Outside recess mount (installed on the wall/trim above the window)

1. Measure the window width and decide how much overlap you want on each side (commonly 2–4 in / 5–10 cm per side for better light control).

2. Add the overlaps and write that total as your exact width.

3. Measure from where you will mount the top of the shade down to where you want it to end, and write that as your exact length.
Tip: Mounting slightly higher than the window frame can make the window look taller and reduce light gaps.
