An inside-mount or inside-recess Roman shade fits within the window opening for a clean, streamlined appearance.

1. Use a rigid metal measuring tape. Do not use a flexible sewing tape.

2. Check that the recess is deep enough for the Roman-shade mechanism and mounting clamps.

3. Measure the exact recess width at the top. Do not make any deductions
