Measure for your curtains

Enter your width and height together, then apply your measurements.

Size-dropdown widths are flat fabric widths per curtain.

A gathered curtain covers less space than its flat fabric width. Choose fullness below; Grommet/Eyelet and Pinch pleats always need 2× your coverage width.

This selection also updates Heading style on the product page.

Choose your fullness

Multiply the rod / track coverage by your fullness, then divide by the number of curtains.

Photorealistic fullness examples; actual folds vary with fabric and heading.

Measure the usable span of your installed rod or track, from one end of the curtain coverage to the other. Exclude decorative finials.

A pair contains two curtains. The flat fabric width you order is per curtain, not the combined pair. Choosing a curtain count here updates Panel quantity on the product page.

Enter the full measured drop. For Hooks top only, we subtract 1 in (2.54 cm) because the curtain hangs slightly below the rod. Do not deduct it yourself.

Finished curtain height to orderEnter the height you measured above.

Apply your measurements

We select the exact available flat-width × finished-height size, or the closest larger size fitting both dimensions. For a larger size, your exact request is added to Custom sizes / requirements, preserving your own notes. Your curtain-count choice also updates Panel quantity on the product page.

Review your heading and fullness before applying. This updates your selected size but does not add anything to your cart.

How to measure · illustrations and examples

Measure the space your curtains will cover

Measure the usable span of your installed rod or track, from one end of the curtain coverage to the other. Exclude decorative finials.

Measure the usable rod or track span—not the window glass or decorative finials.

Example: a 100 in (254 cm) rod, two curtains and 2× fullness need 100 in (254 cm) flat width per curtain.

Flat fabric width before gathering or pleating—not the hanging coverage.

Measure from the top of the rod to your chosen bottom

Measure straight down from the top of your installed curtain rod to where you want the curtains to end. For a track, use the top of the installed track.

Start at the top of the rod or track. Stop at your chosen bottom.

Chocolate Brown Cream Pure Linen Farmhouse Stripe Curtains, Ticking Drapes, Custom Blackout or Light Filtering

Product description
Shipping & returns

CHOCOLATE BROWN, TAUPE & CREAM PURE LINEN FARMHOUSE TICKING STRIPE CURTAINS

Bring rich natural texture, sophisticated neutral colour and timeless farmhouse stripes to your windows with these custom-made thick and heavyweight pure linen curtains.

The fabric has a warm cream, ivory and natural-flax linen ground covered with an elegant arrangement of vertical stripes in chocolate brown, deep espresso brown, mushroom taupe, warm mocha and softer beige-taupe tones.

The stripes vary noticeably in width.

Some are very fine pinstripes, others form slender taupe bands, and several are wider chocolate-brown stripes. This multi-width arrangement gives the textile considerably more depth and character than a simple evenly spaced two-colour stripe.

The strongest overall colour combination is:

WARM CREAM / IVORY
+
CHOCOLATE BROWN / ESPRESSO
+
MUSHROOM TAUPE
+
SOFT MOCHA / NATURAL FLAX

The overall appearance is warm, earthy and sophisticated.

It works beautifully in farmhouse, French-country, English-country, cottage, rustic, organic-modern, warm-minimal, traditional and transitional interiors.

These curtains are custom made from substantial PURE LINEN curtain fabric and are available as:

• ONE SINGLE CURTAIN PANEL

or

• A PAIR / SET OF TWO MATCHING CURTAIN PANELS

LINING OPTIONS

Choose from:

• UNLINED
• ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER
• OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 CERTIFIED 100% BLACKOUT POLYCOTTON LINER

A wide selection of standard finished sizes is available.

Custom widths and lengths can also be made.

COLOR DESCRIPTION

CREAM / IVORY PURE LINEN GROUND

The lighter portions of the fabric are best described as:

• Warm cream
• Ivory
• Natural linen
• Ecru
• Pale oatmeal
• Warm off-white
• Natural flax ivory

The fabric is not a stark optical white.

Its genuine linen weave gives the cream areas small natural tonal variations and visible woven character.

In bright daylight, these sections may appear lighter and closer to ivory.

Under warmer indoor lighting, they may read as cream, oatmeal or soft natural flax.

CHOCOLATE BROWN & ESPRESSO STRIPES

The darkest stripes have a rich warm-brown character.

Depending on lighting, they can appear as:

• Chocolate brown
• Espresso brown
• Coffee brown
• Dark cocoa
• Deep walnut
• Dark mocha
• Earth brown

These bands are BROWN rather than black.

In lower light, the darkest stripes can look extremely deep, but their warm chocolate and espresso undertones remain visible in stronger daylight.

The brown is softened by the natural texture of the linen, so it does not have the flat, harsh appearance of a synthetic black stripe.

MUSHROOM TAUPE STRIPES

A second group of stripes is noticeably softer and lighter.

These can appear as:

• Mushroom taupe
• Warm taupe
• Mocha taupe
• Greige brown
• Putty
• Café au lait
• Warm stone
• Soft cocoa

These medium tones help transition between the dark chocolate bands and the cream ground.

LIGHTER PINSTRIPES

The finest vertical lines can read as:

• Pale taupe
• Oatmeal
• Natural flax
• Sand
• Warm beige
• Mushroom beige

The combination of dark, medium and light neutral stripes is what gives this fabric its particularly rich ticking-inspired appearance.

OVERALL COLOR IMPRESSION

The finished curtain reads primarily as:

CHOCOLATE BROWN + CREAM

with supporting:

TAUPE + MOCHA + NATURAL FLAX.

This neutral palette coordinates beautifully with:

• Warm white
• Ivory
• Cream
• Oatmeal
• Beige
• Greige
• Mushroom
• Taupe
• Camel
• Cognac
• Chocolate brown
• Terracotta
• Rust
• Sage
• Olive
• Natural oak
• White oak
• Walnut
• Reclaimed timber
• Rattan
• Cane
• Jute
• Travertine
• Limestone
• Antique brass
• Aged bronze
• Matte black

MULTI-WIDTH FARMHOUSE STRIPE

The defining feature of this textile is its repeating vertical stripe.

Unlike an equal-width cabana stripe, the fabric combines several different stripe widths.

The design includes:

• Dark chocolate-brown vertical bands
• Espresso-brown stripes
• Medium mushroom-taupe bands
• Fine taupe pinstripes
• Cream vertical spaces
• Natural-flax lines
• Closely grouped narrow stripes

The pattern creates a layered rhythm across the complete curtain face.

Some sections provide stronger contrast through deep chocolate against cream.

Other areas are softer, using taupe and mocha against the ivory linen.

This creates the relaxed visual character associated with traditional country textiles.

TICKING-INSPIRED DESIGN

Traditional ticking fabrics are known for repeated narrow vertical stripes.

This pure linen uses the same visual language but combines fine pinstripes with somewhat broader brown and taupe bands.

It can therefore accurately be described as:

• Farmhouse stripe
• Ticking stripe
• Ticking-inspired linen
• French farmhouse stripe
• French-country stripe
• Country linen stripe
• Brown and cream stripe
• Cottage stripe
• Rustic linen stripe

The warm brown-and-cream palette gives the traditional ticking look a particularly sophisticated, earthy character.

VERTICAL STRIPES & WINDOW HEIGHT

Vertical stripes work beautifully for curtains because they naturally draw the eye upward.

This makes the pattern particularly effective for:

• Floor-length curtains
• Tall bedroom windows
• Living-room windows
• High ceilings
• French doors
• Sliding doors
• Floor-to-ceiling windows
• Extra-long custom drapes

When the curtains are gathered, alternating chocolate, taupe and cream stripes move in and out of the folds.

This creates considerably more depth and movement than the fabric displays while completely flat.

PURE HEAVYWEIGHT LINEN — APPROXIMATELY 294 GSM

The decorative face fabric is PURE LINEN.

The supplied fabric weight is:

403 GRAMS PER LINEAR METRE

on fabric measuring:

54 INCHES WIDE.

54 inches = approximately 1.3716 metres.

403 grams ÷ 1.3716 metres = approximately 293.8 grams per square metre.

The face fabric therefore weighs approximately:

294 GSM

This is a substantial curtain-weight linen rather than lightweight linen voile or gauze.

The approximately 294 GSM construction gives the finished curtains:

• Excellent fabric body
• A substantial natural fall
• Defined vertical folds
• Rich woven texture
• Strong visual presence
• A premium heavyweight appearance
• Suitability for large windows
• Suitability for extra-long curtains

NATURAL PURE LINEN CHARACTER

Pure linen is made from natural flax fibre.

Normal characteristics may include:

• Natural linen slubs
• Slight yarn-thickness variations
• Occasional thicker fibres
• Occasional finer fibres
• Small weave irregularities
• Subtle tonal variation
• Visible natural fibre texture
• Gentle creasing

These characteristics are inherent to genuine linen and should not be considered defects.

They are an important part of the relaxed and organic appearance of pure linen.

UNLINED — SEMI-SHEER PRIVACY CURTAINS

Choose UNLINED when you want to experience the pure linen in its most natural form.

Although this fabric is thick and substantial at approximately 294 GSM, natural woven linen can still allow some daylight to pass through when strongly illuminated from behind.

The unlined version therefore has a naturally:

SEMI-SHEER / LIGHT-FILTERING / PRIVACY CURTAIN QUALITY.

These curtains are significantly thicker and heavier than conventional lightweight sheer curtains.

However, natural unlined linen does not provide complete opacity.

The unlined option provides:

• Softly filtered natural daylight
• Moderate daytime privacy
• Maximum visibility of the natural linen weave
• A relaxed natural drape
• Beautiful illumination of the striped design
• A lighter finished window treatment

HOW THE STRIPES APPEAR WHEN BACKLIT

In strong daylight, the cream areas can become softly luminous while the chocolate and espresso stripes retain considerably greater depth.

Medium taupe bands remain visible between the two.

The multi-tonal pattern can therefore look subtly different throughout the day according to the strength and direction of natural light.

UNLINED PRIVACY NOTE

Strong backlighting may allow silhouettes to remain visible through unlined linen.

At night, privacy may also decrease when interior lights are switched on while it is dark outside.

If you require complete visual opacity, choose the organic cotton liner.

ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER

Choose the ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER when you want complete opacity and additional privacy while retaining softly filtered ambient daylight.

The organic cotton liner is fitted behind the striped pure linen face fabric.

It provides:

• Complete visual opacity through the curtain body
• Increased privacy
• Reduced visibility of silhouettes
• Softly filtered daylight
• Additional curtain body
• Fuller-looking folds
• A more substantial finished drape

This option works particularly well for:

• Living rooms
• Bedrooms
• Guest bedrooms
• Dining rooms
• Home offices
• Children's rooms
• Nurseries
• Street-facing windows

Choose organic cotton lining when privacy and opacity are important but complete darkness is not required.

OEKO-TEX® CERTIFIED 100% BLACKOUT LINER

Choose the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 CERTIFIED 100% BLACKOUT POLYCOTTON LINER when maximum light blocking is required.

The blackout lining is designed to block transmitted light through the curtain fabric.

This option is particularly suitable for:

• Bedrooms
• Nurseries
• Children's bedrooms
• Guest rooms
• Home cinemas
• Media rooms
• Strong morning-sun windows
• Rooms affected by street lighting
• Shift workers
• Customers who prefer a very dark sleeping environment

The decorative chocolate-brown-and-cream linen remains visible from inside the room while the blackout layer performs the light-blocking function behind it.

The curtain BODY itself becomes completely blackout.

Please remember that complete darkness throughout the entire room also depends on installation.

Light may still enter around:

• The outer sides
• Centre opening
• Top
• Bottom

if gaps remain around the curtain.

Generous window coverage provides the strongest room-darkening result.

SOLD AS ONE CURTAIN OR A PAIR / SET OF TWO

These curtains can be purchased either individually or as a matching pair.

SINGLE PIECE

Selecting SINGLE PIECE means you receive:

ONE FINISHED CURTAIN PANEL.

PAIR / SET OF TWO

Selecting PAIR / SET OF TWO means you receive:

TWO MATCHING FINISHED CURTAIN PANELS.

A pair is normally installed with one curtain positioned on each side of the window.

Please check your selected quantity carefully before ordering.

STANDARD WIDTH OPTIONS

Available standard finished widths are:

• 50 INCHES
• 100 INCHES

The selected width refers to the approximate FLAT FINISHED WIDTH OF EACH INDIVIDUAL CURTAIN before gathering.

CURTAIN FULLNESS

The flat finished curtain width is different from the width the curtain occupies after gathering.

Curtains generally look richer and fuller when their combined flat width is greater than the width of the curtain pole or track.

The preferred fullness depends on:

• Rod width
• Track width
• Number of panels
• Heading style
• Your preferred amount of gathering

For example:

A PAIR OF 50-INCH CURTAINS provides approximately 100 inches of combined flat finished width before gathering.

IMPORTANT — 100-INCH-WIDE CURTAINS

The face linen is approximately 50 inches wide for curtain construction.

Therefore:

EVERY 100-INCH-WIDE CURTAIN WILL BE MADE BY JOINING TWO APPROXIMATELY 50-INCH FABRIC PANELS.

The two widths are professionally sewn together.

This creates one vertical joining seam through the finished 100-inch curtain.

Once the curtain is installed and naturally gathered into folds, this seam is generally BARELY VISIBLE.

Joining multiple fabric widths is a standard professional curtain-making technique for producing extra-wide curtains.

If you purchase a PAIR of 100-inch curtains, each individual 100-inch panel will contain its own vertical joining seam.

STRIPE ALIGNMENT AT THE JOIN

Because this fabric has a continuously repeating vertical stripe, the sections will be joined as neatly and attractively as practical.

The stripe arrangement will be considered during construction so that the finished curtain remains visually balanced.

Once installed and gathered, the seam generally settles naturally within the curtain folds and becomes considerably less noticeable.

STANDARD HEIGHT OPTIONS

Finished heights are available from:

36 INCHES TO 180 INCHES

in 12-inch increments.

Available standard heights are:

• 36 inches
• 48 inches
• 60 inches
• 72 inches
• 84 inches
• 96 inches
• 108 inches
• 120 inches
• 132 inches
• 144 inches
• 156 inches
• 168 inches
• 180 inches

This extensive range makes the curtains suitable for everything from shorter windows to very tall floor-to-ceiling installations.

Hooks top provides:

ROD POCKET

A fabric channel is sewn across the curtain heading.

The rod slides directly through the channel.

Rod-pocket curtains provide:

Rod pocket works particularly well for:

• Bedrooms

CAFE CURTAINS ALSO AVAILABLE

We can also make CAFE CURTAINS from this same chocolate-brown, taupe and cream striped pure linen.

They are particularly useful when you want:

• Lower-window privacy
• Natural daylight through the upper window
• Kitchen window curtains
• Short custom curtains
• Farmhouse half-window curtains
• French-country kitchen curtains

This fine multi-width stripe works especially well for cafe curtains because the numerous vertical lines remain clearly visible on shorter panels.

Custom cafe curtains can be made for:

• Kitchen windows
• Kitchen sink windows
• Breakfast nooks
• Breakfast rooms
• Bathrooms
• Powder rooms
• Laundry rooms
• Utility rooms
• Pantry windows
• Cottage windows
• Small windows

The chocolate-brown-and-cream palette pairs especially well with:

• Warm-white cabinetry
• Cream cabinetry
• Mushroom cabinetry
• Taupe cabinetry
• Natural oak
• Walnut
• Reclaimed timber
• Marble
• Quartz
• Travertine
• Limestone
• Antique brass
• Aged bronze
• Matte-black hardware

• Cream sofas
• Oatmeal upholstery
• Natural oak
• Reclaimed wood
• Woven baskets

Combine with:

• Weathered oak
• Cream-painted furniture
• Linen upholstery
• Limestone
• Antique brass

ENGLISH COUNTRY & COTTAGE INTERIORS

This neutral stripe can be layered easily with:

• Floral upholstery
• Botanical cushions
• Plaid textiles
• Antique timber
• Painted furniture
• Traditional lamps
• Vintage rugs

Its restrained colour palette allows other patterns to be introduced without making the room feel excessively busy.

RUSTIC INTERIORS

For a warmer rustic direction, combine these curtains with:

• Walnut
• Reclaimed timber
• Cognac leather
• Terracotta pottery
• Woven wool rugs
• Natural stone
• Aged metal finishes

The espresso and chocolate tones work especially well alongside darker wood.

ORGANIC MODERN INTERIORS

The natural pure linen construction also makes these curtains compatible with organic-modern spaces.

Pair with:

• Pale oak
• Walnut
• Travertine
• Limestone
• Cream boucle
• Natural linen upholstery
• Handmade ceramics
• Woven fibres
• Simple sculptural furniture

The stripe adds architectural rhythm while the natural material keeps the overall appearance warm and organic.

The limited brown, taupe and cream palette also works beautifully in warm-minimal rooms.

Combine with:

• Warm white
• Cream
• Mushroom
• Greige
• Pale timber
• Natural stone
• Simple furniture
• Matte hardware

The pattern provides visual depth without requiring bright colour.

BEDROOM CURTAINS

For bedrooms:

Choose UNLINED for softly filtered natural daylight and maximum natural linen character.

Choose ORGANIC COTTON LINED for complete opacity and additional privacy.

Choose BLACKOUT LINED when maximum light blocking is required.

LIVING ROOM CURTAINS

These striped linen curtains pair beautifully with:

• Cream sofas
• Beige upholstery
• Oatmeal linen
• Cognac leather
• Natural oak
• Walnut
• Travertine
• Limestone
• Antique brass
• Neutral rugs

The rich brown lines create depth without making the window treatment overly dark.

DINING ROOM CURTAINS

Coordinate them with:

• Oak dining tables
• Walnut tables
• Cane chairs
• Cream upholstery
• Antique-brass lighting
• Neutral ceramics
• Stone surfaces
• Woven rugs

The vertical stripe gives the window subtle architectural definition.

EXTRA-LONG CURTAINS

Standard heights extend to 180 inches.

This makes the fabric suitable for:

• Floor-to-ceiling windows
• High ceilings
• Double-height rooms
• Tall bedrooms
• Large living rooms
• French doors
• Sliding doors
• Architectural glazing

The uninterrupted vertical lines are particularly attractive across very long curtain drops.

PATTERN PLACEMENT

Each curtain is individually cut from continuously striped fabric.

The exact placement of particular chocolate, taupe and cream stripes relative to each side edge may therefore vary according to the selected finished width.

When a pair is ordered, the two panels will coordinate beautifully, although exact mirror-image stripe placement should not be expected.

COLOR & SCREEN DISCLAIMER

Warm neutral colours can appear different according to lighting.

The darkest stripes may appear:

• Espresso brown
• Chocolate brown
• Coffee brown
• Dark walnut

The medium stripes may appear:

• Mushroom taupe
• Mocha
• Greige brown
• Warm stone

The lighter sections may appear:

• Cream
• Ivory
• Oatmeal
• Natural flax

Phone, tablet and computer displays may reproduce these subtle neutral shades differently.

If precise coordination with existing upholstery, paint, cabinetry or wallpaper is important, viewing a physical fabric sample before ordering several large custom curtain panels is recommended.

NATURAL CREASING

Pure linen naturally develops creases during handling, folding and shipping.

Many softer creases relax after the curtains are installed and allowed to hang under their own weight.

The curtains are intended to retain the authentic relaxed character of natural linen rather than look unnaturally rigid or synthetic.

CARE

Professional dry cleaning is recommended, particularly for lined curtains.

Avoid:

• Aggressive machine washing
• High-temperature washing
• Bleach
• Harsh detergents
• Excessive mechanical agitation

Professional care offers the safest way to preserve the pure linen face fabric, lining and custom finished dimensions.
