Widths shown are flat fabric widths per curtain, before gathering or pleating.

Measure for your curtains

Enter your width and height together, then apply your measurements.

Size-dropdown widths are flat fabric widths per curtain.

A gathered curtain covers less space than its flat fabric width. Choose fullness below; Grommet/Eyelet and Pinch pleats always need 2× your coverage width.

This selection also updates Heading style on the product page.

Choose your fullness

Multiply the rod / track coverage by your fullness, then divide by the number of curtains.

Photorealistic fullness examples; actual folds vary with fabric and heading.

Measure the usable span of your installed rod or track, from one end of the curtain coverage to the other. Exclude decorative finials.

A pair contains two curtains. The flat fabric width you order is per curtain, not the combined pair. Choosing a curtain count here updates Panel quantity on the product page.

Enter the full measured drop. For Hooks top only, we subtract 1 in (2.54 cm) because the curtain hangs slightly below the rod. Do not deduct it yourself.

Finished curtain height to orderEnter the height you measured above.

Apply your measurements

We select the exact available flat-width × finished-height size, or the closest larger size fitting both dimensions. For a larger size, your exact request is added to Custom sizes / requirements, preserving your own notes. Your curtain-count choice also updates Panel quantity on the product page.

Review your heading and fullness before applying. This updates your selected size but does not add anything to your cart.

How to measure · illustrations and examples

Measure the space your curtains will cover

Measure the usable span of your installed rod or track, from one end of the curtain coverage to the other. Exclude decorative finials.

Measure the usable rod or track span—not the window glass or decorative finials.

Example: a 100 in (254 cm) rod, two curtains and 2× fullness need 100 in (254 cm) flat width per curtain.

Flat fabric width before gathering or pleating—not the hanging coverage.

Measure from the top of the rod to your chosen bottom

Measure straight down from the top of your installed curtain rod to where you want the curtains to end. For a track, use the top of the installed track.

Start at the top of the rod or track. Stop at your chosen bottom.

CHARCOAL BLACK, TAUPE & IVORY PURE LINEN CURTAINS – PRINTED HERRINGBONE PLAID FARMHOUSE DRAPES

Bring dramatic neutral contrast, natural linen texture and timeless farmhouse character to your windows with these custom-made thick and heavy pure linen curtains.

The fabric combines charcoal black, dark graphite, taupe brown, mushroom beige, natural oatmeal and warm ivory in an unusual oversized plaid-stripe pattern.

Broad and narrow vertical bands intersect with irregular horizontal sections, creating a broken windowpane effect. Fine herringbone chevrons appear inside many of the printed bands, giving the design more texture and detail than a conventional striped or checked curtain.

From across the room, the pattern reads as a bold black, taupe and ivory farmhouse plaid. Viewed more closely, it reveals delicate zigzag markings, layered stripes, softly irregular edges and the natural fibers and slubs of genuine linen.

The neutral palette is striking without being brightly colored and works beautifully in modern farmhouse, rustic, French country, cottage, organic-modern, industrial farmhouse, lodge, cabin, Scandinavian, Japandi-inspired, transitional and contemporary interiors.

DETAILED COLOR DESCRIPTION

The darkest areas read as:

• Soft black
• Charcoal black
• Graphite gray
• Weathered black
• Deep espresso-charcoal
• Dark anthracite

These areas are not a flat jet black. The visible linen surface and softly mottled print give them a slightly weathered charcoal appearance.

The middle tones include:

• Taupe brown
• Mushroom beige
• Warm greige
• Mocha taupe
• Driftwood brown
• Stone beige
• Pale cocoa

The lightest areas include:

• Natural ivory
• Warm cream
• Oatmeal beige
• Flax beige
• Soft ecru
• Pale sand
• Natural linen

The strongest overall color impression is:

CHARCOAL BLACK + TAUPE BROWN + NATURAL IVORY

with supporting shades of:

MUSHROOM BEIGE + OATMEAL + GREIGE + FLAX + PALE COCOA

This fabric does not read as navy blue. Any cooler appearance in photographs comes from the charcoal-gray undertone of the darkest print rather than blue coloration.

DETAILED PATTERN DESCRIPTION

The pattern is best described as an artistic combination of:

• Oversized plaid
• Broken windowpane check
• Herringbone stripe
• Irregular farmhouse stripe
• Textured geometric check
• Neutral abstract plaid

Wide charcoal vertical bands form the strongest elements of the pattern. Several are accompanied by narrow black or taupe stripes separated by slim ivory lines.

These vertical bands intersect with horizontal sections containing repeated V-shaped or zigzag herringbone marks. Together, the bands create large rectangular blocks across the fabric.

Some blocks are natural ivory or oatmeal. Others are taupe, mushroom beige or warm greige. This alternation creates depth while keeping the overall palette calm and neutral.

The lines are intentionally soft and slightly irregular rather than perfectly sharp and mechanical. This gives the pattern an artisan-inspired appearance that works particularly well with the organic texture of pure linen.

This is not a standard two-color buffalo check, small gingham, tartan or conventional ticking stripe. It is a larger herringbone plaid-stripe design with varied line widths and softly irregular rectangular sections.

Please note that the decorative design is PRINTED onto the pure linen. It is not embroidered, tufted, appliquéd or raised. The herringbone appearance is part of the printed artwork.

PURE LINEN FACE FABRIC

• Face fabric: Pure linen
• Fabric character: Thick, heavy and substantial
• Surface: Naturally textured with visible fibers and linen slubs
• Pattern technique: Printed
• Supplied weight: 403 grams per linear meter
• Supplied fabric width: 54 inches
• Converted weight: Approximately 294 GSM

The GSM conversion is calculated as follows:

54 inches = 1.3716 meters
403 grams ÷ 1.3716 square meters = approximately 293.8 GSM

The pure linen face fabric is therefore listed as approximately 294 GSM.

This is a substantial linen rather than lightweight linen voile. It has enough body and weight to produce rich vertical folds while maintaining the relaxed movement and natural surface associated with genuine linen.

Natural linen may contain visible slubs, small knots, fibers, yarn-thickness variations and subtle irregularities in the woven surface. These are inherent characteristics of natural linen rather than manufacturing faults.

SINGLE CURTAIN OR PAIR

These curtains can be purchased as:

• One single curtain panel
• One pair or set of two matching curtain panels

Every size displayed refers to the finished measurements of ONE INDIVIDUAL CURTAIN PANEL unless the selected option specifically states that it includes a pair or set of two.

For example:

• Single 50 × 96 inches means one curtain measuring 50 inches wide × 96 inches long
• Pair 50 × 96 inches means two curtains, each measuring 50 inches wide × 96 inches long

Please check the selected quantity carefully before completing your purchase.

AVAILABLE WIDTHS

Each individual curtain panel is available in:

• 50 inches wide — approximately 127 cm
• 100 inches wide — approximately 254 cm

The stated width is the flat finished width of one individual curtain before gathering or arranging it into folds.

IMPORTANT 100-INCH-WIDE PANEL INFORMATION

The face fabric is produced in approximately 50-inch usable widths. Every 100-inch-wide curtain panel must therefore be constructed by professionally joining two 50-inch fabric widths.

This creates one vertical joining seam near the middle of the finished panel.

The pattern will be aligned across the seam as carefully as the fabric repeat permits. Once the curtain is installed and arranged into natural folds, the central seam is generally barely visible.

Please purchase the 100-inch-wide option only if you accept this necessary construction detail.

AVAILABLE HEIGHTS

Standard finished lengths are available from 36 inches to 180 inches in 12-inch increments:

• 36 inches — approximately 91 cm
• 48 inches — approximately 122 cm
• 60 inches — approximately 152 cm
• 72 inches — approximately 183 cm
• 84 inches — approximately 213 cm
• 96 inches — approximately 244 cm
• 108 inches — approximately 274 cm
• 120 inches — approximately 305 cm
• 132 inches — approximately 335 cm
• 144 inches — approximately 366 cm
• 156 inches — approximately 396 cm
• 168 inches — approximately 427 cm
• 180 inches — approximately 457 cm

This extensive range includes short curtains, standard floor-length panels and extra-long curtains for tall windows, French doors, high ceilings and double-height rooms.

CUSTOM CURTAIN SIZES

Custom widths and lengths are welcome.

If your exact required measurements are not listed, please select the next available standard size UP from the dimensions you require. Enter your exact finished width and finished length in the order details email.

Example:

If you require a panel measuring 50 inches wide × 90 inches long, select the 50 × 96-inch option and write:

“Exact finished size required: 50 inches wide × 90 inches long.”

Please do not select a standard size smaller than your required dimensions.

If a customized width exceeds the usable face-fabric width, one or more discreet joins may be necessary. Please contact us before ordering if you need assistance choosing the correct size.

FOUR HEADING STYLES

Choose from four curtain-top styles:

1. HOOKS TOP

The hooks-compatible top works with both curtain rods and curtain tracks.

For rod installation, attach the hooks to suitable curtain rings. For track installation, attach them to compatible track carriers.

Hooks Top creates a neat, tailored appearance and is particularly suitable for large windows, bay-window tracks and frequently operated curtains.

2. BACK TABS

Hidden fabric tabs are sewn onto the back of the curtain header. The rod passes through these concealed tabs, creating soft folds without visible rings or grommets on the front.

Back tabs provide a clean, relaxed finish well suited to farmhouse, organic-modern and minimalist interiors.

3. ROD POCKET

A fabric channel is sewn across the top of the curtain, allowing the rod to pass directly through the pocket.

Rod-pocket curtains create a softly gathered appearance ideal for farmhouse bedrooms, cottage living rooms, kitchens and decorative windows.

4. GROMMETS

Metal eyelets are fitted across the curtain header, allowing the rod to pass directly through them.

Grommets create structured, evenly spaced folds and allow the curtain to move easily along the rod. Please contact us before ordering if a particular grommet color or finish is essential.

LINING OPTIONS

Choose from three finishing options:

1. UNLINED – SEMI-SHEER PRIVACY CURTAIN

Unlined pure linen gently filters natural daylight and displays the linen texture and printed design most clearly.

The fabric offers a degree of daytime privacy but remains naturally semi-sheer. Strong light, shapes or silhouettes may be visible, particularly after dark when interior lights are switched on.

Choose unlined curtains if you prefer:

• Maximum natural linen character
• Softly filtered daylight
• Relaxed and lighter folds
• A semi-sheer appearance
• Moderate daytime privacy

Unlined curtains should not be considered completely private at night.

2. ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER

The organic cotton liner adds body, privacy and opacity while allowing softly diffused natural light into the room.

This lining makes the curtains completely opaque under normal household conditions. It is ideal when additional privacy is required without making the room completely dark.

Choose the organic cotton liner for:

• Living rooms
• Dining rooms
• Family rooms
• Home offices
• Guest bedrooms
• Nurseries requiring gentle daylight
• Street-facing windows
• Everyday daytime and nighttime privacy

The organic cotton liner is light filtering rather than blackout. Daylight will still produce a soft glow through the finished curtain.

3. 100% BLACKOUT OEKO-TEX CERTIFIED POLYCOTTON LINER

Choose the blackout liner when complete light blockage through the curtain fabric is required.

The blackout-grade liner is made from OEKO-TEX certified polycotton composed of 50% cotton and 50% polyester. It blocks light completely through the body of the lined curtain.

This option is particularly suitable for:

• Primary bedrooms
• Children’s bedrooms
• Nurseries
• Media rooms
• Home cinemas
• Night-shift sleeping spaces
• Rooms facing streetlights
• Windows receiving strong morning sunlight

As with all blackout window treatments, a small amount of light can enter around the top, sides or bottom if gaps remain between the curtain and the wall.

For the darkest possible result, allow the curtains to extend sufficiently above and beyond the window frame and order generous combined curtain width.

PERSONALIZATION IS REQUIRED

Suggested personalization formats:

“Hooks Top / Organic Cotton Light-Filtering Liner / Standard Selected Size”

The charcoal, taupe and natural ivory palette is especially attractive for modern farmhouse kitchens, French country breakfast areas, cottage bathrooms and neutral cafe-curtain installations.

MEASURING AND FULLNESS GUIDANCE

The selected curtain width is the flat finished width of each individual panel before gathering.

For an attractive gathered appearance, the combined flat width of your curtains should generally be greater than the width of the rod or track.

Approximately 1.5 to 2 times the rod or track width is commonly used, depending on the chosen heading and desired fullness.

Example:

For an 80-inch-wide rod, a pair of 50-inch-wide panels provides 100 inches of combined flat width. This gives approximately 1.25 times fullness and a relatively relaxed appearance.

For deeper and more luxurious folds, greater combined width may be preferable.

Measure the curtain length from the correct hanging point for your selected heading to the desired finishing position.

Possible finishing positions include:

• At the window sill
• Below the sill
• Just above the floor
• Touching the floor
• With a slight floor break
• Puddled onto the floor

If you need assistance, send us your rod or track width, required drop, preferred heading and desired fullness before placing your order.

PATTERN PLACEMENT

The exact placement of the herringbone plaid will vary according to the chosen panel dimensions and the section of fabric used.

When a pair is ordered together, the two panels will be coordinated as closely as reasonably possible. Exact mirror-image pattern placement cannot be guaranteed.

On 100-inch-wide panels, the printed design will be aligned across the central joining seam as carefully as the repeat permits.

COLOR DISCLAIMER

The photographed fabric appears as a combination of soft black, charcoal gray, taupe brown, mushroom beige, oatmeal, flax and natural ivory.

Its appearance may change according to:

• Natural daylight
• Warm or cool artificial lighting
• Surrounding wall colors
• Screen brightness
• Device calibration
• Camera exposure
• Individual color perception

We strongly recommend purchasing a physical fabric swatch before ordering if an exact color match is essential.
