1. Light Filtering Organic Cotton Liner This liner softly filters daylight while adding privacy and making the shade more opaque. It is a beautiful choice for living rooms, kitchens, dining rooms, offices, and spaces where you want natural light with privacy.

2. 100% Blackout OEKO TEX Certified Polycotton Liner This is a non-toxic OEKO TEX certified blackout liner made from 50% cotton and 50% polyester. It is designed to block light completely through the fabric and is ideal for bedrooms, nurseries, media rooms, shift workers, afternoon naps, and anyone who prefers a dark room. For best room-darkening results, outside recess installation with extra overlap is recommended because all inside-mounted blinds may allow small light gaps around the edges.

HOW TO MEASURE FOR INSIDE RECESS / INSIDE MOUNT

Inside recess fitting means the Roman shade sits inside the window frame or window opening.

Step 1: Measure the exact recess width at the top. Do not make any deductions. Step 2: Measure the exact recess width at the top. Do not make any deductions. Step 3: Measure the exact recess height. Do not make any deductions. Step 4: Use the full height measurement needed for coverage. Step 5: Enter the exact recess measurements in the order details email and write “Inside recess installation.” Step 6: Make sure there is enough depth inside the recess for the Roman shade hardware and folded fabric stack.

Inside recess is best if you want a neat, fitted look within the window frame. Please remember that inside-mounted blackout shades may still have small light gaps at the sides due to the fitting style.

HOW TO MEASURE FOR OUTSIDE RECESS / OUTSIDE MOUNT

Outside recess fitting means the Roman shade is installed on the wall or trim outside the window opening.

Step 1: Measure the full area you want the shade to cover. Step 2: For better privacy and light control, add extra width on both sides of the window opening. Step 3: For blackout use, we recommend adding at least 2–4 inches / 5–10 cm on each side where possible. Step 4: Add extra height above the window so the shade can stack neatly when raised. Step 5: Enter the exact finished shade size you want in the order details email and write “Outside recess installation.”

Outside recess is recommended for maximum privacy, better blackout coverage, and a larger designer look.
