1. Light-Filtering Organic Cotton Liner

Choose the organic cotton liner when you want soft natural daylight, additional privacy, and a neatly finished backing.

This lining gently filters direct sunlight and reduces glare while allowing the room to remain naturally illuminated. It is particularly suitable for living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens, offices, breakfast areas, and spaces where complete darkness is not required.

The finished shade will provide substantially more privacy than an unlined fabric while preserving a soft daytime glow.

2. 100% Blackout OEKO-TEX Certified Polycotton Liner

Choose the blackout liner when maximum light blocking and privacy are required.

The blackout lining is made from non-toxic OEKO-TEX certified polycotton containing:

50% polyester

This liner is designed to block incoming light completely through the lined portion of the Roman shade. It is ideal for bedrooms, nurseries, children’s rooms, guest bedrooms, home theaters, media rooms, and windows receiving strong direct sunlight.

Please note that small amounts of light may remain around the outside edges of any inside-mounted blind because of the clearance needed within the recess. An outside-recess installation with generous overlap generally provides the best overall light coverage.

HOW TO MEASURE FOR INSIDE RECESS / INSIDE MOUNT

Choose an inside-recess fitting when the Roman blind will sit within the window frame or recessed opening.

1. Confirm that the recess has enough unobstructed depth for the blind and its hardware.

2. Measure the internal width at the top, middle, and bottom of the recess.

3. Record the smallest of the three width measurements.

4. Measure the internal height on the left, center, and right sides.

5. Record the smallest of the three height measurements.

6. Measure with a rigid metal tape for the most reliable result.

7. Enter the exact recess width and height as measured.

8. Clearly write “Inside Recess” in the order details email.

Check for projecting handles, locks, tiles, vents, or other obstructions that could interfere with the operation of the blind.

HOW TO MEASURE FOR OUTSIDE RECESS / OUTSIDE MOUNT

Choose an outside-recess fitting when the Roman shade will be installed on the wall or window frame surrounding the opening.

1. Measure the complete width of the window opening.

2. Add the desired overlap on both sides for improved privacy and light coverage.

3. Where sufficient wall space is available, an overlap of approximately 2–4 inches on each side is commonly suitable.

4. Decide where the upper edge of the shade will be positioned above the window.

5. Measure from that upper installation point to the desired lower finishing point.

6. Add sufficient coverage below the opening where appropriate.

7. Enter the final required finished width and height, including all added overlap.
