Measure for your curtains

Enter your width and height together, then apply your measurements.

Size-dropdown widths are flat fabric widths per curtain.

A gathered curtain covers less space than its flat fabric width. Choose fullness below; Grommet/Eyelet and Pinch pleats always need 2× your coverage width.

This selection also updates Heading style on the product page.

Choose your fullness

Multiply the rod / track coverage by your fullness, then divide by the number of curtains.

Photorealistic fullness examples; actual folds vary with fabric and heading.

Measure the usable span of your installed rod or track, from one end of the curtain coverage to the other. Exclude decorative finials.

A pair contains two curtains. The flat fabric width you order is per curtain, not the combined pair. Choosing a curtain count here updates Panel quantity on the product page.

Enter the full measured drop. For Hooks top only, we subtract 1 in (2.54 cm) because the curtain hangs slightly below the rod. Do not deduct it yourself.

Apply your measurements

We select the exact available flat-width × finished-height size, or the closest larger size fitting both dimensions. For a larger size, your exact request is added to Custom sizes / requirements, preserving your own notes. Your curtain-count choice also updates Panel quantity on the product page.

Review your heading and fullness before applying. This updates your selected size but does not add anything to your cart.

How to measure · illustrations and examples

Measure the space your curtains will cover

Measure the usable span of your installed rod or track, from one end of the curtain coverage to the other. Exclude decorative finials.

Measure the usable rod or track span—not the window glass or decorative finials.

Example: a 100 in (254 cm) rod, two curtains and 2× fullness need 100 in (254 cm) flat width per curtain.

Flat fabric width before gathering or pleating—not the hanging coverage.

Measure from the top of the rod to your chosen bottom

Measure straight down from the top of your installed curtain rod to where you want the curtains to end. For a track, use the top of the installed track.

Start at the top of the rod or track. Stop at your chosen bottom.

BROWN TAUPE & CREAM PURE LINEN FARMHOUSE TICKING STRIPE CURTAINS

Bring rich natural texture, timeless vertical stripes and a sophisticated layered neutral palette to your windows with these custom-made thick and heavyweight pure linen curtains.

The fabric combines a warm cream, ivory and natural-flax pure linen ground with an elegant arrangement of chocolate-brown, mushroom-taupe, mocha, greige-brown and lighter flax-taupe vertical stripes.

The stripe pattern is deliberately varied in width.

Some bands are substantial and dark, others are medium-width taupe stripes, while many are fine pinstripes running between wider cream sections.

This creates a much richer and more traditional appearance than a basic evenly spaced two-colour stripe.

The strongest overall colour impression is:

WARM CREAM / IVORY
+
CHOCOLATE BROWN
+
MUSHROOM TAUPE
+
MOCHA / GREIGE-BROWN
+
NATURAL FLAX ACCENTS

The design has the relaxed character of classic ticking, French farmhouse textiles, country linens and vintage striped upholstery, while the restrained neutral palette keeps it versatile enough for contemporary interiors.

These curtains work particularly well in:

• Farmhouse interiors
• French-country rooms
• English-country homes
• Cottage interiors
• Rustic homes
• Organic-modern spaces
• Warm-minimal rooms
• Transitional interiors
• Neutral bedrooms
• Country kitchens
• Living rooms
• Dining rooms

These curtains are made from thick and substantial PURE LINEN curtain fabric.

They are available as:

• ONE SINGLE CURTAIN PANEL

or

• A PAIR / SET OF TWO MATCHING CURTAIN PANELS

LINING OPTIONS

Choose from three lining options:

• UNLINED
• ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER
• OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 CERTIFIED 100% BLACKOUT POLYCOTTON LINER

A wide range of standard finished widths and lengths is available.

Custom dimensions can also be made.

COLOR DESCRIPTION

WARM CREAM / IVORY LINEN GROUND

The lighter sections of the textile can be described as:

• Warm cream
• Ivory
• Natural linen
• Ecru
• Pale oatmeal
• Flax ivory
• Warm off-white

The base is not a bright optical white.

The natural linen yarn gives the cream sections visible woven texture, subtle flax speckling and small organic variations.

Under strong daylight, these lighter areas may appear brighter and closer to ivory.

Under warm artificial lighting, they can look creamier or slightly more oatmeal toned.

CHOCOLATE-BROWN STRIPES

The darkest vertical bands are distinctly brown rather than black.

They can appear as:

• Chocolate brown
• Espresso brown
• Coffee brown
• Dark cocoa
• Walnut brown
• Deep mocha
• Dark umber

In lower light they may appear extremely deep, but in stronger daylight their warm brown undertone is clear.

The natural linen texture softens the colour slightly, so the stripe feels earthy and textile-rich rather than harsh or flat.

MUSHROOM-TAUPE STRIPES

A second group of bands is softer and lighter than the deepest chocolate stripes.

These may appear as:

• Mushroom taupe
• Warm taupe
• Mocha taupe
• Greige brown
• Putty
• Warm stone
• Café-au-lait
• Soft cocoa
• Mink taupe

These tones create a gradual transition between the deepest brown stripes and the cream linen ground.

LIGHT TAUPE & FLAX PINSTRIPES

The finest vertical lines can appear as:

• Natural flax
• Pale taupe
• Sand
• Oatmeal
• Light mocha
• Warm beige
• Mushroom beige
• Soft greige

These fine stripes are an important part of the pattern.

They give the textile its intricate ticking-inspired appearance rather than allowing the design to become a simple bold brown-and-cream stripe.

OVERALL COLOR IMPRESSION

The fabric reads primarily as:

CHOCOLATE BROWN + TAUPE + CREAM

with lighter:

MOCHA + NATURAL FLAX + GREIGE PINSTRIPES.

This palette coordinates beautifully with:

• Warm white
• Ivory
• Cream
• Oatmeal
• Beige
• Greige
• Taupe
• Mushroom
• Camel
• Cognac
• Chocolate brown
• Rust
• Terracotta
• Sage green
• Olive green
• Natural oak
• White oak
• Walnut
• Reclaimed wood
• Rattan
• Cane
• Jute
• Travertine
• Limestone
• Antique brass
• Aged bronze
• Matte black

MULTI-WIDTH FARMHOUSE STRIPE

The defining feature of the fabric is its repeating vertical stripe pattern.

Unlike a simple equal-width stripe, the design combines:

• Dark chocolate-brown bands
• Medium mushroom-taupe stripes
• Narrow mocha lines
• Fine flax pinstripes
• Warm cream spaces
• Alternating wide and narrow sections

The stripe rhythm changes subtly across the textile.

Some darker bands sit close together.

Other areas contain more open cream linen between the stripes.

This gives the finished fabric a relaxed, collected appearance rather than an overly mechanical pattern.

TICKING-INSPIRED DESIGN

Traditional ticking textiles are known for repeated narrow vertical stripes, often combined with slightly wider bands.

This fabric strongly reflects that visual tradition.

The combination of:

• Fine pinstripes
• Medium taupe bands
• Wider dark-brown stripes
• Warm cream ground

creates a sophisticated modern interpretation of classic ticking.

The pattern can accurately be described as:

• Ticking stripe
• Farmhouse stripe
• French farmhouse stripe
• French-country stripe
• Country linen stripe
• Cottage stripe
• Brown and cream stripe
• Rustic linen stripe
• Neutral ticking stripe
• Vintage-inspired stripe

FRENCH FARMHOUSE CHARACTER

The muted cream, taupe and brown palette gives this textile a distinctly European-country character.

The fabric works particularly well with:

• Weathered oak
• Natural stone
• Cream upholstery
• Antique brass
• Painted furniture
• Wicker
• Vintage ceramics
• Reclaimed timber

The stripe is traditional enough to complement antiques and rustic furnishings but clean enough to work beside contemporary pieces.

VERTICAL STRIPES & WINDOW HEIGHT

Vertical stripes are particularly effective on curtains because they naturally draw the eye upward.

They can visually emphasise window height and work especially well for:

• Floor-length curtains
• Tall bedroom windows
• Living-room windows
• Dining-room windows
• High ceilings
• French doors
• Sliding doors
• Floor-to-ceiling windows
• Extra-long custom drapes

Once the curtains are gathered, the alternating chocolate, taupe and cream sections move in and out of the folds.

This gives the finished curtain considerably more depth than the flat swatch alone suggests.

PURE HEAVYWEIGHT LINEN — APPROXIMATELY 294 GSM

The decorative face fabric is PURE LINEN.

The supplied fabric weight is:

403 GRAMS PER LINEAR METRE

on fabric measuring:

54 INCHES WIDE.

54 inches equals approximately 1.3716 metres.

403 grams per linear metre at this width converts to approximately:

294 GSM

or approximately:

294 GRAMS PER SQUARE METRE.

This is a substantial curtain-weight linen rather than a lightweight linen voile or gauze.

The approximately 294 GSM construction provides:

• Excellent fabric body
• A substantial natural fall
• Defined curtain folds
• Rich woven texture
• Strong visual presence
• A premium heavyweight feel
• Suitability for large windows
• Suitability for extra-long curtains

NATURAL PURE LINEN CHARACTER

Pure linen is made from natural flax fibre.

It should not be expected to have the perfectly uniform surface of synthetic fabric.

Normal natural characteristics may include:

• Linen slubs
• Slight yarn-thickness variations
• Occasional thicker fibres
• Occasional finer fibres
• Small weave irregularities
• Natural tonal variation
• Visible fibre texture
• Gentle creasing

These characteristics are inherent to genuine linen and are not considered defects.

They are part of the relaxed organic appearance that makes pure linen especially suitable for farmhouse, country and natural interiors.

UNLINED — SEMI-SHEER PRIVACY CURTAINS

Choose UNLINED when you want the pure linen in its most natural form.

Although this is thick and substantial approximately 294 GSM linen, natural woven linen can still allow some daylight through when strongly illuminated from behind.

The unlined curtains therefore have a naturally:

SEMI-SHEER / LIGHT-FILTERING / PRIVACY CURTAIN QUALITY.

These are significantly thicker and heavier than conventional voile or gauze curtains.

However, unlined natural linen is not completely opaque.

The unlined option provides:

• Softly filtered natural daylight
• Moderate daytime privacy
• Maximum visibility of natural linen texture
• A relaxed drape
• Beautiful illumination of the striped pattern
• A lighter finished window treatment

HOW THE STRIPES APPEAR WHEN BACKLIT

When daylight passes through the curtains:

• Cream sections become brighter and more luminous
• Chocolate-brown bands retain greater depth
• Mushroom-taupe stripes remain softly visible
• Fine flax pinstripes can become more noticeable

The multi-tonal pattern therefore changes subtly throughout the day according to the strength and direction of natural light.

UNLINED PRIVACY NOTE

Strong backlighting may allow silhouettes to remain visible through unlined linen.

At night, privacy can also decrease when interior lights are switched on while it is dark outside.

If complete opacity is required, choose the organic cotton light-filtering liner.

ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER

Choose the ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER when you want increased privacy while retaining softly filtered daylight.

The organic cotton liner is installed behind the decorative striped pure linen.

This option makes the finished curtain completely opaque rather than semi-sheer.

Benefits include:

• Complete visual opacity through the curtain body
• Greater privacy
• Reduced visibility of silhouettes
• Softly filtered daylight
• Additional curtain body
• Fuller-looking folds
• A more substantial finished drape

This option is particularly suitable for:

• Living rooms
• Bedrooms
• Guest bedrooms
• Dining rooms
• Home offices
• Children's rooms
• Nurseries
• Street-facing windows

Choose the cotton liner when privacy and opacity are important but complete blackout is not required.

OEKO-TEX® CERTIFIED 100% BLACKOUT LINER

Choose the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 CERTIFIED 100% BLACKOUT POLYCOTTON LINER when maximum light blocking is required.

The blackout lining is designed to prevent transmitted light from passing through the curtain body.

It is particularly suitable for:

• Bedrooms
• Nurseries
• Children's bedrooms
• Guest rooms
• Media rooms
• Home cinemas
• Rooms receiving strong morning sunlight
• Rooms affected by exterior lighting
• Shift workers
• Customers who prefer a dark sleeping environment

The decorative brown, taupe and cream linen remains visible from inside the room.

The blackout layer performs the light-blocking function behind it.

The curtain body itself provides complete blackout.

Please remember that total room darkness also depends on installation.

Light may still enter around:

• The outer sides
• Centre opening
• Top
• Bottom

if gaps remain around the curtain.

For the strongest room-darkening result, generous curtain coverage around the window is recommended.

SOLD AS A SINGLE CURTAIN OR PAIR / SET OF TWO

These curtains can be purchased either individually or as a matching pair.

SINGLE PIECE

Selecting SINGLE PIECE means you receive:

ONE FINISHED CURTAIN PANEL.

PAIR / SET OF TWO

Selecting PAIR / SET OF TWO means you receive:

TWO MATCHING FINISHED CURTAIN PANELS.

A pair is generally installed with one curtain on each side of a window.

Please check your selected quantity carefully before placing the order.

STANDARD WIDTH OPTIONS

The standard finished width options are:

• 50 INCHES
• 100 INCHES

The selected width refers to the approximate FLAT FINISHED WIDTH OF EACH INDIVIDUAL CURTAIN before gathering.

CURTAIN FULLNESS

Flat finished curtain width is different from the amount of space a curtain occupies once gathered.

Curtains normally look fuller and more luxurious when their combined flat width is greater than the width of the curtain pole or track.

The preferred fullness depends on:

• Curtain rod width
• Curtain track width
• Number of panels
• Heading style
• Your preferred degree of gathering

For example:

A PAIR OF 50-INCH CURTAINS gives approximately 100 inches of combined flat finished width before gathering.

IMPORTANT — 100-INCH-WIDE CURTAIN CONSTRUCTION

The face linen is approximately 50 inches wide for curtain construction.

Therefore:

EVERY 100-INCH-WIDE CURTAIN WILL BE MADE BY JOINING TWO APPROXIMATELY 50-INCH FABRIC PANELS.

The two fabric widths are professionally sewn together.

This creates one vertical joining seam through the finished 100-inch curtain.

Once the curtain is installed and naturally gathered into folds, the seam is generally BARELY VISIBLE.

Joining multiple fabric widths is a standard professional curtain-making method used for producing extra-wide curtains.

If you purchase a PAIR of 100-inch-wide curtains, each individual 100-inch curtain will contain its own vertical joining seam.

STRIPE ALIGNMENT AT THE JOIN

Because this fabric has a continuously repeating vertical stripe, the fabric widths will be joined as neatly and attractively as practical.

The stripe arrangement will be considered during construction so the completed curtain remains visually balanced.

Once installed and gathered, the vertical joining seam normally sits naturally among the folds and becomes considerably less noticeable.

STANDARD HEIGHT OPTIONS

Finished curtain lengths are available from:

36 INCHES TO 180 INCHES

in 12-inch increments.

Available standard heights are:

• 36 inches
• 48 inches
• 60 inches
• 72 inches
• 84 inches
• 96 inches
• 108 inches
• 120 inches
• 132 inches
• 144 inches
• 156 inches
• 168 inches
• 180 inches

This broad range makes the curtains suitable for shorter windows as well as exceptionally tall floor-to-ceiling installations.

• Woven wool
• Natural stone
• Aged bronze

• Cream boucle
• Natural linen upholstery
• Handmade ceramics

• Cream
• Greige
• Mushroom
• Taupe
• Pale wood
• Natural stone
• Simple furniture
• Matte metal details

The varied stripe widths provide interest without relying on bright colour.

BEDROOM CURTAINS

For bedrooms:

Choose UNLINED for softly filtered daylight and maximum natural linen character.

DINING ROOM CURTAINS

Coordinate them with:

• Oak dining tables
• Walnut furniture
• Cane chairs
• Cream upholstery
• Brass pendant lights
• Neutral ceramics
• Natural stone
• Woven rugs

The vertical pattern can give the window a refined architectural quality.

EXTRA-LONG CURTAINS

Standard lengths extend up to 180 inches.

This makes the fabric suitable for:

• Floor-to-ceiling windows
• High ceilings
• Double-height rooms
• Tall bedrooms
• Large living rooms
• French doors
• Sliding doors
• Architectural glazing

The uninterrupted stripes are especially effective on long panels because they naturally emphasise window height.

PATTERN PLACEMENT

Every curtain is individually cut from continuously striped fabric.

The exact position of the chocolate, taupe and cream stripes relative to the side edges may therefore vary depending on the selected finished width.

When a pair is ordered, the curtains will coordinate beautifully, although exact mirror-image stripe placement should not be expected.

COLOR & SCREEN DISCLAIMER

Warm neutral shades can appear different depending on lighting.

The darkest lines may appear:

• Chocolate brown
• Espresso brown
• Coffee
• Deep walnut

The medium stripes may appear:

• Taupe
• Mushroom
• Mocha
• Greige brown

The lighter areas may appear:

• Cream
• Ivory
• Oatmeal
• Natural flax

Phone, tablet and computer screens can reproduce subtle brown and taupe tones differently.

If precise coordination with upholstery, cabinetry, wallpaper or paint is important, viewing a physical fabric swatch before ordering multiple large custom panels is recommended.

NATURAL CREASING

Pure linen naturally develops creases during folding, handling and shipping.

Many softer creases relax after installation as the curtain hangs under its own weight.

The finished curtains are intended to retain the authentic relaxed character of linen rather than appear unnaturally rigid or synthetic.

CARE

Professional dry cleaning is recommended, particularly for lined curtains.

Avoid:

• Aggressive machine washing
• High-temperature washing
• Bleach
• Harsh detergents
• Excessive mechanical agitation

Professional care provides the safest way to preserve the pure linen face fabric, lining and custom finished dimensions.
