Measure for your curtains

Enter your width and height together, then apply your measurements.

Size-dropdown widths are flat fabric widths per curtain.

A gathered curtain covers less space than its flat fabric width. Choose fullness below; Grommet/Eyelet and Pinch pleats always need 2× your coverage width.

This selection also updates Heading style on the product page.

Choose your fullness

Multiply the rod / track coverage by your fullness, then divide by the number of curtains.

Photorealistic fullness examples; actual folds vary with fabric and heading.

Measure the usable span of your installed rod or track, from one end of the curtain coverage to the other. Exclude decorative finials.

A pair contains two curtains. The flat fabric width you order is per curtain, not the combined pair. Choosing a curtain count here updates Panel quantity on the product page.

Enter the full measured drop. For Hooks top only, we subtract 1 in (2.54 cm) because the curtain hangs slightly below the rod. Do not deduct it yourself.

Finished curtain height to orderEnter the height you measured above.

Apply your measurements

We select the exact available flat-width × finished-height size, or the closest larger size fitting both dimensions. For a larger size, your exact request is added to Custom sizes / requirements, preserving your own notes. Your curtain-count choice also updates Panel quantity on the product page.

Review your heading and fullness before applying. This updates your selected size but does not add anything to your cart.

How to measure · illustrations and examples

Measure the space your curtains will cover

Measure the usable span of your installed rod or track, from one end of the curtain coverage to the other. Exclude decorative finials.

Measure the usable rod or track span—not the window glass or decorative finials.

Example: a 100 in (254 cm) rod, two curtains and 2× fullness need 100 in (254 cm) flat width per curtain.

Flat fabric width before gathering or pleating—not the hanging coverage.

Measure from the top of the rod to your chosen bottom

Measure straight down from the top of your installed curtain rod to where you want the curtains to end. For a track, use the top of the installed track.

Start at the top of the rod or track. Stop at your chosen bottom.

Blue & Ivory Damask Linen Jacquard Curtains, Heavy Custom Drapes, Blackout Option, Extra Long Panels

Product description
Shipping & returns

BLUE & IVORY DAMASK LINEN JACQUARD CURTAINS

Create an elegant, substantial window treatment with these thick and heavy linen jacquard curtains, woven with an oversized ornamental damask pattern in soft dusty blue, muted blue-grey and warm ivory.

The fabric has a soft ivory to creamy off-white linen ground covered with large, highly detailed damask medallions in a muted dusty blue / pale blue-grey tone.

The blue is sophisticated and softly weathered rather than bright or saturated. Depending on the lighting, it may read as dusty blue, misty blue-grey, pale slate blue or softly faded steel blue.

The large-scale jacquard medallions have a gently distressed, antiqued appearance that gives the fabric the character of an aged European textile while remaining subtle enough for contemporary neutral interiors.

These curtains are available as:

• A SINGLE CURTAIN PANEL
or
• A PAIR / SET OF 2 CURTAINS

Choose from:

• Unlined
• Organic cotton light-filtering lining
• OEKO-TEX certified 100% blackout polycotton lining

Standard widths of 50 inches and 100 inches are available, with lengths from 36 inches all the way to 180 inches.

Custom sizes are also available.

COLOR

The background is a soft warm ivory / creamy off-white.

It is not a bright optic white. The warmer ivory base keeps the overall colour scheme soft and natural.

The woven damask design ranges between:

• Dusty blue
• Soft blue-grey
• Pale slate blue
• Muted steel blue
• Weathered blue
• Very soft grey-blue

The blue motifs have slightly varied tonal density because of the woven jacquard construction and deliberately distressed appearance.

The overall colour combination is:

SOFT IVORY / CREAM
+
DUSTY BLUE / BLUE-GREY

This is a particularly versatile palette for buyers looking for blue curtains without the intensity of navy, cobalt or bright turquoise.

The colours work beautifully with white, ivory, cream, greige, beige, pale grey, natural wood, oak, walnut, antique brass and other restrained neutral interiors.

PATTERN

The pattern consists of oversized ornamental damask medallions arranged in a staggered repeating layout across the linen.

Each principal medallion is highly symmetrical and contains intricate decorative elements including:

• Curving scrollwork
• Stylised floral forms
• Leaf-like details
• Classical ornamental flourishes
• Central floral medallions
• Smaller crown-like motifs
• Decorative extensions between the main repeats

The large motifs are separated by smaller coordinating ornamental elements that continue the rhythm of the pattern across the fabric.

The edges and internal details of the blue motifs have a slightly faded and weathered quality rather than appearing perfectly solid.

This produces a softer antique-textile effect and prevents the pattern from looking overly formal or sharply graphic.

The design is JACQUARD WOVEN into the textile.

It is not simply printed onto the surface.

The jacquard construction gives the pattern woven depth and texture that becomes especially apparent when the curtains are viewed at close range.

HEAVY LINEN JACQUARD FABRIC

The face fabric weighs approximately 294 GSM.

This is calculated from the original specification of 403 grams per linear metre at a fabric width of approximately 54 inches / 137 cm.

At approximately 294 GSM, this is a substantial curtain fabric rather than lightweight linen voile.

The heavy construction creates:

• Substantial body
• Beautiful full folds
• A weighty drape
• Visible woven character
• A more structured appearance
• Enhanced privacy compared with lightweight sheer linen
• Excellent suitability for tall and wide windows

The linen surface also displays natural-looking woven texture, fine yarn variation and subtle slub character.

These small irregularities are part of the visual character of linen and should not be confused with defects.

SINGLE PANEL OR PAIR / SET OF 2

You may order the curtains as either:

SINGLE CURTAIN
1 finished curtain panel

or

PAIR / SET OF 2
2 matching finished curtain panels

IMPORTANT:

The width selected from the menu refers to EACH INDIVIDUAL CURTAIN.

For example:

PAIR OF 50-INCH-WIDE CURTAINS

You will receive:

2 curtains
Each curtain = 50 inches wide

Combined flat fabric width = 100 inches / 254 cm

PAIR OF 100-INCH-WIDE CURTAINS

You will receive:

2 curtains
Each curtain = 100 inches wide

Combined flat fabric width = 200 inches / 508 cm

Please remember that flat curtain width and installed coverage are not the same thing.

Curtains require additional width to form attractive gathers and folds, so the combined curtain width should normally be greater than the width of the window or curtain rod being covered.

LINING OPTIONS

Three lining configurations are available.

1. UNLINED — SEMI-SHEER PRIVACY CURTAINS

Although this linen jacquard is thick and substantial, the unlined fabric retains some natural translucency when positioned against strong daylight.

The unlined curtains therefore provide:

• Soft natural light filtering
• Daytime privacy
• A relaxed linen appearance
• Natural fabric movement
• Semi-sheer rather than completely opaque coverage

The heavier fabric provides considerably more visual substance than a lightweight sheer curtain, but an unlined panel should not be described as fully opaque.

When the room is brightly illuminated at night, silhouettes may be visible from outside depending on lighting conditions.

Choose unlined when you want to retain the most natural appearance of the linen and allow softly filtered daylight into the room.

2. ORGANIC COTTON LIGHT-FILTERING LINER

Choose the organic cotton liner when additional privacy and complete opacity are preferred without making the room completely dark.

The organic cotton lining:

• Makes the curtain completely opaque
• Prevents a direct view through the fabric
• Adds additional privacy
• Softens incoming daylight
• Gives the curtain additional body
• Retains a light-filtering effect rather than full blackout

This option works particularly well in:

• Living rooms
• Dining rooms
• Bedrooms
• Street-facing rooms
• Home offices
• Spaces where privacy is required but natural daylight is still desirable

The cotton liner is concealed behind the linen jacquard face fabric.

From inside the room, the appearance of the blue-and-ivory jacquard remains the focal point.

3. OEKO-TEX CERTIFIED 100% BLACKOUT POLYCOTTON LINER

For maximum light control, choose the OEKO-TEX certified 100% blackout polycotton liner.

This lining blocks light completely through the lined curtain fabric.

It also makes the curtains fully opaque and provides maximum privacy.

The blackout option is especially suitable for:

• Bedrooms
• Nursery rooms
• Daytime sleeping
• Media rooms
• Brightly exposed windows
• Street-facing rooms
• Rooms requiring maximum privacy
• Spaces where darkness is preferred

The blackout liner remains concealed behind the decorative linen jacquard face.

IMPORTANT BLACKOUT INFORMATION

The blackout liner blocks light completely through the curtain fabric itself.

The amount of darkness achieved throughout the entire room also depends on installation.

Light can still enter around:

• The sides of the curtains
• Above the curtain rod or track
• Below the curtain
• Between curtains if insufficient overlap is provided

For the darkest possible room, use generous curtain width and minimise gaps around the window.

STANDARD WIDTH OPTIONS

Finished width PER CURTAIN:

• 50 inches / approximately 127 cm
• 100 inches / approximately 254 cm

IMPORTANT — 100-INCH-WIDE CURTAINS

Each 100-inch-wide curtain is constructed by joining two approximately 50-inch-wide sections of fabric.

This means that every 100-inch-wide finished curtain contains one vertical joining seam.

The seam is professionally sewn and becomes barely visible once the curtain is:

• Installed
• Gathered
• Arranged into folds
• Viewed normally within the room

Because the curtain falls into vertical folds, the joining seam naturally becomes much less noticeable after installation.

If you order a PAIR of 100-inch-wide curtains, each individual 100-inch-wide curtain will contain its own joining seam.

STANDARD LENGTH OPTIONS

The following finished lengths are available:

• 36 inches / 91.4 cm
• 48 inches / 121.9 cm
• 60 inches / 152.4 cm
• 72 inches / 182.9 cm
• 84 inches / 213.4 cm
• 96 inches / 243.8 cm
• 108 inches / 274.3 cm
• 120 inches / 304.8 cm
• 132 inches / 335.3 cm
• 144 inches / 365.8 cm
• 156 inches / 396.2 cm
• 168 inches / 426.7 cm
• 180 inches / 457.2 cm

Lengths therefore run from 36 inches through 180 inches in 12-inch increments.

These extended lengths make the curtains particularly suitable for:

• Extra tall windows
• High ceilings
• Floor-to-ceiling windows
• Large living rooms
• Oversized bedroom windows
• Double-height spaces
• Extra-long curtain installations

CUSTOM SIZE CURTAINS

Custom finished measurements are also available.

If your required measurement falls between two standard sizes, please select the NEXT AVAILABLE SIZE UP that is large enough to accommodate your required dimensions.

Then enter your exact finished measurements in the order details email.

EXAMPLE:

Required finished size:

47 inches wide × 90 inches high

Select:

50 inches wide × 96 inches high

Then write in Personalization:

Exact finished size: 47 W × 90 H inches

We will make the curtain to the requested smaller finished dimensions.

Please clearly state whether your measurements are:

INCHES
or
CENTIMETRES

If your required dimensions exceed the largest size available from the listing menu, please contact us before ordering.

FOUR HEADING STYLES

Choose from four curtain heading options.

1. HOOKS TOP

The Hooks Top heading is suitable for both curtain rods and curtain tracks when used with the appropriate compatible hardware.

It can be used with:

• Curtain rods fitted with suitable rings
• Curtain tracks fitted with suitable gliders or carriers

This is an excellent choice when you want a versatile heading suitable for traditional rods or track-mounted curtain installations.

2. BACK TABS

Fabric tabs are positioned on the reverse of the curtain heading.

The rod passes through the concealed tabs, so very little hanging hardware is visible from the front.

Back-tab curtains create:

• Clean vertical folds
• A tailored appearance
• Even gathering
• A simple, uncluttered heading

3. ROD POCKET

A fabric channel is sewn across the upper edge of the curtain.

The curtain rod passes directly through this pocket.

Rod-pocket curtains create a classic softly gathered appearance and are particularly suitable for windows where the curtain does not need to be opened and closed constantly.

4. GROMMETS

Metal eyelets / grommets are fitted across the curtain heading.

The curtain rod passes directly through the grommets.

This heading naturally forms:

• Regular vertical folds
• An orderly contemporary appearance
• Easy installation
• Smooth movement along a suitable curtain rod

EXTRA LONG CURTAINS

Standard finished lengths extend all the way to 180 inches / 457.2 cm.

These extra-long curtain options are especially useful for:

• High ceilings
• Two-storey spaces
• Floor-to-ceiling windows
• Large formal living rooms
• Oversized bedroom windows
• Tall architectural windows

Intermediate custom lengths can also be requested by selecting the next available length up and entering your exact requirement in Personalization.

EXTRA WIDE CURTAINS

The 100-inch / 254 cm width option provides substantial fabric coverage for large windows and wide curtain rods.

Please remember that a 100-inch-wide curtain is produced by joining two approximately 50-inch-wide sections and therefore contains a vertical seam.

Once the curtain is gathered into its normal folds, this seam is barely visible.

BLUE CURTAINS FOR NEUTRAL INTERIORS

Although blue is the defining accent colour, this fabric remains exceptionally easy to coordinate because the blue is muted and the background is a soft ivory.

The curtains work beautifully with:

• White walls
• Off-white walls
• Cream walls
• Pale grey
• Greige
• Beige
• Natural oak
• White oak
• Walnut
• Dark stained wood
• Marble
• Limestone
• Natural stone
• Antique brass
• Brushed nickel
• Neutral upholstered furniture

The dusty blue can also coordinate beautifully with other restrained blue accents such as:

• Blue-grey upholstery
• Pale blue cushions
• Muted blue rugs
• Weathered blue ceramics
• Soft denim-blue accents

INTERIOR STYLES

The traditional damask motif combined with the restrained blue-and-ivory palette makes these curtains suitable for many decorating styles.

They work particularly well in:

• Traditional interiors
• Transitional interiors
• French-country-inspired homes
• European-inspired interiors
• Classic bedrooms
• Elegant living rooms
• Neutral dining rooms
• Updated traditional interiors
• Cottage-inspired homes
• Sophisticated farmhouse interiors
• Coastal-inspired neutral interiors
• Rooms combining antique and contemporary furniture

The fabric can make a decorative statement without introducing a strong or overpowering colour.

CAFE CURTAINS AVAILABLE

We can also make custom CAFE CURTAINS from this same blue-and-ivory linen jacquard fabric.

Cafe curtains are particularly suitable for:

• Kitchen windows
• Breakfast areas
• Bathroom windows
• Half-window privacy
• Small windows
• Laundry rooms
• Short window treatments
• Cottage-style windows

The decorative damask pattern makes this fabric particularly distinctive when used for short cafe curtains because the woven design adds interest without requiring additional trims or embellishment.

For a custom cafe-curtain size, select the next available size up that accommodates your required measurements and enter the exact finished width and height in the order details email.

WHY THIS FABRIC LOOKS DIFFERENT FROM A PRINTED CURTAIN

The damask design forms part of the jacquard weave itself rather than sitting on top of the linen as a flat surface print.

At a distance, the curtains read as a soft blue-and-ivory patterned window treatment.

At closer range, you can see:

• Fine woven texture
• Linen-like slubs
• Tonal yarn variation
• Woven jacquard detailing
• Softly distressed pattern edges
• Subtle differences in the density of the blue motifs

This woven variation is part of the character of the textile and contributes to its softly aged appearance.

PATTERN PLACEMENT

Because every curtain is individually cut from continuous patterned fabric, the exact position of the damask motifs will naturally vary depending on:

• Curtain width
• Curtain length
• Custom measurements
• Where the fabric repeat falls during cutting

Some medallions may naturally be partially cropped along the sides, heading or lower hem.

A custom curtain cannot therefore be guaranteed to contain exactly the same number or placement of complete motifs as another size.

PAIR ORDERS

When ordering a pair, the curtains are made as two coordinating panels from the same fabric design.

Because the jacquard has a continuous repeating pattern, minor differences in exact motif placement between individual panels may occur naturally.
