Measure for your curtains

Enter your width and height together, then apply your measurements.

Size-dropdown widths are flat fabric widths per curtain.

A gathered curtain covers less space than its flat fabric width. Choose fullness below; Grommet/Eyelet and Pinch pleats always need 2× your coverage width.

This selection also updates Heading style on the product page.

Choose your fullness

Multiply the rod / track coverage by your fullness, then divide by the number of curtains.

Photorealistic fullness examples; actual folds vary with fabric and heading.

Measure the usable span of your installed rod or track, from one end of the curtain coverage to the other. Exclude decorative finials.

A pair contains two curtains. The flat fabric width you order is per curtain, not the combined pair. Choosing a curtain count here updates Panel quantity on the product page.

Enter the full measured drop. For Hooks top only, we subtract 1 in (2.54 cm) because the curtain hangs slightly below the rod. Do not deduct it yourself.

Apply your measurements

We select the exact available flat-width × finished-height size, or the closest larger size fitting both dimensions. For a larger size, your exact request is added to Custom sizes / requirements, preserving your own notes. Your curtain-count choice also updates Panel quantity on the product page.

Review your heading and fullness before applying. This updates your selected size but does not add anything to your cart.

How to measure · illustrations and examples

Measure the space your curtains will cover

Measure the usable span of your installed rod or track, from one end of the curtain coverage to the other. Exclude decorative finials.

Measure the usable rod or track span—not the window glass or decorative finials.

Example: a 100 in (254 cm) rod, two curtains and 2× fullness need 100 in (254 cm) flat width per curtain.

Flat fabric width before gathering or pleating—not the hanging coverage.

Measure from the top of the rod to your chosen bottom

Measure straight down from the top of your installed curtain rod to where you want the curtains to end. For a track, use the top of the installed track.

Start at the top of the rod or track. Stop at your chosen bottom.

Product description

DARK OLIVE GREEN, CREAM & TAUPE PURE LINEN FARMHOUSE STRIPE CURTAINS

Bring rich natural colour, substantial pure linen texture and timeless farmhouse character to your windows with these custom-made thick and heavyweight pure linen curtains.

The fabric combines a warm ivory, cream and natural-flax linen ground with broad VERY DARK OLIVE-GREEN vertical stripes and finer warm taupe, blush-beige, mushroom and natural-flax pinstripes.

The strongest overall colour combination is:

WARM IVORY / CREAM
+
VERY DARK OLIVE GREEN
+
WARM TAUPE / BLUSH BEIGE
+
NATURAL FLAX ACCENTS

The broad green stripe is distinctly GREEN rather than black.

It is an exceptionally deep, muted and earthy shade that can appear almost charcoal in subdued lighting, but its underlying colour is a sophisticated dark olive / forest green.

Depending on the lighting, it may appear as:

• Very dark olive green
• Dark forest green
• Loden green
• Deep moss green
• Hunter green
• Dark woodland green
• Muted evergreen
• Earthy dark green

The narrow secondary stripes add soft warmth and may read as mushroom taupe, camel beige, dusty blush-beige or natural flax.

The result is a sophisticated multi-width stripe with a relaxed French farmhouse, country and ticking-inspired character.

These curtains work beautifully in:

• Farmhouse interiors
• French-country homes
• English-country rooms
• Cottage interiors
• Rustic spaces
• Organic-modern homes
• Warm minimalist interiors
• Transitional rooms
• Natural neutral interiors
• Bedrooms
• Living rooms
• Dining rooms
• Country kitchens

These curtains are made from substantial PURE LINEN curtain fabric.

They are available as:

• ONE SINGLE CURTAIN PANEL

or

• A PAIR / SET OF TWO MATCHING CURTAIN PANELS

LINING OPTIONS

Choose from:

• UNLINED
• ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER
• OEKO-TEX® CERTIFIED 100% BLACKOUT POLYCOTTON LINER

A large selection of standard sizes is available, and exact custom finished widths and lengths can also be made.

COLOR DESCRIPTION

VERY DARK OLIVE-GREEN STRIPES

The broad vertical bands are the strongest decorative element in the fabric.

The colour is best described as a VERY DARK OLIVE GREEN.

Depending on the strength and temperature of the light, it may also appear as:

• Deep forest green
• Loden green
• Dark moss
• Hunter green
• Woodland green
• Dark khaki green
• Muted evergreen
• Deep earthy olive

This is not a bright emerald, grass green or vivid botanical green.

It has a significant grey-brown, earthy undertone that makes it considerably more subdued and sophisticated.

In strong neutral daylight, its green character becomes easier to see.

In lower light, it becomes extremely deep and may appear almost charcoal from a distance.

The stripe should nevertheless be understood as DARK GREEN rather than black.

WARM IVORY / CREAM PURE LINEN GROUND

The lighter sections are best described as:

• Warm ivory
• Cream
• Natural linen
• Ecru
• Pale oatmeal
• Natural flax ivory
• Warm off-white

The background is not a stark optical white.

The authentic natural-flax weave produces subtle fibre variations, occasional darker flax speckles and gentle tonal movement throughout the lighter sections.

Bright daylight can make the ground appear closer to ivory.

Warmer artificial lighting can make it appear creamier or more oatmeal toned.

WARM TAUPE & BLUSH-BEIGE PINSTRIPES

The narrow secondary stripes provide a warmer contrast to the very dark green.

Depending on the light, these finer lines may appear as:

• Warm taupe
• Mushroom beige
• Blush beige
• Dusty rose-beige
• Pale camel
• Sand
• Natural flax
• Light mocha
• Warm greige

These are subtle neutral accent colours rather than strongly pink stripes.

They soften the contrast between the dark olive and cream and give the fabric a more complex, layered appearance.

OVERALL COLOR IMPRESSION

The finished curtain reads primarily as:

DARK OLIVE GREEN + CREAM

with softer:

TAUPE + BLUSH BEIGE + NATURAL FLAX.

This earthy colour palette coordinates particularly well with:

• Warm white
• Ivory
• Cream
• Oatmeal
• Beige
• Greige
• Taupe
• Mushroom
• Camel
• Cognac
• Sage
• Olive
• Forest green
• Terracotta
• Rust
• Natural oak
• White oak
• Walnut
• Reclaimed timber
• Rattan
• Cane
• Jute
• Travertine
• Limestone
• Antique brass
• Aged bronze
• Matte black

FARMHOUSE VERTICAL STRIPE PATTERN

The fabric features a repeating vertical stripe composed of contrasting widths.

The design includes:

• Broad very dark olive-green bands
• Generous warm cream / ivory spaces
• Fine taupe lines
• Blush-beige pinstripes
• Natural-flax accents
• Alternating broad and narrow vertical bands

The broad green sections provide strong visual definition while the fine neutral pinstripes introduce subtle detail.

Because the stripes use different widths, the pattern has more character than a simple equal-width modern stripe.

The design can accurately be described as:

• Farmhouse stripe
• French farmhouse stripe
• Ticking-inspired stripe
• Olive-green stripe
• Country linen stripe
• French-country stripe
• Cottage stripe
• Rustic stripe
• Heritage-inspired stripe
• Natural linen stripe

TICKING-INSPIRED CHARACTER

Traditional ticking textiles are known for repeated vertical lines and grouped narrow stripes.

This fabric takes inspiration from that aesthetic while combining very fine neutral pinstripes with much broader olive-green bands.

For that reason, FARMHOUSE STRIPE and TICKING-INSPIRED STRIPE are particularly accurate descriptions.

It offers the heritage character associated with traditional ticking without looking like a rigid two-colour ticking fabric.

VERTICAL STRIPES & WINDOW HEIGHT

Vertical stripes work particularly beautifully on curtains because they naturally lead the eye upward.

This can visually emphasise window height and makes the fabric especially suitable for:

• Floor-length curtains
• Tall bedroom windows
• Large living-room windows
• Dining-room windows
• High ceilings
• French doors
• Sliding doors
• Floor-to-ceiling glazing
• Extra-long custom curtains

Once gathered, the dark olive, cream and fine taupe stripes move in and out of the curtain folds.

This produces considerably more depth and movement than the fabric displays while completely flat.

PURE HEAVYWEIGHT LINEN — APPROXIMATELY 294 GSM

The decorative face fabric is PURE LINEN.

The supplied fabric weight is:

403 GRAMS PER LINEAR METRE

on fabric measuring:

54 INCHES WIDE.

54 inches equals approximately 1.3716 metres.

403 grams per linear metre at this width converts to approximately:

294 GSM

or approximately:

294 GRAMS PER SQUARE METRE.

This is substantial curtain-weight linen rather than lightweight linen voile or gauze.

The approximately 294 GSM construction provides:

• Excellent fabric body
• A substantial natural fall
• Beautiful structured folds
• Rich woven texture
• Strong visual presence
• A premium heavyweight feel
• Suitability for wide windows
• Suitability for floor-length curtains
• Suitability for very tall windows

NATURAL PURE LINEN CHARACTER

Pure linen is produced from natural flax fibre.

The surface should not be expected to have the perfectly uniform appearance of synthetic fabric.

Normal characteristics may include:

• Natural linen slubs
• Small differences in yarn thickness
• Occasional thicker fibres
• Occasional finer fibres
• Tiny weave irregularities
• Natural tonal variations
• Small flax-coloured speckles
• Visible woven texture
• Gentle natural creasing

These are normal characteristics of genuine pure linen rather than defects.

They contribute to the authentic, relaxed appearance that makes natural linen particularly attractive for farmhouse and organic interiors.

UNLINED — SEMI-SHEER PRIVACY CURTAINS

Choose UNLINED when you want the pure linen in its most natural form.

Although this is thick and substantial approximately 294 GSM linen, genuine woven linen can still allow some daylight to pass through its structure when strongly illuminated from behind.

The unlined curtains therefore have a naturally:

SEMI-SHEER / LIGHT-FILTERING / PRIVACY CURTAIN QUALITY.

These curtains are considerably heavier and more substantial than conventional lightweight voile or gauze sheers.

However, unlined natural linen is not completely opaque.

The unlined option provides:

• Softly filtered natural daylight
• Moderate daytime privacy
• Maximum visibility of authentic linen texture
• A relaxed natural drape
• Beautiful illumination of the stripe pattern
• A lighter finished window treatment than lined curtains

HOW THE STRIPES LOOK WHEN BACKLIT

When daylight passes through the linen:

• Cream sections become more luminous
• Dark olive-green bands retain considerable depth
• Taupe and beige pinstripes become softly visible
• Natural linen texture becomes especially apparent

This gives the curtains a changing appearance throughout the day as the direction and intensity of light change.

UNLINED PRIVACY NOTE

Strong backlighting may allow silhouettes to remain visible through unlined linen.

At night, privacy may decrease when interior lighting is switched on while it is dark outside.

If complete visual opacity is required, choose the organic cotton light-filtering liner.

ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER

Choose the ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER when you want additional privacy while retaining softly filtered natural daylight.

The organic cotton liner sits behind the decorative striped pure linen.

It makes the finished curtain completely opaque rather than semi-sheer.

Benefits include:

• Complete visual opacity through the curtain body
• Increased privacy
• Reduced visibility of silhouettes
• Softly filtered ambient daylight
• Additional curtain body
• Fuller-looking folds
• A more substantial finished appearance

This option works especially well for:

• Living rooms
• Bedrooms
• Guest bedrooms
• Dining rooms
• Home offices
• Children's rooms
• Nurseries
• Street-facing windows

Choose the organic cotton liner when opacity and privacy are important but complete darkness is not required.

OEKO-TEX® CERTIFIED 100% BLACKOUT POLYCOTTON LINER

Choose the OEKO-TEX® certified 100% blackout polycotton liner when maximum light blocking is required.

The blackout liner is designed to block transmitted light through the curtain body.

This option is particularly suitable for:

• Bedrooms
• Nurseries
• Children's bedrooms
• Guest bedrooms
• Home cinemas
• Media rooms
• Strong morning-sun windows
• Rooms affected by street lighting
• Shift workers
• Customers who prefer a dark sleeping environment

The decorative olive-green, cream and taupe pure linen remains visible inside the room.

The blackout layer performs the light-blocking function behind it.

The CURTAIN BODY itself provides complete blackout.

Please remember that complete room darkness also depends on installation.

Some light may still enter around:

• Outer edges
• Centre opening
• Top
• Bottom

if gaps remain between the curtains and surrounding wall.

Generous window coverage provides the strongest room-darkening result.

SOLD AS A SINGLE PANEL OR PAIR / SET OF TWO

These curtains can be purchased either individually or as a matching pair.

SINGLE PIECE

Selecting SINGLE PIECE means you receive:

ONE FINISHED CURTAIN PANEL.

PAIR / SET OF TWO

Selecting PAIR / SET OF TWO means you receive:

TWO MATCHING FINISHED CURTAIN PANELS.

A pair is generally installed with one curtain positioned on each side of the window.

Please carefully check your selected quantity before completing the order.

STANDARD WIDTH OPTIONS

Available finished widths are:

• 50 INCHES
• 100 INCHES

IMPORTANT:

THE SELECTED WIDTH REFERS TO EACH INDIVIDUAL CURTAIN PANEL.

For example:

A PAIR in the 50-inch width means:

TWO panels measuring approximately 50 inches wide each.

This provides approximately:

100 INCHES OF COMBINED FLAT FABRIC WIDTH

before gathering.

CURTAIN FULLNESS

The flat finished curtain width should not be confused with the amount of window space the curtain occupies once gathered.

Curtains generally look fuller and more luxurious when their combined flat fabric width exceeds the width of the curtain pole or track.

The appropriate fullness depends on:

• Rod width
• Track width
• Number of panels
• Heading style
• Preferred degree of gathering

IMPORTANT — 100-INCH-WIDE CURTAINS

The decorative face fabric is approximately 50 inches wide for curtain construction.

Therefore:

EVERY 100-INCH-WIDE CURTAIN WILL BE MADE BY JOINING TWO APPROXIMATELY 50-INCH FABRIC WIDTHS.

The two sections are professionally sewn together to form one finished 100-inch-wide curtain.

This creates one vertical joining seam.

Once the curtain is installed and naturally gathered into folds, this seam is generally BARELY VISIBLE.

Joining multiple fabric widths is a standard professional curtain-making technique used to create wide drapery panels.

If you purchase a PAIR of 100-inch-wide curtains, each individual 100-inch curtain will contain its own joining seam.

STRIPE ALIGNMENT AT THE JOIN

Because this fabric has a repeating vertical stripe, the fabric widths will be joined as neatly and attractively as practical.

The stripe arrangement will be considered during construction so that the finished panel remains visually balanced.

Once installed and gathered, the joining seam generally settles naturally among the curtain folds and becomes considerably less noticeable.

STANDARD HEIGHT OPTIONS

Finished curtain heights are available from:

36 INCHES TO 180 INCHES

in 12-inch increments.

Available standard heights are:

• 36 inches
• 48 inches
• 60 inches
• 72 inches
• 84 inches
• 96 inches
• 108 inches
• 120 inches
• 132 inches
• 144 inches
• 156 inches
• 168 inches
• 180 inches

This extensive range makes the curtains suitable for standard windows as well as dramatic floor-to-ceiling installations.

• Powder rooms
• Laundry rooms

• Cream upholstery
• Antique-brass lighting
• Handmade ceramics
• Natural stone

The vertical stripe gives the window a refined architectural character.

EXTRA-LONG CURTAINS

Standard finished lengths extend up to 180 inches.

This makes the fabric suitable for:

• Floor-to-ceiling windows
• High ceilings
• Double-height rooms
• Tall bedrooms
• Large living rooms
• French doors
• Sliding doors
• Architectural glazing

The uninterrupted dark olive-green vertical bands are especially striking on long curtain drops because they naturally emphasise window height.

PATTERN PLACEMENT

Every curtain is individually cut from continuously striped fabric.

The exact position of particular olive, taupe and cream stripes relative to each side edge may vary according to the selected finished width.

When a pair is ordered, the curtains will coordinate beautifully, although exact mirror-image stripe placement should not be expected.

COLOR & SCREEN DISCLAIMER

Dark muted greens and warm neutrals can appear different under varying lighting.

The dominant dark stripe may appear as:

• Dark olive green
• Loden green
• Forest green
• Hunter green
• Deep moss
• Muted evergreen

The finer accent stripe may appear as:

• Warm taupe
• Blush beige
• Mushroom beige
• Sand
• Natural flax

The background may appear as:

• Cream
• Ivory
• Natural linen
• Warm off-white

Under low light, the dark olive can appear almost charcoal.

Under stronger natural daylight, its green undertone becomes more apparent.

Phone, tablet and computer screens may also reproduce these subtle colours differently.

If precise coordination with existing paint, upholstery, cabinetry or wallpaper is important, viewing a physical fabric swatch before ordering multiple large custom panels is recommended.

NATURAL CREASING

Pure linen naturally develops creases during folding, handling and shipping.

Many softer creases relax naturally once the curtains are installed and allowed to hang under their own substantial weight.

The finished curtains are intended to retain the authentic relaxed character of natural linen rather than appear unnaturally rigid or synthetic.

CARE

Professional dry cleaning is recommended, particularly for lined curtains.

Avoid:

• Aggressive machine washing
• High-temperature washing
• Bleach
• Harsh detergents
• Excessive mechanical agitation

Professional care provides the safest method for preserving the pure linen face, liner and custom finished dimensions.
