is being viewed from inside or outside

During normal daytime use, the unlined curtains soften the view through the window and provide a useful amount of privacy while allowing daylight to enter.

At night, particularly when the room lights are switched on, silhouettes or shadows may be visible from outside.

Choose UNLINED if you prefer:

• The most natural linen appearance
• Maximum visibility of the embroidery
• Soft filtered daylight
• Semi-sheer privacy
• A lighter completed curtain
• Natural relaxed draping
• Decorative living-room curtains
• Curtains layered with an existing Roman shade or blind

If complete privacy is important, we recommend one of the lined options.

2. ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER

The organic cotton light-filtering liner is ideal where increased privacy is required while you still want softly diffused daylight.

Adding the cotton lining makes the finished curtain completely opaque under normal viewing conditions.

The face fabric will no longer appear semi-sheer.

The organic cotton liner:

• Makes the completed curtain opaque
• Provides greater daytime privacy
• Provides greater nighttime privacy
• Softens incoming daylight
• Diffuses direct sunlight
• Adds body to the curtain
• Supports the substantial embroidered linen
• Creates fuller and more defined folds
• Gives the curtain a richer finished drape

This option works especially well for:

• Living rooms
• Dining rooms
• Bedrooms
• Guest rooms
• Nurseries
• Home offices
• Street-facing rooms
• Spaces requiring privacy without complete darkness

Please note:

The organic cotton liner is LIGHT FILTERING rather than blackout.

Natural daylight will still pass through the finished curtain, but it will be significantly softened and diffused.

Choose this option when you want:

COMPLETE OPACITY + PRIVACY + SOFT NATURAL LIGHT

3. 100% BLACKOUT OEKO-TEX CERTIFIED LINER

For maximum light control through the curtain fabric, choose the blackout liner.

The blackout lining is an OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified non-toxic polycotton fabric made from:

• 50% Cotton
• 50% Polyester

The specialised liner prevents light from passing through the body of the curtain.

The completed curtain itself therefore becomes fully opaque.

This option is particularly suitable for:

• Bedrooms
• Nurseries
• Children’s rooms
• Guest bedrooms
• Media rooms
• Home cinemas
• Shift workers
• Street-facing rooms
• Rooms receiving strong sunlight
• Rooms where darkness is important for sleeping
• Spaces requiring maximum privacy

Please remember that blackout fabric and a completely blacked-out room are not exactly the same thing.

The liner blocks light passing THROUGH the curtain.

A small amount of light can still enter:

• Above the curtains
• Around the outside edges
• Beneath the curtains
• Through the centre gap between two panels

This depends on the installation.

For the darkest possible result:

• Order generous curtain fullness
• Extend the curtain rod or track beyond both sides of the window
• Install the curtain above the window opening
• Allow two panels to overlap slightly at the centre
• Select sufficient curtain length
• Position the curtains reasonably close to the wall
• Ensure the complete window opening is covered

AVAILABLE HEADING STYLES

Four heading styles are available:

• Hooks Top
• Back Tabs
• Rod Pocket
• Grommets

Please enter your required heading style in the order details email.

HOOKS TOP

Hooks Top is compatible with both:

• Curtain rods fitted with rings
• Curtain tracks

For installation on a curtain rod:

The curtain hooks attach to suitable rings fitted around the rod.

For installation on a curtain track:

The hooks attach to the runners or gliders fitted to the track.

Hooks Top is particularly suitable for:

• Ceiling-mounted tracks
• Wall-mounted tracks
• Decorative rods with rings
• Frequently opened curtains
• Wide windows
• Tall windows
• Floor-to-ceiling curtains
• Extra-long curtains

This is the most versatile heading option.

BACK TABS

Back tabs are fabric loops sewn onto the reverse side of the curtain heading.

The rod slides through these concealed tabs.

Most of the rod remains hidden when viewed from the front.

Back-tab curtains create:

• Soft structured folds
• Minimal visible hardware
• A clean tailored appearance
• A contemporary finish
• Even gathering

Back tabs require a curtain rod.

They cannot be installed directly onto a standard curtain track.

ROD POCKET

A fabric channel is sewn across the top of the curtain.

The curtain rod slides directly through the channel.

Rod-pocket curtains create:

• Soft gathered folds
• A relaxed appearance
• Minimal visible hardware
• A classic curtain style

Rod pockets are particularly suitable for:

• Living-room curtains
• Bedroom curtains
• Smaller windows
• Decorative curtain panels
• Short curtains
• Custom cafe curtains

Please ensure that your curtain rod diameter is suitable for the rod-pocket opening.

GROMMETS

Grommets, also called eyelets, are rings installed across the top of the curtain.

The curtain rod slides directly through the rings.

Grommet curtains create:

• Broad wave-like folds
• A contemporary appearance
• Easy opening and closing
• Even gathering
• Visible decorative hardware

Grommet curtains require a curtain rod and cannot be attached directly to a standard curtain track.

CURTAIN FULLNESS

The selected curtain width refers to the FLAT FINISHED WIDTH before gathering.

For attractive curtain folds, the combined flat width should normally be wider than the usable width of your curtain rod or track.

General guide:

1.5 × FULLNESS

Creates a more relaxed, contemporary appearance.

2 × FULLNESS

Creates deeper, fuller and more luxurious folds.

Example:

Curtain rod width:
50 inches

Pair of 50-inch-wide panels:
100 inches combined flat width

This provides approximately 2 × fullness.

Another example:

Curtain rod width:
100 inches

Pair of 100-inch-wide curtains:
200 inches combined flat width

This also provides approximately 2 × fullness.

The amount of fullness noticeably changes the appearance of this large-scale embroidered trellis.

WITH MORE FULLNESS:

• Curtains look richer and more luxurious
• Folds become deeper
• Portions of the geometric pattern move naturally into the folds

WITH LESS FULLNESS:

• Curtains hang flatter
• More complete geometric shapes remain visible
• The trellis appears more graphic

HOW TO MEASURE CURTAIN WIDTH

1. Measure the usable width of your curtain rod or track.
2. Exclude decorative finials.
3. Decide whether you prefer approximately 1.5 × or 2 × fullness.
4. Multiply the usable width by your desired fullness.
5. Divide the resulting total by the number of panels required.

Example:

Usable rod width:
80 inches

Desired fullness:
2 ×

80 × 2 = 160 inches combined curtain width recommended.

A pair of 100-inch-wide panels provides 200 inches combined flat width and therefore gives generous fullness.

HOW TO MEASURE CURTAIN HEIGHT

Measure from the actual point from which the curtain will hang down to where you want the finished curtain to end.

HOOKS TOP:

Measure from the hook or curtain-ring hanging point.

BACK TABS:

Measure from the top of the curtain rod.

ROD POCKET:

Measure from the top of the curtain rod.

GROMMETS:

Measure from the top of the curtain rod while accounting for the small amount of fabric extending above the grommet rings.

Possible finished lengths include:

• Window-sill length
• Below-sill length
• Apron length
• Floor length
• Just touching the floor
• Slightly puddling on the floor

For floor-length curtains, we recommend measuring in several places because rods and floors are not always perfectly level.

CUSTOM CAFE CURTAINS

This same embroidered pure linen fabric can also be custom made into cafe curtains.

Cafe curtains are shorter curtains that normally cover the lower section of a window while leaving the upper portion open for daylight.

The pale duck-egg blue, teal, ivory and champagne palette works especially well for cafe curtains in elegant kitchens, breakfast rooms and bathrooms.

Cafe curtains are ideal for:

• Kitchen windows
• Breakfast nooks
• Breakfast rooms
• Dining areas
• Bathrooms
• Powder rooms
• Pantry windows
• Utility rooms
• French doors
• Street-facing windows
• Small windows
• Lower-half window privacy

Cafe curtains can be made:

• Unlined
• Organic cotton light-filtering lined
• Blackout lined

Available headings include:

• Rod Pocket
• Back Tabs
• Hooks Top
• Grommets where appropriate for the requested dimensions

To order cafe curtains:

Select the next available listed size larger than your exact required finished measurements.

Then enter your precise size in the order details email.

Example:

Cafe Curtain Finished Size:
44 inches wide × 29 inches high per panel

Quantity:
Pair

Heading:
Rod Pocket

Lining:
Unlined

Please clearly mention “CAFE CURTAINS” in the order details email.

PATTERN PLACEMENT

This embroidered fabric has a large repeating geometric design.

The exact positioning of the trellis on every finished curtain can vary according to:

• Curtain width
• Curtain height
• Fabric repeat
• Heading style
• Custom measurements
• Point from which the fabric is cut
• Whether a joining seam is required

When producing a pair, we will position the pattern as consistently as reasonably possible.

However, exact mirror-image positioning of every embroidered shape cannot always be guaranteed.

When the curtain is gathered, some elongated hexagons will remain prominently visible across the fronts of the folds, while other sections naturally move into the valleys between folds.

This creates additional depth and movement once installed.

SUITABLE INTERIOR STYLES

These duck-egg blue, teal and champagne embroidered linen curtains complement:

• Contemporary interiors
• Transitional interiors
• Modern coastal homes
• Quiet luxury interiors
• Modern organic decor
• Art Deco-inspired rooms
• Elegant neutral interiors

• Calm bedrooms
• Formal dining rooms

• Home offices
• High-ceiling interiors
• Floor-to-ceiling window installations

They coordinate particularly well with:

• Warm-white walls

• Natural linen upholstery
• Travertine
• Limestone

MODERN COASTAL INTERIORS

The pale blue and aqua tones give this fabric a natural connection with coastal interiors without relying on obvious nautical motifs.

The embroidered geometric lattice keeps the design refined and architectural.

This makes the curtains especially suitable for elevated coastal interiors using:

• Pale blue
• Warm ivory
• Natural linen
• Light oak
• Limestone
• Woven textures
• Champagne or brushed metal

LIVING ROOM CURTAINS

For a living room, choose:

UNLINED

for the most natural linen appearance and softly filtered daylight.

ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT FILTERING

for complete opacity and greater privacy while retaining diffused daylight.

BLACKOUT

for the strongest light control and a more substantial finished curtain.

The large geometric embroidery is especially effective on tall or wide living-room windows.

BEDROOM CURTAINS

For bedrooms, the blackout-lined option provides maximum light blocking through the curtain fabric.

The combination of:

• Heavy pure linen
• Raised embroidery
• Blackout lining

creates a particularly substantial and luxurious completed curtain.

The muted duck-egg blue and teal palette works beautifully in calm bedrooms and elegant guest rooms.

DINING ROOM CURTAINS

The architectural geometric pattern gives the fabric enough structure for sophisticated dining rooms.

It coordinates particularly well with:

• Natural oak dining tables
• Walnut furniture
• Cream walls
• Blue-grey upholstery
• Brass lighting
• Champagne-metal fixtures
• Natural stone flooring

NURSERY CURTAINS

The soft duck-egg blue and neutral palette can also work beautifully in a sophisticated nursery.

The geometric pattern is decorative without being specifically child-themed.

Choose the blackout lining where reduced light is needed for daytime sleeping.

Because the pattern is timeless, the curtains can continue working in the room as the decor changes over time.
