HOW TO MEASURE (quick steps)
Inside Mount (inside recess):

Measure the exact inside recess width AT THE TOP. Do not make any deductions from your measurements.

Measure the exact inside recess height.

Check depth: ensure your recess depth can accommodate the headrail and fabric stack.

Outside Mount (outside recess):

Measure the width of the area you want covered, including overlap beyond the window frame (typically 2–3 in / 5–8 cm each side for better coverage).

Measure drop from where you’ll mount above the window down to your desired finished length.

Decide how much top overlap you want above the frame (commonly 2–4 in / 5–10 cm).
