Camel Tan & Greige Linen Roman Shade, Botanical Tree Print, Custom Blackout or Light Filtering Window Blind
CAMEL TAN & GREIGE PURE LINEN ROMAN SHADE – BOTANICAL TREE PRINT CUSTOM WINDOW BLIND
Bring warm natural colour, timeless botanical pattern and the rich texture of heavyweight pure linen to your windows with this custom-made Roman shade.
This luxurious thick linen fabric features a soft stone greige, gray-beige and natural flax-coloured ground decorated with a repeating warm camel-tan and caramel-brown botanical motif.
Each individual motif resembles a stylised leafy tree or botanical sprig enclosed within a softly scalloped teardrop-shaped medallion. The design repeats in neatly staggered rows across the linen, creating a balanced all-over pattern with influences from traditional folk textiles, Indian-inspired decorative prints, block-print aesthetics and relaxed organic interiors.
The warm camel and earthy brown design contrasts gently against the pale greige linen without appearing harsh or overly dark. The restrained natural palette makes this custom Roman blind extremely versatile for neutral bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, dining rooms, nurseries, home offices and other spaces where a subtle decorative window treatment is preferred.
The pattern works particularly beautifully with warm whites, cream, beige, taupe, natural oak, walnut, rattan, cane, jute, antique brass and other earthy materials.
Each Roman shade is individually made according to the exact width and height supplied by the customer.

COLOUR DESCRIPTION
The background is best described as a pale stone greige or gray-beige rather than pure white, cream or green.
Depending on the surrounding light, the linen ground may appear as:
• Stone greige
• Light gray-beige
• Natural flax
• Pale mushroom
• Soft taupe-gray
• Muted oatmeal-gray
The printed botanical pattern is noticeably warmer and contains:
• Camel tan
• Caramel brown
• Warm medium beige-brown
• Tobacco tan
• Soft earthy brown
The result is a sophisticated tonal neutral combination rather than a high-contrast brown-and-white pattern.
The face fabric has the natural woven character expected from pure linen, so both the background and print have a gently textured appearance rather than a perfectly flat synthetic surface.
The overall colour palette coordinates especially well with:
• Warm white walls
• Ivory and cream upholstery
• Beige furnishings
• Greige walls
• Taupe textiles
• Camel-coloured leather
• Natural oak furniture
• Walnut furniture
• Rattan
• Cane
• Jute and sisal rugs
• Travertine
• Limestone
• Antique brass
• Aged bronze
• Matte black hardware
• Terracotta accessories
• Olive decorative accents
• Natural woven baskets
Please remember that colour can appear slightly different according to natural daylight, artificial lighting and individual screen settings.
BOTANICAL TREE & LEAF PATTERN
The fabric features a repeating small-scale botanical motif arranged in evenly staggered rows.
Each motif contains:
• A central vertical stem
• Symmetrical pairs of leaves
• A pointed upper leaf
• A softly rounded botanical outline
• A scalloped outer shape
• A small trunk-like base
The complete form resembles a stylised tree, leafy sprig or folk-art botanical medallion.
The pattern is intentionally simple and graphic rather than realistic.
Its repeating rhythm gives the fabric a traditional textile quality reminiscent of:
• Indian-inspired botanical prints
• Folk textile patterns
• Block-print-inspired fabric
• Scandinavian botanical motifs
• Bohemian textiles
• Traditional small-scale fabric repeats
Because the botanical motifs are comparatively small and evenly distributed, this fabric works particularly well for Roman shades.
Even a narrow shade can display several complete motifs, while larger shades reveal a continuous repeat without the pattern becoming overwhelming.
PRINTED PURE LINEN
The botanical pattern is printed directly onto the pure linen face fabric.
The natural weave remains visibly present beneath the design, giving the finished fabric more depth and character than a perfectly smooth synthetic print.
The thick pure linen creates:
• Natural visual texture
• A substantial designer-quality appearance
• Attractive structured Roman folds
• A tactile premium finish
• A softly organic rather than overly formal look
The linen is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified.
This fabric is especially suitable for customers searching for:
• Beige linen Roman shades
• Brown Roman blinds
• Camel window shades
• Greige Roman shades
• Botanical Roman blinds
• Leaf-print window treatments
• Custom Roman shades
• Linen Roman shades
• Custom blackout blinds
• Light-filtering Roman shades
• Custom window blinds
• Made-to-measure shades

LINING OPTIONS
Please enter your chosen liner in the Etsy order details email.
OPTION 1: ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER
The organic cotton light-filtering liner softly reduces incoming sunlight while allowing the room to remain naturally illuminated.
This option is ideal if you would like:
• Soft filtered daylight
• Reduced harsh glare
• Additional privacy
• A naturally bright room
• A neat lined reverse
• Extra body for the Roman shade
• Protection for the reverse of the linen
• A natural organic cotton lining
This liner is LIGHT FILTERING rather than blackout.
Natural daylight will continue to pass softly through the completed blind, particularly when strong sunlight falls directly onto the window.
The actual amount of visible light will vary according to:
• Window direction
• Strength of sunlight
• Time of day
• Interior lighting
• Exterior lighting
• Inside or outside mounting
OPTION 2: 100% BLACKOUT OEKO-TEX CERTIFIED POLYCOTTON LINER
The blackout liner is made from non-toxic OEKO-TEX certified polycotton containing:
• 50% cotton
• 50% polyester
This blackout material is designed to block light from passing through the fabric itself.
The blackout option is particularly suitable for:
• Bedrooms
• Nurseries
• Children's rooms
• Guest bedrooms
• Media rooms
• Home cinemas
• Shift workers
• Light-sensitive sleepers
• Rooms receiving strong sunlight
• Rooms where stronger privacy is desired
• Spaces requiring greater light control
The blackout liner also gives the finished Roman shade additional body and structure.
IMPORTANT BLACKOUT INFORMATION
“100% blackout” refers to the performance of the blackout lining fabric itself.
A Roman shade does not form a completely sealed enclosure around the window.
Small amounts of light can therefore remain visible around the top, bottom or side edges, particularly when the shade is installed within the window recess.
For stronger overall room darkening, an outside-recess installation with sufficient overlap around the window opening generally provides better edge coverage.

HOW TO MEASURE FOR AN INSIDE-RECESS ROMAN SHADE
An inside-recess Roman shade is installed within the window opening.
This creates a neat, integrated appearance and leaves the surrounding wall or decorative window trim visible.
Before measuring, confirm that the recess has enough unobstructed depth for the blind and mounting hardware.
Check carefully for:
• Window handles
• Window locks
• Opening windows
• Projecting frames
• Decorative mouldings
• Tiles
• Vents
• Other obstructions
STEP 1 – MEASURE THE INSIDE WIDTH
Measure the exact internal recess width in three positions:
• Top
• Middle
• Bottom
Use the SMALLEST of these three width measurements.
Enter this exact recess width in the order details email.
DO NOT MAKE YOUR OWN WIDTH DEDUCTION.
Please provide the exact internal recess measurement. The appropriate production allowance will be taken into account when the Roman shade is made.
STEP 2 – MEASURE THE INSIDE HEIGHT
Measure the exact internal recess height at:
• Left
• Centre
• Right
Enter the exact inside-recess height.
STEP 3 – CHECK THE RECESS DEPTH
Make sure sufficient clear depth is available for:
• Mounting clamps
• Upper mechanism
• Folded Roman-shade fabric
• Smooth operation
Pay particular attention to window handles, locks and other projecting fittings.
STEP 4 – CONFIRM THE INSTALLATION TYPE
Enter:
Installation: Inside recess
Inside-recess and outside-recess mounting use different clamps, so the installation method must be stated correctly.
HOW TO MEASURE FOR AN OUTSIDE-RECESS ROMAN SHADE
An outside-recess Roman shade is fitted to the wall or decorative trim outside the window opening.
This mounting method is useful when you would like:
• Greater overall window coverage
• Increased privacy
• Reduced light entering around the edges
• A visually larger-looking window
• Clearance from handles inside the recess
• To cover a shallow or unsuitable recess
STEP 1 – MEASURE THE WINDOW OPENING
Measure the actual width of the window opening.
STEP 2 – ADD SIDE OVERLAP
For proper coverage, the finished Roman shade should generally be at least 4 inches / approximately 10 cm wider than the actual window opening wherever sufficient mounting space is available.
This normally provides approximately:
• 2 inches / 5 cm overlap on the left
• 2 inches / 5 cm overlap on the right
You may select a greater overlap if stronger privacy or room darkening is desired.
STEP 3 – ENTER THE COMPLETE FINISHED WIDTH
Enter the COMPLETE width you want the finished blind to cover, including the desired side overlap.
Example:
Window width: 36 inches
Left overlap: 2 inches
Right overlap: 2 inches
Required finished blind width: 40 inches
Enter 40 inches as your exact required width.
Do not provide only the glass width or window-opening width unless that is genuinely the final finished coverage you want.
STEP 4 – DECIDE THE TOP INSTALLATION POSITION
Choose exactly where the upper part of the Roman shade will be installed above the window.
Make sure:
• The mounting surface is suitable
• Enough room is available above the window
• The raised blind will not interfere with the ceiling
• Existing curtain poles will not obstruct operation
• Projecting handles will be cleared
• The surface can support the weight of the completed shade
STEP 5 – MEASURE THE FINISHED HEIGHT
Measure vertically from the exact point where the Roman shade will be installed down to the exact point where you want it to finish when completely lowered.
That complete measurement is your required finished height.
For an outside mount, do not simply enter the height of the glass or window opening unless that is exactly the coverage you require.
STEP 6 – CONFIRM THE INSTALLATION TYPE
Enter:
Installation: Outside recess
The appropriate outside-mount clamps will then be supplied.
IMPORTANT MEASURING NOTES
• Use a rigid metal tape measure whenever possible.
• Avoid using a soft sewing tape.
• Measure every window individually.
• Do not assume that apparently identical windows are exactly the same size.
• Measure every dimension at least twice.
• Clearly specify whether measurements are in inches or centimetres.
• Always enter width first and height second.
• For an inside-recess shade, enter the exact internal recess width without making your own deduction.
• For an outside-recess shade, enter the complete finished coverage required.
• For good outside-mount coverage, allow at least 4 inches / approximately 10 cm additional overall width wherever possible.
• Check carefully for handles, locks and projections.
• Do not rely only on architectural plans or the measurements of a previous blind.
• Review every dimension carefully before placing the order.
INSTALLATION HARDWARE INCLUDED
Installation hardware is included with the completed Roman shade.
Depending on the fitting method selected, you will receive:
• Inside-recess mounting clamps, OR
• Outside-recess mounting clamps
• Installation screws
Different clamps are used for inside and outside mounting.
Please therefore make sure that the correct installation type is entered in the order details email.
The suitability of the supplied screws can depend on the mounting surface.
Different materials including:
• Timber
• Brick
• Concrete
• Plasterboard
• Stone
• Tile
may require appropriate plugs, anchors or specialised fixings.
Where necessary, please obtain suitable fixings locally or consult a competent installer.
CORDED ROMAN SHADE
This is a functional cord-operated Roman window shade.
The operating mechanism allows the blind to be raised into horizontal folds and lowered across the window.
When fully lowered, the repeating camel-tan botanical pattern is displayed evenly across the pale greige linen face.
When raised, the heavyweight pure linen gathers into structured folds.
Operating cords must always be secured and kept completely out of the reach of babies, young children and pets.
The Roman shade should be installed and operated in accordance with the applicable window-covering and child-safety requirements in the destination country.
PATTERN PLACEMENT
Every Roman shade is individually cut according to the exact dimensions ordered.
The placement of individual botanical motifs can vary depending on:
• Ordered width
• Ordered height
• Pattern repeat
• Position from which the fabric is cut
The exact arrangement visible on the completed shade may therefore differ slightly from the listing photographs.
This is a normal characteristic of a custom-made product produced from patterned fabric.
Because this design has a relatively small and evenly distributed repeat, several motifs will normally remain visible even on narrower Roman shades.
When multiple shades are ordered together, every reasonable effort will be made to produce a visually coordinated appearance.
Perfectly identical motif placement cannot always be guaranteed.
NATURAL LINEN CHARACTERISTICS
Pure linen is a natural textile and may naturally contain:
• Small slubs
• Occasional knots
• Slightly thicker yarns
• Slightly thinner yarns
• Minor woven irregularities
• Subtle surface-texture variations
• Gentle differences throughout the natural weave
These are characteristic features of genuine linen rather than manufacturing defects.
The visible natural weave underneath the botanical print contributes to the relaxed, tactile and luxurious appearance of the fabric.

• Dining rooms
• Kitchens
• Breakfast rooms
• Home offices

• Cottage interiors
• Transitional interiors

• Neutral minimalist rooms

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
• Remove surface dust regularly with a soft brush.
• A vacuum cleaner with a soft upholstery attachment may be used on low suction.
• Support the fabric gently while vacuuming.
• Do not machine wash the completed Roman shade.
• Do not immerse the shade or operating mechanism in water.
• Do not use bleach or harsh cleaning chemicals.
• Avoid vigorous rubbing of the printed surface.
• Treat small marks carefully with a clean, slightly damp cloth.
• Always test any cleaning method on an inconspicuous area first.
• For extensive cleaning, consult a professional curtain or Roman-blind cleaning specialist.
