How to Measure for Inside Recess Installation:

Inside recess means the Roman shade will fit inside the window frame or window opening.

Measure the inside width of your window opening at the top, middle and bottom.

Use the smallest width measurement.

Measure the inside height from the top of the recess to the sill or bottom of the window opening.

Mention that the shade is for inside recess installation in the order details email.

For inside recess, please provide the exact inside opening measurement. We will make the necessary adjustment for a proper fit.

How to Measure for Outside Recess Installation:

Outside recess means the Roman shade will be mounted on the wall or trim outside the window opening.

Measure the width of the window opening.

Add extra width on both sides for better coverage and privacy. We usually recommend adding 2 to 4 inches on each side if space allows.

Measure from the point where you want the shade to start above the window down to where you want it to finish.
