HOW TO MEASURE FOR INSIDE RECESS MOUNT
Inside recess mount means the Roman shade will fit inside the window frame opening.

1. Measure the inside width of your window recess at the top, middle, and bottom.
2. Use the smallest width measurement as your recess width.
3. Measure the inside height from the top of the recess to the sill in three places.
4. Use the longest height measurement as your recess height.
5. Please provide the exact recess measurements. We will make the necessary small fitting allowance for smooth operation.
6. Make sure your recess has enough depth for the Roman shade and hardware.

HOW TO MEASURE FOR OUTSIDE RECESS MOUNT
Outside recess mount means the Roman shade will be fitted on the wall, trim, or frame outside the window opening.

1. Measure the full area you want the Roman shade to cover.
2. For better privacy and light coverage, add extra width on both sides of the window opening where possible.
3. Many customers add 2 to 4 inches on each side, depending on available wall space.
4. Measure from the point where you want the top of the blind to sit down to the point where you want it to finish.
5. Please provide the exact finished blind width and finished blind height.
6. Outside recess fitting is a great choice when you want the blind to cover the complete window opening and reduce side light gaps.
