Outside recess mount (mounts on the wall/trim above the window)

1. Measure your window width and decide your side overlap (commonly 2–4 in / 5–10 cm per side for better light control).
2. Add overlaps and write that total as your exact width.
3. Measure from where you will mount the top of the shade down to where you want it to end, and write that as your exact length.
Tip: Mounting slightly higher than the frame can make the window look taller and reduce light gaps.
